The professional setting was extremely professional. With snacks and beverages offered in the waiting room it was quite comfortable. I spoke with Jared who was phenomenal in explaining what was going on with my vehicle. The prices were competitive as well as the customer service. Very polite and courteous. Thanks again guys ill definitely be a return customer.

Well to start, I was very impressed with the services. I called Monday morning, I was broke down on the side of the highway. I already knew my alternator was the issue. I called to see if they had an available appointment that day. Jason, not only told me he could get my car in that day, but he also set up the tow truck and had them come get me in 30 minutes. He even offered for Lisa to take me home. I called Monday afternoon to get my quote. Jason told me it was going to be $665 out the door. I agreed and paid $375 over the phone. We set for him to call me back Tuesday, with any additional repairs my car might need. Tuesday, I had heard nothing by 2PM, so I called them. Lisa answered, put me on hold for 45 seconds, before coming back and saying my car is currently being worked on, but won't be ready til Wednesday, with no explanation why. I called Wednesday and spoke with a tech, I think. The tech told me, my car still isn't ready and I would have to pick up Thursday. I told him "no, I have to work tonight at 6:30". He put manager Jason on the phone. Jason said my car is still being worked on but it will be ready for pick up by the end of the day Wednesday and he will call me back at 4:30. Jason also said that "the tech had a part come in for another car, that he had been waiting on for a long time, so he stopped working on my car, to finish the other car." Then he told me that based on my conversation with Lisa, they were under the impression, they could keep my car until this weekend. He lied. I never spoke to Lisa about them keeping my car for an ENTIRE WEEK to repair an ALTERNATOR. That is at most, if a difficult repair ONE BUSINESS DAY. I got no call from Jason at 4:30, I called them at 4:48. Lisa answered and said my car is done, but I'm "not allowed to pick it up until Thursday morning, because their card machine is down and I have to pay cash or wait til Thursday." I told her I need time to go to the bank and I will be there. She said "well we close at 5, so you will have to come Thursday." I told Lisa absolutely not and I was taking my car today, no matter what. Lisa said "well we close at 5, so I don't know what to tell you." I told Lisa that I dont know what to tell her, cause I am taking my car back tonight. Hung up at 4:53, arrived at Akron Auto at 4:58. Lisa was SHOCKED to see me. She said "well you got here fast". Magically, their card machine was fixed and I was able to take my car. Lisa was full of apologies face to face, but "didnt know what to tell me" 5 minutes prior. I paid a total of $705.39, not $665. That being said, this place has zero communication skills. I would have made plans for another car, if they told me upfront, that my car was going to take 3+ days to fix. I would have taken it somewhere else, if Jason would have been honest and told me that they didn't actually have any available appointments on Monday. Also, how did they charge me accurately for the time spent working on my car, if the tech stopped in the middle of working on it, to go work on another car? If that other car had already been waiting "a long time", why couldn't it wait a few hours longer? Make it make sense. Driving my car home, someone put more then a half tank of gas in it, opened the sunroof, adjusted the steering wheel and seats, radio was on a station I've never used. I am almost positive, they were just driving my car around, cause all of those things (minus the sunroof) should have factory reset, when they replaced my alternator.

My first time here. I can't remember his name at the moment, something so simple, but he was great. I had to wait a while, but he got my tire patched and me back on the road. I was on my way to Orrville from Akron when I noticed I had a flat. Had to put more air in tire before I drove back to Akron from Orrville, but I haven't had a problem since. Nor have I gotten a new tire. Plan to go to them to get my wheel alignment.

Called them to setup an appointment for oil change/tire swap. Call was picked up and immediately asked to hold, fine. The man did this to 3-4 calls in my short phone call. I'm told a time and date for my appointment to get my work done.Show up at the right time and I'm told I didn't have an appointment. Left my car in the hopes they could do the work anyway and no such luck. Was told while leaving that I could setup another appointment and they could get to it then. Of course! I'd love to waste more of my time! Pass.

