I recently discovered my 70 Chevelle SS had a thrown belt and no power steering. I brought it in on a Wednesday and that afternoon Eric had it pulled in and started working on it. Eric did a great job explaining the issue, told me he needed to work through some flywheel alignment issues but was confident he could get it adjusted and fixed. Two days later, after receiving the parts the car was done! It drives great and got the car finished for me to have for the weekend.I m very happy with Eric and Robert, the owner who made me feel like my issues were a priority. They have a passion for working on cars and welcomed the challenges my classic muscle car offered. I will definitely be going back! I cannot speak highly enough of Robert, his Master Mechanic, and staff. They were friendly and honest. The shop was clean and well organized . The repair of my truck clutch was performed in a timely manner despite challenging obstacles due to a prior improper clutch installation. I highly recommend Z's Car Care.

This place was recommended by a coworker. All of my brakes needed replacement. Zs car repair had my car repaired, treated me honestly, and quoted an estimate that was more than I actually paid after all was said and done. I appreciated the loaner that they gave me so I didn't have to miss work. This place is super! I highly recommend them.

My husband needed a diagnosis on his jeep and decided to use Z s because he had used them once before and seemed happy with their service. I had nothing to do with scheduling or involvement in anyway. My husband dropped off jeep and I went to work. I received an unexpected call from Robert from Z s. Not sure how they had my number. Robert told me they needed another hour on diagnostic. I told him my husband wasn t with me but I could get that message to him. He didn t mention anything else just that they needed more time. So I said ok. I ll let my husband know. After about an hour Robert calls back and tells my husband the part he needs will cost 2300 with labor. Robert said there was only two NEW parts in the country. My husband called over to Donny at advanced auto parts and he was able to locate the part for $266. Something is definitely not right. We go to pick up our vehicle and Robert is now charging us for an extra hour of the diagnostic that they needed. Robert never mentioned when calling ME (someone who he hadn t spoken to before) that we were being charged by the hour. So after spending $365 we will not be back.

When I pulled into their lot, I was greeted with a high degree of professionalism that instantly eased my worries. The technicians here are not just mechanics - they're like automotive detectives, skilled at diagnosing the most cryptic issues and resolving them precisely.They took time to meticulously analyze the car, running diagnostic checks and scrutinizing every component. Their diligence was impressive, leaving no stone unturned in their quest to find the root cause of the problem (which turned out to be a few things, but that's expected for a car with 150k on the odometer). When they identified the issues, they explained them to me in simple terms, ensuring I was completely in the loop about what needed to be done. The technician even took me to the shop floor to visually explain the issues found.In an industry fraught with mistrust, this repair shop stands as a beacon of integrity, skill, and diligence. I love these guys! I ve lived in many cities and had many different auto mechanics. What I really respect about Z s is their transparency. They give me honest assessments and they listen and help me make sound decisions. Additionally they are; polite, on time, keep their word, reasonable and they stay in touch so I don t have to worry about when I should next return to keep my car HEALTHY . Wanted to see how much a brake rotor change would cost me. These people charged me 150 for an inspection that was not conclusive, and they tried to charge me 950 for parts that cost less than 200. Unbelievable. This is something I can do at home and in less than a day. They were not kind and not very helpful when it came to pricing. I am sure that engine work and mechanical things they are great but do not come here for brakes. They will rip you off

30K maintenance was performed at Z's. I have a Subaru. My local "un-named" Subaru dealer told me that I needed a diff fluid exchange. Z's was incredulous that at 30K something like that was needed. Indeed when they did the 30K, NO diff fluid problems. I have been taking my cars to Z's for almost 20 years. As a single female, they have always been truthful with me and kept my vehicle safe. I have NEVER felt taken advantage of. Their prices are fair. Their mechanics are extremely experienced and several have been employed there for over a decade. I wholeheartedly recommend Z's Car Care!

For decades my family and I have used Z s exclusively for all our auto repair needs. Delbert is one of the last honest dudes in the business and he has done a lot to earn our repeat business- he has personally driven my truck to a transmission shop when they needed some extra help, he has waived diagnostic fees for me at times when it was the right thing to do, and the shop is always friendly, communicative, and responsive. In an industry where those of us with no auto repair knowledge are forced to trust and accept whatever repair shops tell us, I trust Z s!Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Transmission repair, Auto maintenance

I mean, they fixed my very old car, but their prices are not sustainable for the working class. Idk where anyone gets off charging $150 an hr other than they are using capitalism to their advantage. No one likes this model. This isn t ok. Not going back.

An honest mechanic is a rarity. The staff at Z's continues to outshine any shop in Hillsboro I have been a customer to. I always get a good quote. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and give timely updates if issues arise. I would recommend this shop to anyone needing an economical and straightforward answer to issues with your vehicle. Repairs may not always be cheap but it helps to know they are going to give solid service and back up their work without fail.

