Rob s Automotive Repair is by far the most helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and honest shop I have ever been too. They are extremely thorough when it comes to diagnostics and they take the time to take pictures along with whatever problem they find. They installed new leaf springs in my 2019 Ford Ranger and took the time to throw in some aftermarket parts in the process of the install. Glad I found this place. Kyle is awesome as well as everyone that works there! Definitely coming back for future repairs and or upgrades!

Oh, where do I begin? I have a 2015 Mercedes sprinter that I use for my cargo business. I was looking for a new shop because the dealerships are just overbooked and do not fit my schedule. I called Rob s automotive and Kyle was able to quickly assess my needs and schedule an appointment to bring it in promptly. Since then, Kyle and his team went above and beyond to help diagnose the vans issues. And let me tell you, this was no easy task. These Mercedes sprinters have so many sensors that it can give you false readings quite easily. Kyle s team took the time diagnose each one individually in order to save me unnecessary repair bills. I d really like to praise the level of communication and honesty from Kyle. True professionalism and courtesy all the way through the processKyle and his team have a customer for life in me. And if anyone is looking for a professional, honest shop, I would highly recommend Rob s automotive! Just ask for Kyle!

I like the detailed report Rob's Auto emailed to me about the over all condition of my vehicle. My Ram 3500 is new to me and I wanted to know the over all condition of the vehicle, and take care of any problems they ran across. All the information I needed was in the detailed report, along with pictures. I like the friendly and knowledgeable staff at the front desk, and the comfortable waiting area. I'm pleased with the level of service provided by Rob's Auto as I'm sure you will be a well!

I have been taking my truck to Rob's for maintenance services for the past year. They are always friendly, detailed and services are competitively priced vs other shops. They have mechanics that are highly trained and always do a comprehensive inspection of your vehicle to let you know what other services will be due in the future. Carter who is at the front desk is knowledgeable and does a great job in communicating with checking in the vehicle and when it maintenance is done. I strongly recommend Rob's Automotive Repair for anyone needing oil changes or any vehicle maintenance or repair.

My husband and I recently had bad experiences at both of our dealerships. Someone recommended Rob's to us so we gave them a call, and they were about to fit us in the same day. Kyle's communication was incredible, and both vehicles were fixed quickly and are now running smoothly. They managed our extended warranty with professionalism. They were honest about the work that needed to be done as opposed to greedily suggesting unnecessary services. Fabulous customer service, reliable workers, would highly recommend!

I went with Rob s for not only the great reviews but also the longevity of the company. From the beginning everyone there was understanding and helpful and Kyle specifically was great throughout the days we interacted. Kyle was even willing on pick up day to go on a test drive with me after I had a few questions. All in all a good experience from real down to earth mechanics. Prices may be a bit higher for labor compared to some but I feel every penny was justified.

I just took my cargo van to Rob s for the second time. I had a time crunch before doing a long road trip, and I really wanted the cruise control fixed along with the general service. The tech quickly diagnosed the fault and the team found a new factory part nearby. John, behind the counter, was excellent at communicating the costs, recommended repairs, and the timing at every step. Great teamwork and no surprises. I ll go back!

Wow! This was probably my BEST automotive service experience ever! I received a flyer in the mail from Rob's Automotive, so I decided to try them for an oil change. I spoke with Andrew when scheduling my appointment. He said it would take about 2 hours, so I could wait there or leave. When I arrived two days later for the appointment, Andrew explained they would send me a detailed video inspection report, let me know if they saw anything of concern and then perform the service. When I returned to pick up my car, several employees were eating lunch in the waiting area. I asked the cashier if they were having a potluck, and she said, "Oh no, Rob buys us lunch often to express his appreciation for the team..." The final price was as quoted. When I got in my car, there was a paper mat protecting the floor and plastic covers protecting the seat and steering wheel - demonstrating they cared about not getting the interior dirty. I showed my husband the inspection video when I got home, and he was really impressed, too. Thanks, Rob's. We'll be back!

TWO times they have missed items they said they completed.First time was not having AC refrigerant in system when they worked on engine. Missing screws on installed work.Yesterday I picked up my vehicle after being at their location for two weeks for radio/amp wiring, back camera, rotors and ball joints.They failed to complete work requested. Radio was not put back in as requested, Amp not wired, back camera not connected. They said this work was completed the first few days there.I m not sure how they keep missing work that was requested. Poor quality assurance process of work completed. Invoice paid said work was completed and it was not. So utterly frustrated. This is not a business I would NOT share with others as reliable.Back check work they complete.

