They did amazing work on an insurance repair, it felt like I had a new car! Then almost a year later when the headlight failed, Grant contacted their parts supplier, got me a new one under warranty and replaced it for me without charge! The dedication, professionalism and standard of care can t be beat. It s way out of my way but I won t use another body shop!

Mackin s did such a great job with my car after a recent accident. I find the process of dealing with car insurance really stressful, especially as I haven t had to navigate this before. They were so helpful with making things as easy as they possibly could for me and my car looks great. I got lots of updates along the way and they even sent someone to pick up my partner to come get the car when it was done. Thank you! Will definitely come here again if I ever need more auto body work (hopefully not !!)

I was involved in a minor fender bender and one of the Auto-Body Shops recommended to me by my Insurance company was Mackin s. The overall cost was extremely reasonable and the level of customer service and communication I received throughout my transaction far exceeded all expectations!My car looks beautiful and I am very pleased.I highly recommend Mackin s to anyone looking for a true bang for your buck!

I called Mackin s for some body damage following an accident and they got me a quote quickly and pretty much took care of everything through my insurance including rental car set up. Jonathan was great at keeping me up to date. The work took longer than either of us expected due to part delays and unexpected damage, but I was made aware of everything that was happening along the way. Crystal and Liz at the front desk were always extremely friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. I appreciate Mackin s for getting my car back to me in one piece, you could never tell it was in an accident.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Me and my boyfriend came looking to see how much it was going to be through our insurance to get our car fixed. Even through our car was considered totaled today the staff was very helpful. They answered all our questions in a timely matter. Professional friendly business !

Mackin's repaired my car after a hit and run driver took out the side of it. Their service and communication was excellent! The workman ship is excellent. I picked my car up earlier than expected and was able to drop my rental car there and they took care of getting it returned. Last week I woke up to a flat tire- I tried really hard to put the donut on myself but was unsuccessful. I called the nearest mechanic which happened to be Mackin's, hoping they could help me, and they so did. They sent an awesome young man out who changed my tire and sent me on my way just out of kindness. I realized in my fluster I never even asked for his name, but I called the shop back to describe him and the gent on the phone said he believed it was Gavin. If so, Gavin was kind, professional, quick, and reminded me there's still kindness out there. I'm sorry it took me over a week to write this review in, please know I am very grateful for your help. Makins is just down the street from my house, but even if they weren't, I would still drive across town to use them as they provide an amazing level of service. Our family has used them for 4 different collision repairs over the last 8 years and every experience has been great. After our last repair I was supposed to pick up a part, but didn't realize they closed early on Friday and wasn't going to make it, but then my awesome service writer Nathaniel actually dropped it off at my house as he was leaving work. Can't recommend Makin's more!!

I am very particular about my car, and I cannot recommend this place enough.I had to have the hood of my crosstrek completely replaced. It was projected to take two weeks and they got it done in less than a week and a half. They used all OEM parts and paint and the job was done perfectly. Their team is super responsive and provided frequent updates via text and phone calls. When I went to pick it up, the entire outside and inside of my car was cleaned, vacuumed, and detailed. I felt like I was driving my car off of the lot.I really appreciate this place. They took what is normally a stressful ordeal and made it a fantastic experience. I brought my car to Mackin's North after my car was involved in a hit-and-run. The whole staff was helpful, professional, and knowledgable. John and Tim, specifically, offered above and beyond service and work. They were communicative, honest, and genuine in their work, progress, and abilities. I felt respected and comfortable working with them. I cannot thank them enough for all their hard work (staying late to finish!) and help with the insurance company and tire services (called Les Swab for me to get an appointment ASAP). Smashed up the underside of my 4Runner pretty good while off-roading. Needed the whole exhaust system, skid plates, frame crossmembers, radiator and AC condenser replaced. Communication was great and they finished on time or ahead of schedule considering the back and forth with Toyota at the finish line. Rig was pretty muddy inside and out. They took care of everything. Picked up and the truck was detailed inside and out. Looked like new. Thank you. Hope I never see them again but if I need a body shop I m not going anywhere else.Services: Exhaust, Wheel alignment, Welding

A Penske/Atlas van backed into my car while at a job site. I had to file a claim and was recommended Mackin for an estimate. The guy that did it immediately made it clear that he did not want to look at my car and absolutely would not be able to do any work or repairs. Evidently my work truck is not fancy enough for them to even look at. He begrudgingly did a quick estimate all while telling me my car basically sucked. I get the estimate to the insurance company but after a month I m asked to get another as the person at Mackins will not return the call after multiple messages and attempts. I would not use or recommend this place to anyone.

