This is day 12 of not having any communication with this location after their technician failed to put my airfield back in its place resulting in my 2019 Nissan air filter sensor failing on the interstate. This left me stranded on the side of the road and having to pay $1,200 for repairs and a tow. I have followed up with corporate and Kyle the location manager and no one has reached out to me about this situation. Do not go to Pepboys and just spend the money somewhere else. I only came into this location to get my oil changed.Update- it has now been 24 days with no escalation on this situation.

Let me first and foremost thank the service manager, Daryll. He is absolutely amazing. He makes all customers feel welcome and explains everything in detail. He also takes amazing care of me when I come in, he understands my schedule and gets me in and out.I came in this morning for needing a new battery, I was in and out in less than 40 minutes. This includes the fact that they have to be delivered then installed.Thank y all for being there for me!!!!!!

As a car guy I would never consider taking my car to a pep boys, jiffy lube or any other quick service place.My fianc� has a company car and her company has a service agreement with pep boys so she has it serviced there at no cost to her. They consistently do a poor job. They change the oil so fast that I m not sure that they actually change it. She had asked for tire patches due to nails but they don t do it. She has asked them to add air to her tires, they don t do it. They recommend engine and cabin air filters at every service even if it was done the last time (it probably wasn t even if they said it was). She offers to leave the car for the weekend, no rush but everything is done within 20-30 mins no matter what or how much she request them to do. Please find a thorough and reputable shop to work on your vehicle because this place isn t it!

I went in with a brake problem,Brakes going to floor,they put new brake pads on.that did not help,but I've got almost 400 dollars for pad,then they bled the brakes 77.00 more dollars.That still didn't do no good.so I left the same way I c a me in.spoogle brakes.so I ordered a master brake cylinder from o,Reilly, part was 125.00 labor 386.00 that didn't work. So then they said it was the brake booster, so I ordered one from O'Reilly it was 198.00,went back with the part to be installed, Kyle told me Jeff was off ,so I left the car there a day and half,I called Kyle the next day he told me that.they couldn't fix that ,that they didn't have the equipment there to do it.bottom line ,if things don't smell right it ain't right.900.00 later it was the same way.ill never use pep boys again.need training .PS.i have to say Kyle manager real nice,the Jeff the mechanic. Nice also.but nice didn't fix my car. I had to take it to Goodyear get it fixed.Stay clear.

Okay so I m a picky guy, but not one thing to say but 110% awesome service, by the best, knowledgeable, courteous, timely associates I ve seen in a long time! Just got home and am still amazed. Nice to do business with folks like these guys. A+ for Lake Wylie Pep Boys.

We don't want to have to get repairs on our vehicle. We'd love it if they just worked without issues. The truth is they wear and tear and if we don't have the means to fix it ourselves then we need someone who we can trust. Someone who is honest, reliable, and knowledgeable. In today's world, it's hard to distinguish between a mechanic with these traits and one who is just out for your money. Darryl at Pep Boys is without a doubt the former between these two. He has helped me twice this year and I thank God for it. Not only is he knowledgeable in his chosen craft, but he stands by his word, hardworking, and is truly honest and helpful. If you don't know who to turn to then I would say, take it to Darryl at Pep Boys.

The customer service and quality of Pep Boys in Lake Wylie is second to none! I was in a pinch and needed a new headlight bulb installed in my 1993 Honda Civic--I am terrible with car stuff, and Kyle was able to solve the problem! It took no time at all! I appreciate his friendly demeanor and car know-how! I have been here before, but only for tires--again everything was top-notch! Respect the car experts out there who do this stuff each and every day, but especially the associates at Pep Boys in Lake Wylie! Highly recommended and I will be back for automotive needs!

This garage went above and beyond the call of duty. They took us even though they had actually closed for 20 minutes and got our tire on the same day. Kudos to everybody there.

These guys are the best. After starting my car both my headlights went out. It was dark outside so I rolled over to Pep Boys (same parking lot thank goodness) They had already closed for the evening but both gentlemen were so nice and they took care of me on the spot no questions asked.

I m so happy I went here! I got a nail in my tire and they were able to patch it quickly without requiring an appointment! The waiting area was clean and stocked with snacks, water, and coffee. Also Todd and his staff were professional and kind. I will definitely be back!

Pictures below shows the damage this pepboys mechanic did on my vehicle which caused him to lose his job(an employee mentioned this to me) The store manager TODD has been saying for the past 2 weeks my car would be fix and promised me on Friday 12/30 it would be done that day or Saturday morning but that was clearly a lie since I m writing this review. Since then for some strange reason Todd has not returned any of my calls.I called again today and spoke with the assistant manager who just put everything on Todd and didn t provide me with any update. Promised that him or Todd would be contacting me by 1pm today and guess what? NO ONE CALLED. I ve called twice at 2:16 and again at 6:37 and no one picked up. I will be contacting corporate about this matter and this so called manager

I have gone to Pep Boys several times since they opened in Lake Wylie/Clover. EVERY TIME I have received outstanding service! The Assistant Manager Kyle always takes the time to explain what needs to be done and offers cost saving solutions. Thank you Pep Boyd. We will be back!!

