Roy s was recommended to me by a close friend who has had her car serviced there multiple times. Being new here, I hadn t a clue where to go.In short, Roy s is the best automotive center I have had the pleasure of going to. Matt, the service manager, is superb! He was honest about the work my car required, while also saving me money. Additionally, my tail light was replaced free of charge. When I called back, offering to pay for the light )since it was not listed on my invoice), they waived the charge.I will be returning to Roy s whenever I need work on my car. The VERY BEST of service at affordable prices!Thank you Matt and everyone at Roy s!

I go to Roy's because the service is consistently excellent. The vehicles for our personal and company use are thoroughly checked, the work is completed in a timely manner and the prices are fair. Plus, the waiting room is a good work environment.

This was my first time at Roy s. I saw a number of folks recommend them on Nextdoor after some posted frustration in the service at another long-standing tire replacement shop, which has recently been sold to new owners. I decided to give Roy s a try for my new tires. Their prices were competitive; they function BY APPOINTMENT so you don t have to dedicate half a day for first-come, first-serve service; they have free WIFI, coffee, and bottled water; and their waiting room and restroom is clean and comfortable. Very happy! The fella that made my appointment even came out to introduce himself to me. I ll be back!

Charged me a 1,000$ for a radiator and a new cap. He said they were really busy that It would be about a week before he could work on it. I told him to take his time don't have the money at this moment. I called back the Next morning to cancel and get my vehicle. Because I thought that was way too much. And he told me that he already did the job. So they basically lied to me

I ve received great service from Roy s Automotive on several occasions. On my most recent service they actually saved me from spending several hundred dollars that Precision Tune had told me I needed for brake repairs. Roy s called and told me that my brakes would be fine for at least a while longer. I was very impressed with their honesty and integrity which can often be missing when it comes to auto repairs. I ll definitely be returning to Roy s for any future repairs.

Oh my goodness. The Shop is one of a kind. Hats off to Matt and Dee. They are upfront and honest auto repairs professionals. I went in just to see what was making a flapping noise on the right side of my front wheel. Dee took it out for a test drive. When he came back the noise stopped. He saw I was a little puzzled so we both went back out for another longer test drive. The noise returned. I was told that my wheels needed to be rotated and they fixed right then and there. Yay!!! I read great reviews about Roy s auto center and every positive review is right on. I highly recommend this auto center to anyone who is looking for an affordable, friendly and reliable auto center. I brought my van in for a normal oil and filter service. This work was performed in a timely manner and at a fair price. The mechanic did an excellent job checking over my vehicle and making recommendations on further services that will be needed in the future. The staff at the front counter explained these recommendations and gave me quotes on getting the work done, but did not push me to have it done. They informed me of needed services and we came up with a plan to get them done over time as needed.Service: Oil change

If you want good service DO NOT come here. I brought in my Nissan Sentra to get an alignment and to get my breaks checked and worked on. I set an appointment days in advance to have my car seen. They took my car in at 11 and said they would be calling me shortly to inform me what the cost would be since we were not sure which breaks may or not be needing attention. Hours went by and I never received a call. I called them and they said they were test driving my car. And would call me back with an answer. Hours go by again and I decide to call them again. They answer and said they still were figuring things out and that the manager would call me back. I STILL never got a call back. At 5:15 I go back to the location considering they were about to close in 15 minutes. They cited being busy which is fine but they consistently left me out the loop and never gave me updates. They said they found no issues with my breaks and didn t even do the alignment. I left paying a 76 dollar fee for them just to check my breaks. I was never informed there would be a fee for checking my breaks. They were unprofessional and lacked communication. I left with a days worth of my time as well as 76 dollars wasted.It s a big disappointment that many reviews seem to be positive but this was the service that I was given.Services: Wheel alignment, Brakes

I have recently started using Roy's Automotive and I have been very pleased. It is easy to set up and appointment and they finish the work to my satisfaction very quickly. Recently, I had a headlight burn out. They worked me in and took care of me in 20 minutes at almost half the price I had paid at a dealership.I highly recommend Roy's Automotive.

Came in with no appointment late on a Friday afternoon to get my out-of-state license plate changed (screws were stripped out and awful), Cynthia took me right in -it ended up being more complicated than any of us had thought! They had to cut the screw off! But they got it done, and I COULD NOT HAVE done it by myself. Rumors are that I win the award for most challenging license plate change that they've seen!Now they are replacing my tires at the best price I've been quoted despite calling several places around town over the past few weeks. I've never been to a car place that was able to squeeze in a license plate surgery, tire change, and TPMS replacement less than 2 hours before closing (tires in less than an hour- the plate took a full hour and 20 mins!).Everyone in the shop is really nice and went above and beyond to help me out. I'm new to the area, but they have a customer for life! :)

EDIT Update July 2023: this check engine light has been very finicky to figure out but I am grateful to Roys for continuing to help me and figure it out. I ve returned there 3 times and they only charged for the initial check. The light kept coming on but it s finally fixed!!Initial Appointment in October 2022. 5 months later and I am Still Waiting for a part to come in. My car couldn t pass inspection without it. Not much communication from them. I have to call them each time and no better response.

It can be difficult to find an auto repair shop that you can trust and provides quality work. Roy's does both. They will only do the work that is required or that you ask to be done. If they find another problem, they will let you know, giving you the opportunity to say yes or no, fix it or don't fix it. You can feel comfortable they are not going to fabricate a problem just to make money. They inspect my car and only do the work that is necessary and they do quality work using the best parts and the work is guaranteed.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake replacement

It seemed to be a reputable business at first but after having examine my vehicle I realized they removed my Jack and kept it. I also noticed that most positive reviews are from . It s just a shame that in todays world Still try to be Low down and dirty. I m not the only one this has happened too when dealing with certain businesses here in Greensboro. Nevertheless karma doesn t see color- only actions. While I will not ever go here again. I wish them them well.

