Great experience with General RV in Elizabethtown PA today. Traded in my Class C on a new travel trailer. Debbie (demo), Chris (delivery coordinator) and Jarrid S (technician) were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They definitely stepped up to provide excellent customer service. The guys in the Parts Dept were a big help with my spending more money. Eric (sales manager) jumped in to resolve some issues leaving us with a positive experience. I ve dealt with General RV in the past and have found them to be one of the better RV dealerships. Today was no exception. Thanks also to those behind the scenes folks.

I would give them a negative number if I could. Bought a brand new motorhome from here. Had problems with the tip outs from the time of the walk through when I bought it. After 5 attempts and 8 weeks at the dealership I drove over 500 miles to the manufacture who fixed it in less than 5 hours. I'm still waiting on General RV service department to call me back from the messages I left a month ago to set up an appointment.

This is hands down the best RV dealer I ve ever had the experience of working with. It s relaxed, has a huge inventory, and the price is right. I came from out of state just to work with these folks and I don t regret a thing. I buy and trade my RV every few years and I will always come back here from now on, no matter where I am in the country. Special shout- out to Amy (sales rep), Robert (finance), and their sales manager for all of their support!

Definitely be very careful when swimming with these sharks , lots of hidden processing fees , prep fees .Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed your keeping our entire deposit since we backed out of a unit we didnt want, will never do business with you again, you were out of the market for 4 days on a 50k Winnebago Vista unit that doesnt warrant keeping my entire deposit. When we tried to purchase a more suitable unit your sales rep lied to us yesterday about the 2022 Thor 32 Traveler was priced incorrectly online at 89,999 but we will honor that price for you at 89,999.00 plus 2500.00 prep fee, and the price being non negotiable when my wife called down to the Florida General RV store directly and Mr. BM sales rep at that store told her it was completely negotiable. Put a really bad taste in our mouths. " OH WELL YOU GOT MY MONEY AND DEPOSIT " Don't know how you call yourself a family owned business and you definitely don't care about the customer.A day later got the typical generic response on google review, no personal phone call , nothing ! General RV took a 4700.00 deposit from my family on a unit we decided not to purchase and ruined our entire camping season and left us broke by keeping our hard earned money ! For a business that proclaims itself as a " Family Owned Business " who cares about families and the camping experience it is definitely is not showing. More like a GREEDY business who doesn't have any values ! We were flat out lied too by your sales department.

I took my RV in for a few repairs and there was a lengthy delay in getting a part from one of the Winnebago contractors, thus General RV ended up having my RV for 2 months. When I picked up my RV it had been parked under a tree and was covered with bird droppings. The cabin floor had grease all throughout as they didn't bother covering the floor while working inside the vehicle. Furthermore, one of the issues (a bad switch in the cabin electrical system ) was not fixed and I had to leave the RV for another week for this to be repaired. Icing on the cake: someone at General RV broke the parking brake to the point where it needed to be replaced and General RV did not bother to tell me. I found it when I opened the driver door when I was picking up the vehicle and saw the broken handle. They wanted to have it repaired at a local Ram dealer but I would have had to wait another 2-3 weeks for the repair. I was assured General RV would pay for the repair if I took it myself to a different Ram service department, so instead I picked up the RV and took it to my local Ram dealership for repair (which was done in 2 days). When I presented General RV with the repair bill ($600) they decided they were going to submit it to the aftermarket seat manufacturer to see if they would pay and declined to pay me until they had an answer. I reached out to the General RV customer care and they paid the bill immediately. Eventually all the issues were resolved, but it was not a good experience and I will not be going back. A very poorly run service department.

Jake was extremely helpful in assisting us with our first RV purchase. He went above and beyond to find a few units that were in our price range and showed us one we fell in love with. He listened to our concerns and our needs and really tried to find the best RV for us. We were extremely satisfied working with him! 10 out of 10 would highly recommend!

I was rudely approached and basically instructed to leave and make an appointment. I've run a business, applied and taught sales for 6 years. Through that lens I have little tolerance for rudeness in service. I left 3 stars out of respect for understanding the owners can't control their staff every minute of the day. That said, I will be shopping elsewhere.

Well, we are now RV owners! Taking the plunge into this area was something we were cautious about, and we had a LOT of questions and a lot of options to sort through to find the best balance of features. Fortunately, Jake Mansfield was very helpful throughout the process, and he was supported by an amazing product rep (Maddie White) from the manufacturer (Grand Design) who was able to answer all of our detailed questions. Great buying experience.

This was our first travel trailer purchase. Jake was patient with us and answered all our questions. He gave us space and time to make our decision which included several days and showing us additional trailers. No pressure just good info and good communication. He listens well.

Can't say enough good things about Carl at General RV in E-town. Professional, honest, attentive and knows RVs. We're currently searching for our next diesel pusher and he has been a great resource. He understands what we're looking for and is completely transparent with his descriptions and details of the units he sends us to consider. No surprises. Carl and General RV are our 1st choice for our next motorhome.