Tremendous customer service! Jonathan Farley stepped up amidst a incredibly busy day to knock out an estimate and get things set up with the insurance company. Considering how busy auto body shops are this time of year, and with the supply chain issues still going on, it was refreshing to have some one step up and find a way to get things expedited. My experience is that this company does poor quality work. This company drops the ball and places blame elsewhere. This company lied to me regarding parts ordering and repair work. They did not do work they billed the insurance company for.I'm still having issues with the truck they "repaired". They did not complete the work that they billed for. They damaged two parts while doing the repairs then denied they damaged it. They ultimately had to fix them but not after a dispute.I would run far and fast from this company. They do not deserve even one star.Service: Body & Trim

Great local place! One of the guys, Shad, overheard my comments to the scheduler and stepped out to look at my truck. It was a small specific job and I was scheduled right away. Great communication with texts to update on the work. They even helped coordinate taking me back home after I dropped off my car, thank you so much! Plus my truck looks awesome now!

When I pulled up to Mackin s I was unsure as to what to expect however I was greeted by Mr. Jonathan Farley who was very professional, honest and yet friendly. He gave me great advice both professional and personal opinion he was quick to the point and was willing to answer all my questions that I had for him.If anybody needs an estimate or body work done they will do a great job.Paris

Wife had a small accident and had to get car repaired, Mackins did a great job on the repair and clean up, couldn t even tell the car was in an accident. Very impressed and loved the service. The crew was polite , respectful, and kept me informed during the process. The finished on the time the said and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great quality work with a company that does what they say they will do. Mackin s did a fantastic job on my car. Mark was my technician and was very thorough and kept me up to date on everything he did. I appreciated being kept in the loop. When I first took my car in, Mark walked me through everything that needed to be done. They also had the rental car company bring me a car and I was able to drop it off there when I got my car back. Great customer service. Best of all is my car looks like nothing ever happened! Excellent!

Extremely fast turnaround time, (when they called me I thought they were calling to give me an estimate on timeframe but my car was already ready to be picked up!) friendly staff, super easy rental car transaction. Beautiful repair work, and my car was immaculate inside & out when I picked it up. 10/10 would definitely recommend and will use them for any future repairs.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Mackin's was awesome! I was referred to them through an insurance claim and they were one of the nearest shops to my house. They were prompt with getting my car in for an estimate and in for repair. I absolutely LOVE that they text updates every Tuesday and Thursday and they had my car done in one work week! My car was clean on the inside and out upon return, which was a nice surprise. The rental process was seamless as they have a have a contract with Enterprise. Will definitely be headed back if I have any car troubles in the future!

I was referred to Mackin by my insurance after I was in a car accident. I worked with John Farley and when I first met him he managed my expectations by letting me know that unfortunately getting parts at this time is a really long process. I didn t necessarily want to hear what he had to say and I appreciate that he was letting me know it was going to be a long time before I could get my car worked on. When they finish my car I got it home and my battery had died and I was pretty frustrated with them. I emailed, called them and was able to talk to John by phone. I was certainly escalated in my emotions and he was able to not only de-escalate me, he was able to make a home visit after hours to make sure that my car was running. Thank you John for your above and beyond work ethic!Service: Body & Trim

I have gone to Mackin several times over the past 20 years. Every experience has been awesome! This time was extremely warm and personable. Mark and his team not only fixed my truck but they also cleaned what hadn't been moved, washed, touched since March! I was so excited about the service and the wash that I almost screamed when I saw they had cleaned the inside as well!! I was really grateful as I was about to head to the nearest car wash place. Thank you guys for the service and the kindness. See ya next time.. But not too soon!

