Pat is amazing! He takes the time to break everything down and explain it to someone like me that doesn t know anything about this type of stuff when it comes to cars. He saved me thousands of dollars on a repair that I don t necessarily need that was recommended at the dealership. I m really glad that I pulled it from there to take it to him for a 2nd opinion. He not only went over a concern I had with the transmission, but another issue as well. He is thorough and even though he s busy takes the time and patience to really talk to his customers. I would recommend anyone go here when it comes to your transmission.

Pat helped a few years back with my work truck. I ve since referred a couple friends to them and just recently he help out with my sons car. Pat is reliable, knowledgeable and very trustworthy.

Being an Uber driver, I put a lot of mileage on my car, (50,000 to 60,000 per year)...when my trans went bad almost 3 years ago around 120,000 miles I contacted Pat's and they set me up with a working remanufactured transmission that I purchased with a 3 year/unlimited mileage warranty...after that one went bad around 100,000 miles later he replaced it for free with another one, then another 100,000 or so and almost 3 years later with 315,000 miles on the car he replaced that one for free again. They do great work and they are very honest and keep good communication over the course of the job. Highly recommended.

Pat is very knowledgeable and his prices are fair; especially compared to other national chains in the area (I won't say any nAAmes...) His initial diagnosis is hundreds less than not-said chAAin and when thAAt compAAny tried to convince me that I need to replAAce my trAAnsmission, it turned out that I really just needed brakes and my transmission was fine. Once my brakes were done, my 230k-mile car passed inspection with no problems. Thank you, Pat for saving me thousands and actually determining what was really wrong with my car! Honest mechanics do exist and I found one in Pat!

This guy was informative and honest as the day is long. I live 2 hours away from my daughter in Philly. She called me up with what sounded like a transmission problem. Someone had recommended Pat and Im greatful they did. Turns out it was a $600 issue that had nothing to do with the transmission. Pat could have easily duped me into a couple thousand dollar repair but didn't. Pat has a new customer for life!

Pat and crew have treated me and my aging vehicles LIKE FAMILY since the first time I set foot at his former location in Broomall, PA almost 20 years ago.The quality, speed, and overall value of their service is above and beyond any other mechanic shop I know, and I can't recommend them enough. Pat himself is a master when it comes to diagnosing problems and providing cost-saving advice and solutions. My family and I have dubbed him "The Transmission Whisperer" for a very good reason!Finding a shop that treats their customers with honesty and kindness is extremely hard to find these days, and this is why I will drive 2 hours or more if necessary in order to deal with Pat's Transmissions, they are an absolute blessing.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

The dreaded news from my mechanic, "It sounds like a Transmission problem!" D@#m it!, I was so nervous the transmission was messed up. A new Trans for this truck can be in the $5000.00 range. I was referred to Pat's by my mechanic as being such an honest shop. Boy was he right, I can't say how amazed I am that I found a shop so up front with the process and what he had to do. It turned out I was only low on fluid, and Pat's explained that checking the fluid in this vehicle is a process in itself and many mechanics would miss read the true level. The shop was great, and I left Pat's feeling like I was treated honestly and fair. I recommend this shop to anyone and everyone with a transmission problem. Thank you so much for the Help and honesty Pat's!

I just wanted to share this for anybody who needs transmission work done. Pat did a excellent overhaul on my 2008 impala! He's very professional and meticulous with his work!!! Up front with the price and warranty!! And me being in auto body and collision work all my life can see someone who does excellent work!!! And that's Pat!! Thanks for a great job!! The service is excellent, the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are pretty decent too. 3 years on from a rebuild with over 70k miles and still going. Runs a bit better than when I bought the truck with 24k miles on it. I removed and installed the transmission and they were kind enough to include a fabricated bracket to keep the torque converter in place, a nice touch. Turn around time was good. Done on time with no delays. I had heard good reviews and I was not disappointed. I am definitely returning for future transmission work. Great job Pat's!

Pat is a knowledgeable automotive repair professional, and offered me excellent service on my minivan's transmission. He took considerable care to make sure there were no mechanical problems with my transmission before he changed the fluid and filter...something no other mechanic had done previously in any car I've owned in the past. I remain grateful for his commitment to excellence and his extra effort to make sure I was properly informed about how best to extend the life of my transmission. I recommend him highly.

I was quoted over $4,700 for a new transmission from a dealer. Being that i work for a small non profit, that would have blown our budget out of the water.Pat worked with me (via Facetime) to diagnose the issue, and ultimately repaired the vehicle (instead of replacing the entire transmission as the dealer suggested) for under $700.Pat was thorough, helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone and will be using him and his team for ALL our transmission repairs going forward.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

Pat is a genuinely honest person. I brought my Jeep here thinking it may have needed work and Pat took the time to look it over and road test it with me. He eventually showed me what I thought was a problem was actually a driving habit. Pat's transmissions came highly recommended through my regular mechanic and I was very satisfied with how his business is run. Will definitely be taking my car back when it needs transmission maintenance.

