I went to get a set of heads machine( re surface). When to pick them up. To fine out that they look scratched not smooth. Ask Greg why they look like that and He got mad. To the point he call the police on Me for questioning the work. He told the police I thread him when I never did that. I waited for the police. When they arrived He explained the. I talked to the officer as well. I told him I will pay but it sad that We had to go through all that cause I questioned the work. He told the officer to tell Me not to come back. Like I will. Hopefully Yall have a better experience. I m not coming back. He is getting old He needs to retire.

I am very disappointed in the work I received from this shop . We dropped my cylinder head off Thursday 05-25 and picked it back up Friday Afternoon 05/26 hoping it was all done and done right the head was shaved and they left lines and grooves very deep all over the cylinder from using a dull bit . WELL he was closed over the weekend and Monday for Memorial Day so I was hoping my car would have been fixed Friday picking the head up but I had to wait a whole 3 days longer . My bf decided to bring it back Tuesday 05-30 (Today) because we was not satisfied with what we paid for. Anybody knows that when you replace a head gasket it has to be smooth and flat or else it wouldn t even do any good fixing it. Im very disgusted because more then likely I have to replace the whole head because they done shaved it so much it s no good . The owner claims that he shaved it better this time but I absolutely see no difference from the 1st time we picked it up . Now I have to WAIT even LONGER . Highly Don t recommend using this shop to shave any of your parts. HE sure did pocket my money and ruin my part.

Reviews from me are about either really good or really bad experiences; Greg's Auto Machine is really good.I had a small machining job on an antique, obsolete tractor engine block. One machining mistake and the engine could be lost. The 55 year old tractor can ONLY use that model of engine and it's NLA. I've owned it almost all of its 55 years and was nervous. It's a member of the family. Who could do the work? Who knew how? Who would bother with it?Greg Nolen did me a favor by even doing this job. AND, he didn't do part of what I thought I needed because, after inspection, I didn't really need it. It was better to leave that part of the engine alone. He also gave me some advice I didn't know I needed about the piston, rings and wrist pin and my choice of reassembly lubricants. I was about to make a mistake. He definitely did me a favor and I would have gladly paid a lot more than he charged me.I thought I knew engines but Greg Nolen TRULY knows engines. If you need (want) 700 or 1,000 or 1,400 HP for your street monster he can do that. If you need a 1942 Willy's Go Devil engine rebuilt he can find the unobtanium stuff and do that. Got a V8 flathead Ford that needs to be like new? Greg's is the place to go.They apparently enjoy what they do and they've been doing it for a very long time. They know WHAT to do and they're nice people too. Just tell them what you want and take their advice about how to get it; you'll be better off.They know a lot more than you do about engines.Service: Motor building

Had my motor rebuilt here and comes highly recommended. Greg is an awesome guy answers any questions and very reasonable on price. Hasn't been in business for 45 yrs for nothing

Greg, Gary, and Timothy have the knowledge and experience for pretty much any build. Good rates for outstanding work! I've had two of my SAAB engines (blocks, heads, and internals) machined here, and the work was done great. Thanks again y'all
