I usually do not write long, lengthy reviews but I FINALLY have a spare second to do so and feel taken advantage of by this place so I have to share:A month or so ago, I took my vehicle to get inspected. My father was kind enough to take my car/drop it off at the location as I work in the opposite direction. I did not expect my bill to be anymore than the cost of an "inspection" as it was a brand new car and I did not expect extra charges other than the cost of an inspection. I was shocked to see my bill was 158.00 and some change! Prior to taking my car to get inspected, my "LOW TIRE PRESSURE" light came on, which after reading the manual and using common sense, I assumed it was due to low tire pressure. Needless to say, we put air in the tires and the light still did not go off. Since I was dropping my car off for inspection anyways, I asked my father to mention the light and ask if there was anything that could be done so that the light would go off because it was clearly the tire pressure as indicated by the flashing icon.... My hopes were that the trained and professional mechanic could have figured out if there was an adequate amount of air in tire and if not, add the adequate amount in (it was a quick fix). I would have paid the extra money if he did this because I get that it would be extra work on their part. Instead of jumping to a logical conclusion and determining the least expensive way to approach this situation for the customer, he immediately decided to scan my ENTIRE car for issues which evidently costs over 80 some dollars to do so. Was this necessary? NO! What was the ending problem after he scanned my entire car you might ask--- some of the tires were slightly short on air...hence "low tire pressure!"!He shared with my father the adequate amount of air to be placed in the tires, which was great. I decided to call and respectfully inquire about this bill and he was very kind (hence 3 stars instead of 1). As always, I was very kind/respectful and wanted to see if maybe there was an aspect of this ordeal and high cost that I was misunderstanding. He went on to tell me how much the scan costs him monthly/yearly (I forget) and once again, explained how much air I needed in my tires. I'm sure when he/or whoever asked my father what he would like them to do, he probably said "do whatever you need to do to fix the problem" because he is a dad, he cares, and trusted them to do the right and professional thing. The mechanic(s) saw this as an opportunity to take the expensive route and take advantage of the situation to make a quick buck.Point blank: I did not want my entire brand new car scanned for an issue that was clearly indicated by the icon and could have been a quick fix. My point is not the money ( even though 158 is a rather high rate for an inspection...).This is a prime example of a mechanic going that extra mile to use pricey equipment to either try to search for other problems and to jack up the cost. Needless to say, my family will not be going there again. I learned my lesson the hard way. It is very hard to find a trusted mechanic in today's society that will not take advantage of their customers.
