I chose to take my car to this repair shop based on their positive Google reviews, and I was not disappointed. From my first call, this shop was very professional, kind and helpful with efficient communication and clearly set expectations. My car was towed in from another shop which couldn't get the job done, and JB was able to get me back and running in a few days time. I liked that they sent me a quote via text where I could follow a link and see the details of my service needs, and even pay my deposit online. Again, great service, great/consistent communication and I feel they did a good job at replacing the alternator in my Infiniti G37. Would recommend and would return if repair needs arise.Services: Auto battery replacement, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

Easy Transaction. Highly Recommend JB Motors to anyone who needs auto service A+. JB Motor's customer service is amazing, the workers there are all kind. They also have online services that can remind you of your appointment date, send quotes, and make payments all online. The only thing is online payments and credit cards have a 3% fee.

I discovered J&B motorworks after having a poor experience at another shop I was giving a chance. I am so happy that previous shop was terrible because it gave me the chance to try J&B motorworks. What a difference!! Kevin and the staff are simply awesome. They are next level in every possible way. My vehicle was repaired professionally, promptly, and at a very reasonable price. The previous shop wanted to replace my engine!! I knew what the problem was the whole time. Even though J&B is clear across Philly from me, they are now my goto shop. Their business model is absolutely outstanding!!

They are quite expensive. Used to go here years ago for my personal cars, family cars and work trucks. Now they just seem to always charge way more, and always want to make me fix things I don't want to. On top of that I have my workers go pick up a truck today, and they did nothing but give him an attitude.

I never leave reviews but I just had to for Jb motors because their work is phenomenal. I ve been a customer of theirs for about almost 4 years. I ve never had a bad experience. They are very honest people, fast workers, and excellent service Melanie and Kevin are the best as well as Bruce and John. My very First car was horrible. Ha ha. I took it somewhere to get a oil change and somehow, when I left the lot, it was so much damage done to my car. One day scrolling on Google. I decided to give Jb motors a shot. I am a woman who knows nothing about cars I spoke to Kevin in Melanie I had about 1000 questions ha ha but they answered them all never getting frustrated with me always patient and very polite. Any answers they did not know they would find out and return my calls within minutes. Bruce and John are also great mechanics. Very polite and honest when I broke down one time after work, they met me where I was to see why I was stuck and drove my car back so that I could get home. I don t know if my car. Would have for two years if it wasn t for them. Someone really sold me. A bad car. But, Jb motors fixed all they could so I could get around. The prices are reasonable they are not pushy mechanics. They will tell you what you need done, give you recommendations. Check on you from time to time. I now have a new car. I still go to JB motors for everything oils change s anything related to a car you name it. They are the best. Kevin, Melanie, Bruce John thanks for everything. If you need anything done to your car please go to JB motors it will be the best decision you ever made for your car.- Felicia

I've been coming here since i got a honda Accord. They have been doing a great job with my car so far. I bought tein flex coilovers, and they did an amazing job with adjusting my springs as close to oem as possible.

JB Motor Works may be hard to find at first, but this place is a hidden gem! The staff are friendly and helpful. Before they did any repairs, they showed me what was wrong with the car and explained what my options were. I didn't feel pressured to get everything done all at once as they informed me what services can be done at a later time. Super convenient that if you cannot get to the phone right away they will leave an email or text message for you. Highly recommend to call in and make an appointment as they tend to get busy!

John and the crew over at JB Motor Works are the most professional place of business in the area! Top notch communication and customer service I have come across. It s really hard to find someone you can trust and rely on especially doing work to the car that gets you to work. Definitely recommend to visit JB Motors for anything you need done on your car, they even do tint!! Thank you John and crew!!!

I'm not a big fan of most mechanics. With that being said I am happy with the service that I have received from JB Motor Works. I suggest them to anyone who asks me. The first time I had to utilize them was after a tow. FYI: The tow truck driver knew exactly who I was talking about when I was giving him the address. He had nothing but good things to say. So did theUber driver when I went over to pick up my car.From my experience, they are honest, knowledgeable and fast.They also work with quality parts. They take customers seriously and are pleasant to deal with. They sent me videos of my issue directly to my phone. Whether you want to fix it or not, it's up to you. They discovered my engine sparking and some leaking hoses. They called and provided me options with different ranges in pricing.I also went to them for car inspection.I've had friends do custom jobs PB Motor Works for installations and installations with parts that they've brought them and they did the job well.*Why?I am am writing this because I have dealt with crooks and dishonest mechanics in Philly and have put my trust in them to be disappointed. From well known Major chain companies that begin with the letters 'PB' and 'M' to online technicians that come to you 'YM'. BTW one such mechanic called me to ask me to loan him $250 until payday. I hope to keep encouraging good service through appreciation.Cons:I wish that they did transmission work because I know that they would do a good job perhaps soon.ConclusionI will visit again in the future and hope that this might lessen the worry of anyone looking for a good mechanic but does not have to be damaged twice.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair

I've been coming to JB Motorworks for over 2 years and have always leave satisfied with the service. I had the pleasure to meet the mechanics who are working on my car and gain tremendous support from their management. JB provides the best service that I will not see in most auto shops. I appreciate their flexibility and their willingness to walk you through step by step on what needs to be done. Especially as a person who has zero knowledge of car repair, I appreciate that JB staff can explain the breakdown of the parts and what it does for the car. I highly recommend for you to check in with JB and they will gladly assist you and will always give you their most honest and professional opinion as far as what services is needed and most of all pricing.Services: Transmission, Exhaust, Tires, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Car waxing, Oil change

I love this shop and all the mechanics they're! This shop and the mechanics are very professional. They respond quickly, and get the job done in a very timely manner. Very reasonable price. I recommend them to every and any body I interact with that has any car issues. My top mechanic I recommend the most is John his knowledgeable about all cars and is an awesome person.

