I took my Wrx to Armitage's to have a valve body replaced. When I arrived to discuss my issues, the gentlemen I talked to was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He gave me a quote and I made my appointment. I dropped my car off the night before my appointment and got a call the next day before 12 saying my car was all done. Super fast service, the price was exactly what I was quoted, and he answered all questions I had about the job they performed. I highly recommend this shop for any work, especially anything subaru related. Attached are before and after pictures of the dash lights they fixed with the job. PS. They also have two cool dogs who appear to oversee the entire operation

I took my car to get a second opinion on issues a different shop identified. The other shop wanted to put about $1800 in parts to fix the front suspension. I brought the car to Armitage's for them to look at. They put the car up on the lift, brought me in, and showed me that there were no issues that would fail the car for the safety inspection. Additionally, they said that if I needed to fix an issue, they would suggested to only replace the bushings at a cost of around $180 a piece, not the high cost to replace a whole part. I would trust this shop with any repairs and will be bringing my cars to them in the future.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Poor customer service. Since the woman I spoke to had written an lengthy essay like we write during our examination. Ok, here we are. I was skeptical whether the appointment is on today or tomorrow but I could remember that the appointment at 11 AM, That's what I remember. If you call yourself as respect then the first thing your business has to do if to call if your customer didn't shows up before you even fill with another appointment, which you didn't do at all. Even then I was ready to show up today and stay till my car is fixed after all I ignored the shuttle service but she bluntly replied it not possible at all. The response was not at all in a pleasing manner!!! After all I'm not asking for any free service or charity funds from you. This is called earning respect through your customer service and that's how it should. And remember, there is a saying that "Customers are always right if your way of dealing with them is right". Now I don't have any regret of saying from Poor to Worst Customer service!!!. This place is now known for Lack of Customer handling with proper respect..

Took my bike to Armitage's a couple years ago for a Enhanced Vehicle Safety Inspection. Had called around to a bunch of places and mostly got turned away from shops being unknowledgeable about the subject.Armitage's told me what I needed to bring and made the process simple. I drove a far distance and dropped the bike off. Turned out I forgot rear reflectors and stop light switch wasn't fully functioning. Rather than failing me they helped me out by installing some small reflectors and doing a quick wiring fix to allow the bike to pass inspection and so I didn't have to drive all the way back for nothing.I recommend this place to people because they seem to be one of the few places that do this for bikes and know what they're talking about. Quite far from me but it was worth it to convert my title. Plus they had cool pups in the shop.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

I have used Armitage s many times and always walk away completely satisfied. They price fairly and always discuss the issues and options for repairs. My husband called and asked about a salvage title and transfer. Cindy was very helpful in explaining what we would need to complete the transaction, etc. Plan on going to them as soon as we get the vehicle.

I moved back to PA from MD within the past year, as well as got married, and my husband suggested coming here instead of going to PennDot for my title/name/registration transfer. They were awesome!! They were extremely knowledgeable and made the transaction so easy! (Tip: Just make sure you call ahead if you unsure of the documentation you need. Don't be frustrated with them if you don't have the right stuff. They clearly told me what I needed ahead of time.) All I had to do was sign! They got me taken care of right away. So I figured since I was there and it was close by, I would have them just do the PA inspection as well. Dropped my car of the night before and got a call before noon the next day that my car was complete. I usually take my car to the dealership- not anymore :)

Armitage's has been taking care of our company vehicles for about 8 years. Always easy to deal with and do great work. I have started to take my personal vehicles here and they always take care of me and have handled some pretty difficult jobs. If you are tired of feeling like the dealerships are ripping you off then move on to a friendly local business like Armitage's!

Owner really helped me out on short notice with mounting a motorcycle tire. Stayed over a few minutes after closing so I could pick it up. Planning on using this shop for things I don't have time or the specific tools to do myself.

