Over the last few months, Chris and his team have helped me achieve my dream and build my car to perfection. I m over the moon with their performance and so impressed with their knowledge. I won t be taking any of my vehicles to anyone else. Even in hard times they preserve. The quality of work is excellent and consistent. The personal customer service is always great and they shoot you straight. I have done 90 something percent of my own auto work my whole life and as someone who is too busy to do the bigger things and still push forward with my own work, it's a big deal to trust someone else with my vehicle... They are trustworthy and amazing.. thanks y'all.

XLNT service, Marissa and team are amazing. Fixed my Subaru and put up with me calling and bothering them with much patience. Was updated regularly on cost and time. Will be using them from now on.

Took our van in for a coolant leak back in July. It was supposed to be a quick fix. We got the van back and they left the manifold in the cab of the van. From there we sent the van back two more times over the course of 7 months only to have it returned to us worse every time we got it back.So, we took our van to another shop who then confirmed that the damage done by XLNT automotive was economically not worth it to fix.Another point: all the 5 star reviews this shop has is written by the owner and his friends. They re not real reviews.I would never recommend XLNT Automotive to anyone needing car repairs. Even something as simple as a coolant leak is too much for this shop.

Ran into issues with my Chevy 3500 first thing in the morning starting it up, message popped up, check emissions, call a Chevy dealer in Bend, OR, they were booked 3 weeks out, traveled onto Redmond,OR, parked at a Walmart parking lot, as I'm pulling a stack of boat trailers to Hayden ID, went to XLNT they did what they could with my truck, changed out #1 nox sensor, couldn't get the message to clear, tried a forced re-gen, still couldn't get the message to clear, found out after using 4-different scan computers that it was a issue with the DPF fluid tank heater. He referred me to a shop in Bend to get the job done. Very knowledgeable in his assessment of the problems, and very nice rate for what he did. Thank you very much. Would highly recommend his service.

Had my car towed here around January of 2023 because of a misfire. Took it to XLNT to get diagnosed and was told that Cylinder 4 had 40lbs of compression and that a new motor was needed. Quoted me out at $7400 installed. After a year of sitting, believing that was the issue, I took the project into my own hands. After a compression test, all cylinders were firing as they should and compression numbers were normal. Had a bad coil pack that was causing the misfire. An $85 fix. Personally think this a complete joke of an auto shop and 100% will not be using them again.

Blew an engine early last year (2023). My vehicle has been sitting in their lot for over a year. They haven't taken pictures of the engine to send into the warranty company, they haven't even taken the engine apart to see what needs to be fixed on it. I've called and left multiple voicemails and no one has returned my calls. So it feels like they're dodging my calls. Zero stars for lack of timely-ness , lack of professionalism, and lack of effort. Very pissed off. Will be removing my vehicle and taking it to someone else first chance I get.

Marissa and Chris were super helpful! i lost my 4x4, they told me to bring it down on saturday and they got it all fixed and ready to pickup by noon on monday! Honest and fair, definitely recommend!

XLNT Automotive is far beyond excellence. Chris was the only shop open within all of central Oregon the day before Christmas Eve when I had come to visit my hometown for the holidays and experienced unexpected coolant leakage. We had been recommended the shop and were personally helped by Chris the shop owner the second me and my partner had arrived. Chris and Marissa didn t hesitate a second in identifying and immediately retrieving and installing a new upper radiator hose that had come loose and been cut by my belts. Chris was not only thorough in his work but pulled me to the vehicle to walk me through what he was doing and why. As parts were retrieved not a full moment went by as chris entertained us with stories and mechanical mastery. To even further illustrate there exemplary qualities while at the shop we witnessed a crazed man speed onto property and jump out of his kia and began to belligerently yell at my partner and i about the shop demanding we bring him the owner, as if we knew anything! Apparently he lived behind the shop in downtown Redmond and was yelling about the starting of an engine on one of the cars in the shop and after threatened to shut Chris down and left a looney review leaving inane false claims as far as racism (mind you claimed by a white man and only said because my partner is non-white) to ruin his business. Chris and his team are the only reason I made it back home this holiday season and not only that but left me with an amazing memory and forever customer and ambassador. Thank you XLNT

XLNT is great at serving the local community and tourists alike, many times they have come to the aid of travelers experiencing technical difficulties in their drives. They go out of their way to make it right too. Knowledgeable staff cranking out a solid stream of repairs to the best of their abilities during these supply chain challenges that everyone worldwide is experiencing. From daily maintenance to large projects like engine & transmission swaps, no job is to little or big for the guys over at XLNTThey also support and sponsor several local events in Central Oregon like Central Oregon Auto Cross, Limitless Road Rally among others!

