If you are looking for a diesel mechanic in the area, this is the place! Shelbey does some incredible work, and has honest and fair prices. I took him a 2nd gen Dodge that was blowing white smoke within a week he had it running brand new. When I went to pick up my Dodge he had it all cleaned up and waxed, had the whole engine bay cleaned, and even the undercarriage!Services: Exhaust, Electrical, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Auto detailing, Car waxing

What a great person Shelbey is. My truck broke down on a family vacation in Albany Oregon. He came right over helped me get the truck and camper to his shop let myself and my wife say the night in our camper at his property. The next day diagnosed the problem tracked down the parts let me borrow a car to get the part and fixed it to get us bacteria to our vacation in one day. The price was right. I have a 2019 Chevy Colorado with the little 2.8 Duramax diesel engine. Unfortunately not very many shops, even gm dealers, know much about these engines. Same case here, but instead of shying away from it, Shelby took the opportunity to learn and did a great job despite the circumstances. I started the repairs in my driveway until I realized I wasnt setup to comeplete the job. Called Shelby, he came to look at it, and towed it to his shop a few blocks away. It was right at the height of the part shortage, and so it took a few months to get the parts and some specific tools for this engine. I appreciate that they let me in the shop to see what was happening any time I stopped by and got a run down on the process and what the next step was. They were honest and prices were fair. Repair was at 90k miles, currently at 112k miles and the truck runs great! Thank you Shelby and team at LC Diesel!

Skilled, competent, honest repair shop, would recommend highly to anyone with a diesel engine!I've taken way too long to write this review. My 2015 Ford F-250 diesel limped into town after throwing numerous exhaust system codes... and Shelby took the time to properly analyze the problem (NO2 sensors) and to really fix the problem. The truck has performed flawlessly since his repair. Shelby communicated clearly with me about the status of his analysis and repair...and in the end, unbelievably ... he offered to ***drive my truck back to me in Seattle*** when he came here to visit a friend. He saved me a ton of grief, and was honest and fair, and most of all competent to do the repair correctly.It should be noted that this car had thrown a code just prior to my trip, and I'd taken it to another mechanic who said it was just a failure of the DEF system to kick off a cleaning cycle of the Diesel Particulate Filter. He ran a cleaning cycle, and told me I'd be fine taking the car to California and back (I was just going to Albany, OR...but he said I'd be good for 1000s of miles). He actually had NOT found the cause of the problem, and didn't really repair the vehicle. Shelby, at LC Diesel LLC - DID properly diagnose and fix the problem. Glad I found them. Shelby Put on an Oil Bypass system for me. 2005 F250 6.0 power stroke. Broke down near his shop with a horse trailer. Lost oil pressure and would not start. Shelby and I both suspected a failed stand pipe seal or dummy plug seal. Had the truck towed to his shop and Shelbey towed the trailer for us. Shelbey got us back on the road by 11pm. The Stand pipe seal was the cause. Shelbey went above and beyond for us. Shelbey is a king amongst mechanics and men. Rarely do you see a man so dedicated to his craft whilst also being a beaming beacon of altruism to the world.He spent 72 hours sun up to sun down getting my chariot back on the road. They did an amazing job, needed injectors and oil lines replaced in 3 days and they got it done in 2. Drove from Albany to Phoenix Arizona and had not one problem, Shelby and his crew are very nice guys and work hard efficiently and do things the correct way without cutting corners to make their job easier. I d recommend this to anybody who needed diesel work done in the area.

