Awesome service and really friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable and their team is very helpful. I appreciate their fast turnaround each time. Crystal has been helping me every time I've needed to make small updates to my car.

Ben Morris is a great guy.. dude got humor and is super friendly. I was struggling with this vibration sound and wobble with my vehicle and he spend his time to come up with a great suggestion and advice. A+++ Ben Morris deserve a bonus.

I ran over a screw and tried to plug it myself, after 3 failed attempts, I knew I would need some professional help.I scheduled an appointment at Firestone on canyon knowing that the screw was easily repairable by taking the tire off and patching from the inside. Upon arrival, the man promptly told me that they wouldn t touch my tire, I still don t quite understand what the reasoning was besides the poorly framed liability argument Disappointed, I called Dufresnes Auto where Preston promptly pointed me towards Point S Pit Stop. I showed up and was warmly greeted and told to pull my car up front. Right then and there they jacked up my car, and removed the wheel from the tire. The patch was done in 10 minutes. I would ve happily paid 50 dollars for the service but they refused to take a dollar. I left knowing I was in good hands as I watched the tech use a torque wrench when putting my wheel back on.I am so impressed with this place and will certainly be back for any car needs. I can tell these guys aren t just trying to sell me a new set of tires. They genuinely know what they re doing and want to attract customers through their quality of work.I can t recommend or thank Point S enough!

I visited today due to a tire pressure issue. They responded brightly and kindly and quickly removed sharp wires stuck in the tire. When I visited another place two days ago, they only recommended changing the tires, saying it was due to a change in weather, but did not check properly. I would come back again not only for tire issues but also for other issues. This place is really, really the best :)

Ben is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain findings and listen to concerns. He s great at picking up on his customers wants and needs and does not overstep the recommendations. Highly recommend point S for all your tire needs as he s gone above and beyond expectations, even fitting me in last minute to swap my winter tires on.

Ben and his team were excellent. They provided top notch advice for the current problems we were having with our RAV4 as well as what we should monitor to keep our car running well and maintain our peace of mind. They ended up taking care of what turned out to be minor problems at no charge. We'll definitely be bringing our car back in the near future for tires and maintenance.Just brought our car back to Point S for a tune up and purchase of all-weather snow tires. Point S was outstanding in their service of the vehicle as well as listening and suggestions. Highly recommend Point S.

I couldn't have been more pleased when I dropped in to Gill's Point s tire and auto ( the one at the Southwest corner of Murray Boulevard and Route 26) with my utility trailer tire that had lost all its a i r. I had taken the tire off the trailer that I was using to haul away Fallen branches and I had to get either the tire fixed or replaced. I happen to come at lunch time for the mechanics so Ben at the front desk was the only person there. But this was my good fortune as Ben offered the great favor of testing the tire for leaks so a decision could be made on how to proceed. Mind you this is the well-dressed guy in the office offering to get his hands and probably clothes dirty checking the tire out! This did not deter him for a second. Of course as luck would have it the job was messier than usual isn't that the tire had partially come off the rim and that he needed an explosive gas to reset the tire on the rim. During his work he made the critical observation that the valve looked loose. So he immediately replaced that for free as I found out later, and the tire checked out okay. I couldn't be happier or more impressed with the effort that Ben applied to this. He wouldn't take any money for the work so I promised him that when this tire went bad I would buy the replacement from him.I never had an experience like this before at a tire store and this just became my tire store for the future. It's local businesses like this that we need to support!

Real honest mechanics, they consistently charge me less than most of the mechanics in the area. I very much appreciate these guys, I would recommend them to anyone. Super helpful as well, I've called them with questions and they've saved me a ton beyond even the mechanic work in advice. That's the kind of thing that builds lifelong relationships

Nothing but good things to say about this Gills location. Got a good recommendation on new tires for my Durango, so i bought em. They were very busy but managed to get my install done. I dont know about the other Gills closer to wear i live in sw portland but this one is staffed by a trustworthy and competent team.

Gills Piont S was able to get our two cars in right away, no apointment needed, to patch flat tires (due to nails/screws) and get us back on the road quickly. The service manager was very professional, provided great customer service, and the work was quality. This is our new spot for tires.

They provide excellent customer service. One of my tire got nailed and I walked in to their store for help. They take care my tire within 30 min. Such a life saver:) Now I can go to work still on time. Thanks for their excellent service. I am very pleased.

I ordered 16" wheels and tires to be put on a van I had purchased. When I arrived from Alaska to have them installed, on a Friday afternoon, they didn't fit. This was a huge problem for me, as I was driving back to Alaska, and desperately needed new tires. Ben located 10-ply tires that would fit the 17" wheels, offered to drive 3 hours round trip to get them, and then opened the shop on a Saturday, when he could have been out doing something much more fun on his day off, just to meet my short timeline. I was totally blown away by the level of service. Just outstanding. Many thanks. I can't recommend this tire shop enough!

These guys are great! Blew a tire on I-5 at 3:50pm on the way out of town for a vacation. I called the Sunset Gill Point S, and they said to come on over even though they were closing at 5pm and didn't have the correct tire at their location. By the time I put the spare on and drove over, it was 4:50pm, but in the mean time they had driven to another shop to get the correct tire. Then they stayed open late to get the new tire on and get me back on the road. Because I had purchased the warranty, the whole thing was free, except for $26 to re-purchase the warranty.

