overpriced labor and parts. double charge on parts and labor. every other place i called the following monday had half the price they was charging. i needed a fix on a saturday and they was the only people open. i should have just waited. $750 for a starter replacement .

Very honest and knowledgeable mechanics and great leader, Dennis. The Company I work with use them for their vehicles' repairs and maintenance and we are pleased with their services.Thank you guys and keep up the good work

Excellent service. Very professional. Took care of us quickly and efficiently. We were passing through town when our Sprinter van signaled that the oil was too full. We stopped to call around for a mechanic who could help us at 4 pm on a Monday afternoon. Several declined. Dennis called us back and welcomed us to stop by. We were in and out in 20 minutes, after they drained about 1 quart of oil. I sincerely wish we had as great of a mechanic back home!Service: Oil change

Please don't take your car here ! The prices are hiked up on parts and the labor price is outrageous. I recently got some work done to my vihicle and when I got my bill I looked at parts price and called all major parts store to cross check the price and I was so upset at what I discovered. Sun automotive charged me Between $80.00 to $130.00 extra on their receipts for my parts compare to what the parts store actually charge. I was charge almost $200 for a part that actually cost $ 60 in part store with lifetime warranty or $100 the more highend version with lifetime warranty also. Please cross check your parts price with all top parts retailers price and hope you dont get a very hiked up price as I did. Yes he is friendly and seemingly nice but who wont be getting away with what the are doing price wise. Wont ever see my car again but why so dishonest.

This was the best emergency automotive experience I have ever had, hands down. Pull up a chair and read my review. I live in another town near Virginia so I come to Greensboro occasionally to shop around because I live in a dead town. So, my friend and I are in Greensboro driving to the mall. We stop at a light and when the light turns green I pull off. Well, when I do, the whole car shakes so bad. I immediately freak out when it doesn't stop and ask the nearest person where a shop is. They direct me to the corner of Groomtown Rd. And Gatecity Blvd. and tell me it's the best and cheapest. I drive down Gatecity very slow and arrive finally! I'm so upset at this point and ask a gentleman outside to please help me. He shows me to the office and that's when I met Dennis. At this point, he see's a frantic upset woman and immediately tries to calm me down. I tell him about my brakes and tell him they might be locking up. (It made sense to me since they were almost ready to be replaced) So they look and yes, the rotors were indeed ate up like a record lol. He gave me a estimate and I call my boyfriend to okay the price. They get done very fast with the brakes and test drive it to make sure they work fine. BAM! The car still shakes! The horror I felt! Panicked again, Dennis calms me down once more. They put the car on the lift and see the problem. It was my rubber ring on the drive shaft mount. He tells me it should be a cheap fast fix and not to worry. Well I have a KIA and they don't sell just that part separate. Dennis gives me estimate and it's shear panic! AGAIN! I call my boyfriend and I give Dennis the ok. Dennis immediately starts to call every business in the area to find a whole drive shaft. No prevail. So he calls out of the area and tells them he will pick it up himself. Mind you not, the shop is full of other paying customer's and I just pull up with no appointment freaking out and this kind of problem could take days at other shops. Dennis couldn't find my part that day and I had to leave the only means of transportation that my boyfriend and I had. PLUS, this was on THURSDAY! The weekend is here and some parts places aren't open on weekends. Let me tell you, by Saturday at around 1pm, Dennis calls and the car is finished! He not only drove and picked our part up, he then gave us a big discount. This kind of kindness has never happened to me at a shop. Most shops don't care about your mental state and take advantage of you or will put you at the end of the list and get to it when they get to it. By the end of the day when I first pulled in his shop, I felt like I have known him for years and was very comfortable. It was like a family there. The mechanics there work hard and care about your car and your safety. Thank you Dennis, you and your mechanics saved our car and wallet. All of you were more than shop workers to us that day. With that being said, I know everyone can't be as satisfied and have a great experience as I did. I've seen some bad reviews, every business has them. Every business. But this time, finally, I had a great experience at a mechanic shop and found a place to get my car worked on hassle free. A family environment place at that. Thank you again Dennis and employees! Great job!

Never again. My fianc� took his car here and firstly they aren t on one accord. The owner tells you one thing and the mechanic says don t listen to him , he s just trying to take your money. My fianc� went for one issue and when we picked up the car the same day it wouldn t start later that day. They switched out our battery like we wouldn t notice and the owner is arrogant and can care less. Please be careful going to this place or you will have to learn like we did or you will be out of work for two weeks because they made your car worse - they thought they could make it worse so I had to come back to them to fix it and spend more. Bought an used car from them. Waited a few days before reviewing to see if the car would break down or check engine light would come on but it hasn't. Owner has a friendly attitude and is willing to work with you to get a good deal. I would definitely go back for any maintenance I might need. Had a minor inconvenience but other than I would recommend you check them out.

Most professional, fair, and timely mechanics in the business. My husband and I have 4 cars and they ensure that all are in perfect and safe conditions at all times. We have purchased a used car from them for one of our children and we are looking to purchase another. First off the workers have a hard time keeping their eyes off a woman s body. Came because I needed new spark plugs. It took only 2 hours and they want to charge me for 3 hours of labor. I offered to pay for the right amount. Then they start going back on what they said, also telling lies. Next thing I know 2 grown men are yelling at me. Very unprofessional and brought up trying to duke me before I could. Telling on their self. Would not recommend!

Can't even put into words. Dennis remarked on my review and I clearly brought this to his attention three or more times. This company owes me the money I have lost on still being able to get back on the road. Not even three days after I left I can not crank this vehicle. I told him this and he said i would have to pay more and plus he said he cannot pay for my window that I asked them over and over to fix what they did. I just cant believe they broke my whole door panel. I hope whomever takes their cars to this place does more than I did to get what I deserve.

Took my car here and they told me I needed a whole new motor, I had my mobile mechanic come and replaced my ac compressor and car is running perfectly fine, I had my car towed here and they didn t even move my car. I asked how my engine was locked up and couldn t even get a reason or even how they knew it was locked. 0/10 !!!!!! When my car was towed here the guy was waiting for the guy to tell him where to drop my vehicle when he went to go turn the truck around the guy just walks off!!!!!! It s outrageous and yes I m talking about SUN AUTOMOTIVE 4703 W GATE CITY BLVD GREENSBORO NC

Went to find out what a noise going on with my car and was told it was a "torsion conversion issue" after they tested and drove it to hear the noise. Whatever the hell that was took it to another mechanic and it was something simple as an orfice that needed to be resized in the exhaust shaft. So pls be aware of your car before you trust a mechanic and his staff who are sure that they know it's something major to cost you alot when it could be something so small and cheap.I have been at shop I live in both states and I am a female that brought my white Lexus to your shop so your tech could check my car for a noise which was something simple that you all would have charged and arm and leg to NOT get to the root of the problem. So you sir are incorrect. You are an African gentleman with alot of young gentlemen whom work for you. You had a Range Rover in your lot that you were fixing. I can't correct a review when it's true!!!! Sorry accept a comment of critique to help you be a better shop

Bought a car with an inspection THEY did. 20 mins off the lot the car check engine light came on, they fixed it after MULTIPLE Failed attempts saying the vehicle was sold as is even though it was SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG & I was show the inspection they did.. Then two weeks later I found out it had An oil leak costing more than 2k because it was MULTIPLE places the oil was leaking. Basically sold a bullsh*t car.. if you buy a car make sure you BRING YOUR OWN MECHANIC & DO A THOROUGH INSPECTION!

Wasn't very clear how to get here. Had me turn right on Gate City Blvd off of Hilltop when all I had to do was go straight. The business was on the right.
