Best, most reliable, family friendly shop you ll ever do business with. There s a reason why my entire family goes here. They are honest and will always shoot straight with you. They are extremely communicative and will work with you in terms of prices. Any work they perform on your vehicle is definitely a testament of how they are masters of the field. I know I can leave my car with them and it ll come back in significantly better condition and performance. 10/10

Really needed my inspection stickers reissued, and found Nelson s Auto Repair! The Garage looked nice and clean; unlike any place I ve ever gone to. I was in and out within 30 minutes or less, during that time staff were very warm and welcoming, with a nice sense of humor, yet very professional. I will definitely be coming back for all of my other needs, and referring folks to this Garage!

Customer service is absolutely wonderful! Rob was friendly and helpful through and through. Booking the appointment was easy, the work was done in the time projected and the price was worthwhile compared to other nearby mechanics. My only critique would be that when doing the early bird drop off, there are 2 parking areas and if you enter from Bethel Rd, you'll need to walk around to the door on Market St to locate the drop box, I absolutely forgot to ask its location when I booked my appointment. There also is limited lighting at the drop box. The convenience of the drop box (and all of the above) outweighed wandering to locate the box (and it's hidden slot) using my phone flashlight.

Took my wife s car in for check engine light, misfiring, and a bunch of problems while driving. Turns out it was an open fuel injector and Rob was great with quickly diagnosing that. The prices were fair and reasonable. Very happy with the work, communication and customer service. I think we found our new go-to mechanic in the area!

I had the misfortune of frequenting Nelson's often due to the age and condition of my car. I'm so grateful this was the first mechanic I stumbled into when I moved to the area! Rob and his crew are super trustworthy, very reasonable and honest with work that needs to be done to keep the vehicle safe and what work can be delayed and never any upselling. 10/10 recommend.

Took my 1988 Monte Carlo SS there to get a punch list done to to get it tagged and a shifting cable replaced. It was not an easy job - car has a big block 502 and 2 speed tranmission with a line lock on it! Picked it up Monday could not be happier! The communication and suggestions to improve performance were spot on. I could not be happier. I highly recommend this shop - another plus this shop has pricing too!

Rob was very helpful with my tires and rims. He was very helpful and informative with my car. When I got to sneak peak my rims I had tears of joy. They absolutely do make my car pop out! I ll be treating my rims and tires like they are a newborn baby! Definitely recommend this shop for all your car needs!

I had the pleasure of working with Rob and Tim. They inspected a used car I bought and gave me helpful insights to bring back to the dealer. Rob was always open to answering questions I had during my used car buying process. I get my cars inspected here too, and would recommend them to everyone!

I went there originally just to get an oil change. As I was there myself and the guy at the front desk were talking about how I feel as a woman, I often get taken advantage of by mechanics just for them to do the same! This summer alone I put in over $2000 on my car which had a check engine light on over my exhaust system. I explained that my car needed to pass registration so I needed that message gone. My first amount of work was for $1500 to fix my brakes and to get my exhaust system running properly to pass. This price also included a diagnostic to see what the error codes were. I thought certainly with this much money on my older car, I would be able to ride out into the sunset just for me to fail my test. I returned and explained to the my check engine light had come on again a was charged another diagnostic fee and another $600 in work as this time it was sure to fix the error. While I can say every time the work was done quickly, i never had to leave me car longer than two days, they never fixed me problem. I fail my test again after this visit causing me to come back in the SAME day. This time the test was free however they then told me to go and buy a gas cap from auto zone to see if that was the issue. While it did cause my light to go off, i feel like part of the $150 diagnostic that I was charged twice should have included a check on such a simple part. I did not have to spend $2000+ in work to end up at that conclusion. I would think with a $150 twice, somebody would have checked for that. I ALWAYS paid them quickly when my work was done and trusted that they were trying to do what was best for me and my car. They looked for themselves and their pockets. The absolute last straw was being charged $150 for the installation of a battery I bought to the shop with me for them to put in. This included another diagnostic fee labor and parts even though I bought my own battery. In 4 months I gave them over $2000 just to be taken advantage like the other shops I explained to him I had issues with. I hope that $2000+ is serving them well because it was the last money they will ever get out of me! I was buying a 2017 subaru off my neighbor who took the car in here to have it checked out, as it was his father's and was sitting in the driveway for awhile. He was given a $2,000 estimate for amongst other things, a whole new AC system (including Freon) and back brakes. I thought this odd for a 5 yr old car with 65K mileage, so I took it into my garage (whom I trust) on Naamons creek Rd. by our house. I told them nothing about the previous estimate. They told me the only thing it needed was to replace a cracked tail light so it would pass inspection. I then asked about the back brakes...they were fine with half life still. I said what about the AC...they said fine. So the one important thing was the tail light and that wasn't even on Nelson's "estimate". My neighbor is not from this country and often gets taken advantage of. Shame on you, never recommending this place to anyone.UPDATE- Thank you for responding to my review so professionally. After repairing the taillight, the car was given to my niece to get inspected in NJ and passed. The AC and back brakes were checked by this garage as well as I wanted a 2nd opinion (given your estimate) , and the same result as my garage- 1/2 life on the brakes and the AC is fineMy comment was not ignorant (ignorant being defined as "not informed : unaware. ignorant of the facts"), but rather stating my concern for my friend who doesn't speak/understand the best English, and his history of being taken advantage of. If that is not what happened here and your mechanic(s) just missed something or whatever the case was, apologies. Happy Holidays.

Rob and his techs are always honest and do what needs to be done to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner. I highly recommend them for any of your auto needs. I couldn't have found a better place, if I tried. Originally stumbling across them. Open on Saturday to plug a flat. Inspection came due, I was worried exhaust problems in my experience can be very costly. Blessed I am, The atmosphere and people are down to earth but their prices are event better. and they do a great job. They have my continued support for this car as well as the next..
