Sloppy work, confusing explanations, and an overall feeling of getting fleeced. And all at a premium price too. I just spent $850 to get a part replaced, oil change and new battery. After getting home I notice no oil change reminder sticker and a rattling sound from the engine block. Found a bottle of oil in my engine- looks like it was used to catch the drips from the filter - and was never removed. They also failed to simply brush off the leaves from the air filter - something that comes standard elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere- this shop is going downhill and no one in charge seems to care.

I love Toyota of Portland, from sales to service and all other parts of this dealership-My experience has been great! Purchased a new tundra, and the sales folks were great. The service department is great too! All around good spot!

We had an appointment to look over our new Toyota vehicle (which we purchased at Broadway Toyota; wonderful experience there by the way), and when we arrived, we were told our 2-hour appointment would be 4 hours ("staffing issues") - they were 'supposed to call us' but it didn't happen; the greeter said "it is what it is" - wow. We live 20+ miles away, a simple phone call would have prevented this frustration, and we will certainly consider other Toyota dealers in the future.

I requested replacement of my TPMS sensors and they quoted ~1k for all four. Many others quoted half that and Affordable tire did it for $360.

When I bought my car I was sold by a number of additional services that just made life a little easier. One of those was that no matter how long the regular service took I could get a ride subsidized by the dealership back to my house. We are a one car family and this was a big deal. My understanding from the service folks is that management didn't wanna pay as much for that service and have started withdrawing support. Pretty disappointed that I'm paying for a service that's getting harder to use because the people I bought my car from wanna save money. That's bad service IMO.

Just worked with Rouaa Alameri in the finance department. She is fabulous! Friendly, professional, very efficient, not pushy about extra or unnecessary warranties, yet I purchased some that made sense. She is an absolute pleasure to work with!!!

Had a car brought in for a pre-purchase inspection. I had to call 4 times to speak with my service advisor to request pictures of the underside of the car. He agreed, called me back an hour later saying it was done but didn t take pictures. I insisted on getting pictures and he said I was really pulling teeth and was grumpy for the rest of our interactions. Won t be bringing my vehicles here anytime soon.

I don t understand what is going on here and whoever is in charge needs to correctly manage their employees. I took my car in for an oil change. I was told I didn t need one before they took a look at my car, which I had never brought in before. They then proceeded to sell me on various services before even checking my car. Later on, I was called by Mark to tell me that I did in face need an oil change, great. It s what I wanted. Upon arrival to pick up my car, Mark was unorganized and appeared to have no idea about what was going on in his shop, it took another employee pointing out my presence for him to acknowledge me and check me out. Ended up paying over $400 for my oil change and other basic services they recommended.

I go here all the time since purchasing me Tacoma (2019) and the service is always good and done pretty quickly. It s a very busy spot so I recommend making an appointment but they offer drop offs too you just will wait a while for your vehicle. Only down side is they will always let you know that you need more service than necessary but that seems to be the norm with these revenue driving auto dealer service centers.

I have bought two cars here and serviced them both the whole time. The service has really slipped. It s understandable that it takes longer because of fewer employees, but there is zero communication. The last two times there have been no updates on the progress and the last time my car was ready the same day, yet had to come into the dealership 3 days later to find out. I ll be finding another dealer going forward.

After seeing the reviews of the service center I was apprehensive about taking my car in for an oil change and to get inspected. The technician apparently removed an animal nest from my cabin air filter, but now my A/C rattles very loud and does not work as well as it did before. Also I was adamantly recommended 3rd Party financing for non-critical repairs probably totalling more than my car is worth. Not very honest services in my opinion since I asked to have my car checked out for a long road trip. If your car is not newer and covered under warranty I would recommend a smaller shop.

Thank you Nick N., you were an exceptionally pleasant person to interact with. You made an anxiety inducing time less anxiety inducing. I came in because my car wouldn t start and you looked at it immediately, diagnosed and fixed it within a couple hours. The best part was that you were friendly. I would definitely come back here for car maintenance.