I was pretty impressed with the Akron Auto clinic gang! They were all friendly, and talkative, and smiled. They explain to me what I needed to do and how long it was going to take to get done. They communicated with me over the phone. And when it turned out it was going to be a few days before a certain part could come in, they were totally cool with me coming back and getting my car and then bringing it back once the part had arrived. It also took a shorter amount of time to fix my car than what they had said. And it wasn't overly pricey either. The big thing is, I really appreciated and I could tell that they cared about me as a person, not just as a guy who needed his car fixed. I like the friendliness and their style. I think I have found a new garage for my car repairs, hurray!Services: Electrical repair, Electrical

Way overpriced. Told me I needed 2500 worth of work done. So I went to get a second and third opinion, the difference was like night and day. Akron Auto Clinic told me I needed far more replacement parts than 2 other shops told me. Don't go here unless you get them to video tape the problems or show you proof somehow what's needing replacement. I got just that elsewhere, proof of what needed done, my mechanic showed me what was needed, before and after and it cost me less than half of what Akron Auto Clinic quoted me. I paid Akron Auto Clinic their $30 inspection fee and I'll never return. The staff is very friendly andnice, but there's no transparency, fairness or truth to their business practices, also, they'll tell you what you need and add wayyyyyy more work than needed to get the most out of your wallet. I do not recommend this place. Sorry Akron Auto Clinic, just giving an honest review. Honesty is the best policy!Update 8/17/2023.....So after going to the local dealer with my car, we got a full inspection, I have reached the conclusion that your company needs to be more honest. The dealership disagreed with your diagnosis of all the "pro lems" and "safety issues". Seeing that I've now had 3 other opinions that disagree with yours....Being lied to is pretty upsetting, and I am determined to save others from this place and the irritation that it brings. This rip off scam that your attempting will not work on everyone, as it didn't on me...but it does however look bad for your company and will hurt returning business for you once customers realize they are being scammed. I will not bring my car back for you to look at, and while I understand you're trying to save face, this is not the kind of business I will give my money or time to.

Updated review, 2024:We were about to drive the minivan off for the family Spring Break vacation, when I noticed a cracked rubber air intake in my engine, between the air filter and engine. Great way to ruin an engine. I called Jason at the Akron Auto Clinic, who asked to take a quick look at it. Within 15 minutes of my arrival, a parts runner had the part on site. 15 minutes later I was back on the road. THANK YOU for saving our Spring Break vacation!Original review, 2018:Our family has gone to Fred's shop for nearly 15 years. We finally found a mechanic that earned our trust. We expect our mechanic to be up front with costs, paint a realistic picture of what is going on, tell how long it will take, and not perform unnecessary service. Akron Auto Clinic does all that well. Too many times we have asked, "can you get to it now?" and Jason or Jon squeezes us in on a Saturday (they work Saturdays!) or Monday morning. Thanks, Fred, Marietta, Jason, Jon and all the guys for your hard work.

Got my brake lines replaced, seemed to be ok but was hearing clanging around after taking the car back. When I took it to my mechanic for yearly maintenance I had them make sure the lines were done right and found out they left all the old brake lines and hardware on the car just clanging around. Also wasn t routed right in the rear end. Everyone I talked to here was very nice and the work was ok for being in a pinch.Service: Brakes

We from Indiana and Our car broke down beside the hghway. They sent out a tow truck took it in and had an alternator on hand to fix it. It was even a Volkswagen Gave us a loaner car , and it was fixed by the next day. Labor cost was very reasonable. Good experience.. highly recommend.

I needed my brakes inspected. Several estimates from other places, put the job, worst case scenario, around $1200 - $1500. Akron Auto Clinic gave me an estimate AND said they'd inspect the job, for free. After the inspection, they priced me out at around $900 and the work could be done that day. I wasn't able to do the work, and thankfully, my brakes weren't dangerously bad, so I'll be back when I can get the job done. Jason and John were really nice, too.

