My Wife &I stayed here from the 11th through the 13th. The first 2 nights were good. However, the 3rd night, the power went out at like 4 pm & remained out the rest of the night. Although we realized power outages are beyond their control , they never once checked on their guests after the power went off. It was extremely cold &it would have meant a lot to have been offered extra blankets to keep warm.

We celebrated our 20th anniversary here just after Labor Day. Tanya and the other ladies couldn't have been nicer. The wife was able to access everything with her walker. There's a nice coffee place literally across the street, with local crafts on the walls. If you don't have big bucks for a stay at a corporate hotel, this place is your best bet. Let's just say it oozes character! We're making this our getaway place from now on!

I was arriving late into the area. Frantically looking for a place to stay and pulled into this hotel around nine. I entered the front door and waited a little bit to see if anyone was coming to the desk- when that didn't happen I rang the bell and waited another 5 minutes. I could hear voices and talking and the TV in the other room. But no one came to the front desk. I waited, maybe another 10 minutes rang the bell a couple more times while still standing patiently in the lobby and no one ever showed up so I left.I guess it is what it is when you're on the Oregon coast. And maybe the people who maintain the hotel also lived there or were busy with other things. But it was just very strange to me that I was just standing in the lobby and could have loaded my arms and pockets with whatever was in there and walked right out. And no one would have known any difference. So take that for what you will.

If you are a cyclist doing the Pacific Coast bike route and approaching Depoe Bay at nightfall wanting a mattress and shower I can highly recommend you this budget motel. Classic single level drive up motel with a surprisingly decent view of the Pacific. The usual amenities, and courteous staff who don t mind you keeping your bike in your room. Only complaint was the shower head was the lowest I think I ve ever seen one.Arch Rock caffe just down the road is a great place to get a warm beverage early in the morning and stroll the seawall before checking out.

It's an older motel, and needs some work. Our door had a chain lock and a dead bolt... but both were broken. A trip to Home Depot wouldn't hurt. Bathroom looks updated, but also looked like a bar fight happened in with cracked tile in the tub/shower and the towel rack was coming off the wall.Bedding was neat and clean, towels and all were fresh. Microwave is cute, mini fridge and coffee maker all worked too. Missing the closet rod for some reason in the open closet space. The table and chairs were helpful. Expected the street noise and the foot traffic noise as people went in and out of the motel. Just some general decor updates would make it such a neat place. Maybe a room area time would work instead of shutting down everything?I would go back if they can fix the security issues, and maybe offer wifi since the TV wasn't working right and Ibhad to reset it. Thankfully, I knew how to follow the in screen directions for that. .Really great location, just needs some serious TLC.

This is not an attack on the lady personally. She was very nice. The room was tiny, no microwave, no telephone, the door barley locked. The dog next door would not stop barking.I went to take a shower, put one for in the bathtub and slipped and fell, i smashed the back of my head on the tile wall along when my elbows. If they had safety strips this might not have happened.I told her it could have been alot worse if i had been elderly.Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.Worst anniversary trip ever. Will not be returning.Safety: Nothing safe about it

The motel has NEW OWNERS as of several weeks ago. While the rooms need some updating (the new owners have taken on quite a project), ours was sparkling clean, the bed was comfortable, and the rates affordable. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, making sure to ask if there was anything they could do to make our stay even more enjoyable. The location is terrific, with dining, shopping, and many nature trails all within an easy walk. A great value right on the coast!

AMAZING location! Beautiful views of the cliffs and ocean! Owners are very friendly and accommodating.. they just bought the place a few weeks ago, so it is a little run down but they are working on it. Very reasonably priced and definitely livable and comfortable. My stay is for ten days and there is a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker! I wouldn t have wanted to stay anywhere else and will definitely stay here again! BTW: I was just reading some of the bad reviews on here, and I have to say If you are looking for five star accommodations then go somewhere else and pay five star prices.. This place is great for the price!

Would not recommend staying here to anyone. We ended up cutting our trip early because this place was so uncomfortable to stay in. We ve decided to compile a pros and cons list so you can decipher if it s worth staying here. Stay here if you want to feel scared of getting bed bugs or robbed.CONS: Terrible first impression with rude costumer service. Sat in the lobby for about 5 minutes before someone even came to greet us. Owners wife was the one who originally checked us in. She seemed bothered that we needed help checking in and was extremely rude, just handed us things to sign and said nothing else- very cold. Owner eventually came out to finish the check in was initially somewhat friendly but then proceeded to make extremely awkward conversation- I was getting very uncomfortable when he questioned my boyfriend about how he got his credit card and how he s customized it to where he doesn t have to sign for things.. just abnormal, unprofessional questions that would make anyone feel uncomfortable. as for the hotel room itself, it was pretty bad all around. Door would only lock when you re inside with a deadbolt. Handle locks don t work, so you have to take your stuff with you when you leave or risk it being stolen. Plenty of sketchy people around this area, including an older man walking down and peeking into each rooms window, touching door handles. We think this older man is the owners father as we saw him sitting in the owners headquarters watching us when we would come and go from our room. Contemplated sleeping in the car because that felt safer. Room was extremely hot at night, yet you can t sleep with the window open because it s a HUGE safety hazard considering the people who hang out around this area. As for the cleanliness of the room, it was pretty bad. We slept with our own blanket underneath us to create a barrier from their dirty blankets. All of the towels were stained, there was mold in the shower, mold on the shower liner (no shower curtain) rat feces in the bathroom. Walls are paper thin, we could hear everything that our neighbors were doing- whether that be talking, walking, turning on the shower, etc. Fridge didn t work, it was the same temperature as our room.PROS: Roof over your head

This isn't a great place. It isn't really bad. It took 45 minutes to fill the bath tub to take a hot bath. People knocked on our door in the middle of the night. While we were out to dinner, some one opened our window. We discovered it and closed it. Outside I heard some one arguing about not being able to do something because someone wouldn't sleep. I thought we were lucky we weren't robbed in our sleep. I will NOT stay here again.

