My vehicle as well broke down on PA Turnpike and the Pa turnpike staff and State Farm road assistance workers were great. The tow truck driver as well help and recommended Blough's Automotive. Upon arrival to the shop they figure out the problem told me the cost and I was back on the road in a reasonable amount of time.I really appreciated it all. Somerset exit 110 Thanks

By far the best service I've ever had at a service center. I was traveling on the turnpike and ended up with a nail in the side wall of my tire. I was able to get the spare on and get to Blough's 5-10 min before they closed on a Friday. They were kind enough to stay open beyond their closing time to help me out and put a new tire on in about 10 min. They even packed my spare tire and repair kit back into my trunk for me. High quality service and very efficient, with great pricing. I would give them 10 out of 5 stars if I could. HIGHLY recommended!!! Thank you Blough's!Service: Tires

I guess I'm not the only one who broke down on the PA Turnpike!! LOL Well, Blough's Automotive to the rescue! I received fast and friendly, and most importantly, HONEST service! It wasn't as bad or expensive as I originally thought. Jason and Jake (their pet dog) replaced a burned out AC belt. They could've overcharged me, but they didn't!! Happy Holidays, Blough's guys!!!

We broke down on the Pa turnpike and had to get towed to a hotel. I was traveling with my mom and a dog so it was very stressful. I was amazed by the kindness and support they were very willing to assist in helping. They got us back on the road home to Cleveland. I am very thankful of your service. Excellent service. Immediately took our car after our windshield washer froze due to extreme cold. Let our dogs come inside so they could stay warm. Got us back on the road in 15 minutes. Thank you so much for the hospitality and excellent service. Highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this auto shop enough! Jason gave us a Christmas Miracle! We were driving to Pittsburgh from Virginia on Christmas Eve when it was below freezing. We thought our windshield wiper fluid was gone so we stopped at multiple places along the turnpike and everyone was out. We stopped at CVS in Somerset and luckily Jason was behind my husband in line. He told him that it was probably frozen so adding more fluid would not help he went out of his way to have us follow him to his shop and thawed out the fluid pipe! He literally saved us from being stuck on Christmas Eve! Jason reminded us that there are good people in this world! I wish we lived closer to use his shop for all of our auto needs! Everyone in the Somerset area should visit Jason when needed!

I had been taking my truck to a local backyard mechanic who kept seeming to charge me money and give me my truck back the same way. After googling for a mechanic in Somerset and seeing the ratings here, I decided to give it a shot. Bloughs was extremely professional, very well spoken, very informative and knowledgeable. So helpful and kind, prices were reasonable, timing was quick. They gained a return customer and I will be sending friends and family up for future repairs!! I was passing through Somerset on a road trip when my coolant light came on. I have a new VW and a quick google search led me to Blough s. They were so helpful and got me back on a road in a matter of minutes. From other interactions I observed in the shop, they are very customer focused and care about people.

On a road trip from DC to MI over Christmas, my car began to overheat. I called my home mechanic for an over th phone assessment and he had me find a local mechanic.Terrified from being a single woman traveling alone and a looming snowstorm, I had to find a mechanic quickly. I pulled into Blough s, and Mr Blough must have sensed my distress. He was patient and kind and immediately took a look at my car. He did a full assessment and came up with the same as my home mechanic. He literally saved my Christmas.if I could give 10 stars I would. I m a solo traveler and sometimes depend on the kindness of strangers today, that was Mr Blough

I was on a 7k trek across the United States when I heard this scary and horrible sound from my right rear tire while touring the SW corner of PA. I was 8 hours/+500 miles from home.I selected Blough's Auto from the many positive reviews that were posted on Google and they exceeded my expectations. I arrived early and they were able to take my car for test drive and diagnosis it quickly. It turns out that when I had my tires replaced at Costco in Houston 2 wks earlier, they had not tightened the lug nuts. This was a accident waiting to happen that could have been serious.While I was waiting in their clean and comfortable waiting area, a conversation started with a local gentleman who had been using Blough's for years, and he confirmed that they do quality work with high integrity...You can really trust them. I have to say this is my experience too. My only wish is that they were located closer to where I live so that I could always use them.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

