I took my MINI to them to repair body damage to the right rear quarter...idiot in a parking lot did it. They had the car during the recent winter storm in Portland and when I called Friday I was afraid they would not have finished their work. Not only was it finished, when I picked up my car I was shocked...from bumper to bumper, inside and out, it was a sparking jewel.

Took my Mini here to get some body work done. They were so helpful and did an AMAZING job. My car is back exactly how it was, you would have no idea I had anything done. I will be only using Active for any future body work!

They did a great job on my Audi A4 several years ago but now I'll have to look elsewhere as they don't work on electric vehicles. I've got some cosmetic scratches in some plastic molding and they're not interested because it's an EV.

Better than new!I took my Volvo xc90 with major damage in the back and the works was done beautifully and per Volvo recommendation The Body Shop owner and staff were professional. They took care of all of the communication with the Ins company. I will highly recommend this shop for any repair on your European vehicle.Services: Exhaust, Painting, Electrical, Body & Trim

This is the best place to bring your BMW, mini or Volvo. Excellent work, good communication and very nice people. They know how to navigate the complexities of dealing with insurance companies and as the experts in their field, they know the best approach to fix your vehicle the right way. I will only use Active Auto Body!

Great experience with Active Auto Body, particularly with Rich. Rich is very professional, and really look out for customer s best interest. The car is fixed just like brand new and beyond my expectation. The whole service is totally hassle-free. Rich communicated with insurance adjuster and I did not need to do anything. After the repair, I realized there seems a small molding part missing. Rich immediately ordered a new one. I was not able to go to the shop during work hour and Rich even delivered to my place for installation. I really appreciate his professional services. Took my Audi in after a FedEx truck hit it, on a recommendation from an acquaintance that's been in the industry for decades. Fantastic service. Excellent repair work, panel fitment is perfect and the paintwork is top notch; correct flake, no orange peel, great prep work shows. Completely timely, car was even meticulously cleaned inside and out. Gave me status updates throughout and was extremely professional and personable. Active was originally referred to me by BMW of Portland. If the dealership trusts them, that s a good sign. I ve since used them three times on different issues, and they re always professional, timely, and reasonably priced, and I ve been happy with the work done. What more could you want?

Rich helped me out at the very last minute when a too-tall curb pulled the front bumper off my car a few weeks back. He had it looking like new in under 2 hours and even adjusted the sheet metal around my engine where it was wonky from a repair that had been done before I purchased the car. As if getting the bumper back on and straightening stuff out to the point that there was no more annoying rattling coming from around my hood(!) he also washed the car and replaced a couple of bulbs plus touched up a couple of dings in my paint all for a great deal lower than anyone else was asking and waaay quicker than it would have been elsewhere. Look this place up if you need some fantastic service. Rich had a kind demeanor and made a very professional and friendly impression.Services: Body & Trim, Welding

Rich and his team got my BMW M2 back to perfect condition after the front bumper was damaged from road debris. Not only that but the team was extremely easy to communicate with and Rich was always willing to put my mind at ease. They took care of my car like it was their own and they were happy to work with me to replace an OEM part with an upgrade while we were in there. I trust them completely; the entire experience was extremely positive!

Very friendly staff,informative. My tech took the time to show me what needed to be done to get my car fixed and also how to send photos to my insurance company. Auto body repair isn't anything I know about. I felt taken care of.

I was referred to Active Auto Body by my BMW dealer and I could not have been more pleased. Not only were they very easy to deal with, they were respectful of my time and did an excellent job at repairing the vehicle to better than pre-loss condition. The paint match was simply perfect. Rich called me when the parts were in and all I had to do was drop the vehicle off for a few hours and I was out the door. Convenience, service, quality and value are the obvious cornerstones of this shop!

Great customer service and great work!I called my dealership to inquire as to whether they do collision-repair body work and was referred to Active Auto Body. As if the endorsement by my specialty-dealership weren't enough, I arrived to find a number of luxury automobiles from different makers, domestic and foreign, which were being serviced there.The staff was great, explained the entire process and were true to their word regarding time-frames for the repair and what to expect. I stopped in to pick something up out of my car mid-repair and observed the technicians hard at work and taking great care with my vehicle. The shop never cut corners and was firm but fair with my insurance company as to which repairs needed to be done and with what type of materials.The finished product was perfect in every way and months later, I'm really pleased with the work. I would definitely take my repairs there in the future.

These guys are busy, and for good reason! After the unfortunate happened to my 1.5 year old Tacoma I knew the only body shop I would consider taking my truck to was Active Autobody. They repaired the dent and matched the metallic silver flawlessly. I am very particular about my vehicles and wanted a few small imperfections fixed (only I would notice) and they were more then accommodating in taking care of it. Very friendly staff and awesome history as a local Portland business.

