These guys were amazing! We were traveling thru when we broke down on the highway. Within 20min, they had our van, trailer, and passengers (including a dog) back at the shop in repair! Within a couple hours we were back on the road! They went out of their way to rush parts and help us out.Everyone was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and beyond accommodating. We even left with a couple shirts! HIGHLY recommend.1/3/24

Jeremy and his crew at Gearheart s garage are top notch. From the family cruiser to monster trucks, he has the experience. I dealt with him for some suspension upgrades on my Jeep midway through the pandemic in 2020. It took awhile to get the parts but that wasn t their fault. Literally no supplier had the parts in stock. Once they got the parts in, my jeep was done the next day. I will highly recommend Gearheart s Garage for any of your auto needs. From oil changes (they also carry Schaffer Oil) to a full on custom build.

Made a shorter review with my secondary account for those who don't like reading. This garage should be commended not only for their competence, but for their HONESTY. They could have let me waste money on services I REQUESTED, But instead they told me where the dealership had lied, and did what NEEDED done. The garage and office might not look fancy but they do good work, for a great value. I will continue to us this garage for ANY automotive need that I cannot do myself and I absolutely recommend if you are reading this you do the same!!!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Auto maintenance

We were stranded outside of Ashland, Ohio after the axle on our 5th wheel broke. Jeremy and his staff responded after hours during severe storm warnings. They assisted us in moving the vehicle to their shop where they allowed is to stay overnight. Jeremy made numerous calls to locate the difficult to find part. They treated us like family while we were put in a difficult situation. Thanks to Jeremy and the staff for their assistance! I would recommend this business to others.

Would give 0 stars if i could family took their car here tasked him to do a few extra minor things like a tune up and an oil change while the car was at the shop getting work done refused to do work because he was quote on quote to busy and did not even offer another appointment to get the extra work done so unprofessional.

I don't know where to begin... This garage should be commended not only for their competence, but for their HONESTY. I took my car to the dealership (won't mention who) and I told them the transmission was slipping but only sometimes. They ran diagnostics and claimed that the PCV valve was missing as well as some e.v.a.p. valve. Then they tried to get me to pay them $2500 to steal my dual clutch, telling me that the PCV valve and the e.v.a.p was not important and wouldn't do anything accept turn off the CHECK ENGINE light, and the only way to get the transmission to stop slipping was to replace the D.C.(Dual Clutch). I didn't have that kind of money and was stressing hard about trying to replace the dual clutch in my driveway. After doing some google research, I learned that there was a good chance that the clutch didn't need replaced, but in fact was just past due for SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE of a D.C. (Dual Clutch) fluid flush. I realised the dealership was literally trying to rip me off so I called Gearhearts to see what the ballpark range would be to do the scheduled maintenance on the clutch. I saw on google that it would be roughly a 10 hour job and was expecting an 800 dollar bill. Gearhearts quoted me 700 and I was already happy. After leaving them my car they did their own diagnostics and called me back to inform me that they didn't get any e.v.a.p. codes, but that P.C.V. stands for positive crankshaft ventilation, and since the transmission was only slipping SOMETIMES there was a chance that replacing the valve might resolve the issue, as the missing valve was throwing mass airflow errors to the engines computer. Since this was the cause for the check engine light anyway, they were surprised the dealership didn't suggest addressing that issue first, before trying to replace a part that might not be causing the issue. Gearhearts could have easily just went ahead with the clutch service job I asked them to do, and tacked the valve on as an afterthought, but as i told them my finances were tight they did what NEEDED done and the 700$ became 150$. On top of this, I accidently tried to overpay first by 200$ (thought they said 350 on the phone) then by 100$ (I was so flustered by the their honesty and the smaller bill I forgot i had 2 50's on the desk when i recounted 150). Both times the man I was dealing with corrected me and laughing said "while we appreciate tips, we insist they be given deliberately" I will definitely be taking the car back to them to flush the clutch when my finances are in better shape. The garage and office might not look fancy but they do good work, for a great value. I will continue to us this garage for ANY automotive need that I cannot do myself and I absolutely recommend if you are reading this you do the same!!!Services: Engine repair, Auto maintenance

