Wow! I am so happy that I found this place. Went in yesterday afternoon with an alarming banging noise coming from under my car. Robert immediately took it for a test drive, looked underneath, and diagnosed a suspension issue. They gave me the option of doing it at the end of yesterday or coming in first thing this morning. I came in this morning and the repair was done quickly at a great price. The banging is gone and my car is driving smoothly. I drive an 20 year old car and I can tell she s in good hands here. All employees are so kind and knowledgeable and as an added bonus the owners young son is a great kid. I am a young woman who clearly knows nothing about cars, and I felt completely respected. I ve been looking for a good shop since I moved to Raleigh and can now safely say I found it. Stop looking now and just call Tobola! I ll be back soon!

I had a starter replaced and it seems they did a good job. Nice folks too. However, the repair ended up being the same price as the dealership. I had my car towed there so I went ahead with the repair, but in the future I ll probably stick with the dealership for my service.

Tobola Automotive Shop s restoration (bodywork secondary to MVA) of my car exceeded my greatest expectations! This honest, highly skilled, family-owned business has earned my full trust, repeat business, and highest recommendation. The Manager of Tobola Automotive, Robert, provided superior customer service in multiple ways: First, Robert handled all the details seamlessly for me - What a relief as most of us understand the major hassles of a car accident.Second, the Tobola Team clearly worked hard to save me money. Their repair estimates and final costs were well below that of other local body shops. Finally, as a privately owned, family business, Tobola s straightforward and honest business practices were a breath of fresh air.It is reassuring to know outstanding businesses like Tobola Automotive still exist, and I will always be happy to support them.Thank you, Tobola Automotive!

I have used the services of Tobola Auto for several years now and can't recommend it enough. They are trustworthy and do good work. They will make sure the job is done right and try to save you money where they can. They have clearly invested in their integrity and it shows. If you want straight honest answers and quality work go here. I just had my catalytic converter replaced on a Kia Forte and by default that is an expensive job, but I would have paid far more if I went elsewhere. There is no place else I would use in Raleigh but Tobola Auto for my car maintenance/repair needs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Excellent service and quality work. George always provide us with honest advice on what our car really needs, never tries to push unnecessary work on us and he just does a great job all the way around. He's the only mechanic I trust in Raleigh! Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Robert and George did a great job for us and also saved my friend $500 on their clutch job by coming up with an alternative fix. Highly recommend them for their quality work.

Expect the best service, Hands Down! honest and very reliable mechanic shop. All needs are taken care of; from inspection, repairs to sales. Very friendly and Kind team. I am a very happy customer regarding communication, service, timely matters and professional treatment. Robert was very helpful and answered all of my questions with the smile ( and i can be a pain :)). I will gladly bring my business back and recommend to of all my friends and family. When i bring my "babies" to George (Jerzy) and team i know they are in good hands. A+

I have taken my car to George a few times and always had a good experience till this last time. I had a door lock replaced and an oil change. During the first week i had my car back i noticed that the engine seemed to be working really hard. It seemed gummed up, i realized after a week or so that they had put 10w40 in my 2004 civic instead of the recommended 5w20. I called George and he agreed to change out the oil if i would bring it in on Saturday. Upon bringing it in he started to tell me that 10w40 is fine for older cars like mine and it was likely something else. He tried to make me feel like i was just a whiny customer even though i explained that the car seemed to be running quite different than before the oil change. I won't lie, it got a little heated, I did not appreciate being treated like that and told him i would go get the oil changed elsewhere. I went to Precision Tune Auto They told me that you should always put the recommended oil in regardless of the cars age. That's why it says it on the cap, duh! So as soon as i am driving away after getting changed back to 5w20 my car was fine again. The bottom line is that i would not recommend Tobola, they obviously did something wrong to my car. And instead of just fixing the error they tried to act like i was crazy. I would still trust the work they do, but their honesty and integrity is not what i thought it was. Sure, i could have had them fix it, but it was a matter of principle, they didn't stand behind their work and i didn't trust them to do anything else to my car. George even told me that if there was something wrong with the car i should have brought it back immediately. Like it was my fault for not catching their mistake sooner. He also threw the "I guess the customer is always right" thing in my face a few times. Disappointed and baffled with how it is easier for them to lose a customer than to fix a $20 mistake.

We had a labor-intensive job that we needed done to our Toyota 4Runner and they were fantastic to work with. They saved us $1000 compared to the dealership's estimate and they were honest and fair. Definitely recommend!

Every time I come here they are always quick and honest. The prices are always extremely fair for the work being done. When I leave I know my car is going to be running great! It's so great to find a locally owned shop you can trust!

