I ve been buying cars for 30 years, and our recent Crosstrek purchase was the first one I would call pleasant. I worked with Garrett on the purchase and was very satisfied. (I would highly recommend him.) Other than some pressure from the finance guy to purchase an aftermarket warranty (annoying, but expected that s how the dealership makes some extra money), this was a very straightforward and easy buying experience.Edit: I think there is a misunderstanding in the owner's response. We're new to the area. Prior vehicles bought at other dealerships in other states.

Wow! Subaru really came through for me recently with my Forester. In the 8 years I ve had her, she only recently had ONE issue. Ever! That s never happened with other cars I ve owned! Through it all I was so entirely impressed with the entire service department. For me, the service department makes or breaks where I purchase from. (And yes I have some high standards having had bad experiences in the past with different brands of cars and different dealerships). Thank you Thank you! I felt treated like a VIP the entire time. You really know how to take care of your customers! (And thank you for the sweet loaner over the week of work. I never planned on ever getting rid of my Forester because no other compares to my Stick Shift Queen. Buuuuuut the Outback Wilderness? . You knew exactly what to hook me up with!). Thank you again!

I purchased a Subaru from them in December of 2023. Not everything about my experience was ideal, but the staff worked hard to rectify a serious error that had been made by a member of the sales staff. I would return there and purchase another vehicle and would recommend them to my family and friends.

I have owned subaru for many years but this is going to be it. I have a 2020 subaru forester and at 66k, i started having thermal control valve problem which i never had issues like this with my honda and acura that i owned before. However, the problem is that service people at this dealership is rude and over charge for everything. My vehicle was not in a drivable condition but they were not giving me any estimate on when the loaner will be available. They said they will follow up but no one called. Then once the car was finally done, they said they will be charging 4% credit card fee. I m spending over 2k to fix the thermal control valve and i can t even use my credit card? Never heard of a car dealership charging a credit card fee. I m definitely disappointed at their service. Never coming to this one again. Hope this review helps.

We bought a Subaru Forester from Stocker Subaru last month. Garret Lauder and Sam helped us to make the purchase. Initially we were looking for a Subaru WRX. Garret showed us the car and explained to us the pros and cons of the WRX. At the same time he recommended other models for us to choose from. After we decided to take the Forester, they explained to us every detail about the vehicle and the finance options These two gentlemen made our purchase a very pleasant experience.

I bought my BRZ from the stocker Subaru dealer. I really appreciate the seller man - Skyler, who give me a lot of help during my purchase.Skyler has strong capability and high responsibility. He gave me a phone call within 1 hour when the new BRZ 2023 order is open and helped me to place my order within another 1 hour. During my waiting for my new car, he can always give me in-time updates on my order status. Besides, Skyler is also very nice to help me to deal with some after-purchase problems I encountered. Therefore, I would highly recommend stocker Subaru and Skyler to you when you are going to purchase your car.

I'm giving 2 star because the folks at service and financing deserve 5 stars, but before you purchase a used car from them make sure you have it checked by another shop.Just over a year ago I bought a 2012 Nissan Rogue. Due to the pandemic prices were high, I get that, but I was WAY overcharged.Shortly after buying the car my blower fan up and died on me. Lucky for me, I had the extended warranty and it was covered. That was going to be an estimated $300-$600 to fix after just about a month.After my first oil change, I was told that my engine was leaking oil really really badly. At the time of sale, I was assured that this vehicle was in great shape and that it "shouldn't need" alot of work done.I called to find out about what would be covered in the warranty and was told that I would need to pay a diagnostic check fee of $300+ dollars before I could even find out if any of the leak was covered by warranty. I continued to regularly change the oil to make sure it would make it til I could afford a fee that may have been for nothing.Fast forward to yesterday. I go for my first inspection, a year after buying it, and I am essentially given a list of things that are wrong that I specifically inquired about at the time of sale. I was assured by a salesman, on the Subaru side where I bought it, that this car was in great shape with little to no rust under the car....Not only was a part completely rusted out, but the repairs would cost well over double the value of the vehicle.Needless to say, this has been a nearly 12 grand error buying from them. Please do yourself a favor and have someone do a thorough secondary inspection before trusting your salesman.Update 10/6/23: Well over a month, at least, since I was told I would be contacted with some sort of resolution. I am still awaiting a call.I also paid of the entirety of the loan on the vehicle and have not recieved my title. This continues to be a problem. I want to be rid of this vehicle and I am unable to sell because the title has not been released.

