Joe, the Service Manager and his staff are good reasons for being able to feel safe driving your car.Jennifer, the receptionist is ready to help you as soon as you walk through the door. John s Auto-motive Repair definitely deserves a 5 star review just alone for the trust and comfort you feel putting your life in their hands.

I went to this shop because I was having a major issue with my van. They had never seen me as a customer before. They were able to take me next day. They kept me informed the whole way of what was going on. They were proffesional, kind and courteous.They even offer rides to and from appt if you re in a jam. The place was sparkling clean as well.I was very impressed with service and with how I was treated. I will be back.Thank you!

I ve been coming to Johns for my annual inspections my entire driving life. Seriously, Johns was my Dad s go-to place for state inspections and hard to complete repairs. Naturally I ended up there and have never had a reason to change.I like to (try to) do my own repairs and my father is very handy as well. John knows this fact and will always stop to ask before doing any required work he discovers during inspection. I ve driven some older cars, think 200k+ mileage, and when we weren t comfortable tackling a project, we knew we were in good hands. Again, if he discovered an issue, he d quickly bring it to our attention and also be honest on whether it would be cheaper to do it ourselves.The bottom line is John is trustworthy, a hard-to-find but necessary trait in this business. I strongly recommend him to everyone I know and the google community!

I have been a customer at Johns for over two years now and I am very happy with the service that I get. John s is constantly accommodating to their customers and they explain things to me which, I know absolutely nothing about vehicles yet they still make sure I understand instead of just charging me for this and that. The prices are so good that my boyfriend didn t believe me and he insisted that the price was probably just for one of the services I listed, however he was wrong! I recommend Johns to everyone.I wanted to update my review to add that I am still a customer at Johns, and I am still extremely happy!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Auto emissions testing, Vehicle safety inspection, Wiper blade installation, Oil change

This was my first time there, and I have decided that I need not go anywhere else for my automotive repairs. Joe was kind and explained everything being done, and my car was finished 1 day early. Joe arranged for me to be dropped off at my apartment, and I didn't have to call an Uber as well as being picked up when my car was finished. The best repair place in Philly. I finally found my repair shop for life.

My in-laws have been coming to John s for over 20 years, my son has been going here for a few years and they all have been happy with their work. I tried to get a PA inspection where I usually go and they were unable to do it this time because they didn t have a PA inspection qualified mechanic and couldn t get anyone to apply for the job. So even though John s isn t close, I decided to go there for inspection. Jennifer was very friendly and helpful on the phone when I called for the appointment and when I went into the office. Joe worked on my car and I was impressed that he recognized that I do a lot of work on my 10 year old car myself. He did a brake job, tire rotation and oil change for me. I m happy with the work he did and it was for a fair price. I will be back in the future and I do recommend the shop.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

After my mechanic of almost 30 years retired, it left me with the daunting task of finding a new mechanic. We all know how hard it is to find a mechanic that we can trust. I do believe that I hit the jackpot with this place. After checking review after review, I decided to give John's a try. It was the best move I could have made. I have been using them since February of 2018 and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I made the right decision. They do great work and it is always in a timely manner. They are honest and their prices are more than reasonable. Joe the service manager and Jennifer the receptionist are both easy to deal with. Don't hesitate to use them for all of your car repairs. You won't be sorry. They deserve a 10 star review but it only goes to 5 so 5 it is.

It's a great feeling to know that I have finally found a honest, reliable, fair priced shop, with a hard working team. John treated me with upmost respect, & was timely on the service. He kept me informed throughout the process. I will not be taking my vehicles anywhere else but here from now on. I decided to post this review to show my appreciation to the people over at Johns. I implore anyone who reads this to use this automotive shop, I guarantee that you will be pleased. I challenge to post a review of the service they receive here. I have a one of a kind Mercedes Benz sports car older but lower miles driven nicely was not running bc sat on & off. Including a dealership 3 big auto shop let it go saying not worth, too complicated. All excuses under the sky.Towed to John's.Got answer 2nd day what is needed & very reasonable.3rd day was fixed 4th day inspected keys in my hands to drive it off.NEVER IN MY 12 CAR FLEET OF CARS IN LIFE, I HAD SUCH A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE.THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. JOE & JUSTIN WERE TERRIFIC.

Hired them to inspect a car I intended to purchase:I am fairly knowledgeable about cars but wanted the additional comfort of a professional ASE-certified mechanic to confirm (or counter) my initial review. It was easy to make an appointment and they took me right on time. They performed a thorough inspection and gave me a good, knowledgeable assessment of the car. They answered all my questions competently and generally provided me with all the information I needed to proceed with the sale.Their customer service was excellent - going beyond the required work and added an additional test at no extra charge.They have a new, convenient and clean area to wait in while your car is being worked on.I had a very easy and excellent experience with this professional shop. I recommend you use them.