When our car engine stopped on the turnpike far from home, we had to make quick decisions on next steps. Our tow driver highly recommended this shop, and insisted this was the best place in the area. We took his recommendation and were dropped off late at night. Our friends so kindly picked us up and we figured we'd call first thing in the morning to see what's going on. Not only did Blough's run diagnostics and take care of us on short notice, but they also worked with us for a Sunday pickup so we wouldn't have to make an extra trip to pick up our car. We highly recommend this shop, and are so appreciative of their attentiveness!

After having a stressful 4 1/2 hour trip on the Pa turnpike and my car having issues, I was brought to this shop and I couldn t be more grateful for it. I was by myself with an infant and a dog and these guys were more than accommodating and beyond nice. They made me feel more relaxed after having a complete mess of a day. I was able to get back on the road and finish my trip within minutes! So grateful for them, won t ever forget it!

Absolute best experience I've had with a mechanic! Our vehicle broke down on the turnpike and they quickly diagnosed the problem and worked with our warranty to give us an estimate. When we decided that the repair was cost prohibitive they were extremely helpful and good natured as we worked on getting the title released and scrapping it. I 10/10 would always recommend this place, the owners are stand up guys and they're really easy to get along with.

My water pump on my truck seized up on the turnpike driving from OH to NJ. I asked the tow truck driver which shop he recommended and he told me about Blough's. I had my truck dropped off and I continued on my way. I was originally uneasy with having to leave my truck in the hands of an unknown mechanic especially since my only contact with them would be over the phone. They were able to diagnose the problem, get the parts and make the repair all before I was due to head back to OH. Blough's made the whole process very easy, they were very informative when speaking with them over the phone and the quick turn around time was an added bonus. The price of the repair was very fair and actually cheaper than I was expecting. I would recommend Blough's to anyone, especially out of state drivers.

I wound up with a massive oil leak on the turnpike and wound up with 4 quarts gone! I had to have my car towed once I refilled and saw how much was coming out, so it wound up at Blough s. The gentleman on the phone was very professional and they got me back in action quickly, and much more affordably than I ever expected. Thank you for being honest and pleasant during one of the more difficult trips I ve experienced! It is much appreciated.

This review is 8 years overdue. I just happened to come across a reference to Blough's Automotive by chance and recalled my experience. My story starts similar to many stories here. My car broke down on PA turnpike. The engine blew up. Was towed to this place. It was past business hours. I spent the rest of the night sleeping in my car in the parking lot in front of the shop. I was welcomed very warmly in the morning. They even ordered and shared breakfast from McDonalds. The car was a toast. They called the closest rental and helped me to get going on my way. I sent them my car's title and even gotten $100 back. It was absolutely great experience.

I'm in the middle of returning from a road trip, I went massachusetts to illinois/Missouri border, got scared and headed back home. My brakes go as I got into Pennsylvania. Every dealership wanted an exorbitant amount of money. Bloughs was not only incredibly reasonable, they fit me in for the following morning even though they, like every other mechanic for miles around, was booked solid for a week plus. Bloughs got me on the road quickly, minimizing the out of work I missed. Thank you, Bloughs!Service: Brakes

On a long drive home, about an hour before we stopped for the night, my dash lights started to get really bright, then they would go back to normal. Seemed very odd. After texting my cousin, a mechanic, he said it was either the alternator, battery or a ground issue. He also said, I should get it checked out before we go any further. So, the next morning, New Year's Eve, I called Blough's. They said to bring it in. They received a bunch of really good reviews so I went for it. It's about 2 miles from town, but totally worth it. There was no wait, the waiting area was very clean and everyone was incredibly friendly. They checked out my car, ran some tests and gave me the all clear. They could have easily tried to hustle me into a new alternator or something, but they didn't. I couldn't be more satisfied.I would highly recommend.

