Michael was great! He called to check when I was running late for my rental. He helped to extend it without any issues when the snow was bad. The car was fantastic to drive. Prices were the best in tri-state. I will definitely be back. Thanks Michael!

I booked and paid for a car for a 1 way trip to the airport. In a rural area so I had to drive 2 hours to get to this location as they were one of the only locations that offered 1 way rentals. After booking the rental, I called Hertz do be sure everything was all set to go with the one way rental because no one was picking up at the physical shop. after being on the phone for hours trying to get someone they ASSURRED, PROMISED, TOLD ME TO STOP WORRYING, that my reservation was set and I would have no problem picking up my car in 3 days for the 1 way trip. The morning of the pick up, we were up very early to get the car and make our flight. On the way to the rental location I received a call from Tacketts stating that we could not pick up the car because they didn't have any cars AND they didn't offer one way rentals....not sure which was the real answer/reason. I explained that I confirmed all this with hertz but she said it didn't matter and they don't control the computer so it's not her fault and nothing she could do. ending up having to reschedule my flight because of all this. Called Hertz as well and they didn't care either.

The guy at the office is good but hertz by for is the worst company to get a car from! Deceived me right out of the gate! Went to enterprise and they took care of me even matched hertz rates! Definitely stay away!

Horrible customer service. No customer service at all. My wife had a reservation for noon, they said they were waiting on a car to be returned later that afternoon when she called for their "pickup service", she she walked ten miles to get there. They never even hinted at the possibility that they wouldn't honor her reservation. Then, shortly before closing, they told her that cars were often returned after closing time. Again, they didn't suggest the possibility that they weren't going to honor her reservation, and when she asked if they had cancelled it, they said no, "the reservation doesn't just go away", so she waits longer, the guy starts closing up, and tells her she can go to Enterprise. She asks him how far she's going to have to walk, and he says it's about 10 miles away. He doesn't offer her a ride, doesn't even apologize for not honoring her reservation. It doesn't appear that being a gold member warrants gold service here, or any service at all.By the time they tell her to go to Enterprise, it's closed, and she's stuck without a ride.I had to click on one star to post. This place certainly hasn't earned it. I don't even want to think about what they'd do to your car if you brought it in for repairs.It doesn't end at mere indifference though -- after 3 hours of waiting and 2 hours of walking because they couldn't be bothered to provide their advertised pickup service, the Hertz customer representative tells her that when we made the reservation they didn't have any cars, so there wasn't really a reservation. I checked their site when I first heard there weren't any cars there to see if there was perhaps a different class available, and indeed, there were none, nor could I select any or make a reservation. So it appears (see below) that she had a reservation for the last car they had, and he gave it to someone else without a reservation.I've come across terrible reviews for Hertz Gold Service before, but didn't really give them consideration as I've used them frequently for quite a while without any real problems other than an occasional late car, accompanied by very polite, professional, representatives. Absolutely awful company! I made a reservation 2 months in advance, paid for and everything. Then a couple of hours before I was ready to leave the call and tell me no cars are available. Who runs a business like that! That was going to be my first time renting with them, but they can expect to never obtain business from me, my family, or friends.

We came in 5 minutes b4 they closed and just as we were about to get our rental the guy said his system kicked him out and wouldn't finish the transaction. Not his fault but the other place we went next didn't have that problem. So no, hertz is never getting my business.

Absolutely the most awful experience I've ever had dealing with a car rental company! Said they had a car waiting drive 45 minutes for them to tell me they didn't have anything. Called for 2 days straight and no one answered the phone! Whoever is running that place needs fired! What a joke of a business!

This place was a total disaster from day one. Very unprofessionalI do not recommend this place- it s awful. If I could rate zero stars I would. I would rather ride a bike the next time My car is in the garage then deal with these fools.

Had a problem with the reservation that was NOT Hertz's fault. Dylan took care of it and we were on our way. Very satisfied!

The folks at Tackett's are great! They really care about the customer. Fast, friendly, hometown service. You can't beat that!