I don t enjoy this, but want to warn others about this place. I would avoid Toyota of Portland Service completely if you want a decent experience. Their communication is terrible, their wait times are far too long, and the customer service is unhelpful. Why does it take several hours to get a simple oil change? One time they said they needed to keep our car over night which is ridiculous. My partner and I drive the extra distance to go to elsewhere now cause we ve been let down by this place too many times.

I don't recommend this place. I was told it would take 1-2 hours for my scheduled oil change and I ended up waiting over 5 hours. Once the service advisor told me the technician was finishing up, it took over another hour. There was also a lady that was promised a $100 discount. When she came in to get her car, she had a $49.95 coupon. She was told they would honor the $49.95 coupon but not the $100 discount. After she complained, the manager said they would honor the discount and take the $100 out of the service providers check. What a scam. Multi-million dollar business takes money out of the hourly employee's pocket. Also, the manager was smug and condescending.A lot of employees standing around doing nothing. 0 sense of urgency and 0 customer service.I've been to a lot of Toyota service centers across the country and this was by far the worst experience.Service: General repairs & maintenance

After reading the reviews I am a bit nervous over taking my car in for it's first service by appointment and now 3 days later I might not even get it back by the weekend. Not what I want to hear when I only have 1 car and 3 kids to transport. I think I will be looking at other alternatives in the future. They should definitely be keeping the owners updated on progress.

Do not recommend. Left my car for recall service at 7 am and was told it would be completed before closing. Called to check in at 5 pm and they said it will be ready. Never received a call back and did not get my car back.Service: Auto maintenanceService: Auto maintenance

If you are looking for vehicle service, don t waste your time with Toyota of Portland, they are impossible to contact. I made a service appointment online, but noticed I didn t review a follow up confirmation by email or text which had me concerned that the appointment wasn t scheduled properly. I called the number on the website to try and confirm my appointment and eventually ended up at an overflow call center. They said all they could do was take my info and pass it along and I would get a call back confirming my appointment. Days go by and I hadn t heard back so I call once again and again reach the call center. I explain the situation and was assured my info/situation was passed along to management to ensure I got a call back. Once again, I never heard back. I decided to take my business to another Toyota dealership in the area.

Took it in for an oil change, they said i needed $1000 of other preventative maintenance services, I said okay, I might as well get those done too. Fast forward to my next oil change I discover that they had never replaced my oil on the previous service. The service tech said no, we just did a multipoint inspection and rotated the tires . -I got upset and took the car to an oil can henry instead. The service tech at oil can said that the amount of condensation build up in the oil on my 30k 4Runner is something they only see in older cars with 200k+ miles -Toyotas fault for charging for me a service they never performed, and then actually changing my window sticker like they did it. I m furious

It was easy to make an appointment. The employee on the phone even told me I need not find a ride because they should be able to fix it in a day. When I arrived, I was told it would be a 4-5 day wait for a diagnostic. So mean....

Brought my truck here for years as it s the closest to my house. Biggest gripe is that nobody ever wants to help when you come to pick up your vehicle. They ll let you stand there for 30 minutes without eye contact as they re working. You have to interrupt and stop them to get help. Always think it s a one off and then it happens the next time (every single time).

I am going to keep coming back to this dealership to get all my cars! I worked Alejandro in sales. Listened to me and heard everything I was concerned about and really walked me through this process amazingly! I got approved with even not the perfect credit he worked hard as well as the rest of the team to help me get into a car. I would trust this man.

I paid for a 3 year warranty for a used certified car and had a unexpected parking brake malfunction within 3 months of owning the car. Took the car in to get it inspected and was and was handed a $400 dollar bill here stating it was due to sticky residue and it was the customers fault. I owned the car for 3 months and learned the hard way my warranty I purchased was worthless.I called and told them i could just do the service myself as the part was less than $100 and the procedure was not complicated and they mentioned it they would charge $200 for a diagnostic fee. This place is an absolute scam and I am already regretting doing business with Toyota. I'll be sure not to come back in the future as I can run my own diagnostic tests and replace my own parts and for several hundreds of dollars.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection

Having a scheduled appointment means what? Upon arrival 3-4 hour wait. My service advisor, Emily M, was very friendly and attentive to my car s progress. She made sure I had transportation to the local area if I needed to wait somewhere else and offered some local business.

