Bought a car there over a year ago had service done on it to keep up with good maintenance. Had one of those extended warranties bought through them. My transmission failed and smileys did not honor my warranty. They are very shady and are masters of scam. If they vowel to the support of the local community like they say they do then they should be able to turn a blind eye to someone down on their luck. And they disrespect women. I feel sorry for the women working for them #. I would not recommend this place to any one you are free to read other reviews to prove my point.

I was there today (12/12/23) and had a tire repaired. Great job finding the problem and repairing the tire. Washed the car( did a lousy job!). It wasn't vacuumed and was still half wet. I get a better wash at the car wash!

Prices and specials are not what advertised. The 269$ brake special ends up at 340$ with the lower quality parts. I will say the guy who answers phone for service is nice and understanding but the lady who takes payment was short with me for asking a simple ?. Also didn't wash the car with the oil change special. Plenty of other dependable shops in Norwalk to choose from.

Wow! Really underhanded business practices! -Blatantly selling warranties that they had no intention of honoring from the very beginning. Lying to customers. And Travis Smiley himself is something else! So disrespectful to women! He doesn t even know the names of some of his best former employees. No wonder his employee turnover rate is so high. Everyone who knows me in the community knows I m not a complainer and I ve never left a scathing review like this, but I feel like the community needs to know. This man should not be doing business in our town!

Smiley Automotive put 4 new tires on my Jeep today. When I picked up my car, not only were there for new tires, but it was also clean and shining bright! They went above and beyond to wash my car. Everyone at the dealership was so nice and willing to work with me. I will be back!

I always went to Mr. Tire but my dad recommended this place and they did my breaks for $250 cheaper, which is awesome. AND they washed my truck lol I didn't even recognize it when they pulled it around. They were super nice too. Will return for sure.

Bought my First Car from Smiley Automotive. Best Car Dealership in town! You can feel the smile through the phone when you call, sales team works hard to find you exactly what you need. Finance department won t stop until they get you financed they always go the extra mile! Even if they don t have what your looking for on the lot they can locate it and bring it in for you. Service department is timely and efficient! Can t ask for more! They always give you excellent Customer Service with a Smile!!!

Service mgr. and mechanics need to talk to each other better about how to approach issues on a vehicle if they can't fix it with in the right amount of time it should have taken about 1 hour they spent 8 hrs. on it they day and couldn't fix it until the next day but they broke a transmission line that I had to pay for . The only thing I wanted done was replace the dipstick tube it was broke I bought the dip stick tube ! But still cost me just under 1000.00 dollars and they cracked the driver side manifold so I left worst than when I come there ! 2002 Ford excursion

I first purchased my car 2 years ago and recently bought a motorcyle from them as well, and ive been nothing but satisfied with their sales and service department. Super friendly, very informative and always checking in and making sure I've been pleased with my purchases. I do all my regular maintance with them and they are always fair and have taken care of many little things without even billing me for their service! Amazing place and anytime I get a chance I recommend someone check for a car there first! I will be a returning customer I'm certain of that!

I am not sure of the number of Vehicles that we have Purchased form Smileys. All I know is that for the past 17 years all our cars have come from there! Great ownership goes along with great service that we have received in the past. A recent PURCHASE of a 2021 Explorer again signifies the faith we have with this business!!

I have never worked for a company that is willing to work with me and my frustrating schedule. They truly mean it when they say you are apart of the family. I enjoy working here so much that I get there extremely early to get set up for the day. The sales team I work with are amazing I would never want to trade them for anything. The sales team managers are very family oriented and they due encourage a work home life balance. I never belive companys when they say that but Smiley Automotive has proved me wrong! I am so greatful they took me with no car sales experience and are wiling to give me a shot and train me! The mechanic team is also one of a kind. I always annoy them with what I want to do to upgrade my truck. They acually tell me good brands of equipment and tell me what they prefer to put on their own vehicals. All of them are so outgoing and truthful that I can't wait to see the magic they can pull on getting my truck the way I can picture it in my head. Thank you Smiley Automotive for everything you do to make sure all of your employees are happy and excited to get to work!! Can't wait to see where my careers future goes with you guys!!!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. BUYER BEWARE. They do not stand behind the vehicles they sell. They ll show you a clean car report then act completely surprised when it breaks down 4+ times. The first time my vehicle got towed the tow truck driver actually laughed when he saw it was from Smiley because of how many vehicle of theirs they tow. Absolutely rude service. Worst experience. GM decided to slap the excuse of mechanics get tired of seeing the vehicle over and over . Well maybe they wouldn t see the vehicle over and over if it was fixed correctly. Absolutely disgusting excuse for a business. After pulling teeth getting them to buy the vehicle back (didn t even get all of my money back for driving it less than a month because it spent the rest of the time in the shop). Vehicle was back on the lot in less than 24 hours (crazy how it has three major problems to be fixed that Weren t). Sickening how they re doing business - won t be in business long.

This is the only dealer we have needed since our first experience. We have purchased at least 4 vehicles since then. It is true - they do treat you like family. This is true at the time of purchase as well as for any needed repairs. Smileys is also our own personal mechanic for all our vehicles. There is no reason to go elsewhere.

Buyer beware! Smiley automotive does not stand behind the vehicles they sell! Purchased a vehicle 2 months ago, it came with a 6-month 6,000-mile warranty, had engine failure after 2,000 miles. Vehicle was dropped off at the closest General Motors dealer for repair. Smiley approved the repair work over the phone. Then refused to pay any of the cost after the work was underway even though the broken items were to be covered under the policies of the warranty! They offered NO assistance whatsoever after multiple calls with their service department and the General Manager. Thankfully the Ken Ganley dealership in Sandusky & General Motors stand behind their product and offered assistance with the repairs and were very helpful through the entire process.

Small town business with small town customer service! They always go out of their way to ensure their customers are taken care of. The only place I will take my truck to for repairs. We bought all of our vehicles at Smiley s!

I absolutely love my 2020 Chevrolet equinox, my sales representative was Miguel, he was very polite, patient, and made sure that I understood everything before continuing, I had a lease, they were able to get me out of my lease and into a vehicle that is now mine, my experience at Smiley Automotive was a very welcoming establishment (:

I notice a couple of reviews say 'they treat you like family'. . . maybe for some, but my family doesn't steal and take advantage of me. When they are selling to you they are all smiles and friendly. They take advantage of customers by selling unnecessary services and greatly overcharge for them. One example is gap insurance. First of all, if they are selling gap insurance they are selling you a car you couldn't afford in the first place. Secondly, the policy has a FULL RETAIL price of $299. The bank sells the policy to Smiley for $225. Smiley then charges their customer the 'family friendly' price of $800. I'm all for them making a profit, but charging $500 over retail is criminal. Now if you cancel the policy the day after signing up for it you get a full refund per the terms of the contract. It will take Smiley 8+ weeks to give you your money back and they are not so friendly and cooperative in the process. Do your homework and go somewhere else. By all means don't send family or friends here. They are crooks, thieves, and thugs. . . a terrible company to deal with.

Very good selection. Staff didn't try to up or over sell.Will be back for another car later this year for the Mrs.Prices were on par for the condition, miles and age. And condition is key here. Vehicles are really well maintained from a guy who used to work at a dealership.

Very professional & relaxed environment. Salesmen were very respectful, personal and not pushy in any way. Would certainly do business with again and recommend to friends and family! The team also went above and beyond following up with companies to try to negotiate better finance rates without me even asking.
