This place is fantastic!!! They had to diagnose my problem which included checking the turbo. They found my problem. It wasn't the turbo thankfully. After diagnosing it they found it was my actuator. They couldn't get the part that day. To help me save and not have to pay for a motel. They put my truck back together, so I could stay in it. Ended up the blizzard came in and deliveries stopped for the week. On Friday they gave me a ride to the store to stock up on some supplies. Parts finally came in and they got me right in the shop. Did excellent work at a reasonable. Even had a good place for me too walk my dogs.

Fuel gelled up and then killed starter motor in my truck. Got my truck in that afternoon so it could sit inside the warm shop overnight, and back on the road before noon the next day. Staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. They got me a great deal on a Hotel room down the street too.

The transmission on my 2014 Peterbilt 389 (an Eaton Fuller 18 speed) failed and came apart just a mile from Buffalo City Diesel. The first person I happened to make contact with was Kevin, the owner of Buffalo City Diesel. He greeted me kindly and informed me that it would be at least mid afternoon before he could get me into the shop. He then went on to recommend a competitor's shop down the road in order to help me get looked at possibly sooner. This gesture, his willingness to send me elsewhere even if it meant losing the sale but helping a driver, convinced me to do business with his shop! Kevin and his crew are supremely capable and thorough. Kevin's love of all things powered is evident in the pictures that hang in his office, including the drag racing cars that he not only built, but he himself raced! Kevin holds an NHRA drag racing license and knows motors! To have Professionally trained technicians (his shop is a Cummins Certified Service Center) working on my equipment makes for peace of mind; however, it was all of the things that they did to make my wife and I comfortable during our downtime that made all the difference. We were going to be down for an indeterminate amount of time due to all of the hoops that my extended Warranty plan required me to jump through, to determine the coverage of my repairs. Kevin freely offered the use of a company vehicle over the weekend, so that my wife and I could get into town and enjoy whatever Jamestown, North Dakota has to offer. Kevin also went to bat for me in dealing with the warranty company, making sure they understood the nature of the damage and that it was absolutely not due to driver negligence. Kevin and his crew (Andrew, Gene, Eric to name a few) are fantastic! If you are in need of big truck service in or near the Jamestown, North Dakota area these guys are here to help! I strongly recommend them.P.S. Kevin is also a man of faith! He invited my wife Michell and I to attend Sunday service at his local church, and we are excited to go and worship our Lord with this man of great integrity.

We were delivering a vehicle to a customer in Washington from our Minnesota location when my driver called and said the vehicle had an issue right outside of Jamestown. I looked up online for some repair shops in the area. Buffalo City Diesel was the only shop that would fit us in to diagnose the problem right away on a Friday morning. Not only did they diagnose the coolant leak correctly, but they made the repair right away as well and for a reasonable price. It's nice to know there are companies out there that will still improvise their schedule to help someone out in a pinch.

They were unable to diagnose and fix an air issue but had no problem charging me $463. If you need a real mechanic look elsewhere. These guys were lazy part changers with bad attitudes.

Correct diagnosis, quick service and friendly people.It was Friday morning, the weakened before Christmas, coming from St Paul, MN and going to Portland, OR.In the middle of the night, while passing near James Town, ND, I heard loud noise coming from my drive tire. I stopped for the night.In the morning, I called Buffalo City Diesel. It did not take them long to diagnose my problem and fix it right there. In few short hours, I was on my way to Portland and I never heard the loud noise again.BIG THANKS

They were very speedy out to my truck to evaluate. The problem. The friendly service and great help was by far some of the best customer service I have had with truck repair thank you

Horrible business.Unethical.Their accountant Amanda has a very bad attitude problem.Their owner will tell you one thing then another when you get the bill.I recommend getting your rig to Fargo or Bismarck for service.

Great shop. they have repaired our semi trucks several times. they even squeezed us in when we arrived close to closing timemy first choice in Jamestown : )

The problem with Kyle review is Kyle didn't want to spend to money to fix the problem correctly and it was Kyle bad attitude was the truth to the matter at hand, it is to bad customers do not write all that happen. the review ends up being one sided
