Awesome experience, usually mechanics or any vehicle service situation can be very stressful. Firstly they are extremely refreshing to talk to, just super polite and respectful. Secondly they document everything that s wrong with the vehicle, and you have to approve every little thing that they do on your vehicle. Also very quick, definitely will be going here from now on, and will be recommending them to anyone that asks!

As always, the best service in the area. Years ago I was really in a fix, my reg mechanic had just had a stroke and my car had a major problem with the, excuse my description but, oil system thing and evidently it was quite serious. I couldn't drive the car. My nephew who was in auto sales at that time recommend Tom and John, at The Scranton Auto Service. It was the best advice I've ever received. Repaired the car quite reasonably and did a wonderful job. I've never used any other services but theirs since. Friendly honest service. You couldn't ask for a better fit. I've recommended them to my friends. Who by the way were all very happy. If you're in need of a fair hard working repair garage, it's right here....

We were traveling from Boston to Coburn and we stopped in Scranton to get some dinner quickly and as we pulled off the highway we noticed a grinding noise coming from the wheels. We noticed that the shop was close but it close to closing time. We talked to John who is the business manager and he was kind enough to stay open late to help us out and repair our car. They did excellent work and they did quickly. We were very impressed with the service and the friendly and quick manner of the service. Highly recommend!

I have been there a few times when my car was having problems, and everytime they have just amazing. They are super friendly, do things in a timely matter, and really good at communicating with their costumer. Definitely would recommend bringing your car by if you ever run into issues!

I am throughly impressed with level of care John and team has shown to my used vehicle. Though old and a lot of miles, i appreciate having someone trustworthy to inspect and assess any problems other shops couldn t fix. my car is now driving stable and i feel really good about bringing it to scranton auto service. highly recommend!!

John & Tom as well as the other mechanics provided me with a thorough evaluation along with pictures & detailed analysis of the issues found in my car. The estimate and services were accessible online and I could quickly see my quote and decide and on what services I wanted. Great customer service and honest assessment of the problem! I drove to 120 miles to Scranton for a business trip the week before Christmas. As I pulled off the highway my car began making a horrible noise. The next morning it was snowing and when I started my vehicle the belt ripped off and pulleys snapped.Tom and the guys at Scranton Auto were able to diagnose the issue, order parts, and fix my vehicle within 3 days. They were very friendly and professional, documenting everything they did.If I lived closer they would be my go to mechanic. They had me up and running with my vehicle before Christmas.

I would highly recommend everyone in the area go to Scranton Auto Service for their repairs and inspections. I recently had my check engine light come on in my car and I was able to get into the shop the same day I called, which prevented further damage to my engine. John and the crew provided exceptional service - he listened to my concerns and the quirks of my car and provided consistent updates about the evaluation of the problems and progress of repairs, including pictures and descriptions. John was communicative, friendly, honest, and returned my car to me running smoothly in time for winter. I will be back for my oil change in 5,000 miles!

I recently had my work van looked at for some issues with the back up sensors and two door handles/locks not operating correctly. Most garages won t take the time for these little tasks but Tom got me in and taken care of! What a relief having these simple things back to working order. Great, friendly, honest people here. Highly recommend!

John and his team delivered fantastic customer service, exceeding all expectations. I had to handle reviewing and authorizing repairs remotely and John went out of his way to ensure that all repairs were explained and formally documented. He even followed up to verify that we were satisfied with the work. I highly recommend this repair facility!

