On August 18th, I had this shop perform an 4-wheel alignment on my BMW M3. I called ahead to make sure they could achieve the custom specs that I wanted and they assured me it was no problem. They fit me in their busy schedule and I was able to wait on the car instead of leaving it there. While the car tracks great and I got exactly the specs I wanted, it seems like the tech took a chisel (or some other damaging tool) to my aftermarket front strut mounts. I paid $461 for them so I m not happy about that. The strut tower itself is also deformed where it meets the mount. Additionally, I had scratches on my door handle and dirty boot prints on my floor mats. Finally, I couldn t get a print out of the alignment readings for my records. Instead I had pictures of the computer screen sent to my email. Really not the kind of care I expected from a place calling themselves Gearheads .I was willing to let these things go, especially after Eric reached out to make sure I was happy on August 21st. I responded with everything I said here including the images of the strut mount damage, but he never responded. It s been 2 months now.I rated 2 stars because the alignment was good, but I won t be returning to this shop. I wouldn t recommend taking your car here.Service: Wheel alignment

Gearheads provided timely feedback on the diagnosis of my car and was very easy to work with! They are not pushy like other shops and dealerships and are very transparent when suggesting additional service. The price was very reasonable for the area. This is my new go-to shop for my car and will definitely return for any future work needed for my car. Give this shop a try, they are very reasonable to work with and customer focused!

I took my vehicle into Gearheads to have the outer tie rods replaced. I dropped it off in the morning and left my keys in the envelope and drop box as I start work before they opened. I picked it up after work, and there was no conversation other than the cost at that time. I paid my bill and took it straight to have it aligned, where I have paid for lifetime alignments on my vehicle, and was told that an alignment could not be done because a random piece of pipe had been put on the tie rod as a makeshift jam nut. I called Gearheads while with the mechanic doing the alignment, and gearheads told us that they didn t have any problems, and the mechanic doing the alignment must not have good enough tools do the job - no concern for me, my car, or the problem. Without the alignment, my car was not drivable as I had just got new tires and was not taking a chance to wear my tires out unevenly without the alignment. Gearheads told me they were closing, that they couldn t talk any longer, and that if I called back I would get an answering service. There was absolutely no offer to find a solution and definitely no admittance to putting some strange pipe on my car rather than an actual jam nut. I was left to scramble to find a mechanic to replace the random pipe jam nut on a Friday night and then still get it aligned. I have regular maintenance done on my car including tire rotations and alignments, so the makeshift jam nut was noticed immediately once gearheads stuck it on without telling me. I called and left several messages as it s near impossible to get someone on the phone. I received one phone call back but was at work. I have called since and left messages and never received any further communication. I intentionally waited several weeks to give them time to make it right as I know they re busy, and it s the holiday season, but that hasn t happened. Take your vehicle to mechanics with transparency and integrity, which isn t gearheads. Photos include the random piece on my tie rod and several once it was taken off.

Eric, you guys are awesome. I had a pesky starter priblem with my Jeep Grand Cherokee and you found it was just a faulty connection most places would have waved some magic wand a handed me a big bill you said No Problem . Rare these days an honest man.

I usually like to work on my own cars, but I'm glad I gave Gearheads a try! My wife's car and mine both broke during a busy week when I had no time to fix them. Gearheads was able to squeeze both cars in the day after I called. They did good work at a reasonable price. On one issue they offered a unique solution that cost less than the typical repair method. While the car was there, they fixed a few exhaust leaks that other shops were afraid to touch. I have already recommended them to friends and would not hesitate to use them again.

Came in with my 1988 Pontiac Fiero Formula to see if I could get some things fixed. I needed a part specific to that car and I had no luck finding it. They were able to find it after just a day or two. They treated the car with great care, had great customer service, and all with a fair price. 10/10 recommend.