I highly recommend them. The first time we used them about a week later we got a check in the mail with an apology letter because they accidentally overcharged us and we knew right then that they were very honest because not many places would do that. We have now been going there for years and they are great and their prices are very good. They always take time to help you and even go for a drive with you if needed. They helped me so much with my Durango and I was there so much for issues and each time they come out to help. I was just recently told by the dealer that a noise I hears was my tag and they did if that's not it which I knew it wasn't that it was my rear sway bar links causing the noise because they had a lot of play and they gave me a crazy high price to replace them. I took it to Armitage and they called and said the sway bar links had no play and they had me come to for a drive so I could tell them what the noise I heard was and they stoppo and went for a drive with me and the noise we heard wasn't even coming from the back like the dealer said. They are so nice and so honest and we recommend them to anyone who asks if we know a good auto shop. And I saw a comment on here about a lady at the desk talking to them in a rude tone and I am not trying to argue but the lady behind the desk is probably the nicest person I have ever met and I don't think she could talk in a rude tone if she tried. Everyone there is just as nice as they can be and they always go above and beyond go help people. Five stars is the highest but I would give them more if it went higher. Just got my Armada back and it runs great!!!! Glad I didn't let the dealer fix what they said was wrong because I would have gotten ripped off since what they said needed to be replaced wasn't what was wrong. Thank you guys so much!!!!

Will never deal with them again. they no longer want to work on my car due to dog hair and odor. my car windows were left down in the rain and yes there is a mildewy odor in the car. What they fail to understand is I am single handedly taking care of a parent with dementia and am so busy trying to be a caretaker to an ever worsening parent, that yes, things have been let go in my own life while I tend to the needs of a loved one.. it was humiliating to be treated this way and I will never go back to them or recommend them to anyone again. It was a kick while I am down and not what I need at this already difficult time. So while they were inconvenienced by my mess for a short time, I have been inconvenienced over the past 4 + years as I struggle to meet mom's needs and do it all by myself.

Very impressed first time I stopped in making appt for Inspection was greeted and welcomed right away. Very Clean & very impressed. Offered me many options for my appt. They also Detail cars as well. Explained all services and answered any questions that I had and I felt comfortable using them for the 1st time. Very Impressed!

Needed transmission replaced. Quoted at roughly $1700 then got bill for $2039. Stated I ok'd an oil pan from my car to used transmission for $180 but was told $80. Stated it is his policy to have customers sign an agreement stating that if they put in a used transmission and it's faulty, you are responsible for the labor to put in and remove it and labor for a installation of working one.Basically despite an estimate, having you sign an open ended labor contract

Do not...I repeat..do NOT use the Armitages tag and title service under any circumstance. Incredibly lousy service. Please read! I bought a car from a local lot down the street from Armitage(love the car). The owner suggested that we transfer and title and tag the car right down the street at this place. What we thought was a 1-2-3 routine procedure that we had performed many other times at "AAA" in Shrewsbury, quickly turned into a freekin nightmare beyond proportions! It's like this. When you pay a premium for a service, you expect that it will be done efficiently, and correctly. WRONG HERE!! A month after driving around on the temporary tag/registration provided by Armitage, (PS...paid in FULL)....we received a letter from Pennsylvania DMV stating that we still owed them $31 and that we will not receive anything from them (title, registration, etc) until the money is paid. What a crock!! That is what we paid Armitage for!!!! It's called "One stop shopping" people. That is supposed to be the attraction. However, not in our case!! The VERY next day, I sent my wife BACK up to Armitages...OVER a 40 mile drive ONE WAY....to get it all straightened out....AND GUESS WHAT?!?!? SHE WAS TOLD IN RUDE FASHION, BY A female CO-WORKER at the adjoining desk, THAT THE LADY WHO DOES THE TITLING IN ON VACATION AND DOESN'T KNOW WHEN SHE WILL BE BACK!!! GREAT!!! Just great!!! Long and short, my wife marched down to our local "AAA" and they were glad to take care of us....But people be warned....I will NEVER EVER use an unprofessional 2 bit service such as this ever again. I would suggest you don't either.