Totally disappointed with this Toyota of Portland Service. In my honest opinion, the dealership itself is totally okay, but the service just disappoints me so bad that I decided to do my business in another Toyota Service even though I bought my car in this dealership.Long story short, I came with a problem regarding my car and paid for a service to fix the problem. When the service was done, I noticed that this problem of the car was still there (okay, maybe not as bad as it was before, but it is still there). I tried to put my trust on them at first, so I wanted to test the car first before complain about anything. However, after I used it for about a month, I still noticed that the exact same problem is still there and so I called and address this problem, as well as reminding them that I did this service with them a month ago and paid for it.Interestingly, the very first thing that they address back to me regarding my story, is about how I already use the car for a month, so it is not their responsibility anymore and since it is already a month after the service that I did, I can bring my car back and maybe do another service.....I mean...... I understand that I used it for a month; but I already explain as well that I didn t use it for too much and I really did not notice any other small or big accident that happen to the car within that one month. EVEN if there was (and it is totally a big IF), your response as a big dealership service was to told me that the service was already over a month ago and so it will be kinda a new case ? How about your responsibility regarding the service that I PAID before then?I rarely write a review on anything, but this is just really disappointing action from such a big dealership. It s a big disappointment to see that what you care about is totally not about service .I don t know if you will ever care about this review as well, but if you so, then Thank you.I don t mean bad, but totally disappointed.

On a good day the service is still only 3 stars but, after calling and leaving vm s to ask about a wrench light that had come on in my car (right after oil change and tune up) and getting no response, my review drops to 2.I finally drove the car in, explained the situation and waited for the light to be cleared. Everyone is busy and short staffed but if you want 5 stars, make more effort.

This is my favorite place to take my Toyota in the Portland area because I feel they do a good job. They also sometimes send me coupons for a free or greatly reduced price oil change, including their 21 point inspection. They are honest and don't try to sell you parts or service that your vehicle doesn't need.

I had to provide an update of Toyota's service department after receiving exemplary service today...James is on top of his game & Jordan was tuned in & both never stopped moving! James kept in communication, tracked down a part that was difficult to locate & went above & beyond. This guy should be leading your service team as well as providing customer training skills to some of the other employees - his skills are impeccable, seriously!! Additionally, Jordan was moving the entire time - helping customers, communicating to the long line of us waiting & he never stopped once to talk, hang out or stand around - he was always helping in some fashion.I saw many other employees talking, hanging out & gathered in groups - while many customers were waiting in line. Not a good look for service providers. It seemed a certain few were very entitled - as if they didn't have to help?? You could definitely tell who was providing services. Jordan & James are truly assests to this department & company. I hope they are acknowledged for their customer service skills, exceptional work ethic & paid according to their outstanding job performance skills. These guys care about doing a good job & it is visually obvious! If you are able, I would - hands down - recommend James & Jordan to help you for any services you seek here. They set the standard that the other employees should, at least, try to attain. These two employees make Toyota of Portland look better!

Had an appt, took 3 hrs to get oil changed. They said they were going to rotate tires but they didn't. The employees are super nice so Im conflicted about leaving a poor or even neutral review.

Negative experience all around from the initial purchase of the car to the service dept.I've experienced a 3+ hour wait for an oil change (with an appointment); they left the cap off of the oil tank before a 9 hour road-trip; was called by them b/c I was due for an oil change-only to arrive and be told that the car was not yet due(at least they were honest); I called to schedule service being told no "appointment needed to just come in before 4pm" only to be turned away b/c the "in house call center" was not on the same page as the shop. This is over several years-there are clear ongoing issues here that aren't being addressed- it seems mostly w/intercompany communication/what is acceptable workplace culture. As a woman buying a car it was the opposite of an empowering expeirence. As far as the car purchase I felt like the attitude was that I had to shop with them b/c they knew I wanted a Prius. They wouldn't negotite the price, would not let me keep my old plate, promised me a trunk cover but told me they would deal w/it later (after I signed/paid), this turned out to mean offering to sell me one for $250 if an "extra" turned up-takcy!Once they get your money they do not care, they barely act like they care before you get your money. This was my first car from them and it's most definately my last.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change