I went in with my 13 Outback for what I thought was front hub assemblies and it turns out that the transmission was bad so they say. They had put the transmission in which was used from Stoystown Auto Salvage. When I got in the car back I noticed that there was no power steering and as I proceeded to look under the hood . I saw that there was no power steering fluid has it went on for mayor we ended up changing both CV axles of all joint a prop shaft and now the transmission that they had gotten from stoystown Automotive is broke. I have been told by Matt Roan many times that I am no longer welcome at Stocker's Automotive facilities and any problem with the transmission I am to take up with Stoystown Auto Salvage. I contacted Stoystown and they asked me to get a fluid sample and it so happens that they feel that Stocker Automotive has put the wrong fluid in the CVT TRANSMISSION. I've contacted Stockers Subaru many times and they will not return my call and tell me that I am no longer welcome at their facilities soI have a positive experience no I have a broken transmissi on and no one will fix it

I have been a loyal Stocker customer for years and will continue to do so. They have never tried to upsell me and have been honest and helpful. I bought my outback there years ago and when the wheels finally fall off, I ll be back at Stocker Subaru checking out their new electric vehicles. There is a reasons that you see so many Subarus in State College.

I posted a picture of my oil change sticker and odometer because I dropped off my car RIGHT AFTER getting an oil change somewhere else and mysteriously it is 16 miles driven. Not much sure, but they had no business driving my car that far for any reason! It doesn't take 10+ miles of driving to see if the car's maintenance issue was still present. Repair does seem to be good, but labor was complete BS, only reason I didn't fix the issue myself is because I was going on vacation. I know it would have taken me no more than an hour or 2 if I was going slow to get the job done and they charged me $400 in fricken labor!!!!! Even the oil change place offered to do it really quick for free if I bought the part but turned out they didn't have one on hand so went to these guys. Complete scammers in the service department!!!Update May 2019: So I noticed it the same month I posted this, that they had apparently broken off the Subaru emblem on my engine cover. I was just over thinking about these guys but Google said that people have been reading this review like crazy so I figured that I should update this. My opinion remains the same, I will gladly avoid this dealership at all costs! Worst of the 5 Subaru dealerships I have had interactions with, this is my 4th Subaru so I have had MANY dealings with dealerships in the past.

1. Car goes up for tires, inspection etc. sits there all day, never look at it till after hrs (someone stays late) then they don't have my tires, so Cars there for 3 days. No one ever picks up the phone tried 5 times in a day left a message. And they never called and let me knew it was done.2. Another car needing tires, I call and make sure they have the right ones. Say they do cars been sitting there for over a week waiting on tires since cords were showing didn't want to drive it. Since the tires they confirmed they had did not fit. And then 4 days after its done we have to call and ask if it's done since they once agian didn't let us know it was done.3. Car blew up under dealer warranty no big deal, they made it right. But kept having problems and hearing noises come from my motor. They tell me nothing is wrong with it have a guy test drive it that doesn't even know how to drive a manual car, wouldn't let me drive it and says he doesn't hear anything wrong with it.

Worst Service Dept. ever!They outright lied and charged for warranty work while they could not figure out a covered mechanical problem. During the 3rd attempt at a fix, I found and provided my copies of the warranty. They back peddled, stating they "lost" their copies in a computer issue. Then they tried to charge me for extra parts deemed unnecessary by their extended warranty company.All, after buying 2 new Subarus, exclusively serviced by Stocker, and being a customer for over a decade. The worst part is how they treated me after they were caught.In the end, my credit card company helped to obtain a refunded. Yet, a year later I still wonder why my request for the owner to call was ignored?

Awesome customer and technical service. Time and again, I am incredibly impressed with the professionalism, excellent communication and customer focus of the service team. When pulling my car into the heated service lobby routine service, I'm greeted with a good morning *by name.* This seems a small touch, but reflects the overall positive attitude of the entire team in the service department and at this dealership. I have overheard service greet other customers in this way as well. Apart from the customer service, the Stocker technical service is exceptional. The mechanics complete the work on schedule, or ahead, and the quality of their work is top notch. The service managers and staff pay attention to detail and truly care about your vehicle, offering good and trustworthy advice and guidance. The service advisor Jess knows how much I drive and takes the time to suggest maintenance routines when they are recommended. The service rates are very fair and the value tremendous, as I know I am getting genuine Subaru service and parts. This is my 9th Subaru in the 35 years I have been driving. Stocker is one of the best, if not the best, Subaru dealership I have encountered. My experience has been nothing but positive from purchase of our Outback to the last 60,000 mile service.