After breaking down on the Turnpike on a Sunday afternoon, I got towed to Blough's Automotive for diagnosis and repair. I'm from Ohio, and I was traveling alone in a Lexus 450H. This was the kind of situation that you'd almost expect to be taken advantage of. Instead, I received prompt and fantastically professional service from Jason at Blough's Automotive. Jason was able to diagnose my car trouble quickly and accurately. He secured the parts necessary and got me back on the road within a few hours. The fee? ABSOLUTELY REASONABLE! Had I taken my car to my dealership, no doubt the repair would have cost me twice as much. GREAT JOB, efficient service, reasonable fees! Highly recommend!

The Bloughs team was great! I noticed a worsening noise/shaking from my front tire area as I drove on the PA Tpke. I went to them sight unseen, saw positive reviews. The reviews were accurate! The team was professional and quickly diagnosed an unsafe driving situation. They cost-effectively fixed it and even guided me to something else I needed to get replaced when I return home. I was driving from Indiana to Maryland and my steering wheel was shaking pretty bad. My husband called ahead to let them know I was coming. They were so friendly and made me feel at ease. They took it right away for a drive. The car needed 2 new front tires and they told me where to go to get them (same town just a few miles away) I can't express how great they were. It was just my toddler and I driving and they made an effort to talk with him and make sure the car was taken care of!!

absolutely amazing, my friend and i had car problems on out way from Philly to Colorado. We brought it in to them, within 2 hours of getting off the turnpike they had fixed the problem and for a good price. Being two young college girls knowing not much about cars we expected to get highballed but they were straight forward and honest right from the start. Id make them my go-to if i didnt live 5 hours away from them

Highly recommended based on the service we received in April. My wife and I were driving back from Pittsburgh to NY our two young daughters, when our car broke down. The engine didn't stop - it seemed to be jammed on full revs - the car was basically trying to go 70 mph all the time in which was very unnerving. We pulled over at a rest stop and calling the towing service who took us to Blough's. The last thing we wanted was to be stuck miles from home, with a huge bill and a broken car. They quickly looked at it, determined it was a problem with the cruise control being jammed on, which they fixed for a very reasonable price, and then sent us on our way. We were back on the road about 1 hour from when we'd 'broken down'. We are highly satisfied with the service and recommend Blough's to others.

Blough s just gave us our version of a Christmas miracle! We re traveling from Virginia to Wisconsin post Elliott blizzard two days before Christmas and our wiper dispenser stopped working. Who knew that these things could freeze! Less than an hour later, we re thawed out and back on the road! A huge shout out to the team at Blough s!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

My car broke down when I was driving in the turnpike and got towed to Blough's for diagnosis and repair. It turned out to be an engine failure and they were trying to do everything they can to help, even calling hyundai to ask for warranty, and waiting for me over an hour past their business hour to make sure I go home safely. Very friendly and professional, and their dog is the sweetest!

I had a wheel issue while passing through on the highway at night. They were incredibly accommodating and helpful. While I was weary of being taken advantage of because of the situation we were in, I was treated more than fairly for price, especially considering how quickly I was taken care of. I can t say enough good things about this place. I had to stay overnight in Somerset due to car trouble. They got me in right away as a walk in. I needed a pump for my washer fluid so I could continue to travel in the snow. They couldn t find one for me, so they went to a salvage yard to get one to help me out. Their prices were honest and fair. They were kind and very accommodating during my wait. I would recommend to anyone!!

Blew a radiator hose on the turnpike and had to get the vehicle towed to a local shop. Chose Bloughs Automotive at random. What a great choice! Super friendly. Fit us right in and didn't try to sell us more than we needed. Honest and friendly. What more could you ask for?
