After 11 years and 170,000 miles, my 12 WRX lost compression in one cylinder. And then, the fifth gear synchro started acting up. Should I buy a new car? Or, should I fix what I got? I was aware of Mike s reputation, but I lived some 800 miles distant. Finding a competent, professional shop closer to home is not as easy as it sounds. I liked Mike s recommendations: build a new engine around a warranted Subaru short block. This is exactly what he did about six months ago to my WRX. Have I had any issues? No. Not a single one. He replaced my transmission a few weeks ago in early December. Dropped it off in the morning; picked it up in the afternoon. Have I had any issues with the new transmission? No. Not a single one. You Subaru folks around Bend are spoiled having Subie Tech in town. Some of us have to drive a few miles. Thanks Mike and crew, I really appreciate what you ve done sorting out my like-new WRX.

I ve been coming to SubieTech for years now. Mike did an amazing job on my FP Black STI build. We spent a year planing and working out every detail. We built the car around 2-3 years ago dynod over 500whp, Bend calibration did a great job tuning it on the mustang dyno. Hasn t had a single problem the whole I ve had it, and I drive the hell out of it and it s at 30psi of boost.These are the only people I trust with my car and genuinely good people.

I randomly came across SubieTech on Instagram, saw the good reviews and liked that Mike is a Subaru specialist. Needed my intake valves walnut blasted and I would much rather have a Subaru specialist than a basic mechanic do it. It was his first time walnut blasting and installing an AOS (plus a coolant breather fitting) all in the same day and he worked almost an hour and a half past closing on a Friday. Many thanks to Mike and everyone at SubieTech. I live 3+ hours away but glad I brought my WRX to him and would bring it in again.

Hi have used and work with Subietech for 5 years and find them to be professional, friendly, considerate, and thorough with their work. I am a Westfalia enthusiast since 1991. I discovered Mike Manser (Subitech) in 2017 when he rebuilt by 2005 Subaru Imprezza and Forrester engine Conversion for my restored 1990 Westfalia Camper.Ove the years I have learned that Mike is a master mechanic with integrity. He never abondons his customers even when they are far away or encouter difficult problems. I highly recommend Subitech for Westfalia engine conversions, Subaru rebuilds, and general all around engine repairs. Thank you Subitech.. Subietech did amazing work on my 2015 STI helping me finish installing the last few pieces of my Stage 3 kit before upgrading my turbo. They even installed a baseline tune so I could easily pick up my car and dial things in with my tuner. The best experience I've ever had with any auto-shop & mechanic - BY FAR! Mike is honest, trustworthy, and affordable. He will tell it to you straight, and get the job done right the first time. Don t trust this shop! I took my 2007 WRX in to have the small amount of smoke out of the exhaust diagnosed. to my surprise, after SubiTech only had my car for a couple of hours, they called me stating that my piston rings have gone bad and that I would need to have my entire engine disassembled for part replacement for around five thousand dollars, (they told me this information without even compression testing my engine) this was a major red flag, especially to a mechanic, and I ended up taking my car to another shop, that did do a compression test and found out that it was just a bad turbo bearing, saving me thousands of dollars!!

These folks are wonderful. Not just for performance cars, they've done great work on my Outback to keep it running. Very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Always a great experience with these guys! I have had a few sets of injectors cleaned by them. They are normally a 24hr turn around and are very reasonably priced. They have a online pay option that makes the transaction a breeze. Can't recommend these guys enough!

Five stars!Top notch service. I'm so glad I found an awesome Subaru Mechanic. Mike knows Subaru's and does top quality work.My turbo needed to be replaced and also had the timing belt done. I swear my car runs better than the day I bought it.Went back to Mike because I had been putting off replacing the struts for too long. Decided to add a 2" lift to our Outback because the timing was right. really pleased with the results and the attention to detail. I will feel much more comfortable driving in the snow this winter... plus the lift looks super cool.

I took my car to this place and I was thrilled by their service, efficiency and honesty. Tori was super attentive and got me in right away. Mike, the mechanic, worked on my car and did a fantastic job! I ve been to other places and probably got ripped off because I don t know much about cars but Mike only repaired what I really needed and fixed a couple of other things at no cost which was a huge bonus. Hands down BEST service, communication, and value I ve experienced with a mechanic!!!I came to subitech from a referral from a friend. It s always hard to find a trustworthy and honest mechanic who does good work and diagnostics without over charging. My first appointment was for brake pads and rotors. Not only did I get greeted by a lovely receptionist but Mike completed it in a timely manner and at a fair expense! I will forever use this shop for all my automotive needs. Very professional, I wouldn't even think to bring my Subaru anywhere else. Michaels passion for Subaru shows in his work and that type of care is what is most important to me when having my car worked on, I'm planning on buying a new Subaru soon and will definitely be calling Subietech for the pre purchase inspection.

I had them order a stand alone ecu for my project car and was very specific about what I needed. Ecu came in and didn't have the the engine safety functions that I was very specific about none of the features he told me out would have. Complete waste of time and got my stock wire harness back all hacked up and ruined. I ended up getting a much better ecu and harness for cheaper than the junk they tried to sell me. Very disappointed. Stay away from subiehack!
