I would never recommend this business to anyone but ESPECIALLY older, single women. They lied to me and to my insurance company and overcharged me, charged me a 2nd time for what they assured me they had done the first time. They said they took pictures, but then refused to give them to me or my insurance company until they were paid all the money they were demanding and then they were useless.Horrible people! I wish I had read the reviews before I let them do what they did and didn't do!They should be ashamed! I am still waiting for a receipt showing I paid them in full for the money they took from me. I asked several days ago after I paid them, despicable people and a horrible way to do business.

Stopped in with a battery charging issue while traveling down the coast. Carl was extremely helpful and patient. He found our issue, provided the solution and we have parts on the way. Excellent service! Thanks Carl!

Where do I begin. Let's start with the owner. That man should not own a business of any kind. He is rude especially to women. It took them 2 months to fix my transmission. We received a call our camper was done so we make the two and a half hour drive to get it. We go in to pay the final bill and it is almost 600.00 dollars more than quoted. I go out to the camper and start it up and the first thing I notice is the check engine light is on which I have never seen on before. We were told give him a hour to fix the problem. We come back and no mechanic. 4 hours later another mechanic did the repair and away we went.About 10 miles down the road our drive line broke and hit the ground. Needless to say I was furious and stuck on hwy 126. Owner sent a tow truck, fixed the problems and delivered the camper to us 4 days later. Horrible experience, horrible owner and I will never go there again. Charged us 5500.00 all said and done. Thiefs!!!! Now my worry is what damage did they do when the drive line fell out. Can't believe they are still in business. During the 2 months they had our camper they did not communicate with us, we had to call them for updates nor did they call and ask us if we could spend 550 more dollars on a repair we still don't understand. I suggest looking elsewhere for your camper repairs.Service: Transmission

The area is very competitive so be ready to rely on how you are treated not what you hear

Wow! We would recommend Florence RV to anyone with an RV repair need. Joe came to us and not only did a great repair, but stayed to make sure the problem would not reoccur. Showed up right on time and the price for labor &materials was less than we were dreading. Top notch!

Incredible service. I was able to make an appointment within 2 days (which is rare to get one so fast). I arrived 45 minutes early and they got right to work on my RV. Carl checked me in nice guy, and Joe did the work also nice guy. He fully explained everything they did during the lube oil and filter service. Quick work, good price, and well done job. I highly recommend!!!Service: Oil change

I needed a mobile tech to fix an electrical issue with my RV. I don t remember his name, but he s a USMC Veteran. He took care of the issue quick. Additionally, he took the time explain what caused the issue & how to prevent it from happening again. Superior service, priced very reasonably & I highly recommend if you need a mobile RV Tech.

After a horrible week and totaling my car, my loaner vehicle broke down and I had to get a tow. AAA told me it was going to be an hour and a half wait. Their driver showed up in less than 30 minutes and was extremely friendly and sympathetic to my situation. He was quick and efficient at getting my car loaded up. I had to ride in the truck with him to my destination and he was able to make light of the situation and ease my mind after a very stressful few days and even got me to laugh a few times. Having someone be so kind to me in a time of desperation was such a relief. Would absolutely recommend them and use them again if needed.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I live in town and twice they have been very good to me. The first time they did the job for thousands less than other quotes I got. The second time they fixed a major issue in a pinch or I wouldn t have been had to have been towed to Eugene and likely missed my vacation. I feel that they are honest and affordable. Thank you!!!!

