Would give a 0 if I could. They gave me an ETA for a tow: 30minWaited 2hrs. Called them up. And wouldn t ya know it? They forgot about me and took a job in Portland. Makes way more money, so I guess I don t blame them. A call would have been nice. At least be honest. Not wasting half a day would have been paramount to the stress and irritation they caused.Never again. If this is how they conduct business, just stay in Portland. Don t worry about coming back to Redmond. We don t need that type of dishonesty here.Called another tow company. They had me done in 45min.**the following day, Byron called me a half a dozen times to berate my insurance and tried to blame them for his lack of ability to read emails. When he realized I wouldn't answer, he resorted to nasty text messages. I finally blocked Byron and sent the messages to the police.

The most informed, knowledgeable, and all around great atmosphere to have your vehicle worked on. No other mechanic shop gives you updates on the progress of your vehicle, but Oscar s does. The pricing is great, the work is top-notch and the customer service is second to none. If your questioning as to where to take your vehicle to be diagnosed, repaired, or both, without hesitation I would choose Oscar s.

Byron was awesome and trustworthy! He helped fix my engine problem for a very reasonable price. Service was super efficient. Would highly recommend Oscar's due to there quality of service and reasonable pricing and friendliness.

They charged my daughter $46 for a thermostat, $7.99 from the parts store, and $185 to change it, then charged $543 for the cooling fan, $300 from the parts store, then the labor cost. To top it off, it was $86 for THREE gallons of coolant. They ripped her off because she didn't know any better. If I could give 0 stars I would. This is why no one trusts mechanics. They took advantage of a low income person.

We were in town for a family event when our alternator failed. It was a Saturday so finding someone to take care of it was difficult. When we called Oscar's they moved us to the front of the line and worked late to get it done. And they came in on Sunday to finish and get our back to us. The best customer service we've had in some time.

My car wouldn't start late at night. They came out and towed my car do the mechanic and then drove me home. Helpful, friendly, insightful to my needs. And, they build my insurance. They are on my permanent list of folks to contact when I need a tow!

Oscars is my recommendation for Central Oregon . The price well is fair . And communication is there . To me. That s all that matters . He offers his own towing and there pretty good at looking for parts . I have a Nissan Sentra and a classic Ford Country Squire I have them service regularly .

I was 6 hrs from home on a Sunday afternoon, had to be at work the next day, and my Jeep's ignition cylinder would not budge. Ocsar was the only mechanic in the region who would give me the time of day late in this fall weekend. AAA gave me a tow to Oscar's and he quickly assessed the situation, rigged up an ignition bypass that would get me home, showed me how to operate it, apologized for asking for $25 (I gave him $50), and sent me on my way. I made it home by 11pm and was at work the next morning. If not for Oscar, I'd surely not have been home until the following night and maybe later. Most shops would not have been willing to rig the bypass even though it was clearly what was called for in my situation. Thanks Oscar!

After being blown off two times by Chevrolet of Bend, I decided to give Oscar s auto repair a call. I explained that I needed to service my transmission and get the fluid and filter exchanged. Byron was able to get to me in in just two days. Throughout the day they kept me updated on the process via text with pictures which I found to be very informative. I just want to say that if you are ever in Redmond and having car troubles you shouldn t look anywhere else but Oscars auto repair and towing. They are exceptional people with exceptional service. I couldn t have asked for a better experience with this company. My boyfriend was recently stranded there in Redmond after getting a bad batch of gas from a gas station there. I live about 4 hours away and had to go retrieve him right before the snow storm. Byron specifically was who I spoke with the most. He exceded normal responsibilities of a mechanic shop going above and beyond to get our van back up and running. They also went and picked up my van that was towed by somebody else unintentionally and helped us locate who towed the van. Work was done in a timely manner. Our van is now running great. Thank you again for your exceptional service! They really are genuine people and genuinely care about their customers.

Got into a jam at the Fred Meyer parking lot. AAA said they could not do anything. I called Oscars and in 5 min he arrived and I was clear of the jam problem. Free no charge. Ireally like Oscars, they are friendly, fair, and hardworking. I get all my oil changes/check ups done with them. If I need any work I ll be using them for certain.

This was the best experience with auto repair I have ever received! I am on a solo road trip from Indiana and my car was so messed up I had to pull over at the only place that was open SO glad it was Oscar s. Byron checked out my car and assessed the issues. Long story short I am incredibly grateful for the work that was done to my car and the advice as well. Great customer service and communication throughout the entirety of my interaction with the shop. I am from out of state and they were able to accommodate me during my travels and fit me into their busy schedule. Called them on a Monday, was in the shop Tuesday for diagnostics and had me back Thursday for a bad clock spring fix. I highly recommend this shop.

we were in town for one night while on a road trip when our check engine light came on. of course it happened on a friday night just as every mechanic in town was closing for the weekend. our uber driver mentioned she had a great mechanic who had been working on her car for years and said they re open on saturdays. first thing saturday morning we called an hour before they opened and minutes after their mechanic byron called me back and helped us with everything we needed even though they we re actually closed for personal shop repairs that day. how s that for customer service?! we were so incredibly grateful for his time and expertise that got us right back on the road safely. we are planning to move to bend soon and oscar s auto repair will be definitely be where we bring our vehicles.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Go here! They are the best! I was looking for a place for a tune up and saw that this place was close to my work, so went. And I am so glad I did. Byron is the best, most kind and caring person I have ever witnessed at an auto repair shop. He also CARED about my car and my budget. He let me know what needed to be fixed and figured out the best and cheapest way to do it. He also didn t charge me until everything was done and good to go even though the work I needed spanned a few days where I had to take my car home and then bring it back. He was super communicative and I never felt like I was being tricked or ripped off. Also, everyone that came into the shop seemed so grateful for Oscars and the work they do there. Thank you for such an amazing experience. I will be back.

