Got referred by a friend should have looked at reviews. Horrible customer service. The mooring cover for my 23 sled collects water they said too bad so sad. Hey if you want a good argument go talk to the lady that probably owns the place she ll give you a run for your money.Could have went down the street to the pond store if I wanted a pond.If it s damaged from miss use should have offer to fix it for a charge. Instead of having a horrible attitude and finding every angle to argue with me. I never said I wanted work done for free I just wanted the product I paid for to work properly.I ll post the pictures of my sled/pond in a couple days and you will see that water has Collected in the bow. Where there is no seat. Don t worry I know you ll have a come back for that one.Ps they wouldn t even take it back when I said I only want 50% of my money back.- The Guy that likes to fabricate

Talked to these guys at the sportsman show and showed them pictures of our boat, they guessed a replacement top would be around $2500. We made an appointment to drop the boat off during that time the estimate almost doubled coming in at $4265. Supposedly the reason for this additional cost is that our boat is a walk-around, they knew this when looking at the pictures. There also is no additional section for this type of cover on their website showing that these covers start at $3700 and are way more expensive than the runabout top. One of the other excuses given is that it would require stainless joints in the top, which was also discussed when given the approximation at the show.We drove almost 2 hours and took a half day off work to just drive home. Looking through the reviews it seems they are off on their "estimates" quite often. If you have a long way to drive think twice before bringing it here they will try to gouge you.

Getting scheduled was simple. The drop off was simple. It took one less day than what they said. I went and picked it up yesterday.I couldn't believe the attention to detail that they put into it. Things I wouldn't have thought of, they did. I couldn't be happier with the mooring cover.

Had an issue with a seat. They stood by it 100%. Everyone has issues, the separation of service is how they take care of them. Thanks Haxton's.

Got a full top built for my pontoon boat. Wife was excited to see it....enough that she helped me put it on in the cold rain. We are both super impressed with the workmanship. Haxtons was so kind and easy going on this custom build. They were very helpful with ideas and how the make my Suntracker xp3 fishing barge into a year round boat.ThanksPictures to come.....hopefully with salmon in handMark

I had Haxton s make a custom stern cover for our fishing boat about seven months ago. The quality is great and the professionalism and customer service was exceptional. We returned after a major ice storm because our cover experienced damage as a result of falling ice and limbs. During a crazy busy time they were able to fit us in for the repairs to our cover. I recommend Haxton s as they truly give great service and offer amazing customer service during times when businesses are having a hard time getting materials and are so backed up with scheduled jobs.

Haxton s has done two different boat projects for me and both show a level of proficiency rarely experienced in today s service industry. Their attention to detail, design parameters, and quality construction are simply extraordinary. If you require a job done well, these are the people to turn to. I believe their work to be the standard by which all else should be measured and as a small family run business, I wish them every success. Best Regards,Chuck Maynard

Customer service was fantastic. Lynn was knowledgible, informative and went the extra mile to fix my boat cover....Thank you. I'll be a returning customer. The store is very well outfitted as well. As a professional fishing guide I will recommend Haxton's to other boat owners. Bernie

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! They promised me to replace carpet on gunnels in 1 week but took them over 2 weeks. Always has excuse. By the way they charge me for full replacement but only done 80% and charge me full price. Carpet already starts pill off. I do highly recommend not to do business with them. I was dissatisfied with the service they provide.

TERRIBLE way to run a business!!! I went in 2 weeks ago and got an estimate to stich a tear in my drivers seat. I was told it would take 1 to 1 1/2 hrs @ $100/hr and I said OK and made a appointment for today. My wife and I drive there to drop the car off and then the boss came out to take a look at the car. I am now told it could take 3 to 4 hours to do the job!!! They need to have competent people doing their initial quote for an estimate!!! DON'T go here you'll be sorry ;(PS-- after posting this I read the other reviews below. WOW -- I guess the gal I talked with this morning is the owner. She is a lousy business person with NO customer service .