This was my first time visiting Roy s and I will 100% be back! I was extremely pleased with every single facet of my experience. There is such a high level of warmth and professionalism! When I called to make an appointment I was able to speak to the owner and she immediately made me feel at ease. Every single staff member I encountered was so pleasant and kind! My vehicle was taken care of and the work was top notch! Pricing actually came as a surprise because I was expecting it to be more for an oil change. There were no hidden fees no unexpected work or pressure for anything beyond what I needed. I have such a deep feeling of trust and respect with just a single visit. As a woman I felt understood and that everyone was being honest and extremely fair. I will absolutely be a repeat customer as they just gained me for life. Highly recommend!

I used the website to put in a service request to schedule an appointment. I received a phone call asking me to contact them to go over the info I provided and set up a time. I stopped by that afternoon (Wednesday) and spoke with them about the issue that I wanted fixed right away and some services I would like to have quoted. The gentleman said he wasn't sure if he would be able to provide me all the quotes immediately, but I told him I can wait to have the quotes when I drop off the car the following Monday afternoon. I show up to drop the car off Monday and spoke with the same person who had no idea who I was or why I was there. I had already typed up a list of the current issue plus the extra services to be quoted and included all my contact info. It wasn't until Friday morning that I received the quotes for the thing I want it fixed and some of the things I had asked for on the list. I am glad that they didn't proceed with the repair that I asked them to do because the price of the parts seemed unreasonably high compared to the prices I found on parts.ford.com and the labor seemed high as well. It seems that they were stacking all the labor hours for each individual item even though the times overlapped. Basically according to the service manual the repair of each individual piece all added up to 12 to 14 hours when the actual job would take closer to 6 hours because the same parts are being removed for each of the pieces. I paid almost $200 for them to provide me some of the quotes that I had asked for 7 (business) days earlier and not perform any repair. Great experience with Roy's. At the behest of our insurance company's opinion, I had towed my car to them with a plethora of problems that I knew would be pricey, and I was expecting somewhere in the neighborhood of $5,000 for repair. Well, not only did they get everything diagnosed quicker than I thought they would, but they ended up giving me a price that was less than half of what I had expected. There were a couple of items that had to be adjusted as they had gotten further along into repairs, and the folks there were prompt and accurate when communicating any changes in needs or prices, which was very helpful when it came to planning. I appreciate that they are very straightforward and honest about what is needed and what things will cost up front, and they are great at communicating any changes as needed.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes

Quality, honest, hospitable, efficient serviceThis was my first time getting service at Roy s, which I found and chose based their number and quality of reviews when I searched auto care in my area. The reviews all made reference to the great customer service and after my visit, I completely agree.When I first called asking if they could service my AC, the staff member I talked to was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The staff cordially asked that I bear with them while they finished other customers services and worked me in and I expected to be waiting for a decent amount of time since I was a walk in.I barely waited 5 min and they were able to fit me in right away even as a new customer walk-in. They provided me with their recommendations of what to first address based on what was necessary and most economical rather than automatically jumping to high cost repair.The service was efficient and before I knew it, they were finished. They went over services performed and were very knowledgeable and informative. Extremely friendly and professional staff and service. Didnt know what was wrong with my chevy tahoe 08. They diagnosed it immediately and turns out it was the pressure sensor in the fuel tank. The fixed it in a timely fashion . Great job

Roy's fixed an engine problem another company could not fix or diagnose. I was kept informed of what was happening and they explained to me what the problem seemed to be and what options I had. It has been almost a month and I have not had any problems. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the price for the repair was less than what I expected. The staff was friendly and greeted me as I was entering the building the young man asked what he could help me with I told him I was their 12:00 appointment he took my keys and they went straight to work . My truck had been misfiring and after not being able to fix the problem myself, I came upon Roy s because of the great reviews. The reviews don t lie! This is by far the best shop I ve ever worked with.They kept me informed of my vehicle every step of the way. My work was done in a timely manner. They called me to let me know what was going on and what needed to be fixed, they told me how much (estimate) and even asked me what type/brand of part I want put back on my truck, which other shops have not done for me.The shop was clean and organized. The staff were great! Everyone I talked to in person or over the phone was helpful, informative, professional and pleasant. I called and set and appoinment and the guy on the phone was friendly. When I was there, the receptionist lady and the man at the phone were just as friendly. The wait wasn't long for the car inspection, and the waiting room was beautiful, spacious, and full of magazines, snacks, a clean bathroom, and free wifi. It was an excellent place, and they dealt with me as if they expected me to come back as a friend.

I'm new to North Carolina. In my 54 years of driving. I found Roy's is by far the best Automotive repair shop ever. Their courteous, competent and professional service cannot be beat. They have the best customer lounge complete with complimentary Wifi, coffee, water, charging station and snacks. And spotless restrooms, too. Roy's pricing is fair and honest. Take your car to Roy's and don't worry. You won't be sorry. They'll do a great job, and if it takes a while, they offer a complimentary ride home. I drive past dozens of auto repair shops to get to Roy's and it's worth it. Thank you, Cynthia, for creating such a great company.

It has helped knowing that they have a courtesy vehicle for those times when I need to leave a vehicle for an extended time. Everyone is very informative and friendly. Roy s is my go to place for all my automotive needs! Staff is friendly, professional, and efficient! I grew up in an Auto Repair garage in a small town in Upstate NY and know my fair share about vehicles. As a woman, I find it difficult to find a repair shop that doesn t try to take advantage of my gender and pull a fast one over in me. I have never gotten that impression from Roy s and I am always pleased when they take the time to explain what they did to your vehicle and what they recommend. I highly recommend them!
