These folks did a WONDERFUL JOB on my 2012 E350 Cargo Van. I needed the van fixed in a hurry, and they agreed to fix the transmission that my shop removed and then replaced after the rebuild, saving time and money.200 miles in the van is shifting great and I have all my gears back.The owner Chad was great to deal with and they are highly recommended.

I can t tell you how great this shop is. Not only friendly, professional and knowledgeable, they had my rig fix and out the door in no time. They were able to fix a screw up from another shop knowing almost instantly what was wrong. I travel extensively across the USA and have been to many shops over the years for different car repairs and believe me none we re as good as this one. Stop by with confidence knowing your vehicle will be fixed right the first time with reasonable pricing.

I was having car trouble snd just pulled in. They were able to check my transmission without an appointment. They were very nice and explained my situation to me. I would recommend Aamco on Broad River Rd in Columbia SC.

What a great business! Chad is extremely personable and professional on the phones. They checked my transmission, told me nothing was wrong and gave it back. They are very professional and know what they do. I have Ford Focus and had issues with my transmission. At the word of transmission I was scared it would cost me a fortune, hesitantly I tried with AAMCO betting on my intuition. They repaired it well and it has been more than a year, I can't Thank them enough for good service at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend it for anyone with similar issues. Our car had been at a local Ford dealership with a coolant leak for 3 weeks. AAMCO found the leak within 20 minutes and had the part and fixed the leak within a couple of days. I was told yesterday that my car needed some major work and it was going to cost a lot! I took my chances calling and going to AAMCO and they were truly my blessing in disguise! Update: Aamco owned up to their mistake and took care of my truck in no time. I got my truck on Thursday 6/15 instead of the Friday 6/16 and I am very satisfied with the work done. I d recommend their services to anyone because they re good at what they do. I can work with a company who fixes their wrongs without a headache any day!As I am writing this review Aamco still hasn t even started working on my vehicle. My truck has been at Aamco since 5/15/2023. I wasn t originally given a finish date as the repairs are covered under warranty, so finish time depended on part shipment. My part reached the facility 6/2/2023. I was then told my truck would be ready for pick up by 6/7/2023. I contacted Aamco on 6/6/2023 to confirm pick up. I was informed workers have been out so my truck hasn t been started. They are now looking at possibly 6/14/2023 for pick up. I contacted Aamco 6/12/2023 to confirm pick up. I was told my truck still hasn t been started but hoping to be started 6/13/2023 for pick up 6/14/2023. I have contacted Aamco on 6/14/2023 about pick up to be informed my truck still hasn t been started and it may be ready Friday 6/16/2023. I understand things happen but accommodations should be made to assure the customers aren t drastically affected by the actions of employees choosing not to come to work. I was assured this would be a smooth process when I brought my truck to Aamco. I haven t had my truck for a month and the shop has had my part going on 2 weeks. My boyfriend and I are struggling for rides to work, when our truck should ve been repaired. I pray our truck is finished by 6/16/2023 so we can get back on track.Service: Transmission

They was great I came over to them after getting a quote for a new transmission from VW for $9,000! They don t charge anything for any diagnostics which is always great!! I met with Chris we talked and they ran across a quote of $8,500 well I wasn t gonna settle for that, well when I got their the owner said look for a pre owned transmission well they didn t find a good one until after I left one with 51k miles on it and to install and everything it was under $3k

Great first time experience. They were extremely busy but installed a new starter on my car before the weekend. As busy as they were, they took care of my vehicle within 24 hours!

I recently brought in a new to me, but very old 1993 Ford Explorer. I was unsure if I was having transmission issues or just struggling with the learning curve of my first manual vehicle. They performed diagnostics free of charge and got to the root of my problem. They gave me a reasonable quote and helped me get through the process of setting up financing since the price was a bit beyond my means at the time. This being my first major mechanic work, I definitely called and checked in way to much. But they where always courteous and seemed genuinely happy to take my call and answer my questions. I would not hesitate to bring my vehicle to them again and whole heartedly recommend them to anyone in need of good honest mechanic work!