XLNT Auto surpasses their name; I m elated with the amount of customer service, attentiveness, and skilled hard working knowledge at this shop.XLNT was the only shop open during the weekend prior to the 4th. I was experiencing phantom accelerations and basically feltlike my entire front end was thrusting forward.I arrived to his shop unannounced saying I need help .Without hesitation, Chris spent 6 hrs+ in 90 degree heat 2 days before the 4th trying to duplicate the problem.After many trial & error, it was discovered that both calipers were warped, both rotors, and break pads needed replacement. The acceleration I was feeling was normal but the vehicle was not properly or safely slowing down.Chris is highly skilled, knowledgeable and experienced in his profession. He listens to his customers, is down to earth, and transparent. He will deligently spend time with your vehicle to find the problem. He will literally do everything in his power to make sure your vehicle safe and operable again.I was so embarrassed to come into his shop completely stressed out; he used humor and knowledge to show me that everything will be ok with my truck.He continued to tell me we got this. We ll take it from here. I cannot thank you enough for all the hard work and skill you put into my truck. Thank you so much for being there to take it in without a moments notice!Chris will remain my go to mechanic from here on out.Expense was nothing and thanks to warranty assistance I only had to pay $247 dollars that will be reimbursed from Auto Kings.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto brake repair

XLNT AUTOMOTIVE can handle any job small or BIG.My truck kept breaking starters and some other issues. The guys at the shop got it all straightened out. Chris and the team had the means and the ability to transport my mega truck. Not an easy job but they handled it safely with precision on time with great attitudes. I highly recommend this team of people and shop.

I m giving them 2 stars because the prior visit I had was exceptional service and very friendly staff and had not left a review based on that.This past visit was a little different, after scheduling a follow up service to replace my oil pan gasket and a/c valve due to leaks I was told to drop my car off at 8 am for service and was told it would at most take 2 business days . The repair did in fact take two business days, but the my oil pan is now leaking more than it had prior to my visit and the A/C is not functional still (hoping it s just in need of a refill of Freon). But that s not the only problem. When I arrived from a 2 hour drive from our ranch to drop off at 8 am the office was locked up until 8:45 and even at that I went into the office with no receptionist and I waited until 9 before a mechanic came in and took my information and told me they would give me a call if they have any more questions. Around 1:30pm I received a call asking what even needed to be done on the car. This concerned me, but due to my prior experience and knowing there was still 1.5ish days left to make the repair I shrugged it off.Unfortunately I m now just left here after a $1k bill with a car that is in worse shape than it had been prior to being seen.Services: A/C installation & repair, Oil change

Late at night I had a blow out. The tire shredded and ripped my wiring harness. I was towing a trailer with my motor cycle. Took 2 tow trucks of his and close to 4hrs time. He got me to a nice hotel. The very next day the job was done. I cant say enough about how he conducts a moral business. My total cost was 375.

Excellent service! Took my 2005 Dodge Ram diesel here about a month ago with an issue the my injectors that 2 other shops weren t able to resolve. Chris and his team were able to track it down to a single broken ground wire! Now that it s had a few thousand miles on it since, it is still running like a champ. Thank you so much xlnt!

My experience with this mechanic was not only marked by subpar service but also tainted by blatant racism. The staff's discriminatory behavior was completely unacceptable. On top of that, the repairs were poorly executed, and I had to deal with the same issues shortly after. I would strongly advise against patronizing this mechanic due to both their incompetence and disgraceful conduct.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. We took our 2015 ford edge in for a water pump and timing chain in December of 2021. In November of 2022 it started making a rattling noise coming from the timing chain area, so I took it back and they said it needed cam phasers so in December 29th of 2022 we had them replace the cam phasers and vvt solenoids. On January 6th we took it back to them because the check engine light came on and it was a misfire code. They cleared the codes and I went on my way and then the check engine light came back on so I took it back on January 11th and they told me oil control valves were leaking, metal in oil and multiple engine codes including a random misfire code. They took it back apart and found a sheared pin that holds the camshaft to the crankshaft which should have been replaced with the timing chain kit. They supposedly fixed it and then I got it back and it ran worse than before so I finally had enough and took it to a different shop that actually might know what s going on with it instead of just trying to throw parts at it and charge me an arm and a leg for repairs that aren t needed. Also they have horrible communication and are not very professional. But you get what you pay for. Spend the extra few dollars and take your vehicle to a better shop.Service: Engine repair

