So I somehow managed to cause catastrophic engine damage to my car - again. Yes, second motor replacement. Agreed - who does that?!First time was sort of a warranty situation, so I went to a dealership service center. Second time, however, was well beyond any warranty help no matter how much I negotiated. Had to find another option. My usual car guy doesn t do big jobs like an engine replacement, so he recommended a group he had used for some work on an import not too long ago - Moonlite Motorwerks. I had the car towed over there. After they reviewed the car, I called over and spent a ton of time on the phone with Paul and Berta, who explained the process to me. We eventually agreed that we d do it and settled on a price range.Got the call that the replacement motor was in and work commenced. Long story short, it took many months to complete the job - it was complex, they are extremely busy, and it was during a period of time when supply chain was a serious issue in the auto repair space. And frankly, other than dealerships, most places won t entertain a replacement job.All that being said, the car was eventually delivered and I paid the lower end of the range we discussed. Paul explained that after a complex job like that, there s no doubt a light or two will come on, and to bring it back if/when that happens.Car was performing flawlessly, a light or two did come on, and they tidied up the issues quickly and very inexpensively. In fact, they even repaired a few follow up items and either didn t charge me or charged an amount so low I couldn t believe it.I continue to bring the car there for service when necessary. They re a multi-generational business and they seriously know cars. They are extremely reasonable and don t bs you. Really good people. I recommend highly.

Dropped off my 2015 m235XI for a "Chassis function restricted message" after the diagnosis they found it was the VDC/EDM module from water damage. A unusual occasion, they took a little while to complete the job. Mostly because they're fairly busy and they wont start working on your car until all of the parts are delivered. As well as the problem with my vehicle required a little more work splicing the damaged harness due to the water damage. They took care of all the insurance work. All work was completed properly and because of the wait they gave me a 500$ discount. The wait was worth it... Would recommend for electrical BMW work.

Absolutely tremendous work! They are all amazing people who truly care about their work and returning your vehicle in tip top shape! They went above and beyond with my car. From the body work, to the planning, to the detailed paint work, all the way to letting me come in last minute for any extra things I may needed done to get the car back exactly the way I wanted it. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of Collision repair, upgrades, brakes, oil changes , etc., etc., they do it all! They specialize in European work but no matter what car or where they came from they will work on it. They are honest and upfront people. If they believe that making certain decisions with your vehicle may not be smart they will tell you. The Drost brothers Marc & Paul both will go out of there way to make sure that your problems are resolved! They know there stuff, PERIOD! Yes because they are highly recommended and a high quality shop they will be busy at times. Don't complain on wait times, they are all working to fit all scheduled vehicles in on time. Trying to get you back into your vehicle as soon as possibly but correctly. They don't like the cut corners, knowing that other problems may occur. At times putting 7 days a week into the shop, when other shops may be closed, they are in there working, when they could be home with their families. Now that's dedication to a successful business. Collision Repair, Billy does a fantastic job getting every detail correct to bring the cars back to their original showroom shape. If the insurance company misses something Billy won't. From top to bottom he will make sure it's done correctly. If you want paint work done, Moonlite is the place to go to! Joe does phenomenal work I was literally at a loss of words when my car was returned to me. I want to thank everyone at Moonlite, Marc, Paul, Berta, Billy, Joe, Curtis, Klitschko, Fran, and Joe for all the time they put in to make the shop the way it is today! Thank you Moonlite Motorwerks!!

If I could rate zero stars I would. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at an auto body shop. The manager Paul was rude and condescending. The woman working at the desk was clueless as to what was going on with my car. All this place tried to do was look for opportunities to elevate their insurance claims. Please make sure you believe the bad reviews and think twice before leaving your property in their hands. My car sat on their lot for over a week while they blamed insurance for not delivering the estimate which wasn t the case. I went to check on my car to find it sitting off of Philadelphia Ave unlocked with the windows down. I had personal property left in the car get stolen which ended in a police report being filed. I had trouble even getting my car back and out of their junk yard lot. I took my car the same day I left there to Fred Beans and they were able to recognize and fix my cars issue the same day with a complimentary detail ready for pick up the next. I have reported this business to the BBB who is undergoing an investigation. Please beware!!!

