They lied to me about a free diagnostic quote.Iwas referred here by a friend who's family member is an employee at Gemco. After being told I would get a free quote I had my car towed to this shop thinking I had a blown head gasket. It ended up being my radiator which I felt we could fix a lot cheaper at home since they were charging almost 500 for labor. I called to let them know I would be having it towed to my home. I'm then informed I would have to pay a 100 dollar diagnostic fee. This would have been fine had I been told upfront if I didn't use them they would charge this ridiculous amount. I understand their time is valuable and should be paid for but I feel lied to. They didn't tell me the whole deal when I was on the side of the road in a vulnerable position. They told me what I wanted to hear to have it towed there.I will never use this shop and after hearing other people's experiences I'm glad I didn't go ahead with the service.

They were able to diagnose my car without it being able to start. My other mechanic could not get a code. They fixed it in one day and were very nice.

Been taking my car here for several years and always had a good visit, good outcome and never adding on or feeling g ripped off. Chris is a good guy and has a good business, busy too! Keep up the good work.Update again 2022. Still getting better. Chris and crew are good people and I like taking my cars here and has always been fixed right and good insight and talks to me about repairs and consults with me on potential issues. Never have they adding on a bunch of other repairs etc

I randomly stopped by Gemco today. Have never been and have zero history there. I had an issue with a low pressure tire losing air. The gentlemen that helped me was as nice as a human being could be. He not only helped me right away, he plugged the leak, showed me the screw in the tire and put me on my way. Extremely professional, efficient and courteous. Chris and Jen are very professional and make you feel very welcome. Chris put in a new alternator and battery and had it done in a day. Jen kept me updated every step of the way. Chris and his crew have always taken good care of me and my family. They replaced the motor in my mother's car. I have watched Chris, on more occasion than one, offer to drive customers home while their car is fixed. They provide quality customer service as well as vehicle service. They stay busy so call first and make an appointment or ride by and see what's happening. I will be back.

Outstanding service!! This is the most helpful and responsive auto repair business in the area. Their prices are fair and they serviced both of my vehicles the day I brought them in! The owner, Chris, is very hands-on and has great people skills! All the employees are very customer-centered and are totally committed to getting your vehicle back on the road!!!

SO GREAT!!! I cant say enough good things about this place! I took my car in and Chris had to order a part. When he got the old part out that went bad, he noticed it wasnt actually bad and could easily be fixed. He did this and didnt charge me anything. He could have easily put the new part in and charged me and I would never have known any better. This man is honest, knowledgeable, polite, personable and will always have my business!

When you move from your hometown to a new place, one of the hardest things to find is an honest mechanic and good doctors.I had tried a "reputable" mechanic in town and was told I would need breaks both rear and front... got a second opinion from Gemco and turns out I didn't need any breaks at all.by the time we got rid of the car (4 years later) we did have to replace breaks but only the fronts...this was when I knew we'd found a professional, and we've been going to Gemco ever since.what an amazing and honest establishment, with staff who cares.

Absolute worst experience ever. First of all our vehicle was hit by another customer at the mechanic shop and he never even saw it or heard the message from the person who hit our car, and returned our car damaged. Then he never fixed the issue with our check engine light. He did replace our transmission and then he replaced another part which was not the part that needed to be replaced because it did not solve the check engine light issue. he promised to make the repairs at no additional cost to us and then tried to charge us an exuberant amount of money and cursed me out over the phone. Finally after returning our car after having it for so very long the check engine light came back on and car shook again. This person is not professional is a hothead, has a temper and is poor at communicating. We had to constantly reach out to him to find out the status of our car. My son's car broke down today, had it towed to Gemco. As usual, completely professional service. I have brought several vehicles and have referred friends and family to them for years. Honest people, fantastic workmanship, great communication, value and pricing. Would not take my vehicles anywhere else. Thanks Gemco.

I took my car here because it was highly recommended by a couple of coworkers. I could not have been more pleased with their friendliness, their fairness, and their efficiency. They replaced brakes and rotors on Christmas eve and the price was incredible! We are already planning to take our son's car in for a tune up in the near future.

Dealing with car problems is always frustrating, but at least I don't have to be frustrated with gemco.Chris seems to be in charge here and he also works on the cars. He always takes time to talk with me about what work I want done, how he'll do it, and how much it will cost. He seems to have my best interest at heart, and genuinely cares about my time, money, and car.Also, the secretary is sweet and friendly. All in all a great place.

One of the only fairly priced repair shops that doesn't throw a wrench in the engine and tell you there's a new issue. They got me in on short notice and changed the O2 sensor quickly. The staff at Gemco is friendly and genuinely cares about the service they provide. Highly recommended.

I have had multiple frauds perpetrated against me by this shop. Took van to them with transmission issues and purchased a NEW one from them and received a rebuilt painted blue. Then was replaced with what new transmission shop says is a blue painted transmission painted silver.This shop has taken me for over $6300 in total for all repairs not including repairs done with the belief that initial repairs were indeed legitimate. The damages that were repaired every time the van was returned are also not included in the total. Something was always wrong when got van back including the mysterious oh have to tow van to dealership to have key fob reprogrammed - resulting in your TIPM AND BATTERY FRIED that s $1k, and it never even was taken to dealership at that time.I caught him lying, refusing to provide receipts for parts purchased (and if given was only after warranty was expired over a year prior and the issues with the van never being solved). Said would make right with the second but had refused to show paperwork to know who the manufacturer was. Or the hey you have an oil leak the day It was returned from 2nd transmission (yep more money from me!).So I sued him in court for the transmission he claimed he was duped by AAMCO Monroe with. I won only the part cost- not the labor or other costs, taxes, or the stuff that I didn t sue for like loss of use of van of over 70 days and consequent damages, diagnostic and retraining costs I was charged to determine the transmission was faulty .The owner (Chris Gemes- the only person I dealt with at the shop) tells me after court in text that no matter what the judge decided, I still have a 3yr/50k warranty as per work order. So why am I being refused the manufacturer information so that my new transmission guy can file a claim under that warranty since GEMCO now says I have no warranty since I sued him? Let me remind you again you stated in writing after you lost in court that I was still covered by the warranty. Yeah I think we all know what is up!!! And I tried to believe it you and not put this out there but you are forcing my hand! Leaving my family and disabled post 9/11 veteran husband with no vehicle! Gemco is the best garage in our area. Their service is thorough and fairly priced. The other and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this upstanding establishment.
