Totally Awesome experience at the Advance Auto Parts store on Vernom Odem Blvd in Akron.The staff goes above and over to please the customer. I can't say enough about the store manager Joe my son was having some issues with his truck and not only did him and his staff help fix the issue but also teach my son some important things to look out for when it comes to the vehicle..! I highly recommend this auto place!!!!! I can't say thank you enough to the staff and the manager!!!

Gave sales person spark plug with number on it . Lok.up billed out with other purchases. Put in bag got home went to install wrong part. Substituted different part number .had right part number on old part. Went back got aggregated .said he put in part number and he was write! 2 different parts but 1 letter different. Don't go there terrible attitude!!!!

This place is greatThey got hustleThey got knowledgeI wish I could remember the managers name. He wins the prize for going far and beyond his duties to make sure I was taken care of ... Informed and even helped me extract a bolt and wouldn't give up till he got it outI was impressed and it was refreshing to see this type of hustle . Dude should be paid to travel and train other store managers as to how the stores should be ran and how be an example to the other employees who at times seem like they're sleep walking

I went to this location to check out some tools since they are currently on sale. I was the only one in there at the time and I felt like the dude at the checkout kept following me along the desk to watch over every move I made as if I was about to steal something. I wanted to check out the sockets behind the end of the counter, which I ve been able to at other locations. All in all I felt deterred from buying anything. When I was about to leave I stopped at the counter to try looking at the sockets and wrench s from across the counter and he came from around the corner he was originally and started typing on the computer there to only what I could assume to keep watch over me. Very weird atmosphere and the most weird experience I have had at a retail store. Would recommend going to a different location or different store in general.

Great customer service. Chris installed the wiper blades for me, as well, and Chris and the other young man helped me get my email sorted out at the register so I was able to enjoy the 20% discount. Sweet.

Friendly workers and knowledgeable people. Special thanks to Avery for helping me get in a part I ordered online that they didn t have in stock (even though the website said they had it), he had ordered it from another store and was able to get it the same day. Saved me a lot of time and trouble of canceling the order.

This location doesn t have the most professional or knowledgeable employees. I came in yesterday to pick up some Adam s or Sonax wheel cleaner to remove brake dust off my rims. They didn t have either brand so the manager suggest Crc brake cleaner. I asked if that was safe to use on rims; he said yes. Get home read the back it s not safe for wheels, tires, rims or paint!! HUH? Realized I d have to go back and wasn t given a receipt. Came in and a friend of the manager who was just hanging out there was more helpful that the employee there!!! The employee didn t address me, just the managers friend while talking about me in front of me, complaining how the manager needs to stop not giving receipts and saying he wasn t going to be able to do anything for me. None of this was said to me just right in front of me. Eventually I just said to the friend I d just do an exchange. The employee didn t know where anything was and had a nerve enough to have an attitude the entire time and making the ring out more difficult. Never had to show ID for Apple Pay before when using my pin. He cancelled the purchase when it asked for my pin just so I could swipe my ID and do it all over. Clearly unnecessary. Asked about a battery reconditioner on their site and he didn t know what it was! Did I mention this man was at least 40 and this is his work ethic. Yikes. He couldn t even give me a bag. Just rude and no sense of customer service

If I could give less I would. I came in to buy a battery and was sold a 3 yr old battery that had a dead cell. Thanks to that had to have it towed and and very unessasary mechanic bill. Man who did the exchange was very polite and helpful. Was not his fault but very upsetting that I am out this money.. This was a very costly mistake. I will be taking my business elsewhere from here on out

I placed an online order, the online order was shipped with the wrong parts. I called the 877 number to work through the issue. I needed the parts the same day so they worked to find a location near me that had the right parts in stock. They sent me to this location, only to find they processed the wrong parts again! However, the employee that helped me when I walked in was awesome! He worked with me to process the online returns and then even called around and found the correct parts at another location! I was very upset and it was this employee that changed it all around just by taking care of the customer. I believe he was the manager. My truck is fixed and I am back on the road, thank you!

One of the managers there has a real bad attitude I wish I could remember his name, very disrespectful, I will never shop there again. Very rude and unprofessional. Some people should not be in a position where they have to deal with customers. If I was the undercover boss he would be demoted!!!

It was a very respectable man that works there who helped me tonight when 2 auto parts stores denied me right across the street from each other. I bought the part from one of the other stores they wouldn't install it so I came here and he installed it for me an they don't even do that type of work. But I wanna thank dude I don't know his name

We will never shop at Advance Auto parts again because of the terrible service we received at this location. We bought an alternator from them back in January. It broke after a week, we got it tested by them and it showed that it was bad. We got the bad one taken out by a car repair shop and replaced it with one of their alternators. When we took the faulty one back to the store, the store OWNER refused to reimburse us for the FAULTY alternator they sold us. We called the corporate office but they sided with the owner of the location and were not willing to help us at all. We will not use Advance Auto again for our car part needs.

Had a nice experience. They all helped me fix the air filter, charge my AC, etc. Nice, Happy people..!! Recommended.!!