I recently took a Lincoln Navigator to John s for a pre purchase inspection. I had a 10:00 appointment and they took me right when I got there . They were very professional and you just got that feeling you were in good hands . Honestly the thing that impressed me the most was the relationship I observed that they have with their regular customers . I m from out of state, so unfortunately I will not be a regular customer. I witnessed them ask people if they needed a ride any where why they wait , if they needed some one to pick up their car from their house for them and just all around Great customer service. I wish they were closer to me so I could go there if I needed work done to my vehicles . I would strongly recommend this auto shop from my short experience here .

I was very happy with my experience here. My car starter was dying on me and I needed to get to a mechanic ASAP. I found out about this place through Google. As a woman, I am very wary when it comes to mechanics, but I figured I'd give them a chance. I do not regret my experience at all! I was able to bring in my car that day and they even fixed a problem that I didn't know I had. The staff were very friendly and Joe was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend that you give this place a try. =)

I needed alot of diagnostics on strange issues my car was having. The price was very reasonable and he figured out every issue my vehicle was having. He provided very clear notes on everything. I have been using John's for over 8 years now and they have never failed. They have made sure I am always contacted for any issue and always try to give you the better option. To me, I feel that I am getting the best quality for what is paid. I recommend John's to anyone.

If You Want Your Car Fixed?Then Your At The Right Place!They Put Their Heart & Soul Into Their Job!I Would Recommend This Place To Everyone!Rating 5 My husband took his truck to a Different place, because we didn't know about this place?The other place had his truck for Months.Nobody couldn't find out what was wrong with it?So I said.. PLEASE take it to someone who knows what they are doing!?So he took it to Johns Automotive.OMG.. THEY found out what was wrong with it after ONE DAY!!It was something with the computer in the truck.So they ordered it and FIXED IT IN less than 3 DAYS!!!My husband was so Freaking Happy that Words can't Explain it.Thank you All for Getting His Truck Fixed and Running Great! 5

OMG! Absolutely the best customer service on the planet! These guys took care of me on an out-of-the-blue dead battery and totally understood my sense of panic and treated me like I was family! Okay. Took my car there for the first time for inspection. Heard nothing but great things, and the staff was very welcoming. Couldn t have been any nicer. Inspection was good, and gave me info on my car. Definitely found a go to mechanic for all my cars needs.

I must preface this review by saying that I am not a shill and have no affiliation with any auto repair shop. John's is one of just two legendary repair joints in all of Northeast Philly that has such integrity and ability that they do not have to advertise. Word of mouth is all that is needed. When my family members come here, John's always tells it like it is and charges a fair price. My only b*tch is that they are always busy due to their phenomenal reputation, so we have to wait a day or two longer than the chains or other competitors to get our cars back. But of course we always save hundreds so the wait is well worth it. Don't expect John's to drop everything to fix your car like the less honest shops will do so they can gouge you for fraudulent repairs. If you want extreme honesty and competence, you will have to wait. And John's is a small shop so you might have to wait a few hours for an unusual part to be delivered, but so what? While you are waiting, you can eat at one the nearby restaurants, shop in the strip mall mere yards away, or even go to church. As proof of my praise, note that John's was rated five stars by each of all 11 reviewers on Y*lp.

After using many different shops I ve been using this shop for a little over a year now and they re the best in the business. I wouldn t trust my car anywhere else. The customer service is just as great as the work they put into my car. Highly recommend!

If you re looking for a place to take your car, you have found the right place. John and Joe worked hard and quickly to get my vechicle up and running, and took care of every single concern I had. I didn t even realize how badly my car was running until they took it in and worked their magic. My car went from stuttering and barely moving to running like a dream. You absolutely will not be disappointed by going to these guys. Thanks so much

I came into John s after searching for a reliable mechanic I was quoted between 500-800 at other places. John began to inspect my car and found out the real problem ( other shops couldn t find out what was wrong, guessed and quoted me on services based on a guess) John saved me over $500!!! I highly recommend and will definitely be back for my next car problem. Thanks again for the great hospitality!

This place is the best. Reasonable prices, great work. They give suggestions for saving money and the quality of work is excellent. John and Joe and his staff are all truly very professional, fair and kind. Bottom line: they do the job right! I recommend that you check this place out if you're looking for an auto body shop to work on your vehicle. Would definitely recommend them.

Could not ask for better service!! Joe was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to help me and took excellent care of my girl "the Jag". They are just all around great people. Would highly recommend them for their expertise and for their great people skills!!!