It's rare you can say you trust your mechanic now a days, but I trust these guys work all my heart. They won't scam you and they're very honest on all the work. Nicest group of guys too. Been going here for over 20 years

I wholeheartedly recommend George Tobola! I do not usually take the time to write reviews, but I was so blown away by the integrity and service of George Tobola that I want other people to hear about my experience.About 3 months ago during a routine oil change / wheel balance at Midas (3621 Capital Blvd location), I was told that my ball joint was broken. They recommended replacing the entire wheel hub assembly to fix the issue (something about the parts having a better warrantee that way). I don't recall exactly, but the estimate was somewhere in the neighborhood of $350 - $400. Thankfully, I chose to wait and get a second opinion. After looking at some Google reviews, I called Tobola Automotive to see if I could get an estimate over the phone. George answered and told me that no shop would be able to tell me what it would cost without looking at it. He said in a thick Italian accent, "Why don't you bring it in tomorrow, and I will put it up on the lift and see what it needs. No charge." That was better than I was expecting, so this afternoon I took it in and braced myself. After a short wait, George comes in and asks me rather indignantly, "Who told you your car needs this work?"There was a slightly loose joint, it turns out, but he said that could happen on a brand new car. It certainly didn't warrant replacement. I was stunned. It didn't need anything? Really?!?! In the end, I asked him to do my annual emissions inspection since the old girl's skirts were up anyway, but that won't be the last business George gets from me! I am taking my car to Tobola's from now on!(Although, next time, I will remember to wear warmer clothes, and I recommend you do the same. Those seasoned mechanics just don't seem to notice that the chilly November weather is coming right in that door they leave open behind them. I just about froze to death in there.)

I have been to dealerships, gas stations, and franchised auto repair shops but none compare to the honesty and workmanship of Tobola! This shop is the best in the area. They have fixed my car on a number of occasions but my most recent visit would have cost me an alternator and battery had I gone anywhere else...but after multiple checks and double checks they found out that my 1 yr old battery was bad. It was under warranty so I took it back to PepBoys and they gave me a new one but wanted to charge me 45.00 to install it even though it was their faulty battery to begin with. Tobolas installed my new battery no charge! I left them a small gift of appreciation for this and all the other times they have serviced my car. It's nice to know there is one trustworthy auto shop in Raleigh!!!

These guys are great (and kinda funny too!). They do good work, they don't stick you with an expensive part when a cheaper alternative is available; if the repair didn't go right they are very reasonable. And best of all will tell you if a repair is not necessary or not worth it. I highly recommend!

My apologies to Mr Tobola for a bad review around a year ago. The bad review was written before he had a chance to fix a issue between me and a tech/mechanic. Mr Tobola has always been fair to me and the customers i have seen always look happy with the service.Even after the bad review that I gave he still treated me with the best customer service. THANKS. (Please understand why I was upset)

The best auto shop in the triangle, for repairs and buying vehicles. Quality service, reasonable prices, quick turn around on service. Mechanics are excellent too. But the most important thing is they do what they say they are going to do. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I got a $300 random fee for taking codes out on a small bill!.No shop charges for that.I'm well experienced in fixing cars and I know it's bogus charge, especially when we agreed beforehand on what to do and what it costs.P.S. His mechanic unintentionally let gas spray inside a customer's car .I saw it while I was in the waiting office.Watch out!

If you're looking for a one-stop-shop to get your oil changed, your car dirtied, and maybe your windows chipped then this is the place for you!I work near Tobola Automotive, and I have to say they appear to show complete disregard for their customer's cars! Most days of the week, they have their customer's cars parked so close to the street that pedestrians have to walk in the road and delivery trucks park in the road.As an added bonus, the giant mud puddle on the corner of the intersection is conveniently placed near the parked cars - optimal placement for splashing!Needless to say, with the abundance of auto shops in this area, I would choose a place that has room to park my car safely.

NEVER AGAIN!... I took my car here to see what was causing check engine light to come on. So i explained to the person at the desk that I just wanted to know what was causing it. Soo 40 mins later, the mechanic came out and explained that the light was on because of ONE bad coil and that he switched it with an old one he had laying around. The owner calls me over and tells me my car is done and that its 200$. 200$!! for a literal 5 min job that i could have done myself. I Didnt ask for any work to be done on my car other than finding out why the light was on. To automatically assume that and that i had 200$ is ridiculous. Any shop ive ever been to some one would have came out and explained to the customer the issue with their car and their options BEFORE doing any work. Changing one coil isn't a 200$ job ..its a rip off!

I've come here the past 3 years to get my vehicle inspected and this year the owner tells me he can't pass the car due to the tint being too dark. What, did it darken itself over the years?? Rediculous.Service: Vehicle InspectionService: Vehicle Inspection