I'm pretty skeptical of chains in general, but this Pep Boys is awesome. Had to have tires rotated and balanced and then happened to run over a nail the next day and had a flat. These guys were great, super nice, quick and great price. Seem like genuine car dudes who aren't trying to give you the runaround

I went to this Pep Boys location in Clover yesterday and had a horrible experience I feel I should share with the public. I arrived early for my scheduled appointment and explained the issue with my car running weak and heavy vibrations in idle. My engine light was on and I told him I need it off Kyle said they will run a diagnostic check for $99.00 and after they ran it said as I and the shop expected a Intake sensor. So I agreed to that and a simple tune up and fuel cleaning and about an hour later Kyle came back and said he was sorry he forgot to tell me I needed a needed an ignition coil or my engine light will have to stay on. (So it was something else that the engine light was detecting and I m already quoted $520.00 or so agreed to the tuneup, fuel cleaner, and sensor and I at that time remembered I probably should ask about oil change and I found a 25% coupon. I went over with Kyle the type of oil I needed and he gave me my final quote of 963.00 dollars and some change. (After added oil change and ignition coil So I m there 4 1/2 hours and he came out and said my car was ready. The bill was over a thousand dollars and I wondered why it went up but I just paid it and went to my car looking over the receipt and noticed it didn t mention an oil change so I went back into the Pep Boys store and asked Kyle about the oil change. He looked at me and said, We didn t decide on the oil change so I didn t do it . ..I just looked at him and started to remind him of our conversation and he stopped me and apologized and said I m sorry we will have it done in 20 minutes I swear. I was there for two more hours until finally I was able to drive away but not after Kyle charged me again for the oil change after he had already quoted me earlier with oil change including. So he charged me separately and even said he couldn t give me the coupon price because it (whatever that means) wouldn t let him do it . So my final bill got upped again. He kept saying, the next time I ll hook you up, I promise After being there 6 and a half hours I was just ready to get out of there. Went to my car looked up in the corner to see my renewed oil sticker and guess what it was not there. I don t know. I feel I got robbed today. $1022.00 and terrible service.and still not sure I got that oil change. But I sure got a maxed out Credit Card. Thanks a lot Pep Boys (makes me wonder if all the things got done???)

Amazing service! They were able to help us out asap with replacing a flat tire to get us home as we were visiting from out of town. Workers are extremely friendly and helpful and go above and beyond for their customers.

I needed some work done pretty last minute and they stayed late to make sure it was done. I was expecting a worst case scenario but things turned out very well and they gave me a huge discount based on the circumstances. Awesome work as always, very clean place, and wonderful staff.

This is a great place to have your car or truck serviced, Todd the manager is very professional and a very nice guy he runs a nice clean place and the employees are great! Had a tire on our work truck needed attention, three places told me they couldn't plug or patch because it was too heavy, just looking at it out the window, Stop by Pep Boy's, Dj and Todd came out took look at it said give us a minute and we'll have you taken care of! Excellent service!! *****LOOK***** I went back today for a repair and was told they couldn't help me, I told them I was helped here before, hints the reason I drove outta my way to bring my business somewhere where I know I could be helped, then the guy starts bashing the employees that were there before him, the guys before you got a great review, I hate I didn't get your name, but you stood there 10 minutes giving me reasons why y'all couldn't help me, have intentions of ever stopping there again.

My wife and I moved here late last year. You really never know what you are going to get in terms of car care. The manager, Darryl, is very knowledgeable and the service has been great. Thanks to Darryl and his team for taking care of us.

Great facility. Have brought multiple vehicles to this location and have always been treated with the highest of respect. Todd , the Manager goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are informed and updated throughout the process. Grace is so sweet and helpful. The shop staff does great work and my vehicles always leave clean and on great shape. They even do scheduled maintenance which keeps me from having to go uptown to the dealership. Highly recommend them for all your service needs

We made an appt for 8am, Darryl was the first to greet us. He was so nice and welcoming, we got the tires we needed and an oil change and out the door to get us back on the road during our trip up north! Couldn t be happier with the service and friendly/professionalism from the staff; especially Darryl!

Todd and his team are super helpful. I had a nail in my my tire and they fixed it with no appointment needed. He remembered me and my dad plus calls us by our first name out of memory, love when that happens. They are pretty details with getting approval before running any additional test or completing a task that is expensive. Def recommend them!

I had an appointment and when I arrived the man at the counter said he tried to call me He then tried my phone number right there and it worked yet I had no record of him calling me the day before as he said. He then proceeded to talk about rescheduling because he was short staffed which I did not want to do because it was my only day off that week. Then he wanted to look at my car. He said, since it was less than a year, I should go to where the work was done before because of a warranty (makes sense). I asked him if he would do it at all. He said he will only do it for more than I wanted, tripling the price. While the one suggestion made sense, I got the impression he did not want to do the work at all. If can't or won't do the work just say so. This is not the only bad experience I've had at Pep Boys. It had been a long time ago and a different location so I thought to give them a chance. Nope. Not anymore.

I ve had nothing but great experiences every-time I ve had a service here, but my most recent visit confirmed this particular location is here to serve the people of clover and stand out among the other options in the area. My services have been completed in a timely manner and I don t walk out feeling hassled. I had a tire issue my most recent visit and Todd took care of me like I was family. In today s economy every penny counts and it matters where and how you spend money. I don t get nickel and dime s here, so I ll definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks again Todd for your great customer service!

After ordering a set of 4 tires, 3 were delivered but the 4th continued to have a delayed delivery by the distributor. Todd, the manager of Pep Boys went to the warehouse where the tire was and picked the tire up himself during his free time so that I could come the next day for my tire change. He is very personable and went above and beyond to make sure I had a good experience. Highly, highly recommend!

My experience at this location was incredible! Todd the manager was extremely nice and understanding. Once I explained my problem with my car, he immediately knew what was wrong. I waited about 30 minutes, which was faster than I thought! The location has a nice and clean waiting area where I was able to work on my computer. If you ever have an opportunity to come to this location, please ask for Todd. He will make your experience there nice and easy. Thank you Todd!!
