I needed a battery replacement (1/29) for one that was installed out of town (Hickory, NC). Angel went above and beyond to contact the store in Hickory and help me get back on the road.

When to get vehicle battery tested. Place was not busy at all. Was not welcomed . Somewhat helped as entering. Got my battery tested and found out that I did need a new one. So, went back into store looked up battery, bought & paid for it. Then all of a sudden the other two guys that was working disappeared & the guy that was helping me disappeared and went off helping two other guys. After paying over $300 you would think he would or should finish the job right away but.... The guy that helped me finally got done with them & still no sign of the other employees. It took the guy that helped me out about 30 minutes or so to change a battery. One of the employees came outside to hlep once, I even helped him at 1 point and thier was another staff member that actually came to work while he was working on the project.

Bought a new battery several months ago. I had trouble with it starting and they gave me a new battery (no Questions asked) The staff was so nice and got the new battery installed and they was so wonderful. The staff makes this place

I would often visit this Advanced Auto Parts due to its location within Chapin. I never had an issue with ordering parts, online pickup for orders, or just to come in and pick up odds and ends. That is, until this evening. I had a check engine light and since I already knew what the code was, what I was looking for was a printout detailing the code and possible solutions. I asked the gentleman at the register for the solutions printout. He hesitated and gestured to his supervisor, who was moving a cart with parts behind the register. He repeated my question to the supervisor, and the supervisor gruffly responded, without looking at me, "She can look up the code on her phone and Google it, alright?" I was stunned as I have never been treated in this manner by any staff at any Advanced Auto until tonight. I politely thanked them, still stunned and now embarrassed, and left the store. I ended up going to their competitor up the road. The assistant manager there promptly retrieved his scan tool, found another error code, punched in a few keys, and in less than a minute, gave me the information I needed. All I requested was a minute or two of the employees' time at Advanced Auto Parts to address a couple error codes and was rudely brushed off. Not to worry, the competitor up the road has gained a new client going forward.

Didn't have the car wax/wash I wanted, ceramic turtle wax, but they did have my 3rd brake bulb and the lady was really nice and helpful at helping me find similar soap and getting me one light bulb from the back so I didn't have to pay for a pack of 2 when I'll never ever need the second one.

I stopped by in the middle of a rainstorm needing windshield wipers and Kyla was super sweet and so much help! She even changed my blades for me which was very much appreciated. I will definitely be back here next time I am in town and in need of car supplies.

We traveled around the barren wasteland that is Chapin on a Tuesday at 8pm searching for a screwdriver. THEY LITERALLY JUST LET US BORROW TWO AND OFFERED TO HELP US! They are wonderful and I adore them

These folks are always helpful. Only negative is that they are so good at what they do, there is usually a wait. But after a few minutes they are happy to help, and get me on my way every time.

Very reliable help offered here and they are courteous and friendly, however, business orientated. Many items and parts you need for your vehicle offered here with reasonable prices. If they don't have it they'll find another location that has it and you may pick it up or someone will deliver it to their store later. If it's something that has to be ordered they'll help you get it ordered and delivered to their store for you or if you'd rather it be delivered to you they'll do that.

Had a dead battery, so jumped it off, made a stop and while there with the truck running purchased a battery online with my phone and showed up fifteen minutes later and the order was ready. One of the staff came out and installed the battery and I was gone in a few minutes. She was awesome, I wish I could remember her name, as was the entire experience, excluding the dead battery. Wish I could give more than five stars. Highly recommend!

New to the area. Went in just for some oil. Greeted right away, found what I needed, browsed a bit (hey, it's an auto parts store), was greeted again at the register, and made my purchase. Nice people, clean store, easy to navigate!

Went into the store Chris standing with his hands in his pockets doing absolutely nothing as others worked...... he finally asked if he could help I then asked if he could check to see if the fuse was blown for the lighter port. If so I d gladly purchase one so I may charge my phone.I was traveling alone. He never took his hands from his pockets he stated absolutely not it s against corporate rules. He said the store has been sued 4x and they can t touch my car because they aren t a shop! Wow what happened to simple service? Also, customer service most lay people can t recognize a blown fuse or where to locate it. He s definitely not an asset to anyones company.

Called ahead to see if I could get a headlamp bulb and if they would pop it in for me. Was told they would only to find out they would not after I got there. Went to O Reilly down the street and got it done with a much nicer staff. O Reilly customer from now on!

It s 4pm on Friday. I am ready to leave for a trip except my car will not crank. I called Advance Auto in Chapin SC in hopes of speaking with some one for advice on what might be wrong. I m going on vacation and desperately need to get on the road. A young man name Chris answered, ask me to explain the problem I am having. Chris says mam it s your battery. Chris offered to bring me a battery and was at my house in 15 minutes with 2 batteries to assure he had the correct one. Chris changed my battery and I was on the road by 5pm. I simply googled auto store and had a very pleasant experience solving a problem. Chris made my problem, his problem, that turned out not to be a problem because of wonderful service. Thanks Advance Auto for having Chris on your team!

Brought an old battery in here yesterday with the intention of buying a new one. My hands were dirty and I went to use the hand sanitizer on the counter. I was stopped by Melany, who told me that was only for the employees . I told her I just needed one squirt to clean my hands because I was getting ready to buy a battery from her. She said, no sir, that s for the employees only . I asked her if I needed to shop elsewhere or can I get a squirt of hand sanitizer. She said shop somewhere else .That s what I ll be doing from now on. YOU should too. New place near Sonic.

Mutiple bad experiences unless its one of the managers helping! They used to be good but have gone down hill lately. I called to check on a part and the person that answered the phone told me they didnt have it and I could tell she didnt even check. I drove there 10 minutes later and it was on the shelf. Called today for a part and just found it easier after being on hold etc. for over 15 minutes to go to Oriellys in Irmo! Beware of incorrect information amd parts!

Refuse to keep oil filter books out forcing you to wait in line to look up anything. Force you to give personal info just to buy parts. I remember when you could look up your own filters and an exchange of goods just needed cash. Frustrating every visit. Would not recommend.

Excellent service. I purchased a car battery less than a year. The salesperson checked the battery found that it had to be replaced. The battery was replaced and installed no questions asked. Great experience.

HORRIBLE SERVICE, I called and verified that they had what I needed in stock. They said that they did, I drove 25mins. to get there. Only to hear that they didn't have the product. " I must have looked at it wrong " was the reply that I received. SAVE YOURSELF THE TRIP ,SHOP ELSEWHERE !!!!!!

Needed a new battery! The two ladies last night were very knowledgeable and helpful. Lots of options and inventory! One of the ladies installed my battery for me! I will be back!!
