$477 to do diagnostic & replace brake bulb. BUT didn t reassemble leaving all parts scattered across floor of vehicle. Which was picked up Friday PM. They are closed Sat & Sun. I needed the vehicle for out of town family guests but was unable to use it. So a large rental was required. A massive inconvenience and unexpected expense. Will also lose chunk of my time next week getting it reassembled.They offered to reassemble which was impossible due to family commitments for Thanksgiving week. So the owner returned $39.00 on credit card as compensation.UPDATE: They caused a wiring issue. Just discovered, months after they replaced burned out brake bulb, that I only had one working break light and no right turn signal. Why? They installed brake light wiring into turn signal housing & turn signal wiring into brake light housing.Response to owner comment:I called in the afternoon to say I didn t want the doors repaired & would pick up the vehicle at 5pm.Since I had to get a ride to pick up my vehicle I could only come at 5pm. I did NOT arrive at noon. I have a witness to when I dropped off the car and picked it up, at 5pm. I have all calls made to you on my cell phone bill as well as a witness to every call I made to you that day. Check your facts before you blame the customer.

Clean shop skilled technicians and the owner Craig really understands customer service. I have had my truck worked on twice, unrelated issues, and I have been very pleased with the outcome. Craig, the owner, went out of his way to make sure I got my truck back on the road at a really good price. It's hard to find a business that believes the customer comes first. My beloved 35 year old Nissan truck needed a door handle repair. The gentlemen at Specialty said what they were gonna do and they did it, in less time and for less money than estimated. Best of all, under their careful work, the 35 year old door panel came through great! 10/10.

This is the second time I have brought my Jeep in for service and I will never go anywhere else. From start to finish I was very impressed. They were able to get my car in to diagnose an oil leak right away. They were up front and honest about what was going on and got the repairs done quickly. The leak is fixed and I'm very happy with the completed work. The cherry on top is that they came in significantly under what they quoted me, which was a nice surprise when picking up my car. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

My first experience was fantastic. Great, courteous staff that were competent in their performance and unlike Lithium Motors they actually pick up the phone when you call them. They are also kind enough to provide a shuttle service which I really appreciated. They won themselves a new customer in my regard and I now feel that I have a fair and competent automotive repair shop. I would highly recommend Specialty Automotive Services. We broke down while on short vacation in Central Oregon, lost our water pump on our Dodge diesel. Showed up with our problem on a Monday morning, they were able to get us taken care and on our way very quickly and repairs were reasonable to say the least. Attention to detail and getting repairs done correctly was very much appreciated.

I took my truck to Specialty Automotive after having issues with another shop that was doing the work. These guys greatly surpassed all expectations and will be the only shop to work on my vehicles from here on out. Craig was great with communication and kept me up to date every step of the way. They were straight to the point and I knew exactly what to expect, no surprises. I had an engine light come on on my Jeep. Called SA & they got me in real fast. Ended up being a simple fix but glad I got it professionally looked over. Will definitely use them again. Great guys & customer service!

They're nice but their service is questionable. First time there I had a clutch assembly replaced. Went back two days later saying there was something wrong. They disregarded everything and declined to resolve it. Then had to go back two months later for them to replace the entire clutch assembly again under warranty bcs it was ruined. Then they did an oil change. 1,500 miles into that change I get an oil leak. Turns out the oil filter seal was leaking and I had to pay full price for a new oil change. They say they hardly ever see this issue, my entire life I've never had an oil filter leak but the very first oil change from this shop the oil filter leaks and they make me pay full price for a new change. What happened to warranting your work?!? I will not be back bcs I can't trust the work being done.

This is a busy shop, but they squeezed my car in where they could, and completed the repairs a little sooner than anticipated. Communication was excellent all the way through, from explaining what was wrong with the vehicle, to updating me on the progress. They seem to have found the root cause of a problem that s been going on over two years.

The owner, Craig, genuinely cares about making happy customers and his team does great work as well. When things go well, anyone looks good. When things don't go well is when you see how committed a company is to their customers. We had some work done recently on my daughter's car. There was a delay with the parts arriving when expected. While it wasn't the shop's fault, Craig went above a beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I will return because I know I'll be treated right! Thanks, Craig!

They went beyond what the diagnosed problem was, to make sure that nothing else was wrong with my 20 year old truck. I appreciate their efforts to "do it right" and I DO recommend them. It was also done quickly, versus a waiting period that is so common these days. Give 'em a call.

Took my campervan into these guys for a overheating issue, ended up having a cracked block and they replaced and handled everything very well, obviously not the news I wanted to hear but these guys were professional and got me back on the road with a new engine and the van is running great. If I lived in the area they would be my go to shop.