I purchased my trailer in October of 2022. General RV had no issues with selling, prepping and delivering my trailer in a timely manner. During my first season, I noticed some warranty repairs. I wanted to finish the season before dropping it off for the warranty work.I dropped the trailer off in late Oct 2023. When I dropped it off everything went smoothly. Because it was getting colder, I also asked them to winterize my unit. I was told that it shouldn't take to long to get the repairs completed.Well.... Today 2/7/2024. I still do not have my unit nor have they started any repairs. They however did winterize it ( why not repair it once they were finished with the winterization)? Instead they set it back out and has not been looked at since then. I have called several times and I get a text back saying they have not looked at my unit but it should not be much longer. I have also tried reaching out to a service manager and instead get a text back from my advisor. I have asked them on multiple occasions to call me, not text me. But four months later and I just get a text stating they are looking into it.So from my experience the service side of General RV is awful. I have never had a worse experience in my life. In my opinion they should not sell RV's if they can not handle servicing them. But if I were to purchase a new one, I bet they would have no problem getting it to me in less than 30 days.Signed,Will never purchase anything from General RV.

I took ownership of a brand new Winnebago Micro Minnie FLX on Saturday April 8 and I had a GREAT experience. The folks at General were top notch and I'd highly recommend them. From our walk though (a couple week ago) to our pick up everything went really smooth. I asked them to install my back up camera which was a brand other than Voyager, so I provided the adapter cable and bracket. It took a bit longer than they expected. Also, I asked them to install the Level Mate Pro because of wasn't sure of the best spot for it to go inside my RV. They did this work for free which was really kind of them. Again, what a great experience !!!

Jake Mansfield was very personable and knowledgeable. He helped us with any questions we had and was enjoyable to talk to. We are thankful that he pointed us to the right camper for our family!

Everything was Perfect! I drove over 7 hours to the dealership to purchase my ModBug, when I arrived they rolled out the red carpet. Everything was ready, my time was valued, all my questions were answered, and it was exactly as advertised. The entire team at the Elizabethtown PA location are top notch!

If I could give this company negative stars I would. Nothing but lies, inconveniences, and issues from the day of purchase. If you were to go into a car dealership to spend $100k you would be treated like gold. General RV could care less. Every issue is passed on to someone else and nobody actually wants to help you. They just want to get you out the door and be done with you. As I sit at a location in PA waiting for MORE things to be fixed (only had the unit for 3 months), all I can do is look forward to NEVER having to deal with this company again.

We purchased our 2016 Spree by K Z in April 2023 from General RV Elisabethtown Pa.Due to an unfortunate accident on the way home from our 2nd camping trip. We dropped off our Camper for repairs on July 19, 2023.Our camper just sits on their lot. Parts were ordered then returned. Last communication via text from General RV was in November :parts were received and they would schedule for repairs. After not hearing from them,We called yesterday for an update and were told our new coordinator was not available to talk - no manager available as well.We were told they have 48 hours to return call.We not only purchased our camper for traveling with our family, but as a home office as well. We planned on using it year round. We are so very disappointed with our experience with General RV.After reading the reviews online, I see we are not alone!!

Friendly staff but bad service. I spent 120k on a brand new campervan that had a defective solar panel from day one. 3months later it's still not fixed. I put the van in their care and a week later no one has looked at it yet and it could take two months before someone looks at it. They wanted to charge me extra service for winterizing because it will be parked on their lot for two or more months for the winter.

Company is not only selling aggressively but will also not complete service on time. Cash offers are not worthy of their time and want to sell the financed product instead.Neighborhood right next door to this company is now drastically affected by the parking lot lights. The owner has stated Merts road is to be used for emergency purposes only but we have now witnessed multiple construction vehicles using Merts road and we do not expect to see the promise upheld in the future.Water run off from the newly constructed parking lot may also damage the Federally protected land. The plan is to scrap all top soil and utilize this soil to expand the show room space. Mount Joy ordinance article 2-14 must be followed as designed under the Federal Clean Water Act.

Do not buy anything from this place. They damaged my brand-new RV; it has been almost a year now, and they just keep lying to me about it all. After speaking to the manufacturer's warranty dept., they confirmed the facts to me and confirmed the dealer was lying to me. They just keep giving me a run-around.This place is a jokeSTAY AWAY!!

Can I give 0 stars? I dropped my RV on Sept 7th told 4-6 weeks. Performed periodic check-ins to which nobody responded. Finally got a hold of Melissa who replaced my service rep, she submitted a email to management to get my unit in to the shop--- at end of week 5--it hasn't made the shop floor. Just turned week 6 and I had to schedule to pickup my RV--not repaired, not even looked at, I will just pay to have it fixed locally out of pocket (Thor's 2 year warranty is useless) Did I mention the repair shop is over 3 hours from my home and I have to have a chase vehicle follow? I never reviewed the sham of a sales experience when I purchased the RV in Michigan, I am making a video of the entire General RV Experience you can find--I will publish it soon. I have been RVing for 30 years and owned my own rental company, not a first timer. Buyers beware, nobody will service your Thor unless you buy if from them. In this case even General RV who I purchased it from didn't service it because they have no control of their shop floor. So with payments on an RV that isn't usable and fuel for transporting back and forth I am $2000.00 in the hole and not even touched by their inept service department. Don't even get me on the sham their finance manager pulled...This is my first bad review ever written.