Just Keep Driving, Don t Stop Here!Really wanted to like this place, mainly for it s convenient location. We had made an appointment to have some simple annual maintenance performed, so we hung out and watched. Simple... Right? What we witnessed was nothing short of A Comedy of Errors and a Con Job!Mainly went in to have the 3 Bypass Valves for the Hot Water Heater serviced (dripping) and the little filter cleaned on the water pump (annual maintenance). The day begins where Instead of just changing out o-rings or even just replacing the water valves (as I had asked then to do).... Next thing you know, Carl tells me that I needed to have a whole new set-up updated and re-engineered.(This is while he s standing in front of me holding everything cut-out of the system) Ah..okay??? Sure, that s fine.(I figure, whatever. Not a big deal to change a two more fittings and a couple of feet of waterline). However, as we hung out and watched. This re-engineering was nothing short of painful to watch. I definitely didn t see, nor did I experience the self proclaimed 19 years of experience come to shine. Instead, reports back on an another added expense... Now you need a new water pump, yours is broken . I said, my water pump is not broken !!WHAT!? They had already completed the cleaning of the filter AND closed it back up. As Carl is checking his re-engineered waterline system (not working properly) he says, oh well, everyone makes mistakes??? (Frustrated, I just left and left it at that. Didn t want to rub salt on the guys wound). We leave to have lunch and came back an hour later.... Stay Tuned!Next thing they re back under at the water pump, disconnecting and pulling it out because it was now leaking! Carl tells me I had to change the water pump because yours was broken. Look, it s cracked right here so i went ahead and replaced it.WHAT? It wasn t broken before I came here, AND It wasn t broken before you cleaned the filter!!!Anyhow... It just continues from there! Now, their New Water Pump that they just installed is Leaking and they can t figure out whats wrong. We told them we re going home and we ll come back tomorrow when you figure it out. A COMEDY OF ERRORS AND Here Comes the CON for their incompetence... A basic $150-$200 service turning into being billed for over $800.After getting the total bill, AND ONLY after politely Blowing My Lid ... Carl said he ll knock off an hour of labor. So he lowered the bill to just under $700!Update: The water pump that they installed no longer holds pressure in the system. It just continues to run and will not turn off. Now I have to take this to another mechanic to have it fixed properly!JUST KEEP DRIVING and Never Stop Here!

I brought mt RV here for repairs and they sat on it for two months before deciding they couldn't handle the job. They also lost my only keys for my RV and re-keying the unit cost me lots of money Avoid this place like the plague! Also, try calling them, the staff answering the phone is extremely unprofessional and rude.

Rude as we pulled up for our appointment, a man came out saying YOU CANNOT PARK THERE. We were not parking, just checking in. After moving our truck and trailer to his approved parking spot he moaned and groned complaining he was short handed and wasn't sure if he could fix our slider. He then came out to our trailer slammed the motor into placed charged $50.00 and said it was fixed. After traveling down to Coos Bay and trying to close our slider, we had the same problem. Run don't walk from this place!!!

Stopped in for a refrigerator issue in my motor home and paid $50 for a wrong diagnosis. The next day after making a 2pm appointment and calling them at 3pm they sent a driver to our site and for $100 figured out the problem, but the mechanic didn't have the part with him. The next day I broke camp and drove back to their shop for a 9am appointment that they didn't show having been made, I paid another $50 in labor for a ten minute install of a circuit board and I had to push them into plugging my RV into 120v power to test it. Having the part in the shop, the first time I pulled in, they should have found the issue by verifying that it worked on both gas and electricity and fixed in on the spot with a half hour of labor, give or take. Both mechanics were nice enough and seemed to know what they were doing, but the owner made me feel like he could care less about my issue.

We contacted them about our fuel line on our generator. Seems those cute little squirrels just love to chew through them! ((No love for them at all) as this was the second time, we wanted to add some type of protection. So contacted one repair place and they said yes til we showed up. So we contacted Florence and they were of course, we drop fuel tanks all the time! So first stop when we got into town. They are wonderful! Not only did they do the work in one day, but they put a sleeve and aluminum tape on the hose. So take that squirrel!! If you need repairs highly recommend

Our full wall slide in our 07 fleetwood 42f motorhome got stuck in out position. Owner promised to send his best for the job. He did!, he was knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to work with ( i don't say that often). The bonus was the fee was reasonable. I highly recomnend this company:)

Carl was such a sweet, knowledgeable amazing technician! He worked with a wife who had no clue how to turn the RV on and diagnosed two problems, quickly solving both. Husband was super happy with repairs. Would highly recommend to anyone! Seldom is someone fantastic at troubleshooting and repair AND has a pleasant personality.