After my BMW M2 was hit by a drunk driver, BMW Portland recommended I take it to Active Auto Body for repairs. I worked with Magin and she was great about communicating what was going on with my car, and how long it would take for me to get it back. I can t say the process of having my car fixed was seamless because a few mistakes were made along the way, both at Active and at BMW. However, Magin was very responsive to my concerns and went above and beyond to make things right. Ultimately, my car was perfect when I got it back, and I wouldn t hesitate to take it to Active again should the need arise.Services: Painting, Auto glass repair, Body & Trim

I'm extremely happy to have my 2011 Volvo C30 back and I have Active Auto Body to thank for that. I was worried that my car would never be the same after the collision I was in, but Active assured me that they would make sure that I would never know it was in a collision. They stayed true to their promise the body work looks excellent and my C30 drives just like it did before the accident. They said my car would be a challenge and a large job and they definitely pulled it off! Active was very accommodating I felt like they were always on my side when dealing with the insurance company. I would definitely recommend Active Auto Body if you are looking for great customer service and quality work.

This was a difficult post to write because I actually had a pretty mediocre experience here. My car took MUCH longer than anticipated and I was strung along with it will be about another week for about a month and a half. However, I give this place 5 stars because when I *finally* got my Mercedes coupe back, it was perfect. The rear quarter panel and door all had to be replaced (about $9,000 of damage due to being T-boned) and the whole side re-painted. I also asked them to tint the windows. The work was meticulous and everyone was incredibly nice. Would absolutely recommend it was well worth the wait. I just wish they would have communicated better.

It s almost feels embarrassing, but I have had 5 of 7 cars here to get fixed. From Land Rovers to BMW s. I have never been disappointed. It may take an extra 2-4 days than expected but it s worth it. The staff is on it, and at this point knows me by name even after 2 years without being there. Super convenient in NW too. Thanks Active, love y all but hope it s a while before I see you again :)

I recently had an opportunity (due to an auto accident) to have my truck repaired at Active Auto Body. I met with Megin and from the moment I walked into the office until I picked up my truck , I was treated professionally and with great courtesy. The information I was given was correct and timely. I have worked with other auto body shops in the past that paled in the quality of service and work.My truck was repaired "perfectly" and clean as it was when I purchased it, new.I would HIGHLY recommend this company to my family and friends.Thank you again

These guys are super busy, yet they still do amazing work. It took a couple days longer than I was initially quoted, but in the end they did a flawless job. My car was even cleaned and waxed!My only suggestion is to give them a call every so often to check on your car. Hundreds of cars a month go through there, and sometimes the one or two people at the desk don't have the time to give everyone a call.

A few years ago I was t-boned in my car on the way to the gas station. I had my car taken to Active Auto Body because my friend recommended them. When I got my car back, I didn t even make it a block from the shop and it broke down because they had used the remainder of gas in my car (was going to gas station when hit) to the point I couldn t even get to the nearest gas station. I had to have friends come and help me. When I called Active to tell them, they said they don t move the cars a ton so it shouldn t have used much gas. That isn t the point. They said if anything further happened from them running my car out of gas to call them and again and we can discuss it further. Then once I got my car home, I noticed my drivers side mirror was still scratched and had not been fixed at all. It took them a few weeks to fix this. Then a few weeks in my driver side door stopped functioning. I couldn t get in or out and had to get in and out in the passenger side until they fixed that a few weeks later. Overall, it was a great disappointment in professionalism and quality of repair.

Brought in my Subaru after it was hit while parked. Damage was limited to the front headlight and fender area, but car is 10+ years old. Staff helped me make more informed decisions re: cosmetic repair. Fixed my car in the same day (!!!), saved me money and made sure I was satisfied with their work. Definately recommend.

They did excellent job on wet sand and polish, it was AMAZING! The price is also reasonable. After the work, they also cleaned up and washed my car, great service! Definitely recommend! I really appreciate their work, great job!

Totalled my car nearby on i405, Magin and Rich were both incredibly helpful and professional. It was my first accident so I was a little unsure of how the process worked. They helped walk me through the process and made sure that I was taken care of. They clearly put the customer first.

I can't say enough about Active Auto Body. It was recommended by a local Volvo dealer. Water had leaked from above a rooftop garden onto my cars hood for about three months. The water with possible fertilizer or calcium deposits stained the paint to such an extant that I was told the hood needed painting. I went to four paint and body shops and was told the repairs would cost between $1500 and $3000 to repaint the metal hood and fiberglass bumpers. Active was the only place to tell me they had experience with this type of problem and their detailers could clean it up. They said if the detailers could not do it then they wouldn't charge me! They were the low ballers on painting as it was. They were able to clean up the hood with no loss of paint and the original gloss is still on the car. Volvo detailers couldn't clean it up. Great job by Active which saved me lots of money.

Active are actually the shop that BMW and Mini use for their repairs (saw 2 new Porsches too when I was there). Add in the fact their labor rate is on the lower rate, they do great work, and are polite and personable to deal with - I'm a (sadly due to my driving!) Repeat customer.
