I give Fred's Service Center my highest rating. Personnel are attentive and informed. Car repairs are completed on time and thorough. Everyone who knows this center speak highly of Fred's integrity and skill.

Be careful with these people. They are unreliable and dishonest!Here was terrible experience with them.My car (2012 Accord) has sat in the garage for a long time as I was away. Last week, I tried to run it again. It can be started but didn't drive smoothly, and there was some straight sound. I guessed that some services needed to be done, so I first called another repair shop, which I usually go. Unfortunately, they said that they had been fully booked for two weeks, and suggested Fred's to me. So, I had my car towed and left it there.After a couple of hours, Fred called me saying that they looked at it and the total cost for the repair would be more than $1,200. He said that the brakes were rusted badly, which alone cost more than $700 to replace. I was very skeptical and thought I should get a second opinion about it. The next day, I picked up my car (after paying a hefty $220 for the diagnose and injector cleaner, waiting more than 20 minutes there because the lady kept calling and getting calls), and took it to a nearby Honda dealer. The dealer changed the oil, inspected the car, and then told me that the brakes are fine! The same day I got the state emission/safety test done.Now I understand why the other place is always so busy, and Fred's is not. I won't recommend this shady place to anyone I know. I would give them zero star if there is such an option.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes

Told my mother she needed new brakes, I checked and the pads were almost new. They also torqued the lug nuts on so tight I had to use a breaker bar and it sheared off a lug. Not recommended.

Just received A repair on my Aaron's snowblower charged me 183.87 for 2 belts 80.00 labor. 97 parts +tax .i just. looked online for the parts.total price for parts from Arians dealer with 3 day shipping 42.00 doubled the price in parts

Just went here to get work done to my Chevy. It was a decent amount of work and when my wife spoke to the receptionist so they said to drop it off Thursday morning and it would be done by Friday evening. So my wife and I go to drop it off Wednesday night so we can avoid the hassle of traffic on Thursday morning. Well I get a voicemail from the owner asking why on Thursday at 3:30pm my vehicle is in their lot. The receptionist never put the appointment in the book so me and my wife had to coordinate picking up a car in rush our traffic because they couldn't book another appointment until another 2 weeks out and the receptionist refused to take accountability for her mistake and didn't even apologize for the mistake she made. If they can't even schedule a simple appointment in a book properly or take accountability for a simple mistake I sure ain't trusting my vehicle with them. If you are reading this then maybe seek auto services elsewhere.

My son rented a small U-haul from Fred s and when my husband brought it back the next morning the woman wasn t very customer friendly. My husband wanted a receipt for the return of the truck in good condition and the woman made all kinds of excuses why she wasn t able to print him out one. Then she sent someone out to inspect the truck and still she wasn t able to print him his receipt. My husband asked for someone to sign something stating the truck was returned back in perfect condition and neither her or the manager would do so. She told my husband is he wanted a receipt he had to go to U-haul on North Broadway to get one. We had to drive over there and go get a receipt. My husband was in and out of the East Providence U- haul I. 2 minutes. My husband spent over 45 minutes in Fred s trying to get a receipt and walked out with nothing. I would never recommend this place in a million years.

Fred's Service Center always takes care of our cars in a timely, friendly, and professional manner. They never try to pressure us into services we don't need. They don t deserve 1 star. Had car towed there Tuesday cause went thru a puddle so electrical problem. 3 days later they still hadn t looked at the vehicle. Had to have it towed to a garage who at least knows what they re doing.

My daughters car keep overheating brought it to Fred s he ordered a new part installed charged almost 400 for the repair here we are same problem with the same part Fred would do nothing less then 2 months later. The new garage we brought it to charged less then half of Fred s price. This guy is a ripoff and is RUDE take your vehicle elsewhere unless you want to pay a lot of money and have to pay again and again.

I trust them completely with all my cars. I trust that they'll take care of anyone I send there including my kids! I love Michelle. She is so easy to work with, very good at what she does, and tolerates my insanity :D . I would (and have) recommended Fred's to anyone. Missing EP, sorry you haven't been well Mr Capaldi, Hi Cheryl, Hi Michelle. Nobody knows more about small engines than Charlie. I bought a very expensive lawn mower at another dealer and all I had was problems. Electric start would hardly ever work and other numerous problems. Selling dealer was worthless. Brought it into Freds and he fixed it under warranty. He did not just fix the problems I told him about but went though the whole machine. Ran like a different mower after it was returned. Very friendly too. I do all my business with Fred now.

Excellent all around the Customers Service rep Michelle is extremely knowledgeable and resourcefulThe business owner Fred is the BEST mechanic in the area, he knows the Community well and is highly respected . Very conscious that customers need their car back in a predictable time and keeps his word. Fred assists you with making the best decisions, he has a lifetime of Mechanic experience.Never have issues with my vechicle after I leave his shop, and the prices are fair and I never have felt I got my pocket picked .He only hires the best mechanics- who stay with him for years Ray showed me in a Booklet my cars latest issue and how he will fix it .All around I'll keep coming back ( been with Fred'ss approx. 24 yrs )

Kept my vehicle for 3 days still didn t get the job done .after they promised I wouldGet it back in a days time. Then called me at the end of day 3 and said he refused to fix it . Because I expressed my frustration to them that I need my vehicle .

Amazing service had a couple issues to find out the culprit but they went above and beyond and honestly never seen service like that.. They didnt give up and they took care of me.. The most honest mechanic around and at first i was very nervous because the horror stories i hear about mechanics but freds auto took all my anxiety away and like insaid they wemt above and beyond for me and im very happy with the final result
