I originally planned to camp at Geneva-on-the-Lake State park. Unfortunately, our site was rained out and I had to scramble to get another. I wanted to stay near Geneva and this camp is very close. We were tent camping and this is mostly an RV camp. I would not recommend as a tent camp. Most of the sites are very close together with few trees (see Google Earth). The swimming lake has gone back to nature . Also, it costs money to use the showers Stay here:1. To be close to Geneva attractions2. Generally, a quiet place3. Ok with not swimming (Crowd tends to be older with grown kids so that demographic does not care)4. Not concerned with paying to use the showers. (I assume RV owners could care less)5. An RV owner that needs hookups and likes pull-though sites.6. Owner/front desk very friendly and helpfulStay elsewhere as a tent camper or if you are looking for swimming. Also, read past reviews - do not come here to party loudly!

Spent the weekend there for a low key Bachelorette party, we were not loud and were doing about what everyone else was doing, listening to music sitting around a fire. Our group had 6 site all together and they put us on an end. Our group was following all the rules, we double checked. We were yelled at twice and threatened to be kicked out. Our music was "too loud" (you could not hear it the next camp site over) and it was also noon on a Friday, we were never disruptive after 11pm when the actual quiet hours started. The brides mom and friend went to talk to the office because the maintenance man continued to come over and yell at us even after we did whatever he asked the following few times he had been there.A disappointment when we had booked this place a year in advanced and they were told it was going to be a lot of people coming and going because not everyone could stay all weekend. No one from the group will be going there again and I will warn any who asks, if you are not going to be silent the whole time you are there don't go.

This was a nice large campground with ample room at each site. The atmosphere was very friendly with things to keep my grandson occupied. We will plan on future visits.Nearby activities: Very close to the strip in Geneva on the Lake and Lake Erie.

This campground was amazing! It is gated so there weren't outsiders just driving through. We had a full hookup site and there were many full hook-up sites in the park. The sites were pull through and nicely sized. There is a pond that is for fishing only, and another for swimming only. The seasonal sites looked really nice as well. Most were shaded and a good size. The shower houses were super nice and super clean, some of the best I've ever been in. You do have to pay for showers, a quarter for every 3 minutes. The park was very well kept and clean. We will definitely be going back. The prices were very fair for the quality of the park.

We only stayed there for one night, but we were thoroughly impressed with the campground. We arrived after the main office closed, but the on-site hostess saw us pull up and met me before I could call her number (which was posted on the office door for after hours help). I appreciated that she was so helpful and kind after we had finished a long day of driving. The site we were on, and the ones we saw around us, were level and spacious. They were all very nice. We were situated directly across from a nice playground, which my kids appreciated after sitting in the truck for so long.A code is required to get through the main gate, and another code is required for the restroom/shower.We liked this campground enough that we plan on coming back for a longer stay next season.

We really liked it here! We stayed on that looked like a very new large concrete pad that was a perfect motorhome pull-though. The site was spacious and had a beautiful fire pit. We loved the (pond) and the many different play structures & it s proximity to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. When we come back through Ohio, we will come back to explore wine country.

What a great campground near Geneva by the Lake, Ohio. Nice big flat sites, excellent 50 amp power & voltage was excellent. WiFi could be better. It worked on & off. OTA TV was available.Easy in easy out for big rigs pulling a Jeep.Office staff was great. I like how close it was to the State Park and town. Also, there is a Dollar General about 1/4 mile away.

A diamond in the rough. This campground is extremely nice. Stayed in site E1, very big and well maintained site. Bathouse was very clean. I personally liked how the seasonal campers were separated from overnight campers. The only complaint I have is the the sewer drain sits up to high. Another great feature is that it is just minutes from Geneva On The Lake. I will definitely be back. Great rates as well!

Willow Lake Campground was a very nice, peaceful, and seemed to be safe campgrounds. It seemed to be an upscale campgrounds in a very popular region. While we were only there for the weekend, everyone in our party was very happy with the campground. It's location was perfect in that it seemed to be in the center of everything there is to do in the area. It was well maintained and clean. I would recommend camping here to anyone looking to explore Ohio's wine region!

I didnt like this campground. The swimming lake looked like a swamp as well as the fishing lake thats to be expected. The roads were hard to ride a bike on as they were gravel. The speed limit should be atleast 10 mph. And if you dont have a shower you have to pay 25 cents for 3minutes of hot water which is obsurd. The camp sites were really close together there wernt many sites under trees. The secrurity is really rude i was rideing my scooter at night but i didnt have a taillight so i had to put it awayand i so i and the next morning some other security guy says that i am banned forever with rideing it so thats awesome he said "you ran away from security." people also want to go out there way to complain about me going 7mph this is by far the worst campground ive ever went to ive also only disliked 4 out be of the many ive went to. I highly dislike the security and some people here one ladyvcalled me a brat when ive never spoke to her whilebi was riding my bike.