I called another mechanic and he recommended Gearheads so I went here for my issue with my car window. It was fixed within two hours and still works to this day. Unfortunately, I needed new breaks and they got me in ASAP. Being a woman, it s easy to be taken advantage of. I don t feel like they do that here. They will check on your vehicle and go over the issue/s including the price. I appreciate that. I will continue to be a customer. Thanks GearHeads!Services: Electrical, Brakes

I've taken my Corvette to Gearheads for repairs and maintenance issues. I've been very satisfied with the work done and the cost seems reasonable, especially when compared to a dealer. I'll continue to take the Vette here.

If you re looking for an amazing repair shop, look no further! Great experience at Gearheads last week. We shopped around after being quoted a ridiculous expensive price to fix an engine issue with our Ford Escape and Gearheads were able to fix our car at a much better price and they did not try to add any unnecessary add ons to our service like the Ford dealership did. Amazing staff, great customer service and we would recommend them to anyone for any type of car problem or issue. We definitely will be bringing our car back here again in the future!

Gearheads is the best. They have done extensive work on my 65 coupe. They have a "never give up" attitude doing whatever it takes to resolve a problem. 5vstar service from drop off to pick up.

If you want your car fixed right, then use Gearheads. If you want to be treated fairly, then you need to talk to Eric or Nick at Gearheads. I so appreciate those two - they pay attention and they (and their crew) are top notch mechanics. But, what I appreciate most is that they are honest. A lot of places fix cars, but there are very few who do it like the guys at Gearheads.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Brakes

My daughter was about an hour from home when her steering wheel began to shake pretty bad. Since we are not from the area I searched for repair centers in the and found that gearheads had good review. I would later find out why. They helped me find a tow company, got a very quick look at the car and had it fixed within a couple days with some extensive repairs. I found them to be very honest and dependable. The service gentleman I was working with, i believe his name is Eric, was excellent. He informed me that the issue I had was a known problem. I did some research and it looks like Nissan is going to reimburse me. I would have never looked into it unless he told me about it. I would definitely recommend them!!

I called Gearheads to make an appointment for my 2014 Ford Edge.Increasingly our exhaust system had become louder and louder to the point of slight embarrassment in traffic.Eric at Gearheads handled the entire matter very well and got me in early in the morning and on my way in a very timely manner. The price was great and our Ford Edge has never been quieter.Without any reservation, I would recommend them to everyone. What a great bunch! Professional and friendly. A wonderful experience.Service: Exhaust

The reason I initially went to GEARHEADS is because they are the only source of AMSOIL products in my area, which I use exclusively in my vehicles. I have a 2013 Camaro which is my baby and I had researched the car intensively - mechanical specs and known issues etc. So when I went in for an oil change, I asked them a bunch of questions specific to my Camaro (that I already knew the answers to) and they were spot on with everything. I was impressed. They always just get to it and get the job done...correctly...the first time. When I bring my car in for service. I've never paid more than their work estimates and have often paid less. Nick and Eric are always open and honest, I was there when a lady came in for a second opinion on her brakes after a dealership told her they were shot and she needed everything replaced and I heard Nick tell her that she still had over 80% of her pads left on the brakes and they were in great shape and they would not recommend her getting the service because she didn't need anything done...they could have really ripped her off, she knew nothing about cars. How often do you hear of a shop doing that? I am very peculiar about who touches my car, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend GearHeads to anyone ... they've done me right too many times.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Brake service & repair, Oil change

I towed my car to Gearheads auto service because my car wont start. I thought my clutch was worn out, so i told them that i need to replace my clutch with my own part. They are agreed to replace the clutch with my own part.A couple day late they called me back and told me the reason my car wont start is because the clutch pedal wire, should be an easy fix. the service went well. My car running good now. I appreciate the honesty of Gearheads Auto Service. It was an easy and cheaper fix. I thought i have to replace the clutch. I was expecting to spend a lot more than $211.Thank you so muchService: Transmission