Shelby is great. I have had issues with a few of my cars and Shelby was always quick to respond to me and get my vehicle into his shop immediately to diagnose the issue. He has twice driven from Albany to Corvallis to tow my car back to his shop. Shelby stands behind his work and when one of my cars continued to have problems he simply had me bring it back in to fix it. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Took our 2000 F250 7.3 in and he did not fix it. He had it for 3 months before we got it back. It did not run right, smoked and couldn't get up to speed to match flow of traffic. Sent it back and then he had it for 6 more months. We didn't get more than 20 miles before the truck gave us issues. He at one point had used the bed for storage. Poor communication, quit responding to us. And fought us on what was actually wrong. We have started to dig back into the engine ourselves and he put in the wrong sized O rings. He did not fix the truck in a timely manner the first time and after it sitting at his shop for 6 months we decided to take it home, he never actually fixed our truck. Got referred to Shelby about a year ago, he worked on my car before he had the walls up on his shop. He diagnosed, fixed and gave me knowledge about my vehicle for better maintenance and understanding. He kept me informed throughout the entire process, super friendly and cool guy. Referred one of my friends to him this year and it was great to see the shop up, done and running well. This shop hands down is not like the rest. It may say diesel but Shelby the head mechanic did an amazing job on my 03 F150. Old Betsy (my truck) has had good days bad days, days I ve worked on it, days the not most desirables have worked on it. I needed a good looking over for my trip to California and I m happy I came here.Shelby was able to make the most of what I had, rerouting wires, taking time to clean my motor before opening it up for new gaskets and air intake maintenance. He answered questions and allowed me to be as involved as I wanted.It started with simple questions like what s important to me and how he could help, the. Down to the gritty of the real important stuff. He ran diagnostics, checked filters, plugs, coils, ran a smoke test to find all my leaks and so much more. Well safe to say a week later I e waited to write this and my truck has never ran better and my trip to California from Oregon was a success with better gas mileage and less stress.He let me know of some small things I could do on my own to save some cash as well.If that isn t an honest man, let alone a mechanic, I don t know what is. Privately owned and operated I can promise you ll be happy. Shelbey does amazing work. Had my 1999 2500 Ram in for a full front end over haul, new steering shaft and steering box and new headlights. All the work was top of the line. Shelbey was very up front on the cost and made every effort to keep the cost within my budget. They were able to get my truck in on short notice. The repair took the amount of time estimated. Cost was right on par with their estimate. My truck was having issues with throttle control went into limp mode! Tried to get into the dealership and they told me tough luck with Covid. Called Shelbey up and he got me in right away! My truck is an eco diesel and very temperamental and not many people know it but the engine is actually a Fiat diesel. Though Shelbey wasn t super familiar with that motor and the programming, he managed to do all the necessary research and called and got some answers. He kept me informed the entire time he had my vehicle in his shop about every little thing and the cost of parts and labor as they came about. Before I knew it he called me and told me it was ready to pick up! Runs like a gem. Couldn't ask for a better mechanic. Super friendly, relatable guy with an abundance of knowledge and skill and yet still willing to learn. Really appreciate Shelbey tackling my 04 Duramax's head and injector job. First shop I talked to didn't want to do it. Next shop wanted $3k up front to get on a 3 month waiting list.Great communication while the work was being done. Trucks running great. I have an LB7 Duramax that suffered injector loss. This is no easy motor to work on and very complex. Some diesel mechanics even shy away from them. LC Diesel did a professional job and made it a priority to make my truck run again. Extremely impressed with their knowledge, work ethic , commitment and communication with this issue. He is my now go to guy and one I would Recommend to anyone needing work done. Polite, professional and prepared abs trained to do the work.

Lc Diesel is one of the best shops I've been to. They literally do it all and do it very well! I had them do lots of work on my 2014 Chevy Duramax including an Air dog lift pump, cp3 conversion, exhaust work and much more! This place was wonderful! They made me feel like my car was as important as theirs. The communication was on par and I felt like i left with a safer car for my family and it didn't break the bank! Worst experience of my life shop talks a good game. But did not provide quality work at all and charged a premium. Truck took 3 days longer that it was supposed to. Would not return my original parts I had replaced. Got it back failed 3 days later costing me over 9k trust me take your business to any other shop. This shop did an aftermarket air intake and did all new fluids on my ram 3500. I use it for towing and the owner here guided me towards the right service intervals as well as oil and fuel additives for performance and longevity.