I have been living in this area for 12 years and driving in front of this mechanic car business shop about everyday for work and ran other errands never thought of stopping in this business to get my car fix. I have been through different mechanics that I found out that I cannot trust them with my bank account. To prove me God's timing on some of the choices "you" make can be exist too and his plan for you is to bring you joy someday, is TRUTH.Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic a lot of businesses in Portland, OR was offering free services and a free meals to the essential workers One day I decided that I would take advantage of at least one of the free services and a free meal of the things that I spend money on in my more often time. The free service that I chose that would be benefited us was to get a free oil change done in my car for my job. So I called Z's Car Care and made an appointment with them for the first time for oil change in my car with tire rotation and to fix my windshield wipers fluid for a charge. When they confirmed to me the work that I needed to be done; they said it's all for free. And I was stunned ! I couldn't believe that they would do all that for free. So I appreciated their generosity very much so with my whole . So I said I feel like that I can trust them with my bank account. Since we have some other work that needed to be done in my car I said, they will be the one I will call . I did call them, they were able to fixed my car and I didn't feel like they over charged us. I had to dropped my car off to them, they gave me a ride home and then when my car got fixed I still didn't have a ride from home, both the owner of the car shop husband and wife dropped my car off to me at home at no extra cost! We should never give up in the hard times because just like that there's still good people left through the hard times; there's also a time for everything!I JUST WANT TO HONOR AND BE ALSO THANKFUL TO THIS FAMILY MECHANIC CAR BUSINESS SHOP FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS FOR DONATED THEIR FREE CAR OIL CHANGED TO THE COMMUNITY OF WASHINGTON COUNTY AND BECAUSE THEIR SO GENEROUS AND HONEST IN SERVING THE LORD THEN THEY BLESSED ME I am grateful to notice that they didn't need me to be rated them 5 stars for their loyalty and honesty

From my initial interaction with Gina, I knew this was the place to take my van. Gina was exceptionally kind, friendly, and diligent in assisting me with my issues. Her husband, Dilbert, also rose to this caliber when giving me advice on things I could try for my vehicle, then quickly getting me in for an appointment. The following day, Tim further amazed me with his kindness, care, and following through with phone calls. My van made it in there only to find that the issue may have been temperature- and moisture-related, and resolved itself. They gave the van a very thorough inspection, called me back to say that nothing was wrong anymore, and that I wasn't being billed anything. Not a thing! Wow! Z's Car Care truly cares about cars and customers. I am filled with joy that such a place exists and such wonderful people are offering services to people in need. Thank you SO much! I have already begun recommending y'all to friends and family in the area! :)

Took my 2005 Ram 1500 in for a coolant leak. Guy behind the desk was super friendly and knowledgeable about mopars. Got the issue taken care of in a timely manner, and a reasonable price. Even got me in a loner car while the repairs were being done so I could get to work. Let me know that my truck had an open recall from Dodge. Met the owner. Super nice guy. I will definitely be going back for all future repairs. Highly recommend theses guys!!!!

Had the guys at Zs work on my 84 El Camino, very happy with the work they did an how quickly it was completed. The staff is extremely professional had the pleasure talking with Tim an he got me on track to getting the vehicle back up an running how it should be. Thank to all the guys at the shop for putting in that effort to getting my vehicle back up in tip top shape. I have never had such a personable experience with an auto mechanic shop. From the phone call to picking up my car, I was treated with friendliness and professionalism. This exceptional crew charged me far far less than I was expecting and took care of my car very quickly. I was back in my car the next morning. My car drives like new! I recommend Z's car care to everyone. I have worked with other mechanics and felt like I was taken advantage of or not taken seriously because of my gender. The best car care I've ever received! They are the most caring and genuine people I've ever met. My car was fixed in a timely manner, I was updated about my cars progress throughout the day, and I never felt like I was pressured into fixing things my car really didn't need fixed. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to all my friends.

Z's is, hands down, the best place to take your car. They do excellent work, don't overcharge, don't upsell services that you don't need, and give you an honest opinion about the state of your car. We have three vehicles in our household, and all of them go to Z's when they need service. I would not hesitate to recommend Z's to anyone looking for a good mechanic to ensure the long life of their vehicle.Update, 3 years after posting the review above: I'm still taking my vehicles to Z's for maintenance, and the service is still excellent. They are always so friendly and courteous and so very careful with my vehicles. The fact that their lot is always full of cars is a testament to how well they treat their customers. I still recommend them to anyone who asks.

Z s is under new ownership but the excellent quality I had before is still in full swing. They diagnosed my vehicle problem and found the right parts and fixed it all with less than a 24 hour turnaround. No easy feat considering the vehicle is 27 years old.

The best car care we ve ever received! We have taken two of our cars in to Z s, one for a repair and the other for troubleshooting. Customer care was incredible! They quickly and very reasonably fixed our first car (while communicating with us throughout the day) and assisted us with figuring out the issue with our second car at no charge. We won t be taking our cars anywhere else!

Zs car care is the best shop Ive been to. I had an engine problem that needed immediate attention and these were the only guys that could get me in that day. They did their inspection and found another serious problem that needed to be addressed and immediately let me know. They explain everything in an easy to understand way so that I know exactly what is going on with my vehicle. In the end the bill came out even cheaper than what it was originally going to be because they were able to get the job done even more efficiently than they thought. I haven't run into anybody that would pass the savings on to a customer like that. Zs is a super friendly environment and they know what great customer service is. I will definitely be coming back for any future needs.
