Josh and his staff are so knowledgeable and kind. I came in as a referral from a different shop who recommended I get my alternator replaced. I came and spoke with the front desk girl (I m so sorry I can t remember her name) and she was very diligent in asking me questions to verify my needs. They actually went out and retested my car and found I did not need a new alternator and verified my car was good to drive. They definitely saved my day and my car and my wallet lol

Absolutely the best experience I ve ever had with an automotive shop. Josh was extremely helpful with all my questions through the process of them fixing my car from a small accident. Tim is an incredible owner and truly cares about his customers and the quality they receive. If that wasn t enough good service, the lady at the front was also extremely helpful and communicative the whole process and they even let me keep my car there for a couple of days after they finished to make sure I can find arrangements to pick it up. Will definitely use them for all my vehicle needs and recommend them to everyone I know! Thanks again everyone at Raleigh Auto Care!

These folks are the best, most experienced, and most knowledgeable people I have ever had the pleasure to meet in that business. They truly took the time and effort to diagnose and correctly fix problems with multiple vehicles of mine that no other shop in Raleigh could or would do. Also, Raleigh Auto Care employees were courteous, upfront, and very informative throughout the process with each vehicle. No wonder they have been successful in this business for over 40 years. I can't thank them enough!

Excellent family owned business. They do great work for an affordable price. I've had them maintain all of my cars over the past 4 years. They will even recommend you to get certain work done by the dealership and use your manufacturer warranty (if it's not already expired).

This is the best garage in Raleigh. They are honest and they do excellent work. Tim, Josh and the rest of the team are always ready and willing to help with any automotive issue you may bring them. I ve also purchased a vehicle from here as well, another great experience!

It's the first time in my life that I give a bad review for a business. At first they couldn't find the problem with my car and they quoted a high price to check it. The tall man with the hat is very rude. I thank the other employees, but I had to spend extra money because of this bad service. While I was trying to change the part myself, you came to me and said I wish you good luck, and you did not cause any trouble. Do not try to make an impression by telling the lady working that I am disturbing you. I paid you for the service you provided. Do not try to seem like you are right in the comments. When I asked why you did not fix it, you said, "It is a very difficult job, I don't want to deal with it." You are afraid, improve yourself or just work as an oil maintenance service, good luck

I've been taking my Dodge Ram 2500 diesel to Raleigh Auto Care for 13+ years. They have always provided fast, reasonable, and trustworthy service with a high level of technical expertise!

Raleigh Auto Care can't be trusted, especially for women. They lie about what they are going to do, hold the car for days while giving a loaner car that barely runs and charge hundreds of dollars for a part under warrantee. Do NOT give them your cell phone number. After flat out saying not to be contacted because of being taken advantage of, they continued to make contact for months after the service. If you'd like to know more about the experience, then feel free to read on.Raleigh Auto Care was contacted to replace a warrantee battery. The car's issues were explained in detail and Raleigh Auto Care was asked if they were available to change out the battery. They went through their list of possible issues and each scenario was debunked, explaining why each issue wasn't causing the problem. They were informed of a minor tune up 5 months prior and how the only work done to the car was changing the battery. The shop told me to bring my car and they would test the battery and change it per the warranty. Should have been easy, right? Wrong, oh, so wrong.After sitting at the shop for 2 hours, they were approached to find out what was taking so long. They informed me they don't know what's wrong with the car. They said they would change the battery and test the car to ensure it was running properly. If there were still issues, then they would need to perform diagnostic testing. They provided a loaner and said they would call when the car was ready.After 48 hours and no response from Raleigh Auto Care, a call was made. Turns out they spent 48 hours performing diagnostics on the car without authorization. They couldn't determine the cause of the ongoing issues and finally decided to install a new battery. Eureka! All the issues stopped. When the car was picked up, they stated this particular battery was known to have issues. Really? They why was all the diagnostic testing performed? Oh, I know, to justify running up a hefty bill and stealing someone's hard-earned money for part that was under warrantee. Then they continue to harass for months after being told not to contact ever again. I implore you to find another mechanic for your auto's needs.

We always choose Raleigh Auto Care for maintenance or repair work on our car and have for a number of years now. Having dealt with other businesses in this area, we know we can depend on Tim, Josh, Alexandria and supporting staff for accurate, knowledgeable and thorough work each time. They are ready to show us options we might not have considered and help us find the solutions that are as reasonable as possible. They know their customers well and give wonderful service tailored to our needs. All the staff are courteous, professional, efficient and friendly in working with us. I recommend this place hands down for any automotive need. The young lady at the front desk is very nice and friendly over the phone. She is knowledgeable about cars and carries herself in a professional manner. Tim is outstanding and honest, he will work with you. I have found that is frustrating to find a great mechanic, but with Raleigh Auto Care you wont have to go any further.

Towing: Told us 30m. 30m pass we called, they said 60m more. Waited 60m more (90m total). We call again, they said theyre leaving now, 40m away.Then they cancelled the whole pickup.Edit: Owner claims wrong business - but I used the tow service they were partnered with, and their number is the one I used to keep 'in touch' with status updates on the tow trucks arrival (or lack thereof). They deserve equal blame in my opinion, even if they are technically separate entities - Your reputation is only as good as the reputation of the people you partner with.

Showed up for a motorcycle inspection and forgot my registration, the guy at the front desk told me they could not do the inspection without the registration. I went back to North Hills Tire Pros because they had done multiple previous inspections for me with no registration. I asked my guy at North Hills Tire Pros if a registration was required for inspection and he said "no we can look it up by the VIN". Maybe Raleigh Auto Care should learn how to do this, or at least mention on the phone when making your appointment that they won't do it without your registration. 5 stars for North Hills Tire Pros!

These guys are GREAT! I have a highly modified 2000 Toyota MR2 and in two hours they were able to diagnose and repair a serious performance issue that had baffled and vexed at least three other shops, including the Fred Anderson Toyota dealership. The car is fun to drive again and running better than ever. I finally found a place I can trust to take good care of my odd little daily driver.

UPDATE:After a few years, I stand by this review. Still very pleased with Raleigh Auto Care.Original:I use Raleigh Auto Care for 4 of my cars and am EXTREMELY happy with them. I never feel "screwed" and they are honest. I found them after a series of very bad experiences at the local Subaru dealer. I recommend them 100%