In all of my years of driving and breaking vehicles, I have never dealt with a shop like this. John and Tom were amazing. Scranton Auto Service is the best in the business. I had an issue with my car, they diagnosed it, sent me text messages with pictures of their progress and full explanations of the problems. That's great for someone like me, who can only do basic auto stuff (changing tires, oil, brakes, etc). I decided that the value of the car wasn't worth the costs of the repairs. Even though I didn't move forward with the repairs, they were still extremely nice, and offered to inspect any prospective cars that I was going to buy. They now have my business for as long as the shop is open. Their transparency and professionalism are unmatched. Are there cheaper shops in the area? Sure, but they're not SAS, and they wont go above and beyond, like these guys. Do yourselves a favor and use Scranton Auto Services for all your auto work. Tommy and his team operate with honesty and fairness. They've introduced new tools for an enhanced experience, albeit with additional costs. Despite this, they efficiently handle your needs and maintain clear communication.If your car needs a tuneup, give Scranton auto a chance to earn your business.

I've been looking for a local garage to bring my car to. Brought my car here for an inspection. And I can say I'll definitely be coming back when the time comes. Very friendly, and they did a great job. I highly recommend them.

After years of not finding a good mechanic in this area I finally found Scranton Auto Service. John was super friendly and transparent about what my car needed. They won't push repairs on you that aren't necessary but they will warn you about things that may be an issue in the future. I wish I would have found this place 10 years sooner. Service is top notch!

My son broke down on the way back to school and after phone calls to different garages and dealerships, all of which had not time to address and emergency situation, Tom and Scranton Auto went out of their way to help us in an emergency situation. They were clear with the diagnosis of the problem, provided a fair price and communicated with me throughout the process. In an emergency situation of sorts, Tom and Scranton Auto came through - much appreciated!

Once again, truly satisfied with the work. They fit me in the schedule very quickly considering my need and the inspection never takes too long here. I also always know what to look for as far as keeping up car maintenance because this auto business does not give you unneeded suggestions like some others do. They tell you what you may need, when you may need it, and do not force the next sale upon you immediately. Excellent work done quickly. The digital inspection is also a great touch. They keep you up to date with repairs and check up on you a few days after the work is done to make sure things are still ok. It is hard to find an honest mechanic. I have known Tom, the owner, for several years. He is very honest and straight forward. They even take pics of problems so you can see the issue. We had new struts and new transmission lines put on since another mechanic had used gas lines instead of transmission lines on my daughters car! I have peace of mind my daughters car was fixed right. Use Toms Scranton auto service if you are sick of trying to find a good, honest mechanic! Back in 2019 I was pregnant, I was traveling from Florida back to Massachusetts. Unfortunately my Jeep over heated and broke down on the highway in the middle of the night. This shop was not even 3 minutes from us. Early in the morning I met the owner Tom and we explained our situation. He made my car a priority first to fix my water pump. I m super thankful. He s the reason why we made it home safe. This shop values their customers, I was 100% satisfied! Great service! Very professional! Respectful! Highly recommend this place!

Super nice guys here. I've taken two cars to this place and never have had an issue. Bought tires and a week later got a nail in one. They fixed it for me. They could have charged me, but they saved me a few bucks, and that was awesome. Prices seemed far for the quality of work. John was cool to talk with and made the time fly by. Highly recommend.

This place is a gem. An asset to the community. Tom and John are very professional and friendly. They know their stuff. I brought my Honda Element for a simple tire swap. Out with the winter, in with the all seasons. They discovered that the exhaust flanges were rotted. They sent me pictures and yes they were bad. I gave the ok to replace them and they did the job the same day! What's even better, is that my place of work is not far. So, it's very convenient to drop it off and pick the car later. The price was very reasonable. I looked underneath and they did a great job.So, don't hesitate and let them service your vehicle. John and Tom are absolutely wonderful!! I would highly recommend Scranton Auto and have referred friends to them. They are very trustworthy, knowledgable, fair with pricing, professional, and provide detailed estimates that you can view on your phone. John provides excellent communication throughout the service including post-visit follow up. My family and I use them for general maintenance and troubleshooting issues with our Jeeps.

Bring your car to someone you trust! I had lived in the area for many years and had to move to MA for job. But I always go to this place for car service whenever I'm in town. Knowledgeable, great quality of work, always friendly and pricing is very reasonable!