We had a terrible experience going here, they overcharged us for a part. They told me $875 for a singular part and then couldn t even guarantee that that was the problem with the car. The customer service experience that was given to us was atrocious. They said they would give us updates and never called and did such thing. I will never go back to Akron Auto Clinic

I called on a Saturday needing to get my brake pads and rotors replaced . I told them I needed it done by noon . They had it done by 10:00 am . When they took it in they pulled the tires off and showed me what was wrong and gave me a good price . I would use them again and recommend them to anyone . Friendly staff and quality expedited service . This is what everyone should expect from the people they do business with . Thanks guys .Service: Auto brake repair

Friendly staff which is rare for an auto shop, they offered me a ride home while they worked on my vehicle. Took just as long as they said it would. Would definitely go back!

They seem very knowledgeable and honest but I would not say they're the best price you will find. They are good at getting your vehicle in the shop, diagnosed, repaired and back on the road quickly.

The worst car shop I ve ever been to. They guarantee work to be completed by a certain date just to get some extra money. Then consider something done when they still have to test drive it. Guarantee new parts but when you pick it up you re told they are refurbished. If I could have written the review with zero stars I would have. Management tells their employees business to customers. I appreciate the mechanic fixing my truck but that s it. I will never use this shop again

This is my second time using this business for my cars since moving to Akon. This is the second time I am completely satisfied with my experience. Not only did they work quickly and efficiently but they were kind and honest. I am so grateful that I have found a mechanic to trust.

Wow! Jason and his crew are extremely friendly, fast, and very effective and efficient. I am not very versed to the Akron area and I am always extremely skeptical of new mechanics. I can t imagine going somewhere else. Actually saved me money by not trying to upsell me and even offered free shuttle back home and back to the shop to pick my car, as they were fixing it.I m not sure how highly I can recommend them.Services: Auto power window repair, General repairs & maintenance

My daughter took her Jeep to this establishment. During the week they had it; they told her 3 different diagnosis. Each time they gave her an extremely expensive estimate. Each time when she questioned them that is when they came up with another diagnosis. The first two they said they made a mistake after being questioned about the cost. They said no guarantee on any of their diagnosed work. The last diagnosis was for an EGR valve estimated repair cost was over $800... My wife and I thought that was high. We looked on line for an EGR valve and found them for approximately $80. Autozone had them for $180.....My daughter didn't have them repair the vehicle but it still cost approximately $250.Women beware... They will try to rip you off.The Jeep is 16 years old but it doesn't have 142,000 miles. More like 100,000.Not only did this all happen; but, when my daughter brought the Jeep into the garage, it had a full tank of gas. When we had it towed it was on empty. Then, a week after this review; they called my daughter's husband and stated that they were never paid and demanded another $250!Once again, Ladies beware! Use them at your own financial risk.

I was involved in an accident and AAA towed it to the nearest repair facility (which was Akron Auto Clinic). I dealt with a representative named Jason and he was truly a remarkable person. He offered me a free estimate and was just a genuine person. I explained to him that we needed to get a couple more estimates and he was upfront and honest. I would highly recommend them!

Be somewhat hesitant about this auto body shop if you are not well versed in cars! Went in to get my gas line fixed since It got sliced running over metal, they fixed It with no issues. The reason I give two stars is because when I came to pick my car up they said my car was too dangerous to drive because the breaks were dragging and the break pads were at 20% . I had just bought my VW one month prior and got a full head to toe diagnostic and to make sure nothing was wrong with the car, breaks never once mentioned being dangerous . This shop made me sign a WAVER saying I am accepting all responsibility of my vehicle and that It is unsafe for the road. After getting a second opinion, I was told my break pads are at 80% (front) and 30% (back) and my car is SAFE on the road.Just disheartening because I trusted this autobody shop to do the right thing.
