HORRIBLE substandard parts, both my control arm/ ball joint assemblies have failed... hundreds in parts and the labor to install them between the two was about $900 before tax! Doorman warranty? Terrible...never again. Don't take the safety risk.. ball joints shouldn't fail less than a year after installation, my original Ford motorcraft ones lasted 200k before they needed replaced, these barely made it 20k miles

I live close to your facility in Landsdale. I was driving a few months ago and I saw what appeared to be a company picnic/gathering. I witnessed people laughing, talking, eating and just having a good time. With the way the world and the political climate is today, coupled with the dysfunction between businesses and employees. It was nice to see that your company values its employees and I just think it was a good way to go moving forward. Keep up the great work that you are doing and always remember customers and employees first.

If I could give less than 1 star I would, I own an Auto repair shop and get more defective parts than I do good ones, not to mention, quite often the dealer is less expensive. This Honda VVT valve lasted 30 minutes. I almost tore the engine apart thinking it was the variable cam gear. Thank god I'm smart enough to recognize bad quality, and remembered all the other defects from Doorman and sure enough the housing blew apart and oil pressure snuck passed and was unable to activate the VVT system...Good job Doorman!

During January 2021, I purchased Dorman lug nuts for my Mission snowmobile trailer. I installed them using a quality torque wrench and socket. At this time I did notice that during the install that some of the chrome may have come came off the lug nuts. I am not totally sure if the chrome came off during this normal install or from the environmental effects. Either way chrome should not be missing. This spring I noticed that the lug nuts were severely rusted in the areas that were missing chrome. This should not have happened and I attempted to return the lug nuts to my local O Reilly auto parts store. The representative told me that the product carried a one year warranty and they would not replace them. I decided to look into the product further which led me to your website. I spoke with your technical support and was told that the product had a limited lifetime warranty. Your representative told me to contact O Reilly and inform them of this. O Reilly told me that they do not honor the limited lifetime warranty. I am not sure why and I am not sure why you do not require them to do so. I do however request that you do honor your limited lifetime warranty as stated on your website. If a manufacturer/distributor states that a product carries a limited lifetime warranty then that will influence a consumers decision on whether to purchase a product or not and ethically the warranty must be honored. The logistics of the warranty should not be an issue. If my car has a three year warranty but the dealer doesn t want to replace a part then I expect the manufacturer to make good on the issue

This is a good place. I'm sure they're good for the local economy. They are doing big things in the aftermarket auto parts industry.

Their automotive parts are not quality parts, nor do the Dorman products conform to O.E.M. parts which Dorman claims. Dorman manufacturers inferior parts, whereas they are not of the proper specifications, yet try to deceive others. Fact: Purchased Dorman 13977 (Wheel Bearing Dust Cap) that Dorman cross references to O.E.M. GM part number (15070471) and the part "Does Not Fit". Specifications of the Dorman part (13977) are 2 3/32" which is short of the O.E.M. GM part number that is 2 1/8".We sent an email to Dorman and they never responded. I called Dorman in speaking with Rob as he was rude, sarcastic and tried to intimidate me which did not work. More so, Rob disconnected the call purposely in hanging up on me. Each and every word can be corroborated verbatim, for all our calls are logged for future reference. We would not recommend any purchasing anything from Dorman as they seek to entrap the unsuspecting.

purchased wheel studs ( #610-290 ) from O'Reilly's which are Dorman brand: used a 20 ton floor press to both remove the old studs and push in these replacements - 80% of the studs had burred threads - even after running these repeatedly with a NEW die, half of them still retain tight spots, making it impossible to torque the lug nuts ( also new, but NOT Dorman ). I've been doing this for almost 60 years, know what I'm doing, and know I didn't booger the threads ( why you don't pound them in ). You can look at the threads and tell they are not clean and have burr metal in the grooves. Very poor quality.________________________________________________________________________FOLLOW-UP: went to a different O"Reilly's today to get some matching studs since my first source was out - this store had two boxes ( 20 studs total ) in stock. We checked each stud - 100% of them had bad threads - a normal lug nut would thread on about 1/2 " before it seized. You could see the burrs in the threads. The salesman at O'Reilly's got a thread chaser out of his tool kits and ran the threads on enough of them for me to finish the job - SO, it wasn't a case of a few bad products - ALL of them in ALL checked locations across a 40 mile stretch of stores had the same unusable quality - conclusion is they are a garbage product.

Employees do bare minimum to help customers out. Communication sucks. I asked for a call back so i could further explain what was going on and got an email instead. Never again.
