Seriously folks. This is the BEST place to take your car. They work quickly so you don't have to wait around all day, and the people who work there are the kindest. I don't even mind waiting the few minutes it takes to change my oil, because inside the store they have tables and chairs and some excellent food! Plus price wise you pay less than at chain places.

The birthplace of Mountain Faith Band! High Country tire has both a long standing local tradition of providing great service and affordability. It's the last gas station I know of where they come out and pump the gas for you. The food is wonderful and cooked to order. It's my personal local favorite for one stop shopping for getting my car inspected, getting new tires, and a grilled chicken wrap while I wait. I hope you will enjoy it also.

Our tire blew on our drive up from FL on a Friday night. The next morning, this was one of the few shops in the area that was open on a Saturday. We didn't know what to expect but were so impressed by the end. The shop was really busy but the guys didn't make us feel rushed or played at all. They checked out our old tire and replaced it with a new one as there was a tear on the side wall. They were quick, no-nonsense and honestly, just genuinely nice. The price was also really fair and we couldn't have had a better experience in a frustrating situation.

$71 to get 2 tires mounted and balanced. Used to be an affordable place when Mickey and Sam owned it. Now its run by a crook. I asked how much it would be to mount and balance 2 tires and he just said "I'll do it out here" and when I gave him my card I got a receipt for 71 bucks for something that took 5 minutes. I'll buy my own tire machine before I ever go back here.

Used to be really good I have bought tires many times from here over the years on my last visit I couldn t even get any one to talk to me went in office nobody there went in gas station they told me go back to garage after standing there waiting for awhile I decided to go elsewhere i went to mantz tire in Sylva they got me right in and was very prompt about service high country is not the same as it use to be

This place has always done me right. Great bunch of people. The mechanic is awesome. Their prices are very reasonable. The food they prepare in the store is better than these fast food places, always delicious.

I love stopping for gas at this place. I believe it's one of the only places left that actually will pump your gas for you. You don't even have to get out of the car! I love it! I always tip the nice older gentleman that usually pumps my gas.

They saved the day! We were getting ready to head home after a week long mountain vacation and found a bolt in our tire. We called them, got there quickly and they had us in and out in no time at all. Friendly service was the best part. Thank you!

I usually dread going to car shops, but I had a great experience here. I walked in and was taken care of immediately. I got 2 new tires for a good price and they rotated them as well. We waited (only 20-30 minutes) in the store next door and ate yummy biscuits from the restaurant at a great price. I would recommend this place & i ll definitely be back.

This place is absolutely great! Reminds me of shops up North. They work fast, efficient and great prices! Today was the 2nd time I've been to High Country and again we had a great experience. Plugged a tire ON MEMORIAL DAY! Last time I stopped in and got 4 new tires put on in about 35mins with no appointment! Everyone I've dealt with had been super nice and friendly. Highly recommended!

I have been coming here for years. Family owned and operated. Small town Gas/Tire/Food joint, what's not to love...- Quality fuel, non of that self-serve mumbo-jumbo. They pump it for you!- The tire shop has had all my needed tire sizes in stock throughout the years.- The food is great! It's a popular lunch spot. Full of hardworking locals trying to fill their empty belly's.- The owners: Are faithful, hardworking people. Kind, energetic, and not to mention. They write some awesome music!

Running on fumes, I rolled in and took my spot in front of a pump. Extremely grateful to have made it, THEN a gentleman asked what he could get me. I was so floored I muttered something ridiculous like, I need gas. It actually took me a minute to tell him how much I was getting.I had NO IDEA a Full Service station still existed. He even checked to make sure my oil cap was tight enough, since I d just put 3 qts in I was only passing by, but when I m that direction again-I will happily give this station my business

Wow, super friendly and helpful. This is about the only place open on Saturday later than noon anywhere on this area. The mechanics were super friendly and fast. We had a hole in our tire and they were able to plug it and saved us from getting a replacement.Inside is a cute cafe with a nice variety of foods. The BEST thing is they use canola oil! If you have Soy allergies you will actually be able to eat something fried. HEAVENOur tire repair was only $10! You can't beat that. THANK YOU High Country you saved our trip.PLEASE VISIT THIS LOCATION if you need help. God send.

Have taken vehicles there for probably 15 years, perhaps longer. Great for tires, balancing, brakes. Not a place for mechanical work however. Convenient location between Sylva and Franklin. Not open on Wednesday.

I went to HCT today looking for a spare tire the nice Sir named Efrain looked for the tire to no avail no spare as I was fixing to leave he helped me out with a new tire instead I put what money I had on the tire and the and Efrain said he would pay the rest from his tips that he received and told me God Bless I thanked him so very much and said I would pay it forward for sure it's good to see there are still kind loving souls still in this world thank you again Sir God Bless

This is a favorite place for an oil change, inspection, and all things tires. They are welcoming, kind, and caring. There is a place to wait both inside at tables or outside on benches. You can have a snack and a drink or a more substantial meal from their kitchen. The service is next level (they pump your gas for you) and the feel is family and very quintessentially southern. It reminds me of a little slice of home away from home. Thanks for a great experience every time High Country!

I have never in my life seen people as nice, honest and caring than these. Their prices are so cheap that I don't see how they make it. I needed help with my brakes today and desperately needed to make my Dr appointment. They got right on me and only charged 40% of they should charge. The owners are Godly people.

Was on a road trip and blew a tire on my camper. The staff had all 4 tires changed and us back on the road with in 30 minutes. Prices were more than fair

A wonderful family run business. I took a set of tires that I had purchased online. They balanced and installed for a fair price. They were extremely busy, but they work hard to get their customers in and out quickly. Will return if needed when I vacation in Sylva.