Was not impressed, wait time was two months past date given. Had to wait to pick it up due to being out of town for work for about a month. Picked it up and found cut in fabric and rub marks looks like from being moved around that caused holes in seats. Cut lines from poor installation around zipper area. Fabric was covering bolt holes for seat to be attached properly. We were told to cut it on our own. We were also blamed for rub mark holes witch was impossible. The cut marks by zipper she said oh well it happens. After no return calls we took it back down and showed her in person and she could careless!!! Not even a apology. Well not be back what a shame. Customers should be cared about!

I am anything but satisfy with the service. Customer is just awful, terrible, worst I have ever seen. The husband John seem to be ok but the wife Lynn need not to be upfront dealing with customer.I was referred to Haxton Canvas by "Shane" from Clemen Marina. I should have read the review before I hired them. Don't listen the Shane. Go somewhere, don't do business with these people.Anyways, I hired them to make me the top boot for my Bimini. They charged me right away before the job is done. I paid $90 for it. They took a week or so to complete the job. The top boot is very small. I took it back right away to have them add more material. Lynn told me she would add 5 inches to it. About a week later I went to pick up the top boot, Lynn charged me another $20. Paid for it, took it home and it doesn't fit.At this point I was more upset the way Lynn treated me I asked for a refund. Lynn said "now it's a custom job" and denied my refund. She clearly don't understand how customer service work. I could have been a long term customer but until she adjust/learn her customer service skill I will never do business with them again.

Haxtons boat canvas was by far the best quality I have ever seen. I am 61 years old and have had boats for over 45 yrs, w/many new and used tops. When I compare theirs to any of the "others", there is no comparison. The quality and the detail is by far the best. Did I mention customer service, Lynn is the nicest person, paying attention to the customers details, asking all the right questions that need to be asked, to do a complete job to your specs. Any questions I had she could answer. When I bought my 20ft. 06 Hewes it had a Haxton top, I am just replacing it because we need a mooring cover, and just decided to put on a complete new top on [to match] after talking it over with Lynn. WOW my boat looks like a new one! Also my wife LOVES it, which really counts when I paid for it. Hands down the best quality tops anywhere near here, I live in Brush Prairie Wa. and there are many top places closer, but did not even consider them.

WOW,...Just WOW... What a horrible experience dealing with Lynn whom I'm now learning by reading the previous reviews, (which I wish I would of looked up and read before) is the owner (s) wife. Glad to hear it wasn't just me she treated like dirt under her feet. Not enough energy to waste anymore of my time writing a full accounting other than to say, If you don't mind dealing with a nasty, rude individual who will seriously make you feel like you made an extremely poor choice in choosing haxton's to do your boat top, then bring it in. Otherwise you are far better off looking somewhere else. Like others have said before me, the husband was a very nice man, but not enough to ever return. Based on all the same brand boats that clogged there parking area, I assume there bread and butter is paid through building boat tops for that manufacture rather than having to deal with everyday clients. Cheers.

I found my experience with Haxton's to be a pleasure. I needed a mooring cover for my boat. Lynn and John were both very accommodating and the cover fits like a glove. If you need any canvas or upholstery work done on your toys, I highly recommend giving them a call!!

We have used Haxton's Canvas for many years for all of our customers repairs and modifications on the boats we sell. They have always been very professional and have completed the work on time and on budget. They are very well known in the industry and have a great reputation among all the boat manufactures' we work with professionally. We do recommend them to our customers and we would recommend them to anyone looking for canvas and upholstery repairs. Chris Young

This place has to be one of the worst for taking care of their customers. I bought a boat that just had most of the seat cushions recovered by Haxtons. I Wanted all the seats to match so I unfortunately took it back to haxtons to get the final 2 recovered.. they put me off for several weeks before I could even drop off my seats. Then when I go to my appointment she says it s going to be two more weeks. After the second week sh says they are still waiting for the upholstery?????? I thought that s why I waited the first few weeks in the first place ... arrogant and rude every time I call. They could careless that it s in the middle of Sumer and they have my cushions tore apart... BUYER BEWARE!! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND HOPE NONE OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY DO! Customer service is not what it use to be

Workmanship is perfect, I had them build me a custom camper back plus a cover for running down hiway.i explained what I'd like to John and Lynn they tock it from there. First trip was up B.C. Coast about 400 miles round trip. I was able to use everything they built and couldn't believe how perfect the fit was.The only thing they should do is leave that dog home , and I love dogs seems it stresses Lynn out.North river 3100 .