I used to like this place a lot. The last time I came in they overfilled the oil and missed the brake maintenance on a paid full inspection. My brakes froze up and now need to replace rotors. So the brakes did need replacing. Obviously I paid them and they didn't do the inspection I paid for. That was clear even at the time as they told me no maintenance was needed and they took very little time on my car after hours of waiting past an appointment time. I could have died on the downhill and now owe a lot more for the brake repair. Also the back tires were thread bare when I brought it in for the brakes. How did they miss something so simple? They didn't. I paid for a safety inspection that wasn't done. THEY COMPLETELY FABRICATED THE REPLY. They didn't recommend any repairs. I have loads of money and wanted it all taken care of before a long trip. That's why I brought in for top notch full inspection.

How many times has XLNT Automotive saved the day on a weekend, or in a disaster?My car left me at 4 AM, right as I was leaving to Montana to catch a flight home. Thank you, Chris Kobernik , for fitting me in with no notice, patiently unpacking my entirely full car, and finding the ruptured fuel line. I guess my car didn't want to leave Oregon without saying bye to you.Chris is a real hero of the local car scene. Cannot thank him enough. If I didn't make it to Montana on Monday, I wouldn't be able to go home to Texas until October at the earliest. Massive, massive relief.

Chris and his team are amazing. My Evo was in need of some routine maintenance and at that time we also decided to do some upgrades (Cams, springs, injectors, etc). Chris's work through the whole process was top notch. He made sure the car was prepped and in full working order for the dyno and has since taken great care of it. I cannot express how grateful I am to have some an awesome shop here locally.

I ve had over 5 vehicles serviced at this location over a span of about 3 years. Everything from turbo cars to trucks and Chris has never not taken care of me to the best of his abilities. All of my experiences with Xlnt have been well, excellent. Highly recommend for all gas and diesel repairs and they even have a tow company if you re stranded. I was visiting Redmond for a dog sporting event and had just started for home Sunday when my car broke down unexpectedly. XLNT Automotive was open, so I had my Honda Ridgeline towed there, and I'm so glad I did! Their lobby was a cool, safe place for my dog and I to wait while they quickly diagnosed the alternator as the problem, got a replacement alternator and serpentine belt, charged up the battery, topped off the oil, and I was ready to go!I had been expecting to have to leave my vehicle for several days and rent a car to get home, as the 4th of July was coming up, but I was on the road again in just a few hours because they stayed late to repair it so I wasn't stranded.

Chris and his team are the best! They got my car in on New Years Eve and got me back on the road the same day. They are honest, hard workers with hearts of gold. They let me know the priority of my repairs so I didn't break my bank in one visit. They took me home and picked me up when the car was done. Did I mention this all happened on a holiday?!! I have been taking my multiple vehicles and have been referring several people here for years, BUT I NEVER WILL AGAIN. the last 3 times we have taken our vehicles here, the quality of work has been awful, and the customer service is worse. I tried to talk to the owner, but he became extremely hostile. They way overcharge now add tax when we have none and double charge for items. I don't know what has happened, but I highly recommend staying g away from them. Their new location is a nightmare as well.

I've been into XLNT Automotive multiple time with many of my vehicles and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future..The knowledge and determination combined to locate and resolve any issues has helped me through some very frustrating times. What I love about this shop is that, unlike the majority of shops, they are willing to sit down with you and explain to you the certain processes that cause things to go wrong and how they intend to resolve it. I've learned a great deal about cars over the years and continue to learn because the boys down at XLNT Automotive take the time to help you prevent further malfunctions. I drive by the shop everyday on my way to and from work and I have seen the owner himself and other employees working anywhere from 14 to 20 hour days.Hat's off to you boys, despite the exhaustion you're still putting all your blood swear and tears into making sure we have safe and reliable modes of transportation.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Transmission repair