I have been using the Stocker Subaru service department to handle my Legacy s maintenance needs. The team at Stocker is always friendly and helpful. They always address any concerns I may have and carefully check over my vehicle during routine oil change visits to ensure my car keeps running smoothly. They point out the findings and explain cost and time for repairs and I have never felt as though there was any dishonesty. This group is thorough and it gives me a huge peace of mind. I also appreciate having Subaru parts and knowing the mechanic group has the expertise to work on my vehicle. The online scheduling is extremely convenient as well. I ve never purchased a car there, but when the time comes for my new Subaru, I ll be paying a visit to Stocker!

The salesman was pleasant to deal with and made it one of the more pleasant car buying experiences I've ever had. They gave us a good price for our trade-in as well as a nice price on the Subaru we bought. The small amount of service we've had was also a good experience. They even alerted us to an alignment issue (even though that wasn't what the service was for) and corrected it under warranty.

I feel very confident with their work on my Outback and they never scam my wife when she brings it in for service and inspections. And if the price is too steep, their managers do what they can to keep us coming back to them. Whatever they fix, it's never a recurring problem.

Laurie Voinchet did a great job of helping me get a recent trade in vehicle to use as my second vehicle. She got the vehicle inspected, cleaned and ready for me to test drive after work. She has always given me the answers I needed when car shopping and 100% great customer service. I've bought 3 new Outbacks from her- 2011, 2015, and a 2020. When she says she is going to do something for you, she follows through completely to provide great customer service. And the Subaru Service department has always provided great service to my vehicles as well!

Stocker Subaru really came through in the best way!!!I was on a 700+ mile trip, when my clutch on my WRX started slipping and lucky enough we found Stocker Subaru. I left my car at the service department while I finished my trip. Rob was super helpful, updated me along the way with my repairs, worked with me on timing with traveling to pick up my car. Overall great experience and if I had to, I would drive another 9hrs to give them my business. If your in the middle of PA on i-80 and you need a subaru dealer...go to Stocker Subaru.

Stocker Subaru is a great place to purchase a car. I was helped by Chris and he was great. They make the process easy and fast. So easy that this was our third car we have purchased from them. The service department is top notch as well. I always deal with Rob, he is the best. He keeps me updated on my car and they never try to sell me on items I do not need. It s not the typical car dealer that you hear stories about. I would and do recommend Stockers to everyone that is looking to buy a car.

Everything about this car buying experience went smoothly. Sam, our sales consultant, was patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. Everyone was very considerate about mask wearing, which was important to us because of a health concern. While the options were not expansive - no fault of the dealer because new cars are in short supply everywhere - we were able to find a car that was almost perfect for us. Even through it s a sellers market, Stocker came down a reasonable amount off sticker value. Overall, I was pleased by the experience and will be happy to have my car serviced there in the future.

From start to finish my experience with Stocker Subaru was exceptional. This is my third car purchase with Stocker and my second Subaru. I was having car issues and decided it was time to trade in. Cory and his team jumped in to get me the car I wanted and make the trade and service of my old car as smooth as possible. I can t say enough about the staff and their professionalism at Stocker Subaru. Garret and Logan on the sales team were knowledgeable and efficient. Luke with finance found me a car and kept it under my price point. And Gus and Rob with the service side helped get my old car in and set me up with a loaner car so I could still make it to work. Living and working away from State College I was able to do the majority of this trade and purchase over the phone which was super helpful. I appreciate all they did to make my experience quick and easy!

Rob is the best service advisor that I have ever had the pleasure of working with! Not only was he beyond honest with me about required services, but he also was very easy to talk to and beyond helpful when kt came to any knowledge about Subaru's. Overall, I definitely recommend. I went to Stocker Subaru to have my Forrester inspected. The agent I worked with was friendly and knowledgeable and I was checked in promptly. In the customer waiting room I found some bottled water and a snack since I hadn't had time to eat lunch. I settled in comfortably in the pleasant surroundings and in less than an hour my car was ready. I paid the bill, received my paperwork and left. The staff was great!