Well kept campground with friendly staff and decent sized pull through sites. Only thing we didn't like was the lack of shade. It is close to a great state park where you can spend time in Lake Erie or do the walking trails.

Willow Lake Campground is an excellent choice if you're looking to take your pop-up or RV to the Geneva On The Lake area. It's about a five minute drive from the strip, as well as Giant Eagle and a few other stores where you can stock up on any items you forgot. Pull through sites have full water and electric hookups, and the bath house has hot showers (bring a few quarters). I've never had a bad stay at Willow Lake.

I am a tent camper and couldn t have been more thrilled with the space I was allotted. QUIET and PEACEFUL!! Showers were immaculate and all staff friendly, helpful, and respectful.I was pleased at the service I received at check-in; I checked I. After office hours and was greeted with a friendly smiling face.Thank you for a great stay. I will definitely come back.

We stayed here this past weekend for 3 nights. I cant believe how big the lot was!!! We camp often and have never had a site that huge. Very clean campground and restrooms also. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The kids fished in the pond and spent a lot of time at the amazing playground. So close to the strip in Geneva and the huge beach at the state park. The only thing missing was a pool. That is the ONLY reason I did not give 5 stars. We will be coming back here before the summer is over to stay again. Excellent place to camp.

Nice campground and the people were very nice. Wifi was decent, lots were roomy. Only issue I had was the driveway is lined with big trees and the branches are not cut back so a good sized branch scraped my roof on the way out. Luckily there wasn't anything broken. I shouldn't have to worry about low hanging trees inside a campground!

Clean, spacious, well kept. The back G row has double concrete pads that work great for a larger coach. Very busy on weekends but weekdays are super quiet.

This is a great campground with great service. Made a reservation for late arrival. Terry met us at the gate to let us in, helped us with bringing firewood to our site, came by to make sure we were ok after hooking up the RV, and even brought us some matches when we couldn't find ours! He's a great guy, even waving us off as we left the next morning. The bathrooms were very clean, and overall the campground was in great condition. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Willow Lake Campground is a beautiful family oriented campground near Geneva on the Lake. They have a new shower house and many amenities that make the camping experience very enjoyable. There are two small lakes - one for swimming with a nice beach area for kids - and a stocked fishing lake. My kids love to ride their bikes, play on the various playgrounds, and enjoy many of the activities hosted by the campground. Parents can feel at ease - as the campground is safe and the seasonal campers are friendly. It's close to Geneva on the Lake - so we can take a five minute bicycle ride or drive to the strip to enjoy miniture golf or visit one of the wineries. It's a great summer destination.

Great campground with an awesome shower house/bathroom. We've stayed here twice already. Only complaint is that the swimming lake looks less than desirable. I wasn't planning on swimming anyway, though. Everyone is friendly, which made the stay even nicer.

Lucky every campground isn't as nice as this or the roads would be packed with RV's. Extremely well laid out, large pull thru sites, gravel as well as cement pads, bordered with lush Ohio grass. Ample tree cover to break up the direct sun and add to the overall appeal of the grounds. Talking about the grounds, they're immaculately kept. The people who take care of this campground care greatly. There are several expansive open green areas, which could easily be packed with more sites, but they've elected to focus on quality over quantity. Two ponds on the campground: one for fishing, the other for swimming. I was amazed at how clean they both appear. Water is translucent with no indication of stagnation. There is also a fantastic playground area with two very nice playsets setting on either bark or shredded rubber for cushion. I work at a school and we recently upgraded out playground, so I know how expensiv this equipment is: Willow Lake did not go cheap -- these playground sets are top notch.I'm not from Ohio and was just passing thru, but I would definitely come back to Willow Lake in my travels. They're not as inexpensive as a state park, but the old adage, "You get what you pay for" defintely applies. I would say their sites are priced about the same as most private campgrounds nowadays, but I've never seen a private park as nicely done as Willow Lake. You gotta see it to believe it.Last thing I want to mention: Check out time is 1PM. We have never seen this in all of our days camping. Pre-COVID, the normal time at most campgrounds was 11AM; since COVID we've found it to be 10AM. This tells me that the park owners want you to enjoy your visit -- that they place your enjoyment over convenience. I haven't met them, but I already know I like them.Safe travels.