I had the most pleasant experience working with Brad and his staff at Specialty Automotive. My engine blew on the side of the road and I was able to set up a tow straight to the shop. Though the news was detrimental about my car, Brad was so kind and direct in delivering the options to me. He was patient with me while I found a service to come pick up the car. He then allowed me to contact him and ask questions about possible used cars I was interested in - this led me to find a great option. I brought it in for a Buyer's Inspection and received in-depth information and an honest opinion about the car I was hoping to purchase. The entire experience led to only a 1.5 week turnover from my engine unexpectedly blowing hours outside of town to finalizing a purchase of a reliable vehicle that I was truly excited about! I couldn't have done it as quickly or with as much confidence without the support of Specialty Automotive. I have never worked with a mechanic that was this friendly, accommodating, and considerate. Every staff member I dealt with had the BEST customer service. How refreshing it was to team up with a business that holds exceptional values in customer care. My car started leaking blue fluid a week before I was supposed to take a cross country trip. I explained my situation with a tight timeline and they had my car in and looked at within 48 hours. Brad was very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator about the needs for repairing the car, the timeline it would take, and up front about the estimated price. When changes inevitably happened in the process of getting the car back on the road, Brad always let me know right away and gave me realistic expectations. The car now is running smoothly and is taking me across the country. Thank you everyone who helped!! I LOVE Specialty Automotive Service & Repair! I went in with a minor transmission and minor oil leak so I was prepared for a semi-big fix. These guys were so professional. This is our only vehicle and they offered to shuttle my son and I where we needed to go.As a single mom I had to pick which problem to fix first as the budget didn't allow me to do it all at once. They were very helpful in helping me decide. I will definitely be returning to have the other issue fixed.Kind, professional, and a reputable company. As a Bend resident since the early 80's, there is no other repair business I recommend more than Specialty Auto. Their pricing is extremely fair, service is top notch, and their integrity is unmatched. Don't waste your time going anywhere else!!

They quoted me $2000 plus labor for a part that costs less than $1000 OEM. And that wasn t the problem! It was a $10 Oring that was causing the leak and they said the whole thing needs replacement. Watch out with these guys. Glad I told them to stop working on my vehicle.Edit:1. Yes that was a honest review, I was told the car needed additional troubleshooting for the 02 sensors and I told them to stop.2. You diagnosed my issues but never gave me a definitive answer on why I had a rough idle just said it s possible it could be this or that 3. If anyone wants to look up part# 21305-AM64A you can see this part costs $1,181 brand new. I was quoted $2,091.90 for the part and an additional $174.90 for labor. Mind you, I had a different shop look at it and I was told it was just a leaking Oring which cost me no more than $10.4. The Oring was fixed and there s no additional leak. So therefore you are wrong again.This shop is dishonest, will try to upsale you items you don t need, then will try to publicly say your review wasn t honest. Very disappointed with the service and the quality of customer service.

The crew of this Shop is awesome!We are on a road-trip and our breaks and wheel bearings gone bad. Every Shop said that they were unfortunately booked for the next weeks.These guys squeezed us in and helped us to visit the US! As we talked to other costumers they were all happy about this shop and they bring in all there cars and trucks.While waiting there is a shuttle service - great job too! I would recommend the community center to relax and do some sports!Thanks for helping German Visitors :)

Long story short, after many trips to local Ram dealership for repair, and 2200 in replacement parts my truck still had massive issues. Not only did Specialty Auto figure it out, they fixed possible future issues AND the bill was less than I planned for. I was ready to get rid of my truck and now it works perfectly. This is a very honest, very thorough company and I won't go anywhere else from now on. I am very appreciative.Services: Electrical repair, Auto maintenance

Sadly I have a negative review here. I felt completely ripped off by this spot. My truck had a check engine light. I red the codes and it said O2 sensors and told me which sensors needed replaced. I called this spot up. Told them the code and asked if I could get it taken care of. Pretty simple job. They schedule me for a week out. Week later, I drop it off, do the juggle with the wife and kids. Around 4pm that day I hadn t heard back so I call to check in. They let me know it was indeed the O2 sensors. Great. So is it ready? Nope, they don t have the parts. So I ll need to schedule another appointment a week later. Okay. I go to pick up the truck and find out I owe them $225 for the inspection. After throwing a big stink they gave me $30 off. Forever lost my business on this one. Can t imagine how many others they have gotten for simple jobs like this.

I ve taken 4 different vehicles to this shop and have had excellent experiences each time. The staff are very knowledgeable and the customer service is outstanding. They are able to get me in on short notice and always complete the repairs in a professional and timely fashion. I have been using specialty auto since I moved to bend years ago. Not only has the staff treated me with the upmost courtesy, but they ve been able to get me in and out the door at an incredibly efficient time frame. From breaking down and almost missing my anniversary trip, to multiple times I ve asked them for help on a short notice, the crew was able to exceed expectations and get me back on the road. I can t thank you guys enough.