Moonlite has taken care of numerous vehicles for my family in the past 10 years. Mark, Paul, and their team work with integrity, compassion, and quality. Not only have they earned my trust with my vehicles, we've also developed a relationship over the years. They are great people and they know what they are doing. They run a great shop and definitely can handle your automotive needs at a fraction of the price of dealership costs.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Auto brake repair, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Transmission repair, Brakes, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Berta, Mike, and Paul are top notch. I had driven to Kutztown University to drop my son off for basketball camp in my 2013 BMW X5. When going to make the trip back home the vehicle would not start. A quick search of the area and I was able to find Moonlite Motorwerks about 30 minutes away. After a few calls Brita was very helpful finding and arranging a tow service that could get my X5 down to them properly using dolly's as the vehicle would not go into neutral without it running. I clearly explained the issue I was having with the no start no crank and some of the recent maintenance / repair worked performed and Brita was able to proactively order a starter motor before the vehicles arrival. Knowing that I was stranded and 3 hours from home they made arrangements to take a look at my X5 first thing the next morning. The starter motor replacement went smoothly and precise and the trip back home was uneventful. This is great family owned and operated business that has a high level of expertise and skill. They run the business very professionally and are honest and straightforward. I feel very fortunate to have found them as a person who does most all maintenance and service that I can at home. If you have a BMW or other European car this is the go to place to build a relationship with.Service: Engine repair

I can t vouch for their mechanical abilities because they had my car for two months and never looked at it. Their business ethic is horrible. They booked me an appointment then they had the car for two months and never looked at it. The lady who answered the phone would promise to call back but never did. After two months i went to pick it up and they actually asked me if it ran. I drove it off the lot. Granted my car is a bit of a special case, but why did they give me an appointment if they were not interested in working on it?

I've been taking my BMW to Moonlite for a few years and am very satisfied with the work they do. I look for honesty, quality and value in a mechanic and they get top marks on all 3 counts! BMW OEM parts are expensive no matter where you get them but the labor is always reasonable and they never recommend repairs that aren't needed. I trust them completely. It does take a while to get an appointment and sometimes the work isn't done the same day - hence 4 stars instead of 5. I suspect they could add a person and keep him more than busy. However, I'd gladly wait a little longer to get an appointment or fix in exchange for the reliable, trustworthy service I receive.

Have used this shop multiple times. The quality of the work has never been a problem. There was little to no communication between myself and the shop. Repeated attempts to get information on the progress being made on my car were unfruitful. I left many unreturned messages. They had my car for more than 40 days. At the end, there was a dispute between the shop and my insurance company for a rate for work done, so the shop held my car hostage. They would not return my car because they didn t like what the insurance company was paying them. If you have the option to use another shop, do it.

Respectfully to the few who gave bad reviews I will agree this shop may take a little longer than others. However the quality of this shop's automotive work and body repairs is truly exceptional. These people are some of the most honest and reputable people in an industry plagued with thieves, liars, con artist and unscrupulous characters.I had the Mercedes dealer in Ft. Washington insist my car needed thousands of dollars in repairs and was told that my car would not pass inspection! I took my vehicle to Moonlite for the first time ...I left my vehicle overnight was called the next day and told my vehicle was thoroughly checked, driven, and inspected .Not one item Mercedes of Ft. Washington insisted needed to be fixed was legitimate! These people easily could have taken the three page list and told me it needed the repairs but they didn't they were honest and reputable . I'll gladly wait a few extra days for my vehicle knowing what ever needed to be done was done correctly, professionally and with exceptional care, quality and pride! It's a blessing to know that there are still honest, reputable, hard working people out there! I'd gladly, and confidently recommend this shop any day!

I would give them a 5 of 5 star on electronic work. I had an DME issue where the car forgot my key fob that BMW quoted $2300 to fix and they were able to fix it for a fraction of that. They also recommended and installed a fantastic flash tune which I am thrilled with.I would give them a 1 of 5 stars on diagnostic and repair of newer BMW vehicle issues. I was very busy and didn't feel like fixing my car on my own and it had a random misfire. After waiting for several weeks I was told that I was given new coil packs and spark plugs and it helped but didn't fix it (reasonable guess). I was told that to properly fix it I would need to spend $3800 in OEM BMW injectors because mine were the wrong series (reasonable guess as well since I was running an outdated series). I took it back and diagnosed it myself as a failed HPFP (known issue) and for $500 i was back on the road. I was still satisfied at this point because I understand how difficult it can be to diagnose misfires on these engines. Fast forward 500 miles and about one month and I have a dead miss. When I took the engine cover off, much to my dismay I discovered that the coil packs were mismatched Delphi and Bosch (big no-no) and that a third off brand (that appeared used) was the culprit.I manage several auto and heavy duty shops as my profession, and I understand that this was not necessarily deliberate or a true indication of their overall service quality, but I will not be bringing my N54 back for diagnostics here. If I ever need more programming or "bull-work" done and have a spare car handy, they will be #1 on my list to call.