Unfortunately, I had to edit my original 5-Star Review of Oscar's for the brakes they replaced as you can only submit one google review per business.The update is to submit another 5-Star Review for their Oil Change Services. I have the unfortunate task to make a road trip to Vancouver to visit both a family member as well as a dear family friend. Both are on their final days. Despite the urgency of my trip, I also remember Oscar's is a business with numerous other customers due to their fantastic reviews.Spoke with Byron and asked how his availability looked for the next few days (this is Friday morning). I told him I need to leave by Monday afternoon and if they did not have an opening by then, I could always have it done when I returned. Byron, understanding my dilemma, was able to squeeze me in on Monday morning. I assured him I did not expect to take priority over others who are currently waiting for the completion of their auto services. I knew they would make room for my oil change as.soon as possible.Byron and Oscar will always do whatever they can to please their customers while taking care of others with quality repair work in a timely manner. I speak from experience, that is why I am a loyal and satisfied returning customer.Services: Brakes, Oil change

I have had to take my car to Oscar's after being ripped off and having a couple of other shops in town completely sabotage my vehicle. Do not go to Exelent Automotive shotty work janeric parts you will come out with more problems than you went in with. And theres Advanced Automotive. I Took both my vehicles to this shop and both came out with oil leaks and then they were trying to sell me valve cover gasket jobs. Both of my vehicles were bone dry and never leaked any thing ever. And the they did and 3 trips just get them to bleed my breaks and clutch cylinder correctly.And then finally I found Oscar's Automotive wich I have now nick named the (CLEANERS) LOL! Because I have taken my vehicles to this shop to clean up all the shotty and janeric work from all the other shops That I've been to in town. They have sence done many different jobs with out a hitch or any issues. This shop is flexible and copassionate professional and theres a sense of genuine relationships building here and Byron is an excellent Customer service Manager who is sensible and understanding. I will not go to another auto shop unless I absolutely have to. Otherwise this is my new CLEANERS / Automotive Shop from now on. The previous mechanic that worked on my overheating car charged me for a new thermostat . Once my car kept overheating I replaced the radiator too. Still having problems.. I took it to Oscars and they confirmed the thermostat was never replaced to begin with! They not only took pictures to prove it but gave me the original new thermostat so I can go back to the first mechanic and get my money back!Service: Auto exhaust system repair

Purchasing an older vehicle, it had a couple cylinders misfiring. Oscar's quickly diagnosed the issue and corrected it. The 2005 ACURA MDX runs quiet and smooth. They also diagnosed things to look out for and plan in the future. Oscar's will be getting my future business as things progress. They use high-quality parts and are straight-forward & trustworthy. My wife and I both have full time jobs, home school our four children and have numerous after school activities that keep our schedules packed. We have used Oscar's as our mechanics twice now and each time things went perfect. We received a quick quote (which was accurate and not increased at the time of payment). We also received prompt service. Oscar's does a great job of monitoring workflow and we received our vehicle back when we were told (or earlier). The level of transparency is refreshing! I was shown concerns and problems. I was also show each and every failed part that came off the vehicle with an explanation of the failure. I was given a quote in August 2021...I needed to save for the job and at the time of the work being done February 2022 it was for the same quoted price. I was surprised to not hear a story about prices increasing...which they likely had. Instead, they honored the quote without a single question, preformed the job and returned my vehicle a day after drop off. There are bigger mechanic shops out there...with fancier signage and polished floors etc. Oscar's shines with its amazing service and transparent honesty. Its refreshing. Oscar's has had the best turn over rates out of any service I've used. They're fast, affordable and do their best to help with much of any problem that has rolled into their shop. I've been in a to replace my windshield, for clogged fuel injectors, diagnostics and electrical problems. My girlfriend had to be at work in the morning after being towed in. They ended up staying late so she could pick it up, on the same day she brought it in. They don't beat around the bush; they're extremely transparent about the work they'll preform, and informed me what may have caused the problem, where it could have started and what preventative maintenance would help to keep my beater car running. I've limped to oscars, but my girlfriend has been towed through their towing service. Insurance paid for it, and they were quick to help! Every time I've been to oscars they've been extremely helpful, kind, communicative and have been able to answer every question I've had. It's hard to find a mechanic that isn't scheduled out 2-3 months, and Oscars has always been reliably available. It's hard to find shops that can churn out work while also being pretty darn good at what they do. Plus they're right by a place that sells burrito burgers. I went to Oscar's Auto for the first time a few weeks ago for a brake pad replacement. After going to a different mechanic for the past couple of years, I decided to try Oscar's since it appeared their hours worked better with my work schedule. I called on a Thursday and they were so friendly and accommodating, they were able to get my car in the very next day! I was expecting my car to have to be in the shop overnight, but they were able to complete the replacement in less than a couple hours! I definitely will be switching mechanics to Oscar's Auto, and I very much appreciate their great work and exceptional customer service! Thanks, again!Service: Brakes

My 1994 contour died at Smith Rock, just pouring out coolant. I live 2 hours away, and was trying to find a place to have it towed. Oscar's had great reviews online, and more importantly, answered their phone when I was trying to figure out what to do. Oscar and Byron were super helpful and informative, and able to make things work on my older vehicle within a couple days. I have had a couple other problems with this vehicle recently that took days to fix, so the timeline of getting this car back on the road made me so happy! It has been at least 2 week's, and the car has been running great!! They are a busy shop (where isn't?), but it seems like things get done there!! Thanks guys
