We ve been bringing both our cars here for a few years since we moved to the neighborhood and recommend it to everyone. Prices are reasonable but the service is why we are willing to to pay a little more than previous places that we tried and had awful results.The employees are upfront about everything and take care of issues quickly. They ll call you once they diagnose any issues to get the OK on repairs. Staff is friendly and extremely competent.

I have taken my car there multiple times and have spent over $2,500 in total there. I never had a complaint about the work or prices so I figured now that I'm in need of more repairs why not give them a call. I was on the phone for a grand total of 51 seconds and was cut off 4 times before I finally said nevermind and a few other words then hung up. I may not be their #1 customer but they've just lost a loyal one who would've kept bringing them business. I'm done recommending them and hope reviews like this make them realize they shouldn't be such JO's

Nice group of guys. The place is neat and clean I like that. Waiting room small so I suggest you come back if you can. All round a relax environment I say give them a try if your in the area.

Very nice guys , took the time to explain what was wrong with my car. Had to have the throttle body replaced & it was reasonably priced. Ran good. However less than 2 days later my car battery suddenly caught fire & now I have no car and am out $400+. Unsure if it s related since the throttle body is not near the battery, but I had no previous battery issues.

I am so happy I finally found a mechanic I trust. I had a great feeling about these folks when I called for my initial appointment. They took their time to listen to my issues and gave a detailed explanation on how they planned on proceeding. As a single woman, I often get nervous going to mechanics as I know NOTHING about cars but these guys are extremely transparent and professional about everything. I feel comfortable recommending Almond Street Garage to my neighbors, family and friends. :)Service: Auto maintenance

We had a flat tire on our delivery truck today and pulled into the garage. We were treated extremely nicely by the employees and they got us a new tire and fixed the problem. Had the new tire mounted and we were back on the road for a very reasonable price. These guys are rockstars!!

I have an older car that I want to get rid of soon, but has some damage and wanted to make sure it was still safe to drive for a bit longer. They took a look and gave me an honest opinion... a huge help. I will definitely go back when I need service in the future. Easy to communicate with and got me in really fast.

Been there twice. Once for plugs and an inspection, the other for a water pump. Both times my vehicle was finished with in a day and the price was fair. You can't ask for much more from a mechanic.

I understand places can be busy and all but no need for bad customer service ! I Lived in port Richmond 15 years now. The weather is very bad today and noticed a bad flat on my back tire. I Stopped over here to see the wait time or the see if this can be fixed today. Mind you I greeted them nicely and all and received a huge attitude and a door slam. I don t recommend this place at all ! At Pep Boys now unfortunately.

I highly recommend Almond Street Garage. The team is honest, straight-forward, and excellent at resolving problems. Excellent crew. Helped me out when I was stranded with a bad water pump. Made me a priority got me back on the road the very next day. Drove back to Alabama without a issue. Can't say enough about this business. 5+++++ stars. Excellent pricing!!!!

I m not sure why it took this long for me to review Almond St- but seriously, this place is the best. They ve gone above and beyond for me so many times - liking coming out after closing on a Friday to give my car battery a charge when I dumbly left my interior light on - and always take great care of my car. Such awesome people run this place. It s a great neighborhood spot that makes me proud to be in Port Richmond.

ASG was recommended by a neighbor about 8 years ago and I've been taking my car there ever since. They are knowledgeable, trustworthy, reliable and reasonably priced. I recommend them to everyone in and out of the hood.

Paul is a trustworthy mechanic. He Will fix what is needed and not push extra work. He brought my 2001 acura mdx back to life, which I had to get towed to his shop. If you live in port richmond or the surrounding area. Definitely give this place a try. Not fun when your car breaks down, needs work. But I gained a trustworthy mechanic

Diagnosed my thump correctly ball joints, took a return to fix the initial fix and now my driver side abs sensor doesn't work and they refused to take responsibility for it. So now sometimes I hit the brakes and my pedal vibrates. It's great just great

They are reliable and friendly. They treat every customer like they already know you and with respect. I've been going to Paul for many years now and I have never been disappointed by the work, the time or the price. I would highly recommend going here for all your automotive needs, these guys really know what they are doing. FIVE STARS AND TWO THUMBS UP

Expert service. Neighborhood mechanic who will tell you straight what's going on with your car, and what it needs. Doesn't try to upsell you or add stupid extras that you don't need. Oil changes include chassis lube and fill all fluids. Very loyal customers, so wait times can be long, but the work is worth it.

This place is a complete rip off. I had to take my car to another shop to get repairs done right after this place over charged me to not fix the issue They also have a tendency to take off your windshield wipers and replace them with very cheap wipers to upcharge their clients. The guy who owns the place is nasty. Do yourself a favor a take your car elsewhere. I would go to Pep Boys before these clowns.

Rip off. Took my 98 in good faith there. Everytime I take my car there which runs pretty good, it costs me around 300$. Paul the owner decided to gouge me during inspection since he couldnt find anything wrong claimed the muffler had a hole. I agreed to replace it and 2 years later it sti) rattles around. I took it back days after the job was done and Paul said he'd fix it. So the problem was never fixed and upon my inspection (getting under the car myself), I noticed they only jammed a huge rusty bolt between the muffler strap and the new muffler. Now thats hardly professional work so beware if your cars older they're gonna say somethings wrong everytime. I ended up fixing the problem myself with a coat hanger. So after you spend hundreds of dollars with them be prepared to do some gerry rigging of your own.

Almond St Garage has made Love thy neighbor to take advantage of my neighbor. Charging for oil changes but not doing the work. Will they be held responsible when an engine blows. Is there a mechanic that you can trust? If so, what's their number? Don't go here!
