I ve been bringing my vehicles here for about 10 years now. I ve never had a bad experience. If you re looking for someone knowledgeable, prompt and that cares about your vehicle, I d seriously recommend giving Ian a call.

Ian did an excellent job fixing my 1979 VW Beetle. He is a perfectionist and very good at what he does. The previous car owner took a lot of short cuts and did some shady work on the car. Ian fixed it all and I am very happy that she is back on the road. Awesome job.

Great quality of service, friendly staff, and perfect fender roll. I uses to stick out about half an inch, now I'm perfectly just behind my fender with a even quality fender roll and pull.

Driving from Ontario, Canada, to Dover, Delaware, our 1978 VW Westy took an unexpected rest and needed some TLC to get her back on the road. We found Ian's Speed Shop and brought her in. The customer service and knowledge of our vintage VW made us comfortable and confident in the service. During our visit, there were happy customers coming in to pick up their cars or to ask advice. We talked about how to keep our Westy happy on the road and planned for more maintenance when we get home. Ian himself was so reassuring and helpful. THANK YOU for getting us back on the road and then home again!

This is the best shop I have ever been to. It started with great service on basic oil changes (2015 Mazda 3 GT). Ian and Jo really care about what goes into your car, and I like going to a place where I know and trust the mechanics.When I decided to buy a weekend track toy, Ian helped me find the right car. After we located a candidate on Craigslist, I got the owner to bring it by Ian's shop. For a reasonable fee, Ian drove the car, put it on the lift, gave it a thorough inspection, then helped me negotiate a better deal. (Ian later said if I hadn't bought the car, he would have.)Now we're in the process of turning my BMW (e36is) into the track weapon we know it wants to be. We made the list of upgrades before I even bought the car, and this is where the Speed Shop component really comes in handy. For example, Ian is fabricating the roll bar himself. That way he can jack it into place before welding and increase the stiffness of the car at the same time.Whether basic maintenance or performance upgrades, I prefer a shop that understands cars well enough to do it all. I feel lucky to have found Ian's Speed Shop.

Was almost stranded in Scranton on a Sunday when they opened their shop and took my car in when they were supposed to be closed, just so I could make it back to Canada. Really great work at an awesome price. They knew a lot about my car, showed me everything that was wrong with it (including things I didn't know) and did the repair pretty quickly. Great group of people working there 10 / 10. Probably the best mechanic I've ever been to. If I am in the area would most definitely use again.

I bought my 2013 Subaru Legacy over a year ago, and it has vibrated on the highway since purchase. TWO Dealerships and a different private mechanic could not solve this issue. It was IAN'S SPEED SHOP that properly diagnosed and took care of these issues. Ian - your professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail is UNMATCHED. I was riding on octagon rims because of how bent they were, and they had to be sent out to a separate repair company which resulted in a longer wait time. It was MORE than worth the wait for my car to ride the way it was supposed to when I drove it from the dealership. I was returning home from a long trip and I broke down in Scranton. After being turned away from numerous repair shops due to my Husband's Jeep Grand Cherokee being supercharged, I was received very warmly by this shop and their staff!! I was stranded with a baby and they went above and beyond in not only caring for the car but to make sure I was cared for. Exceptional service and kind people!!! I would HIGHLY recommend their services to anyone in the area!!

Had work done on my 2004 grand cherokee 4.7 valve cover gaskets. They did a great job very clean install . I've been very happy.. And will def call them again.

Ian has provided me with almost 15 years of consistent high quality automotive service and a place like this is worth its weight in gold. Great for routine maintenance as well as modications & tuning for both import and domestic vehicles.

I called Ian at the shop 30 minutes before he closed. I informed him of my problem and that I am traveling. Without hesitation Ian told me to come down, knowing it would be at least 45 minutes before I could be there. Ian spent approximately 3 hrs fixing my issue that could not be fixed on the side if the road. My problem was fixed perfectly. Normally in these circumstances people take advantage of you. Ian did No such thing. Good man , good work. Thank you !!

Car sat there for 3 months and he didn't even look at it. Took it to another trans guy and had it fixed for $200. Ian quoted $1500 because it is an Audi. Car runs great now no thanks to this shop.
