Neil and Woody were very courteous, kind and honest when taking on fixing my old Ford. They were willing to dig in and research when the part they ordered didn't fit. I'm very appreciative as not a lot of people will even work on it, much less keep at it until they figure it out. I actually felt kind of bad that it was such a pain! It's driving great now and I will definitely use them again for my truck & car maintenance needs.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I ve been in the area for over 4 years now! Neal and his team are the BEST! He s always up front and honest. These guys are the only mechanics me and my husband let service ANYTHING on our vehicles!

I ended up here after several bad and untrustworthy mechanics. Super glad I found this place. They are old school, but honest. I've taken my car here at least 4-5 times. They are my new go-to.

Oh boy. Look at the couple of negative reviews. Sounds to me like we re dealing with a bunch of arrogant crybabies. Especially saying that these guys are not friendly. I ve been going to North Raleigh radiator and Automotive for 25+ years, and never, not once a bad experience. When they do it the first time, they do it right. Nothing is cheap, but their pricing is better than fair. Their work is top quality. I ve known Neil, Woody, and John for a long time, and they would accept nothing but the best from their work they do. I highly recommend these guys more than any other automotive service center out there. I try to repair car issues on my own, but sometimes i just can't figure it out. Last week, i couldn't figure it out so i came to the sad realization that I would have to go to a shop and have them look at the car. My girlfriend recommended this shop. She took her car to them a couple weeks ago, and had no issues with the service. I decided to go with this shop too, and i'm glad I did. Friendly, fast, and fair. After doing business with this shop, those are the 3 words that I would use to describe them. Absolutely no complaints from my gf or myself.

Neal and his team were incredible to work with. Honest, transparent, trustworthy, and gave me the best service at the best price. I cannot recommend this place more highly. They did a great job in a timely manner at a beyond fair price. Loved working with them and my car came back better than I could have hoped.

I ve been taking my car here for years even before they changed location. They always do a quick, thorough, and high quality job. I trust the mechanics completely; they ve never tacked on any fake repairs or tried to drive up the bill with unnecessary fees. All the staff is accommodating, reliable, and friendly. I highly recommend you get all your repairs and inspections done here!

Woody restored the radiator for my 1970 428 Cobra Jet Mach 1 and did a spectacular job. A very knowledgeable and polite person to work with. The workmanship is superb and he went above and beyond my expectations. Communication was excellent and repair/restoration time was minimal. I had removed the 2 original metal rod braces for safe storage. Woody found some and replaced them on my radiator! I have two other original radiators from classic Mustangs I intend to have him restore in the near future. Very impressed and glad I found these guys!

The only place I ve come to rely on. Neal and the team take the time to explain problems to you and how the parts actually work. They are not here to screw you over or convince you to pay for things you don t need. After a careful websearch and a review of many local services, I brought my 36 year old and decaying RV radiator to Neal and Woody. They were very helpful in explaining the re-coring process and testing my radiator before beginning any work. They called me with a proposal, fair pricing, and then made me a beautiful "new" radiator from my old one that I feel confident will provide another 36 years of service. I highly recommend their services and expertise to anyone needing any type of radiator work.

Excellent Business to deal with, took care of a radiator I needed repaired quickly and charged less than what I thought it would be. The man cleaned it out, painted the area he repaired, took every step to make a quality repair. I was very new to the area when I first came here. The first time I called this business I have had THE best service. I was looking for a trustworthy mechanic and I found them! Quality work, I go to them for everything now because once you find a good mechanic you want to keep them! I appreciate them more than they know because they never tell me I need to fix unnecessary things! They can gaurantee recommendations from me!

Very good experience. I felt I was treated well and respectivle. I did not feel like I was being pressured in buying or replacing items I didn't need. Will definitely keep them in mind when I have an issue with my vehicle next time.

Capable and honest. If something doesn't need to be fixed right away, Neal will tell you (no up-selling!). If there's a better place to have the work done (e.g., exhaust system repairs), he'll give you a recommendation.

This is from work done a few years back, just getting into doing Google reviews.I took the Harrison radiator from my 1957 Chevrolet BelAir hardtop here for restoration. It was one on the rare side, for a Turboglide automatic equipped car so had to retain the original top and bottom tanks and overflow tubing. North Raleigh re-cored it to where it looked original and functioned better than 50s technology. I was very pleased with the results and it's still running in my car today.

They did an amazing job restoring one concourse radiator from three bad ones for my 1967 Shelby GT350, and they were very reasonable on price. Highly recommend!

I had a somewhat unique problem. I have a limousine service and our new (to us) 2007 Lincoln stretch was losing antifreeze behind the driver's seat. That's where the heater hoses connect to the heater for the rear compartment.Our local Ford and Lincoln dealers wouldn't even return my calls. I googled Auto A/C repair and realized I was on the wrong track.Then it hit me and I googled "auto radiator repair" and my prayers were answered. It seems kind of old school these days where every shop wants to be all things to all people, but a shop that specialized in radiator/heater issues was just what I needed.They couldn't get the stretch into their shop so they worked on it in the parking lot. Within an hour they had found the problem and fixed it for good at a very reasonable price, I will definately use them again.

Recently they looked at some things that a car dealership said i needed done. They checked the oils that they said needed changing and instead of just doing that, the mechanics looked at it, then said I didn't need it AND explained why I didn't. Phew! Saved me a bunch of $$

I never take my vehicles to any other place. They are honest and fair and I have never worried about being over charged for work and would give higher than 5 stars if I could.