Very nice gentleman. I took my vehicle in there as early as 8:22am and was out by 8:56am. The mechanic was very quick and helpful I definitely would recommend anyone to come here for any mechanical issues..also they gave me a free diagnosis. Thank you guys again.

Brought my car in to these guys recently for what idk because they just recently did a poor job rebuilding my girlfriends engine(still running hot). I Uber in my car so I get regular maintenance and inspections on my vehicle. I called them bc my vehicle s rpms were not right and was jerking which from experience points towards an issue with the electrical issue. I spoke with Chris after they inspected my vehicle and test drove it after only having it probably a little over 48 hrs and he told me i had a valve cover leak which I saw zero signs of leakage any where, my spark plugs were bad which I kept trying to tell him I would change myself but he came up with something off the wall basically saying they had to change them, and the first time I spoke with him he told me they changed a pcv valve but when I called less than 15 mins after picking up vehicle a day later and a half later he said it was the cam shaft sensor and it s all on recording. I tell him it s running rougher than when I brought it in and squeeling he tells me (and this is on recording also) that when u put new parts on your car will make sounds and to just drive it around and if it doesn t stop to bring it in Monday, it was a Thursday next day I call as soon as they open and spoke with Chris again and inform him I had to bring my car back asap and they had too look at it even if I drop it off today which is was Friday and they look at it Monday bc it was running that bad and he okayd it after I asked him numerous times which is also on recording since they rely on recordings so much, that if they missed anything while looking at my car I won t have to pay another other than the nearly $700 they charged me after theyoriginally quoted me around $640 and he told me numerous times that they wouldn t and that was the whole deal breaker of me even getting my vehicle towed back there versus finding someone to really fix my vehicle . Around noon on my way back from lunch i hear a POP and my battery light comes on. Pop hood and it s the alternator. Got it towed back to AAMCO. I speak with Chad and he tells me they would have to charge me for an alternator which doesn t make any sense to me bc after $700 and less than 24hrs later you tell me you have to charge me over a total of $1000+ for a problem you guys missed, and you guys are supposed to be certified mechanics. He then uses some asinine analogy it s like going to an eye doctor because you are blind and find out your leg is really broken instead of being the good Christian company they say they are and squaring it away for me since they missed it. Chad then presents an insulting solution, I pay for the alternator and he waves the labor, which was still going to basically pan out to paying $1000 for an alternator job at the end. Avoid these guys at all costs. There are other places I didn t know about at the time that will honestly service you and your vehicle and not just try and hit you over the head like your typical repair shopServices: Transmission, Electrical

Husband tooktruck to see if their was transmission problem and to see if it needed fluid changed. The tech came back and said we had a well maintained vehicle and no services were needed. I would highly recommend Aamco, they are very honest. They very well could have said he needed the fluids changed but did not.

Great People man. Chad is a great guy and he really treats his customers like family. I recommend any and everybody to go and let Chad work on your car. He makes sure you're updated frequently and his team did some awesome work reparing my fianc� Dodge Challenger. They stood behind the other aamcos work but thought 300 battery was bit extreme and asked politely to check for oil leak and said nothing found yet i found oil on bottom still and a loose oil filter just tight enough to stay on but not to hold in pressure of oil. If that's the "free" courtesy check, i got what was paid for. Truck back in shop for same problems ... enough said

James was very nice and friendly. He was able to schedule an appointment, for me, and get my car fixed, within a matter of a couple of days. I called on a Friday; appointment was made for Monday; and my car was fixed and ready to drive Monday evening (I didn't pick up until Tuesday). I had compared other local shops, for the same service, and his price, by far, was the most affordable one ($200 to $300 cheaper !). My son's car, a 2008 Mazda 3, is no longer leaking oil! Thank you, James. I will recommend others to your business.

They gave me a 90 day warranty. So far so go it's been 3 weeks. Trucks drives like new and I got a refurbished transmission. I Would definitely go back and give them my business.