I'm really grateful that I found JB Motor. This is my first and only mechanic in Philly after going to a family friend mechanic exclusively all my life. I go to them for all general maintenance + major issues with my used 2012 honda civic. I trust the work they do is going to be thorough and the prices are always fair (everything is itemized and clearly laid out for me in writing before I consent to the work being done). One of the mechanics always comes out and talks to me directly about what work needs to be done, how and why. But I also don't feel pressured to do it all at once if/when I can't. There's no double talk/fast talking. The shop is also conveniently located on the trolley line so that I can get to and from if I need to leave my vehicle. Very professional, efficient and kind!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

These guys are great mechanics. When I took my car to them I had all kinds of problems with it to the point it would not run, all kinds of "check engine" lights on. They found the problem and had it running good. That was my first visit and I have been back three other times for them to repair other things on that car and my other vehicle. As well as tinting my windows. Like I started this with, These guys are great. John and Bruce are professional and give great service and are a great asset to the community. The prices are good too. Give them a try.UPDATE:I went back to Motor works with a problem with my radiator. And while it was probably a problem any other shop wouldn't have tried to fix, these guys went above and beyond for me. From getting the hard to find parts to trying to keep the price down for me, Bruce did a great job. All the mechanics there do. And if it's something they can't do or fix, they will tell you that too and where you might be able to get it fixed. Even the receptionist give good service. But if your close to them give them a play. Even if your not close check them out. JB Motorworks is the best in this business. I say best because they re very professional, they re quick, they give you updates about your car, and they break down what the problem is and what their next steps will be. I ve had the pleasure of getting my car serviced and I can t say it enough, the service is A1. I will be going back if I have any other issues with my other cars. Bruce and John work on customer cars as if it were their own car. My advice would be to always call and make an appointment ahead of time as it will be efficient for your time and theirs.

My wife and I had an excellent experience here. High quality and trustworthy. JB motoworks took care of spark plugs, oil change, transmission fluid changed, and an assessment of the brakes. We will be returning!

Recently my car broke down and it got towed to an auto shop. They charged me a ridiculous price and couldn't even tell me what was wrong! At the end I decided to pay extra towing fees and rather bring the car to JB motor works. I gotta say I was so glad I decided to come to them. They told me exactly what was wrong and gave me suggestions. They fixed my car for a very reasonable price. It was my first time and I trust these guys! They are very passionate and knowledgeable about cars and don't hide things from customers or cheat on them like the previous shop I went to. I'm so glad I found them through a referral. John and Bruce are really cool guys. It was not only quality, but quick service too! I needed my car asap and they fixed it the day I towed the car there from the previous shop. I highly recommend them. The lobby is pretty nice too. The working area and parking lot are pretty big and spacious. Definitely a great experience!

I found this mechanic on IG and was impressed by their transparency in the work they did. I have a Honda and know they can be good cars if they are maintained. They performed a diagnostic and found out why my check engine light was on, inspection and replaced my back lights. They are quick, efficient and kind people. These guys are the best at what they do. They're honest and will tell you upfront what repairs are immediately necessary and which ones can wait on the back burner. They will also honestly suggest when a repair is just not worth it because instead of a "more repairs is more profit" mentality, they would rather not see their customers potentially waste money into a vehicle or repair that will not be worth it.

I can't recommend this place enough! I recently purchased a 2008 Honda Fit manual transmission. I took it to JB Motor Works because of the glowing reviews and wasn't disappointed. I had the car checked over and all fluids changed. It needed front brakes and I had a valve adjustment done because it was due to have one around 100,000 miles. I later went back to get a wheel bearing replaced. Bruce the mechanic has taken his time to explain what they did for the car, how things work, answer any questions I have. Prices are reasonable and I don't feel like they are trying to sell me stuff I don't need. Job is done in a timely & professional manner. I would like to drive this car for another 100k miles and feel confident that JB Motor Works will help me keep in running in great condition.Services: Auto engine tuning, Brakes, Oil change

HONEST MECHANICS, very hard to find trustworthy people to work on cars. My mechanic, Ken, retired. He strongly recommended JB MOTOR WORKS. They are honest, fair, and reasonably priced. I take ALL my cars there, and I live in Roxborough. They fix things RIGHT, the FIRST time. Can I give them TEN STARS?

John was recommend to me by a friend and I am so glad he was! Being from out of area (and a girl!), I struggled finding a mechanic I trusted wasn t ripping me off in Philly. John was honest, professional, and very timely with his work, all for a very reasonable price. He even took me out to my car and showed me what was wrong/ explained it to me in an informative, yet concise way that was easy to understand. I will definitely be giving him my business in the future and would highly recommend JB motor works!

I've been to many shops around philly but JB motor works is hands down one of the best. They took care of my car and fixed all the issues that were caused by the other shop that I used to go to. They are very professional, honest and fair. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family. Before John serviced my car, he did a run down on my car and told me what needed to be fixed and make sure I was comfortable with it. I was very impressed.

Friendly, honest and quick service!I noticed a deep crack on my serpentine belt and went to JB Motor Works to get it checked out. One of the owners, John, was able to help me look at the car. He is very experienced and informative. He was able to replace the belt and also assisted me with other issues I had with my car. Since I had issues with other auto shops in the past, I was so relieved I finally found a place I can trust. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.