I have been to robs a few times. Putting your car in the shop is always a hassle and stressful, but the staff at robs makes it so easy and they always take care of you. JJ is amazing, her customer service is outstanding. She is so efficient and helpful. You can tell when you walk into the office the team there is like family and they make you feel very welcomed. Special thanks to Landon for taking such good care of my vehicle. This is the second time he's serviced it and he is always so polite and considerate. Down to even moving my seat back. Hands down one of the best shops I've been to. Thank you robs automotive for helping me get back on the road safe and sound

I am giving this place 5 stars without having my car (BMW 535i) serviced yet by the sheer fact of them wanting to help without asking questions or putting me off. So here is the story. My engine check light is on and I wanted to hook it up to a code reader. I had already gone to Autozone and Jiffylube and both reads came back with different codes. I decided to go to this place and get a read from a shop who would most likely have updated ob2 scanners. I called first to see and got disconnected but Carter called me back to apologize and said yeah come in, without any hesitation. Now, I had also previously called Portland Motor works and Steve's imports who specialize in BMW repair and both acted like they were too good to give me 5 minutes. Portland Motor works even went on to brag about how knowledgeable their techs were and that they couldn't do it for free. You mean it takes extreme knowledge to hook up a scanner to a car and read some codes on a computer? Well, Carter from Rob's Automotive was very gracious in helping me and I did schedule an appointment to get a more detailed idea to get the problem resolved. Their site says they specialize in customer service and they definitely know how to treat potential customers. I would highly HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who wants honest and helpful technicians. Rob's thank you for being an integral part of the automotive service world. There needs to be more like you.

I had the best experience at Robs automotive recently and couldn't be more satisfied. It's not easy to find an automotive repair shop that you can really trust. But Robs automotive repair in Clackamas is a cut above. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, everyone I dealt with was super friendly and helpful. The technician that worked on my car, Ben was amazing. From the initial inspection he performed to the repair work, it was all exceptionally done. I will not take my car to any one else!

JJ is the best, She walks you through the entire process and lets you know how well worth her techs are. I bought my car almost new and drove it for a long time when I brought it in I expected it to drive the same, to my surprise it drove better than when I first bought the damn thing. Needless to say well WORTH the money. They pay attention to even the small details for sure. My techs name was Ben he was awesome.

Rob s left parts uninstalled in the trunk of car they had been asked to reinstall as part of the work (transmission pan cover, belly pan and another transmission shielding part). Rob s Insisted on charging me to drain transmission when it was already drained. The reason I had it in their shop was due to the bolts holding transmission pan in placed being stripped out. Charged $250 an hour (based on the age of my car, 2002) for two stripped out bolt holes (2 hours of labor they said were required) and then charged nearly $400 for a transmission service that was already done by me and simply required them to fill and check the fluid level. My fault for allowing them to do the work but needed the car back up and running. Check your quotes - electronic estimate sent to me to sign was always significantly higher than what I was told over the phone before it was sent.Update:Carter did try to reach me and I waited over the weekend to reply before I did, he never responded.Shortly after getting the car back, we noticed the transmission was slipping. I called and spoke with another service advisor who wasn't there when the car was repaired, but told me how dirty the transmission fluid was. THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS ALREADY DRAINED AND THE PAN WAS CLEANED. I had pulled the pan off and drained it, when we discovered the bolt holes were stripped. Which is is why I had it brought into Rob's to begin with.When I asked about if they would check the transmission fluid because it was slipping, the advisor told me I would have to pay for that service ("Our mechanics have to get paid." was what I was told). Annoyed with his response, I pointed out that on the invoice, Rob's lists their '5 Cs and Technician checklist'; my car's odometer reading on their invoice shows 'check in' of 226016, and check out of 226018 - 2 miles difference. 'C' 4 on their checklist - Confirmation. Says the tech will drive it for a minimum of 6 miles. Then a service advisor will drive it also. Doesn't seem to have been the case. Which then makes me question any of the rest of their checks.Bottom line was, if I wanted Rob's to check their work, it was going to cost me.Got Ramps. Since Rob's had left the parts off the car to get at the pan it was super easy (Also on invoice in the "client concerns" is a note that Customer let them know that the bolts and parts removed were in the trunk) Got the car up off the ground and followed the guide from a Bentley manual for checking the fluid - the car was over a quart low! Slipping solved. There was no leaking of transmission fluid, so it's not like the answer from Rob's will be that it leaked out a quart once the car left their shop.Rob H, if you'd like to contact me, please do so.Is there a recording of when I called in about the slipping and that I would be charged to have you check it?Service: Transmission

When I went to check air filter I noticed cover on one of cable connections was laying lose under the hoodWas easy to secureLiked the doughnuts Fri.Still checked with another source said you can use full synthetic and later switch back to blendFast work done while waiting was goodWent to bathroom and found my car running due to blocked in by a truck. Only when I asked did they turn it off. Wasteful on my gas I thought. Took awhile before truck moved.

I haven't always been sure about this place, but now p have changed my mind.. My car had a few things wrong. They explained in detail the problems,I decided to get the repairs and I was very satisfied and felt safe when I left. They went out of their way to provide great customer service. They even providing me with a ride to and from because I didn't have transportation. That was a plus! I recommend Robs for needed car repairs and servicing.

Excellent customer service. Brought my Infiniti m35x in for a diagnoses. The undercarriage of the car had a lot of rust and there were a number of suspension related items that needed repair. They did a thorough exam of the vehicle and gave me a number of recommendations. They wouldn't do the repairs because the car was too rusty but they diagnosed the problem as the right front wheel bearing. I replaced the bearing and the problem persisted. I then brought the car back in and they determined it was also the right front bearing as well. I replaced the bearing and that cured most of the problem. There was still a sound coming from the suspension but I am sure that was related to parts I need to replace in the suspension. The bottom line is they took the car back in at no charge and correctly diagnosed the problem! This was a very hard diagnoses because of the condition of the car but they were able to do it. Its extremely hard to find a good and honest diagnostic technician but the bottom line is they figured it out.