I've been there twice so far for different types of work. Excellent service overall. They work quickly and the prices are much better than going to the BMW dealership. They didn't hesitate to explain details of the issues my car had and how the repairs would work. I would definitely recommend MoonLite MotorWerks to anyone looking for an independent mechanic.

My family & I highly recommend Moonlite. They always take the time to explain and show you what work is needed and why. They keep our Audi, VW & even my Honda safe on the road. I have peace of mind knowing my kids are driving cars repaired and maintained by Moonlite. If you are looking for a shop that goes above & beyond, this is it. Great job Marc, Paul & Berta.

I've been taking my 2005 MINI Cooper S to Moonlight since I purchased it. The two brothers are great guys and extremely helpful. Anytime I've had an issue with my car they are quick to explain the problem in detail and offer a fix at a great price. These guys are so passionate about European cars I recommend them to anyone who has one.

Please don't fall into the same trap as I believing all of the positive reviews for this shop. They are either friends or paid reviewers. If you want to get creative "stories" of why your car isn't done, please use Moonlite. If you have a spare car you can drive, and are in no expectations of prompt service, then Moonlite may be for you.I had them fix a cracked plastic turbo inlet for my 335xi BMW taking 2 months (8wks) start to finish. A simple turbo inlet pipe took 8wks to repair. I did need to order a new part (I had to order that too), but that only delayed it about 1 week. This is a 6hr job at most. The mechanics seem nice (if you ever get to talk to them), but the woman who handles all customer relations needs to be fired. She is totally rude to customers, never calls or emails you back promptly, and when she does good luck getting a straight answer from her. I don't see why you would want this shop to service you.

The worst experience ever! If you're a BMW enthusiast as I am, stay far away! They managed to put in my control arm bushings backwards. They fell out while driving at high speed, and they even got an attitude with me after taking the car back. Moreover, they tried to overcharge me by a couple of hundred saying that it took them longer to install the bushings (because they put them in backwards). They also failed to provide me with an alignment spec sheet (second time) after multiple attempts (my alignment is worse than before). Please stay far far away; these guys are the worst ever!

Great work and excellent service. Despite that place being always extremely busy, and my VW nothing special and old, Mark and Paul took the time to fit me in their schedule, and provided an advice and some diagnostics as a courtesy. Just to compare to 'stealership', at VW they looked, and offered replacement at exuberant price, I still shelled $$ for looking and and car left the same way it got there. At Moonlite, car was repaired at fair cost, valuable advice was given and I drove off with my car fixed.

I personally don't recommend this place to anyone! If you feel like waiting 2 months for your car to get done and still hasn't been touched, be my guest. I've called many times to find out what the update on my car is and never got a straight answer. After never fixing my car, they still managed to charge me out the roof. Please don't take your car here

Went to Moonlite Motorwerks for the first time on yesterday November 8, 2013 to have my expansion tank replaced on my Range Rover. We were in a bind because the drive shaft on our back up vehicle dropped to the ground on our way to work yesterday morning. We called and were able to get back on the road in NO TIME. Not only was our vehicle repaired, but we were given accurate answers to questions that we had.Key point, if you treat others the way you would like to be treated it always comes back to you. This family of qualified, HUMBLE, individuals are a true blessing, and we will continue to bring our vehicles to this location for repair as long as there is breath in our bodies. GREAT JOB Moonlite Motorwerks. Keep up the good WERK!!!

Excellent experience with Moonlite. I considered getting rid of my BMW because of a mysterious problem. The dealer quote was very expensive, yet couldn't assure me that their suggested fix would take care of the problem, so I took it to Moonlite.Sure, these guys don't have a pretty lobby with fancy pastries and kids' playground or nothing like that, but they took care of my problem, which is what I wanted.Straightforward and reasonably priced. Not just a good experience, but the reason I'm keeping my BMW.If it wasn't for the guys at Moonlite, I'd now be driving a japanese appliance. And hating myself for it.

MM are experienced technicians and are not out to gouge customers like the BMW dealer does. The Dealer were not sure what was the problem with my 745li and were going to just start throwing parts at it. MM have the equipment and knowledge to diagnose the problem and the ability to correct it. I will bring my German autos here when there is a problem.

I took my 1998 BMW Z3 to MoonLite for an engine squeal. I met with Mark, explained the problem and left the car. Within a few hours, Mark called me with what he found and gave me an estimate. He did great work, the car was finished on time and I will most certainly take my Z3 there in the future.
