They are able to align large trucks such as my F350 dually and at a reasonable price. They were honest about the alignment and what they could do to make it right. I was also told the first time I went to do it that my tie rod ends were bad, and that gave me time to replace them without wasting money on the alignment when it wouldn't have worked anyways.

I chose Smith Autimotive to work on my non cranking F150 since it was close to my house. DO NOT take your vehicles here especially if you are a female!!!! I had to have it towed up there, it was up there for 2 days before they even looked at it. Then they call and say it's the brand new starter that my husband put on there a week before. So I tell them to have the starter off and I can come get it the next morning to swap it out since it had a warranty. Take in account this is my only vehicle and my MIL who lives an hour away had to come get us to go up there. They didn't take the starter off like they said. So we decided to have it towed back home since it was told that it's the starter, then the owner says it's not the starter it's the flywheel. That they couldn't get the starter off until I had the other one "since time is money!" As said by owner ( yea I'm loosing money too the longer you keep it.)The owner explained what happens to the flywheel and the tells me "do I need to explain this to your husband?"He's a sexist mechanic. I know a few things about vehicles if it is the flywheel then that means he had to drop the transmission you don't need the starter to do that!!! Oh and don't get me started on how much they jack up the prices on parts! $300 for a starter that they would get for $150!!!!I Would not recommend even taking a bicycle there!!!

Don't take your vehicle here. Had a work truck come here multiple times, six months later still having the same issue. The owner refuses to warranty any work or parts. Terrible customer service.

Mr. Thurman missed Diet ghost my mother in law's car I had been using him for about 4 years paid a $1000 for starter not even 2 weeks later he said it was a flywheel it was the same exact problem put 500 down on that which was a 1000 more dollars Then he had took my mother in law's car apart supposedly got the part the fly wheel was the wrong part send us home with a bill of $900 because he had to put the car back together I'm sorry but you should have looked at the part before you took the car apart then he owed me $500 because he never fixed the car Took my car up there to get the brakes changed now my brakes are still grinding real loud he did not change my brakes he overcharges they charged me $260 to change just my front brakes I just called another shop and they're charging me a 150 for my back and my think Mr. Thomas nice but hes not he will mess you over eventually And I really believe he has been overcharging me since day one Everything was OK until he tried to charge me for his mistake He tried to charge me $900 for taking the car apart and he had the wrong part and then he couldn't get the part The whole work itself if he would fix the car was only a $1000 So just watch yourself And the women at the front desk are very rude I will never use them again for anything And if you look outside his shop hes always got a bunch of broke down cars in front of it They say never trust automotive when they have broken down cars all the time in front of the place

While en route from Greensboro to reidsville, My tire pressure all of a sudden went to 29psi and car shows it is supposed to be at 50 psi so I stopped at a local gas station on FREEWAY Dr to attempt to put air into tire Attempt is the key word bc I have never done that in my entire life Luckily mr Thurmond just happened to pull up to pump gas so I asked him for assistance he was so kind and completed the task for me I believe that a gentleman who is willing to help a complete stranger such as myself is rare nowadays if mr Thurmond treats a stranger with such kindness, I do believe that he will treat his customers with above and beyond customer service I recommend that everyone do consider coming to his business if you ever need any automotive assistance Thank you again sir .. you were God sent to be at that gas station today

Fast, dependable, and, knowledgeable service, every time! My Father has had his vehicles serviced here, for awhile, and, I guess it stuck with me, as well!A great place to get your car serviced.

Smith Automotive is the place to go... I would like to thank the staff for a job well done... The service was done faster then I thought it would be...Great mechanics that get the job done..and will have you back riding...and the work was done correct...Once again thanks...and I will be back for any work needed in the future

Fast service for the job they did. Their prices were a lot cheaper than other automotive shops.Friendly people that work there.Will definitely use them again if I have car issues, but hoping that doesn't happen.

Dropped my truck off for an alignment and transmission oil service and pan swap. Smith automotive contacted me about the inner and outer tie rod ends showing wear along with the idler arm. I was quoted a price of $741.xx for parts and labor of all of the work. When i was contacted about the vehicle being ready for pickup, I was told the total was $812.XX. When i asked about the difference in price, I was told the original idler arm didn't work and another had to be ordered that cost more. To me a $70 price increase in this case almost 10% should have been relayed to the customer prior to installation.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

Smith automotive of Reidsville is the place to go to get your vehicle serviced. They are not expensive and they are good mechanics. They all are very nice. Try them. You will see for your self. You will keep going back.

We aren't local to Smith's Automotive. We were buying a car in that area and took it to Smith's to have it checked out. The service was outstanding. We were even invited to come out and look at the car while it was on the lift so they could point some things out. They checked values for us and even gave us a reccomended price. Great, kind service! I highly recommend.

Went here 9 months ago to get an alignment and tires balanced. The office manager is rude, and loud. Also while my vehicle was back there someone tore up my center console to where it was unrepairable. Not sure why they did it. I know this for a fact because I used my center console before I left my house. Also this shop does not allow customers to buy there own parts. I will never recommend, or go back to this shop.

if you are female I would recommend you take a male to take your car in the try to tell me I did not know what I was talking about when I know exactly what I'm talking about put my car instead of putting it on the computer they put it on a handheld computerized device try to tell me all six of something we're gone when the engine will not crank without them anyway always have available with you

Great service . Another mechanic wanted to charge double of what Thurman quoted. Hard to find honest people these days. They will definitely get all my business from now on.

Reasonable, reliable car care service. Vets also get a small discount off the total bill.