Pat and his team exceeded my expectations! Accurate estimate, friendly/professional staff and quick service. This was my family s third rebuilt transmission out of his shop (different vehicles) and when it comes time for number four, I know where to go. Highly recommended. They ll get you back on the road fast and with confidence!

Hands down best place to have your transmission serviced.Pat is incredibly honest and fair.I took my 2014 Chevy Spark 1lt in because my mechanic and 2 of my family members recommended Pat to me.Pat and his team thoroughly looked at my car and researched my unique CVT transmission and discovered that GMC/Chevy announced a "special coverage" of this specific transmission due to various issues it has.Pat absolutely could have charged me $6k+ for a new transmission and I would have never known the difference BUT instead he provided me a packet of documentation on the issue, guidance on who to call, and advice on how to get a new transmission through the dealer for FREE.I took my vehicle to Thomas Chevrolet and followed Pats instructions to a tee and I just got the call that GMC/Chevy will be replacing the entire transmission at NO COST TO ME!! This saved me well over SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS and it was all thanks to Pat and his team.I will likely have transmission issues another 50+ times in my lifetime and I will continue to take my car to Pat no matter what.I will refer Pat to everyone I know because it is such a relief to meet someone so honest and thorough.THANK YOU PAT!!!!!Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

They just rebuilt the trans on my 08 escape. They gave an accurate quote and timing at drop off. Staff is friendly and this is the third car he's worked on in our family and we will continue to keep coming back. Car is running strong with no slips. And a 2 year warranty to boot on all their work! Great shop.

My car had two problems that I thought were related to the transmission so I brought it in for Pat to investigate. I didn t need to make an appointment and Pat was very friendly and accommodating with my walk-in request.I was fully expecting to need a new transmission and made that clear upfront, but Pat was able to fix both problems without even needing to remove the transmission from the vehicle, and for a tenth of the price of a full trans job. He went the extra mile and looked over the rest of the drivetrain and let me know of a few parts that were not in the best shape but not yet at the point of needing to be replaced, and even provided suggestions for how to prolong the life of those parts as long as possible.The car was in the shop for a grand total of 27 hours and Pat called with updates along the way. After he was done with the repairs he took me for a test drive to make sure everything felt and sounded as it should.I wish I could give more than 5 stars, Pat treated me like family and most definitely deserves every star and then some.

This is the real deal. A real transmission shop. Pat's operation knows transmissions. They have been in their own business for years. They care. They help you understand as much as you want to know about your situation.I met Pat for the first time on a BMW transmission job. He worked with me to get the best value for my money. He even showed my son and me his operation taking valuable time from his day to share his life's work in transmission with fantastic tour of his business.It does not get any better than Pat's.

Our mechanic recommended us to take our Honda Pilot to Pat to assess the transmission. He was honest with the assessment, simply saving a tremendous amount of money. He explained the issues clearly. Bottom line, I would trust Pat with our transmission in the future. Thank you Pat.

So While I didnt use him I did call for an estimate after the dealer told me the trans is shot. This was for a 2013 Nissan Sentra with only 36,000 miles but notorious for trans problems. He explained all about the lawsuits that took place and while I was technically in between the suits since the mileage was so low I may be a candidate for help from Nissan cust. serv.. He gave me the number and info to call them and advocate for a solution or help from Nissan . He didn't try to sell me on him doing the work just wanted to help us. In this day and age sadly its rare to find such an honest guy but Pat is definitely one, I mean who would spend the time and effort to help me and nothing in it for him I mean who does that nowadays? . If you need trans work I would run to this honest garage and owner!

As a small business owner, I believe that excellent customer service, delivering beyond what is expected and a "do unto other as you would have them do unto you" attitude is how to excel. This is what I found at Pat's Transmission. Fantastic service, information and treatment. Delighted to have these folks as an honest and experienced resource for this transmission issue and any others in the future.

I am just so thankful for Pat s Transmissions!!! My car broke down on Monday and the cops had it towed to a local car shop. Pat s had a tow company come on Tuesday afternoon and get my car and bring it to their shop. Pat called me on Tuesday evening and told me my car diagnostic and told me he would have it done the following Wednesday. Pat had my car done that FRIDAY I was so happy! Thank you so much!!!!

I am giving this place a 5 start due the facts that the owner took his time out to talk to me about my 2009 maxima cvt issue and didnt just push me to go with him so he can make money. He also letted me know that cvt cant be rebuilt just replaced so the price dont change anywhere you go. Then recommend that i call nissan customer affairs line to see if they will assist me with fixing my transmission at a discounted rate which they did which is wonderful. If nissan didnt offer me an discount at all i would have 100% went back to him just because he offered a better car warranty. Thanks alot again pat please look into this transmission place if you looking to get it fixed i highly recommend them

Yep. Got to agree with the other reviews. If you've got to have your transmission worked on, Pat's is the place. I made the mistake of waiting until I had a problem and they took good care of me. Now I use him on all my vehicles to avoid a problem.