Great service. Other places wouldn t look at my car as it has a manual transmission but Gearheart s got it in within the day. Honest communication and great price. On 4/30/2023 4:00 pm est on US RT 30 west bound (Mansfield) I was traveling around 69mph in a 60 when this gearheads truck (last four digits of LP 6021)starts tailgating me for about a mile then he proceeds to get into the right lane and go around 110mph around me with my kids in the car. I followed alittle bit and noticed him slam on his breaks BARELY missing another car. If this is how you let your employees represent you then that s all I need to know about the work your garage provides. I have the entire encounter on my rear camera and dash camera and will be forwarding the video to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Jeremy and his crew have worked on several of my family and friends vehicles and everything is always top notch. He's fair priced, quick and stands behind his work. They're currently rebuilding the rear axle in our F450 after a bearing failure. I don't do alot of reviews but I believe Gearhart's Garage deserves it.... 5 stars all the way.

I bought a transmission from them, they changed it, and the transmission began to work poorly, the check began to burn, I came to them and they don t want to do anything, they said we don t know anything, I came to them for 450 miles !!!! very bad service

A huge shout out to Jeremy Gearhart, owner of Gearhart's Garage. While traveling from Illinois to Pennsylvania on June 10, 2018 our front right wheel fell off our car. Every lug post was sheared off. Because it was Sunday and his shop was closed, he got to my car first thing on Monday morning and we were back on the road early Monday afternoon. What a huge relief to be treated so kind in addition to the expert and speedy service. He even delivered my car to me at the hotel we had to stay in overnight on Sunday. We were truly blessed to have had Jeremy suggested as "the place" to be towed to. I highly recommend anyone with car problems in the Ashland area to give him a call. Truly a lifesaver. The rest of our trip to Pennsylvania and back home was perfect!

Words can not express the kindness and gratitude they showed my son. He broke down on 71 and was towed into Gearhearts at the recommendation of the town truck driver. Being about 7 hours away I am thankful they towed his truck to Gearhearts. The truck was fixed the next day and they stayed with my son late on a Sunday night until his college roommate an hour and 45 mins away got there to pick him up.Much gratitude and respect to this company that could have taken advantage of us being further. Fair, honest and kind! That is what you get hear. Thank you so much for everything.

Very disappointed told me l had two to bad cylinders in my Silverado and the engine was junk. I took it home did a compression test on it myself those two cylinders are fine, I don t need a different motor I just need to find a good mechanic

I took in my 1985 Pontiac Fiearo to get the starter shimmed. The manager told me he refused to shim the starter from the flywheel and even though it was the right starter for a block v8 told me it was the wrong starter the starter that would have been placed in my car would have forced me to replace the flywheel and eventually a new V8 all together witch would have costed me thousands.Service: Engine repair

Sadly this shop owner seems to always find ways to scam people out of their hard earned money and parts. There has been a underlying issue now for well over 6 months and nothing is being done about it on Mr gearhearts end. Odly enough now the said parts are "missing" and still no money has been exchanged ..... Not a way to conduct business very well.

I called gear harts garage and asked them if they could change my break pads and was told after it was brought in it needed alot more work then I thought so I desided I would do it myself then charged me 250 just to take a look at it and block my car in.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Being 10 hours from home with 2 11 year olds n brenda an the van broke down I made a call to gear hearts garage an they took over sent a tow truck an being two days before thanksgiving I really didn't have high Hope's of getting home before Thursday... I received a call stating part was 40 miles away that really didnt expect it to be done till after Thanksgiving.. BUT the mechanic called me around 9 pm an said we have you fixed an I'm going to deliver the van to you folks ... I about started crying with happy tears .. them folks at gear hearts garage are all top shelf ppl .. god bless ppl like they are ... totally 5 s ... thank you so so much an being 27 years rebuilding semi wrecks I believe I got paid back from helping drivers get back out there on the road ... thank you gear hearts garage from our iowa hearts to all at gear hearts garage.. truly a American shop ...