This place is the worst motel I have ever stayed in. Dirty , the shower barley works, it smelled so bad I had to go get air freshener and a Glad plugin. Everything is worn out. Very dangerous they have the lamp , coffee maker , TV and the TV box , frigirator and the microwave plugged in to the same outlet with an extension cord. It may be cheap but it still not worth it.shower

About what you d expect from a 1-star motel.Pros: the lamps were very nice and bright, the microwave was strong, the bathroom was clean and seemed to have been recently remodeled, the shower had good water pressure and temperature, the thermostat seemed to work well (though we only used the heater) and the hotel has an ocean view. We saw whales from right outside our room!Cons: there was a musty smell that lingered our whole stay, as well as a weed smell that would mysteriously waft in every few hours, the shower drain barely worked, while there were four mechanisms on the door that one would expect to lock, only two sort of did. The deadbolt and the chain were apparently just there for decoration.

Yes it is cheap to stay here but, the place is old and very run down.1. There is no maid.2. The place is dirty.3. The bathtub was clogged and when I let the manager/owner know. He said he would fix it but he never did.4. The room had a strong humid/smoke odor.

Room was exactly what we needed, at a price we could afford.Simple, no frills, great ocean view from the rooms that face the front. If you want to Visit the area, see the Landscape, spend time on the Beach or other attractions, and all you need is a good roof and a shower; this is it.#OceanView #Warm

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I m really not sure how this place isn t condemned yet. Relocating to the OR coast and needed a temporary place to stay while we wait on our apartment to be ready. Not only was this place affordable, but it was the only place that was available, so we took it. Worst idea of our hotel/motel choices ever!!! Disgustingly dirty, don t think it ever gets cleaned between guests don t dare look under the bed! Mold in shower, disgusting toilet, fridge doesn t work. Pretty sure it s mostly reserved for drug dealers who are long term. The guy who was next to us was extremely rude, and catered to by management. In the middle of the night on two different occasions, he found it necessary to blast his terrible music, slam doors, and party with his friend, waking us up. When we politely asked him to keep it down, he laughed at us and carried on until 4 in the morning. Management doesn t seem to care one bit, and as mentioned, caters to these people. I felt dirty and gross the entire time we were there and couldn t wait to leave!! Seriously stay away!!!!

The man ( owner or manager) scammed me. He walked down to my room after I checked in. Said he needed a favor. Said it was his anniversary and he wanted his wife to have her favorite wine. If I would go to the chevron next door and get them wine he would refund the cost of the wine back to my card. Beat Box wine. I could not find it. So I told the clerk at the chevron who it was for and she says he comes in all the time and gets the same stuff. It s 16 oz. card board wines in fruit punch and other cheap flavors and it s 11.1% alcohol. He lied to me. He s a drunk and trying to hide it from his wife. Worse than that- he stole thirty dollars from a stranger who paid 77 dollars to stay at his run down hotel. He did not refund any money. He stole from me. I think because I had Colorado tags he thought he d get away with it. But I actually live in Portland, check my bank statements every week, and duh we re all on line. So in short he s a thief and the motel is trashy.

We checked into room 16 last night. There is a cable for the TV right next to the door that is not attached to the wall or the floor at all so you trip over it and fall. It s pretty bad I wish I could post a video. The bathroom sink leaks all over the floor. The shower has almost no pressure and leaks. It s just so bad, I wish I could post videos

I booked stay at this hotel. I called in the morning and told them I d be arriving that night and she said that was fine. Once I arrived she told me she canceled my stay and gave my room to someone else but would not tell me why. She was extremely rude and would not explain anything to me. After reading the reviews I am very thankful that this happened. Such an awful place run by awful people.

If I could give negative stars I would! After driving 7.5 hours, I pull up the motel only to be greeted by a sign saying the front desk person had to go to the hospital. I called the hotel and a housekeeper answered and said there's nothing he could do. I have a small child and a dog with me. I never received a phone call or email cancelling my reservation. Trying to find another place last minute was costly in time and money! Sucks they had to go to the hospital, I understand. However, the place I ended up at said they do stuff like this regularly!!

We stayed there 2 nights in mid July 21. I knew the place wasn't high-end, but the room was so small that the door couldn't open all the way before hitting the bed; two people can't pass each other in the room. When we arrived--after check-in time--a guy was trimming the shrubs right outside the rooms, and the noise was so awful we couldn't rest after our long drive. The towels were old and threadbare, and we only got 1 washcloth. The broken tiles around the moldy tub caused shower water to pour onto the floor, so I mopped it up with our towels after showering and told the housekeeper about it before leaving for the day, but I still had to pick up the wet towels myself and ask the housekeeper AGAIN for towels again when we got back at the end of the day; that time, we got NO washcloths.. The pillows were weirdly hard, and when I asked for different ones, I was told they didn't have any, but I could pull several flat pillows out of the cases around the pillows in the room (that's why they seemed so hard). The door lock looked like something cheap from the 1950s--NOT secure. Lastly, no ice is provided; they claimed it was because of COVID (how does ice spread COVID?).