I think they do good work. I would suggest getting an estimate and checking out the cost of the parts. Our part, list price, was $349. Wholesale was $265. They charged us $749. Our fault for not doing the checking. Let the buyer beware!!!!

While vacationing in the Florence area I had a problem with my motorhome's propane system. There was no propane flow despite both switches for the electric shutoff valves being "on". Since we were dry camping and needed to rely on propane for refrigerator operation it was imperative to get this fixed as soon as possible. I stopped into Florence RV & Automotive Specialists around 1pm on a Monday. Jim the technician was the only one there. Apparently the other tech was on a mobile service call and the other Jim (the owner) was not there. Since Jim the tech was involved in another repair he said to call back in two hours. When I called back Jim the owner answered and said to come in since they were waiting on parts for the other job and they could work me in.Jim the tech quickly diagnosed the problem to excessive oil in the propane regulator. Fortunately the system has an oil trap so he drained that. By this time the two places in town to get a new regulator were closed. Jim got the propane flowing so we were able to go back to camp for the night. The next morning we called to get on the schedule but Jim the owner didn't know anything about it. I explained how Jim the tech said to come back that morning to have the regulator replaced. He checked with the tech and soon called me to come in. Jim the tech quickly replaced the regulator and all was in good working order. The oil in the trap and the oil in the regulator amounted to about a 1/2 cup!It is apparent that Jim the tech is a very experienced and competent RV technician. He quickly checked all possible causes and quickly diagnosed the issue. He was also very friendly and answered all my questions during the repair process.I highly recommend Florence RV & Automotive Specialties if you have any repair or service issues.

We can't say enough great things about this service facility. Last August Jim Housley saved us when our Redwood 5th wheel developed brake problems when we were traveling along the Oregon coast. He had to order parts (brake pads and rotors). He expedited shipping and his knowledgeable technician replaced them and packed the wheel bearings. He got us taken care of within 3 days. We greatly appreciated this effort. It's nice to do business the old fashioned way where you really have trust in someone's word and they do exemplary work. We loved the dog in his shop, and Jim even gave us a taste of some home-made smoked fish that a customer had brought him. I don't suppose we'll ever experience a better service appointment.

5/18/17 We got a hold of Florence RV for assistance with a water heater issue. They were the only one out of 3 service centers willing to help us out with a quick fix. 5-Stars to these guys! Great service and able to help in a pinch. Saved a girl from a cold shower!

Extremely rude and unreliable owner. As well as overpriced. I was willing to pay the $98 an hour fee for them to come out to the local rv park to fix the drain of the rv. I had a busy day to plan around, and we agreed on a time. It was a time where I could not go anywhere, so it took 2 hours out of my day to stay near the rv. That was fine, as I agreed to it. But they did not show up! No phone call to tell me they were late. Just a total NO SHOW. I called them to see what was going on. The owner was very rude to me and said he will get there when he gets there. I asked for the maintenance man's cell number so I could get an update. He said he doesn't allow them to have phones while working. Ok, so I can't call to find out from the actual person who was supposed to be there and didn't show up? The owner would not find out either for me. He was all in all, a rude, arrogant, unhelpful and spoiled person. I told him this was unprofessional of them, and he boasted how in over 25 years, he is certainly doing well and not unprofessional. He called me "Mam" with a condescending tone over and over and finally without any help at all from him, oh and his also telling me If I am not willing to wait around for them to get there when there get there... I should call someone else. I hung up on him. What a creep! Yes I did take my business elsewhere. He showed up within 30 minutes, and fixed my problem with a snake which took 5 minutes. And the price was nothing even close to the rip off price this place was going to charge me.Definitely avoid. Unless you have all day to wait around... and maybe they will not even show up then. And if you are a woman, definitely know this owner is a misogynist and will treat you like an idiot. What a waste of time that day was for me. Glad I can at least write a review about it. Thank you Yelp for the chance to.