I worked with Mark at Mackin's and had the best service and experience possible. They called regularly about updates, worked with my insurance, and did a great repair and well within the timeline they estimated - my car is good as new after being rear-ended while stopped at a light. Plus they gave me back my car way cleaner than I left it - inside and outside. There was a small tweak needed after the repair, and they fixed it in under an hour. Hopefully no more accidents and my car won't ever need repairs again, but if it does I will return to Mackin's, and I will recommend it to my friends and family as well. A week ago I wrote a review on this location. I was irritated to say the least. The next day the GM of Mackin s contacted me about my experience. The result is, they took my car into another facility and the people there did an amazing job. The car looks great. I still will not go back to the N. Denver location and the review of my experience stands. Thanks to the great people at The NE 65th location my car is right. They know customer service.

These guys are amazing!!!! My driver side window was stuck down the day before Christmas Eve (and it started snowing). These guys were the only place open and offered to help! They got the window up and taped in place then told me to come back when I got the motor and they installed it!!!! Definitely recommend this place!!!

I recently experienced my first accident after 26 years of driving. My head was spinning as I had absolutely no idea how to navigate insurance or choose a trusted location for my car repairs. I found Mackin's in a Google search. They had good reviews and they were one of the providers who were approved by the insurance company, so I decided to give them a try and I'm so glad I did.John helped me from start to finish. I spoke with him about my concerns that the insurance company was going to total my practically flawless and barely used car simply because it was a 2003 and explained to him that this was the first car I had owned that didn't already come with body damage or other problems. I had worked so hard at my 3 jobs to save enough to buy it less than a year ago and the one good car I had ever had was then side swiped by a guy who wasn't paying attention on a one way road. I was super bummed and it was just confirmation of that feeling that is always chasing me - the few things that I have after grinding away at 3 jobs every week can be taken away in a second and all of that hard work will have been for nothing. Just another unjust reality of our current state of affairs for the average working class person.John understood my concerns and assured me that he would do everything he could to keep the cost down. I had no choice but to trust him and he did not disappoint. It took a couple of months to get my car in for an appointment (not a problem, it still worked) and about 2.5 weeks to get it fixed, so when I arrived to pick it up, I was relieved that it looked so amazing. I didn't walk away feeling like all of that time waiting ended in disappointment and more stress. John followed through on his promise to do all he could to keep the cost down and it is because of his efforts that I was able to walk away with my car without the insurance company totaling it. He managed to deliver what looks to be A+ results after scouring for quality used parts (under warranty!) and also kindly applying as many discounts as he could along the way to make sure I drove away with my car. I'm not sure I can adequately express the impacts that his efforts have on my life - from avoiding the mental anguish of dealing with an unjust insurance system to saving me from another tireless car search in this insane economy to restoring a little bit of hope for humanity. Simply put, I absolutely would not have found another car with the value that my current car has, and that would have really put a choke hold on my life in a multitude of ways.I can't fail to mention that John also made the process practically effortless for me by arranging for an agent from Enterprise Rental Cars to pick me up from Mackin's and take me to my rental car. I was also able to leave my rental car with Mackin's when I arrived today to pick up my Toyota. From beginning to end, they handled all of the details and dealt with the insurance company. I felt like every effort was made to make this experience as positive and painless as it could have been - they even sent updates via text to let me know where my car was in the process. I appreciate John (he is my hero right now, actually) and I will absolutely refer anybody to Mackin's in North Portland.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Both men that I had contact with at this Gresham location were rude and didn't have a clue about customer service and forgot the Golden Rule completely; I will not only NOT return here, but will share my awful experience with others. Sorry you couldn't just be nicer!

I've been to Mackin's two times now. I went back because I had a very good experience the first time AND they are only one block away from my house. So double win for me. The employees are nice. They explain things well without intimidating you. They are very efficient. I really like that they send you updates via text message or email on the progress of your repair. They also gave my car a complimentary wash & interior vacuum. I also value that they are local and have been around for a long time.