I just bought two tires from this location (Gills Point S at Sunset) and it was overall a great experience. I brought my rig in on short notice and Ben and his crew were able to help me out. Very professional and courteous. Will definitely return.

Gill's Point provided excellent customer service, and I wasn't even a customer. The check engine light and traction control lights came on in my vehicle while I was driving down Hwy 26. A few years back the same set of lights came on right before I had a ball joint failure, which caused my wheel to detach from the axle. So I was concerned to see the same set of lights again while driving on the highway. I took the first exit and then pulled into the nearest parking lot. Unbeknownst to me I pulled into Gills Point S Tire & Auto's parking lot. I got out and started inspecting my vehicle's wheel wells looking for signs of damage. Then a Gill Point employee named Ben came out and asked if everything was OK, even though Gills Point was closed at the time. I explained the situation and he went inside to get his vehicle error code reader. He ran the codes and we determined the error was simply a loose gas cap from a careless gas station attendant. Ben didn't ask for anything in return, he was just being friendly and helpful. Based on that experience I would recommend anyone take their vehicle to Gills Point for auto repairs.

Well, the truth is I don't plan to go back there, I went for a flat tire, obviously it was an emergency and they just told me that they didn't have space until after 3 pm and I went at 9 am, I understand that they could be busy but come on just a flat tire how long could it take for that so I went to tires les schwab and they took care of me right away and they were busy too and it took them 30 minutes to get my car ready that's first class service and Tires Les Schwab guys saved my day, thanks Tires Les Schwab.

I went to Les Schwab for tires and alignment, and they sold me tires and mounted them but said I would have to pay $2300 to get an alignment done. They said I needed new struts and control arms and that my subframe was shifted. They basically wanted to rebuild the entire suspension. Said they couldn't do an alignment without that. I felt like they should have at least called and told me this before mounting the new tires since they will wear out fast without an alignment.I took it to my mechanic (kevorks, highly recommended) for a second opinion, and while he doesn't do alignments, he could tell me the subframe wasn't shifted and the only issue he could see is the bad control arm.I then went here to Gills Point S and didn't tell them any of this. Just need an alignment. They correctly identified what needed replacing and nothing more. Very fair and honest, they even gave me a ride to and from. I can't recommend these guys enough.

I came in like a bull in a china shop with a punctured tire. Ben, the manager, was super busy but told me if I brought my car back in an hour he'd squeeze me in. I did and he did. He wouldn't even charge me despite my insistence that he do so. This is the kind of customer service that will keep me coming back. I never write reviews but I felt compelled to given the fact that these guys went above and beyond. Give them a shot. If your experience is anything like mine, you'll be glad you did! Thanks Ben!

I am super impressed with the service I received from the shop! Ben went above and beyond to assist me as I was having a bad experience with the dealership, not thoroughly inspecting my brakes, and very hard to get a hold of the dealership while charging very high prices. I was able to get a lower price and custom service.

We have been going to this tire shop for more than a decade since it used to be the tire factory, it is one of the best tire shops in town, they provide options from economy to high end brands, there is coffee and cold water while you wait for the tire replacement. Staff are all friendly and helpful, once you choose your tires or brakes the replacement process is speedy you can wait at sitting area or take off and back later. The new ownership is just as great as previous one, we always recommend this place to friends and family. They use advanced equipment to balance the wheels and you will notice it when you drive on the road as there is no vibration to your vehicle even at higher speed thanks to perfect wheel balancing done by their master mechanics.

These guys are legit! I only picked them because they were closest to my house and I needed my tire repaired after hitting a pothole on West Burnside. I called, got an appointment for the next day, and they were able to look at my tire and tell me right away they couldn't repair it--which I suspected was the case. Fortunately, my tires (purchased through TireRack.com) were less than 6mo old so I still had a 2-yr Road Hazard warranty on them and could get the tire replacement covered. These guys were totally cool about me bringing in my own tire instead of buying from them there, which I did not expect. I made an appointment for the following week, and they had me in and out in under 30 min. SUPER nice guys, really responsive, and I will 100% buy from them next time I need new tires!!! Highly recommend. Just call ahead to make an appointment because they get pretty busy if you just do walk-in.

New Review: Went in without an appointment and they were able to squeeze me in at a very reasonable rate for swapping rims and tires out for a whole new set. They were clear, quick, and competent. Extremely friendly and hardworking. I am glad that with the new ownership the legend of Sunset Tire Factory continues.Old Review, 4 years ago: Great people. Honest, hardworking and friendly.

I went in with a front end wobble at about 60-70 mph. The guys at point s got me in for a free mechanical inspection and checked out the whole front end. They test drove it and felt the wobble. Turns out I had both my front wheels out of balance from another shop and the technician who helped me (Jeff) was very knowledgeable and friendly and after fixing the balance on my wheels brought me into the service area to let me inspect my vehicle while it was up in the rack and went over with me what needed replaced that was showing wear. Awesome service guys. A-Grade service.

Poor experience. Went in to get new set of tires. They were busy day of, so tires were ordered for next day. No problem.. Asked for my info as hadn't been in since business changed name. Wrote down info on back of piece of paper and was told to come back same time next day (no appointment). The problem came when I arrive the next day to find my info never got entered into the computer. The tires weren't ordered either. They also didn't give a solid appointment time either and basically said good luck getting your car on time if we are busy. Won't be coming back as this is very unprofessional. Could have easily kept my business by entering in my info while I was there and assuring my car could be done in a reasonable time by having appointments.