Took our 2024 Thor Gemini 23TW in as part of the "keep you camping" program because our battery panel was showing almost no charge in the two lithium batteries. Ryan and Mark from Service were very quick, helpful, and courteous in diagnosing and correcting the problem, which should been addressed at the General RV dealership from which we purchased the Gemini.

Very helpful with issues on RV. They stand by their product and honor every deal they make. They also will give you a call back when you leave a message!

Absolutely horrible business, and even worse customer service. I feel sorry for everyone who has had to deal with them. I wouldn't wish there business on anyone! All they care about is selling units and kicking you out the door. You better not have any issues with your unit because you will not be getting any help from General RV of Etown!

We had an amazing service experience at GRVC in Elizabethtown PA this morning. We'd developed an electrical issue in our 2016 Adventurer 37F the second day into our annual snowbird winter trip that prevented boondocking on our way south to NC. To boot, we were being chased south by a massive upstate NY snowstorm. We pulled in to the General lot an hour before opening filled with worry about this start to our winter migration. From the Porter who provided instructions to navigate the lot to the cheery Lady (I wish I'd gotten her name) who did the "triage" and got expert mechanic "Donnie", they had us out the door and on our way in under half an hour - before opening time. Thank You All So Very Much for The Care and Professionalism you showed us today. Happy Thanksgiving, JO&TariO

No issues in getting recalls taken care of however their hourly rate for repairs are outrageous 285.00 sorry but no one is worth that price per hr. Luckily my issue was resolved quickly after I stated that if it couldn t be figured out in 15 min I have a local rv guy that would come to my home for less than their price..

Bought a used camper from General RV in Elizabethtown. I know I should have listened to myself, but I bought the camper anyways. Well needless to say the landing legs on my new to me camper stopped working while hooked to my truck, only the second time using the camper. I should have known when they showed me the operations and it was slow and they said it would go faster when hooked up to power. I kind of got the run around bring it, no the guy that gets campers unhitched only works during the week, oh you need an appointment, we can't get you in for two weeks, sorry about your luck that your campers stuck on your truck and can't drive back to work for two weeks, but that's best we can do. Needless to say Im very disappointed in the service and customer services department and their keep you camping promise.

I saved 2k on the purchase price compared to a competing 5 star dealer and bought myself a massive 1 star headache. This is an abridged review because I could write a HBR case study on bad customer service models at this point. Believe all the poor reviews and STAY AWAY from this location or make certain your product is 100 to your liking before paying. I wish I had taken the reviews more seriously, I thought it was just a handful of cranky people. It s not. GRV in PA will do a great job of promising to make everything right and take care of you to get you to sign and then it becomes your part time job to get them to get the work done. The staff all strike me as kind individuals, but if you buy here you have to put in WORK to ensure all their incompetence and mistakes along the process are addressed, some which put my life in danger - like a improperly installed ball (I called to ask if I needed it installed ahead of time and they promised they would do it, they failed to tighten it after several reminders from me while I signed paper work, when I asked before driving off to have it tightened they rushed through it because they wanted to close the shop and did so on an angle, stripping the threads, and not to torque specs leaving it with severe play. I know this because once it was done correctly my towing experience changed dramatically). I ve had to rebook travel, cut trips short and may have to cancel my upcoming trip because I still don t have plates but they blame NJ - while it was how they approached addresses on the paperwork with my co-signer that caused all the issues.I also have to consistently follow up with emails and calls because they have no proactive or proper communication protocols to let you know things are being addressed (which they are often dropping the ball on anyway). Finally, there s an air of attitude in their voice with my sister and me at this point because they are tired of our persistent follow up - (which has ranged from once call a day to now once a week). News flash I am tired of calling you too.The photo attached shows how they failed to inspect the BRAND NEW trailer and gave it to me with a vent missing and sun rotted duct tape among other problems. I did not see this until I got home and got on a ladder - a 3 hour drive later. Expect a thorough you tube review to follow.

Purchased a new rv from the Elizabethtown location in August 2023. Had some minor things not right about it. Everytime I called about an issue I had to drive it there so they could take pictures to submit for warranty work. Then had to make another appointment to take it back for the actual work to be done. Found some other issues before I took it back for the work to be done. Called to add that work to my existing work order and was told I can t add it. Called to speak to my service advisor about it but she wasn t there. Left messages asking to return my phone call amd none of them were returned. They are all about you when it comes to sales, but service is pathetic.
