Always a joy to get service here each time. Even when you have new members they still make up a great team. Management has set a make on the experience they want you to have. And they always go the extra mile of listing any future issues that may need work. Schaefer Auto is like a hospital for cars. Love the place.

Stellar! Friendly, trustworthy, reliable, and very good at explaining car things. I honestly waited until several visits to write this review because I couldn't believe I'd finally found an auto center I actually trust. But Schafer's is great!I've come in a few times for regular check-ins and a couple of times for an overheated engine. Each time the front desk was approachable and helped me get where I needed. I've never had any complaints with them. Which, trust me, I know is a ridiculous thing to say for any group around cars. 10/10 would recommend!

We did not have our vehicle maintenance here. I m sure this place is reputable. The only problem I had was we brought our 2007 Subaru that had hit a pothole. The left front tire was turned inward horribly. The response we got along with pictures was $6500 worth three times the value of the car. They gone over the car with tooth and comb which is fine but the final estimate for just fixing the front end was $2500 without doing a comparison I knew right away that estimate was way high for us not budget friendly I thought they could ve offered a solution to get us back on the road.

I ve lived in the neighborhood for a few years now and struggled finding a reliable, trustworthy auto shop. After taking my car here this week, I won t go anywhere else in SP and will recommend to my family and friends. They were beyond helpful and even able to fit me in without an appointment. Steven made sure to explain what everything meant and took the time to answer all of my questions. They even took the liberty of pre-scheduling my yearly inspection for next year. Can t say enough great things! 10/10 recommend

This place has friendly staff members, but obscene pricing.They quoted me over 2K for a tune up and a coil replacement. Should be between like 500-900 for that. They also charge $160 just to diagnose your car when a lot of other garages will do that for free.It seems like they re trying to profit off of people in the city who don t know how much auto care should cost. Don t waste your time and money here.

Really nice people, but I had a very poor experience here. I brought my car in last summer for an emissions issue; they assessed the car and charged me close to 200 dollars for an assessment. They told me I needed at least a few tthousands of dollars of work on the car for it to be able to function, and probably would need to spend even more as they started to fix the issues.Because I could not afford this much money, I had the car assessed and worked on by another mechanic for just a few hundred dollars. The car has driven without issue and passed inspection. Since that time, I have frequently received advertisement texts and emails asking to bring my car in for a check-up, or an oil change, or some other assessment.So, to summarize:1. Very nice people2. Had me pay for an assessment without addressing/fixing the issue my car was having3. Told me I d need to spend thousands on an issue that was resolved for significantly less money

Have been taking my car here for ~4 years now. They re super responsive, quick to get you in when needed, and the best people. Came for inspection sticker on my year old car. They were done in a hour and no issues identified. There are windows overlooking the work area from the waiting area. Couches, tables and WiFi in the waiting area so I could work while I waited.

Of all the cars I ve had and shops I ve gone to, I ve never been treated so kindly and respectfully! As a woman who knows nothing about cars, it is difficult to find decent, trustworthy service and the staff at Schafer s is amazing. They gave me a thorough understanding of the issues and repairs, consistently checked in during and AFTER the work they did and gave me confidence in their work. I will never go anywhere else.

My Tesla was able to be inspected for Pennsylvania.. That was a great help for me!!The waiting room was so nice.. comfortable with television and magazines!! This was my second time to have my car serviced and inspected I would definitely recommend going here!!

I have been a customer of Schafer s since 2008 and can always count on Michael and the crew for efficient, thorough service. They accommodate any last minute requests I have while the car is in the shop (for inspection, for instance) and have kept my cars running well without any major issues! My VW Beetle was still running well when I sold it at 10 years old and my Mazda is entering its 12th year! Pretty good testaments tp excellent service!

Always a good experience no matter why the appointment! Great communication and clear documentation throughout the appointment. Careful attention to detail. Always confirm by phone your authorization for repairs, costs, etc. Great staff - always professional and super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!!

Schafer s has taken care of my car for years and I can t speak highly enough about them! My family does yearly cross country trips and the folks here have kept us traveling to all our favorite places. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful! I felt respected and very well taken care of, they explained everything to me and I never felt pressured into an upset. The comprehensive report they provide is the best I have ever gotten! Plus they washed my car!! Incredible experience I cannot recommend enough

I rarely write reviews, but felt Schafer's deserved one after my experiences with them.My car had it's catalytic converter stolen, and after the dealerships / other OEM part shops told me it could take anywhere from 3 - 12 months to get the part, I looked around and eventually came to Schafer's. They took my car in, and had a new aftermarket catalytic converter installed within 2 days.However, within a month or so, I started to get a check engine light, and the car just wasn't feeling right when driving. After taking it to my normal mechanic near my home, they told me the check engine code was related the catalytic converter, and it likely needed replacing.I called Schafer's about it, since they had done the original work, and without any hesitation they invited me to bring it back in. They determined the catalytic converter they installed had failed, and they installed a new one at no charge, standing behind their work. This work was also done within 2 days.I'm appreciative of their customer service and their attitudes through the process, as I'm sure there are other shops that would not have stood behind the work in the same way.Highly recommended if you find yourself with a stolen cat and need to get back on the road.

I m so grateful to Schafer s for coming through when I needed them in a pinch. My car broke down nearby and I felt so much better after talking to Jen on the phone, where she explained what the possible issues might be, and that it seemed like a quick fix. I got my car to them by 4pm and it was done by 8:30am the next day. I didn t have to chase them down like other shops, and all the staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. The shop itself was clean and organized. I won t hesitate to visit them again!

I recently had my first experience at Schafer's and it won't be my last. I was very impressed with both the customer service and the quality of the repair itself. Unfortunately this was the second time my catalytic converter was stolen, and the first time a different garage returned the car with a rattling exhaust system. After Schafer's repair, the car was much quieter again. Also, this time the insurance adjuster was very challenging to reach, and Schafer's persisted in pursuing answers and in regularly communicating with me. I couldn't have asked for more helpful service. I was happy enough with my current mechanic (who recommended Schafer's for this particular job), but Schafer's had earned my business from here on out. I ve been here multiple times and some times the work was good and sometimes I needed to bring my car back for a redo and the work was shotty I guess it depends on which mechanic fixes your car. Either way it was always more than expected.

I took my truck here for 2 years at first there service was great and there prices were reasonable but the last time i took my truck to get fixed I felt like I got lied and scammed. My last inspection cost close to 5000 dollars and the time after that was about 3000 dollars where I was told they were going to fix my headlight bulbs for free but never put them in. The most recent time I took my truck there and the last time I will ever use there service my battery light was on and my abs light was on which I was charged 300 hundreds for tests to find out the problem they told me it could be the belt not turning the alternator fast enough or it could be the alternator. They fixed the belt and abs sensor that day cost me 1600 but over the weekend when I had my truck my brake light came on and abs light came on again still driving my car the whole weekend with the battery light on and abs light on Monday when I called was told I needed a alternator which would be 900 more. I finally got fed up and bought a new vehicle but was left feeling lied to and scammed by the service people in scaffers auto. If you do use there service be very cautious of what there doing and don't trust them like I did.Service: Electrical repair

The team at Schafer's is wonderful! They are very communicative and call/text me if they find additional issues with my car. I love how they automatically schedule my inspection appointment each year so I never have to worry about missing it.