Overall great experience at Gearheads. Good communication, fast service and no issue with the bearing replacement. They noticed my oil needed changed and I had forgotten to tell them about it. They added that service on at a very reasonable price.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Took both our vehicles in a few months back and the service was fantastic. Friendly, honest, and got the vehicles done as quickly as possible. Super quick repair for our Ford Focus and fixed a poorly done muffler repair from another local shop on our Jeep Liberty. 100% will be back.Edit: I ve been back and my rating is still 5 stars. Really upfront and honest staff.Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair

Gearheads was extremely prompt in responding to my call for service on my brakes. They got me in and repairs the next day, and offered a few options on immediate repairs needed vs those we may be able to hold off on for a few months all related to brake pad and rotor wear and tear, plus a caliper misalignment causing excessive wear. We opted to get everything taken care of, and my Jeep is up to par with all new brakes. They are always great to work with and give detailed explanations when needed. Highly recommend!Service: Brakes

I will start with, I never write reviews but feel compelled to write one for this place. Forewarning; It will be lengthy. If you need work done, find somewhere else. As a matter of fact, run, in the opposite direction.First of all, they do not answer the phone. Nor do they return phones calls. Ever, in my experience. Which is absolutely ridiculous.Secondly, they told me the job I needed done would take 1 hour tops and I could wait or drop it off. The day of, they told me it would probably take 2-3 hours as they were a little behind. Thankfully I had someone to pick me up so I didn t have to wait 3 hours. It turns out, NINE HOURS LATER, with no phone calls, no updates, nothing, the shop is getting ready to close and they still have my car. I called TEN TIMES with no answer and no call back. My mom drove me up for me to find out it was done and I paid and left. The job: I went in for a broken passenger door handle and a glove box that wouldn t open. They repaired the door handle, which was the only decent thing they did. They repaired my glove box lock, only for it to not be able to be opened again after the first time I opened and closed it. I tried calling, but again, they don t answer the phone, so I had to drive up to talk to them. They had someone come out and jerk around my glove box and try everything under the sun to open it with no avail. They tell me they are going to have to rip it apart to figure out what s wrong. I said okay well I m not going to be charged correct since it is the exact same issue that you fixed ? And he said it depends what they find and that it may be my fault which is unacceptable to me because they either messed up the job, or my theory is that they didn t replace the part at all. It didn t even look new. The only way I would believe they replaced it is if there is video proof. I tell him well if something else were to have been wrong would they not have found it the first time they replaced it ? and he had nothing to say. Anyway I tell him I m not okay with that because I haven t done anything to the glove box and it s either a faulty part or they didn t replace it. Eric got nasty with me and told me to bring it in the following Monday. I did not take my vehicle back up there in fear that they would actually break something purposefully in my car and try to charge me for it. No customer should ever have to feel that way. Eric was very unprofessional and nasty. He started hocking louges while walking away from me. The place has terrible customer service, impolite men, and I believe they were trying to take advantage of me as a younger mother. I will not be returning.

I went to Gearheads to get my evaporation system problem diagnosed, and they discovered two major leaks and notified me that my fuel line had rusted over and needed replacement. Check engine light was gone after their work was done. I also needed my window fixed because it was not going down, and they fixed that too. They know what they are doing and try to convey that knowledge to the customer. Great service!Service: Exhaust

Full disclosure, we have been friends for years. That said, Nick and his team have a wealth of knowledge and experience. I have taken my cars, as well as my family's cars, to them for a long time.

About 3 years ago we moved back to the area and found the great folks at GearHeads for my vehicle repair needs. Recently my daughter s Mini was lunging during acceleration, so I made an appointment for diagnosis. They quickly found the problem, called with a resolution and completed the service on time and at a reasonable cost.I found the crew at GearHeads to be knowledgeable with a quickly turnaround. They even made decision to forego some of the original work/parts in the quote as they determine they weren t necessary. Great service!Service: Auto engine diagnostic