IF YOU CARE WHAT YOUR UPHOLSTRY LOOKS LIKE, DO NOT TAKE IT HERE.I took my boat seat in there for a repair after a referral that they were the place to take a difficult project. The cushion had a small opening at one of the seams due to wear on the stitching. The person I spoke with when I dropped it off said that they were just going to take the cover off and restitch a few inches each side of the repair. I advised that this was not acceptable and that I wanted it re-stitched the entire length so that it didnt look like a band aid, most important an eyesore. I said that I would like this done to both sides of the cushion because the other side is likely to wear and want to avoid taking the seat apart and doing this all over again. Since my vinyl was in great shape he agreed and said they would do it.The person also saw some small holes near the edge of the visible area and said that while the vinyl is removed they will stretch them out of sight. I thought this was a great idea and advised them to proceed. Wrote down everything that should be done and took all my information he stated it would be two weeks to complete. After two weeks went by I gave them a call, to my surprise they hadn't even started it. The woman that answered the phone was extremely rude about it saying its a busy time of year. She said they would get to it and would be finished the following week. Two weeks later I received a call saying it was ready. When I arrived at their facility and looked at my seat, guess what, they did exactly what I didn't want them to do, stitch on each side of the seam... It looked horrible, more of an eyesore that it was before I brought it in. When I pointed it out to the woman she got really defensive and said "what so you expect, its a repair and as good as it will get". I pointed out additional poor workmanship and she got even more rude saying I should have just replaced the fabric. She was even more insulting by charging me $125 for something I could have mad look a lot better with a needle and thread without removing the seat.I was expecting to pay a lot more than this if the job was done correctly. If they couldn't so the job because they lack the skills or the time to spend on my seat, they should have said so.I immediately drove the seat to a competitor that I should have taken the seat to before. They advised that had ruined the possibility of repairing the stitching and that they would hopefully be able to salvage the vinyl. It will cost me another $350 to repair but they guaranteed they would make it look right and have it ready in 1 week. They also said that if they would have done a job like that they wouldn't have charged me for it.If you want to wait past a promised deadline and have your vinyl project look worse than it did before, then these are your guys.

People, don t use this company. Lynn your rude AF, and you would be the last place I would recommend. You acted as though you didnt want my business. I offed a small deposit with a Visa card but that wasn t enough. I drove from Rainier for nothing. Maybe you should let people know what the criteria for the work to be done before they show up! I even had two different conversations with your people!! What a mess. Your an embarrassment.

I was going to stop by today to have them do some alterations on the canvas of my boat. However, now I will be looking elsewhere, they have lost my business forever. I was dropping off my boat at Portland Marine Electronics, which is right behind Haxton's and you have to drive through Haxton's lot to get to PME's lot. I stopped at the entrance to PME's lot and stopped to run inside to find out where they wanted me to park my boat, leaving my dad with the truck. In the two minutes I was away from my truck & boat, an employee of Haxton's came out yelling and cussing at my dad for having the boat parked there. My dad told her it would be moved in just a minute. The angry worker stormed off and got a forklift, which she proceeded to drive recklessly around my dad, my truck, and my boat at a high rate of speed. At one point my dad said she was within 6 inches of my brand new $70,000 boat, cussing at him the whole time she did it. Neither my truck nor my boat were blocking anything, and it was only there for a few minutes. Not only was the lady employee endangering my boat and truck, but also my dad's health and safety. I was going to go into Haxton's to talk with them about some alterations to my boat's canvas top after dropping off my boat at PME, but I left without even going in. They will never get my business, I'm a lost customer for life.
